The Ordinary’s New Retinal Emulsion: The Most Potent OTC Option
The Ordinary, a Canadian company known for its affordable and effective skincare products, has recently launched a new retinal emulsion that is touted as the most potent option available without a prescription. Priced at just $14.99, this retinal 0.2 emulsion is causing quite a stir in the skincare community.
Claims and Promises: Age Support and Visible Results
The Ordinary claims that their retinal emulsion is not only potent but also gentle on the skin. Promising age support and visible results after just two uses, the company suggests that users may experience an increase in firmness and a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles. These are bold claims, but The Ordinary backs them up with scientific research and the use of soothing ingredients.
Understanding Retinization and the Importance of Encapsulation
For those unfamiliar with the term, retinization refers to the irritating side effects that can occur when using retinol or retinoid products. These side effects often include redness, flakiness, and irritation. The Ordinary’s new retinal emulsion contains encapsulated retinal theide, which means that the active ingredient is surrounded by a protective capsule. This allows the retinal to penetrate deeper into the skin without causing as much irritation.
Personal Experience and Testing
As a skincare enthusiast, I am excited to put The Ordinary’s new retinal emulsion to the test. I will be closely monitoring my skin for any changes in firmness, fine lines, and overall texture. Stay tuned for updates on my personal experience with this promising product.
Final Thoughts and Considerations
With its potent formula, affordable price point, and promising claims, The Ordinary’s new retinal emulsion is certainly worth a try for anyone looking to incorporate retinol into their skincare routine. Remember to always patch test new products and consult with a dermatologist if you have any concerns about using retinoids.
New Formula Features
It could be released more slowly and therefore more gentle, and they also have other ingredients in here that, in theory, are really soothing to the skin. They specifically have a synthetic avenanthramide now. What is that? Well, avenanthramide is found in oats and I guess the ordinary found a synthetic way to make this ingredient and put it in here for soothing barrier support again, the claims are huge.
Price and Testing
The price is not, but I want to see if this actually works and Im going to be putting it to the test on my body, yi yi yi, to see whether or not it works, and I would put it on my face, but I kind of irritated My skin and we all know that we dont want to up our Skin Barrier, especially when trying new products.
Personal Experience
Let me explain the disaster Ive been dealing with in the middle of my chest. This all started pretty recently, but its been very, very bothersome to me. I essentially have always had these acne scars on my chest area and whenever you look at me like on video or in person, you cant really see it. But when you look up close, I almost look like a little Dalmatian with like a bunch of white spots or like a leopard, and all of these are acne scars that are left behind and as I get older, you know that I apply my sunscreen every day, But I will say sometimes I dont always get to my neck and my chest.
The Ordinary: Revolutionizing Skincare
The Ordinary, a beloved skincare brand known for its affordable yet effective products, is now making waves in the dermatology world with its new Retinal Emulsion. This innovative product is set to revolutionize the way we treat various skin concerns, from acne bumps to sun damage.
Sun Protection Fail
The importance of sun protection cannot be stressed enough, yet many of us still fall short in this area. As the individual in question shares her experience of sun damage due to inadequate sunscreen application, we are reminded of the lasting effects that UV rays can have on our skin.
Acne Troubles
Acne breakouts can be a nightmare, especially when they persist for months on end. The individual’s description of acne bumps that feel like blackheads and sebaceous filaments highlights the frustration that comes with dealing with such skin concerns. The impact of sweating and lack of proper hygiene on acne formation serves as a cautionary tale for all.
The Intriguing Braille Touch
The unique comparison of acne bumps to Braille, with the tactile feel of the bumps described in detail, adds a touch of complexity to the narrative. The use of sensory imagery brings a new perspective to the discussion of skincare struggles, making the reader consider the physical and emotional toll that these skin issues can have.
A Call to Action with The Ordinary
With the introduction of The Ordinary’s Retinal Emulsion, individuals dealing with stubborn acne, sun damage, and other skin concerns now have a promising solution at their fingertips. The brand’s reputation for delivering quality products at an accessible price point makes this new release all the more exciting for skincare enthusiasts and dermatologists alike.
The Ordinary’s New Retinal Emulsion: A Detailed Review
So, I want to get rid of them and I’m going to be using this. I’m going to log every single time I use it, take before and after pictures, and we’re going to see if this does or does not end up transforming my skin the way it claims. They say that it soothes and refines texture – that is my main objective. When I feel it does, it feels like Braille.
Even Skin Tone and Boost Luminosity
They said that it evens skin tone and boosts luminosity. Obviously, this is not a scar treatment product, but does it end up helping with my acne scars, especially over time? I want to find out.
Improve Skin Firmness and Elasticity
They say that it improves skin firmness and elasticity. I don’t have a lot of those issues here, but depending on how it goes, I might try them on my smile lines or even the crow’s feet, even though they say not to use this near the eyes.
Visibly Reduces Dark Spots
By the end of the bottle, they claim that it visibly reduces dark spots. I want to see if it works on any of these dark spots, as well as the light spots. Of course, it’s supposed to be more soothing to the skin, so hopefully, not having you go through that retinization. Obviously, everyone’s skin is different, but that’s what I am going to try.
Initial Impressions
Okay, so you’re just late. Let’s go to the bathroom. Let’s put this on my chest and, um, let’s start tracking this progress. So when I look at my chest, this is what I see. Do you see all of that acne scarring and then right here? Do you see that unevenness and texture they’ve been driving me nuts? We’re going to try this on them. That is a bright, bright color. I’m going to do this for just a few days and see if it improves anything. If this works, I’m probably going to put it on my face too. Catch you in a few days.
Follow-Up Observations
Hey, putting this on my chest again, it’s kind of hard to see but there’s still all this stuff. As I’ve been using this, I’ve started to notice that it doesn’t blend in as well as I wanted to. The color is a little bit off and even though I’ve used it more than twice, I’m not actually seeing those immediate results that they stated. Good morning. At this point, my face is looking crustier than this area, which is really interesting.
Progress Update
At this point, I’ve started to notice some differences in my skin. When I look in the mirror, all of those little kind of brown spots, those little areas of discoloration are starting to lift. Now, I still have scars. I don’t think my post-inflammatory hypopigmentation from years ago is ever going to be fully gone until I do chemical peels or lasers, but I do feel like it’s looking better.
Initial Impressions
I’ve started putting a little bit of the retinal emulsion on my cheeks to test it out on my face. I’m really liking the results so far. However, since my face has thinner skin, it’s been getting a bit drier due to retinization. I had taken a break from using a retinoid for a while, so the adjustment period is to be expected.
Texture and Application
Upon closer inspection, I am a little impressed with the product. Just a word of caution, though – it’s important to use it sparingly as it can appear a bit like mustard if applied too generously. Despite this, I’ve noticed significant improvement in my skin texture, although those pesky bumps around my chest area are still persistent and frustrating. The emulsion has started to get a bit goopy in the cap as well, which can be a bit messy.
Use and Benefits
Two things have become apparent to me – firstly, the emulsion has a yellowish hue that might make daytime use challenging, so I prefer to use it at night. Secondly, despite its slightly goopy consistency, I’ve found ways to make it work for me. I’ve even started applying the excess product on my shoulders, the backs of my hands, and my face with no signs of irritation.
Personal Experience
Recently, I had a mishap while traveling that impacted my forehead. I was swimming in a pool that turned out to be smaller than I anticipated, resulting in an unexpected collision with the pool edge. Despite the minor setback, I’ve continued to use the retinal emulsion and have been pleased with the overall results.
Initial Impressions
This is what we’re playing here. I feel like I’ve been testing this for quite a while and I’m just about ready to give you my final thoughts on it. I’m actually applying it over damp skin and it’s been working really well. I think I just have a really high tolerance to retinoids, and then I do put a little bit extra over here. I’ve really been loving it right here.
Application Caution
Only thing you need to think about is because we have a busted up forehead we’re not going to be wiping this on our open wounds. Now are we no? We are going to care for those open wounds responsibly.
The Benefits of Toner Pads
These are toner pads, um again, I’ve been learning so much about how these are used in Korea for micro dust – and, let me tell you Los Angeles – has a lot of so called micro dust, AKA pollution, I guess in Germany they call it micro dust as well. Someone commented that this is where we’re at. Open your eyes, if you’re going to swim and always check the depth of the pool, that’s all.
Longevity of Product
Well at this point, it’s been pretty much 2 months and I’m actually shocked that I still have product in this bottle that was only $15. But let’s look at the before and after photos and actually talk about how this went hello from me and my busted up forehead. It has been over a month and a half, and I need to tell you what this has done or not done to my skin and I’m actually shocked.
Open Flesh Wound Coverage
I did a photo shoot with this open flesh wound on my head and the makeup covered. The open flesh wound I’m just saying shout outs to Deepa and this tinted concealer because it literally concealed my open flesh wound that is now healing. Yes, I am going out like this today.
Product Performance
The Ordinary product has far surpassed my expectations in certain areas and completely underwhelms me in others. The main claims about this were that for under $15, you’re basically getting a soothing, more sensitive, skin-friendly retinoid that’s super potent. It helps with texture and up to two uses helps with Fine Lines, wrinkles, and evening skin tone. My main goal was to help with little bumps that, as you can see, I still have after a month and a half. I still have these Braille-like bumps that are driving me nuts. They have these little blackheads, and I thought that this was going to help resurface the skin and make them go away.
How Retinoids Work
Retinoids work by binding to the R and RXR receptors, causing changes in the skin that stimulate epidermal growth factors. This tells your skin cells to make more skin cells, thickening your skin on deeper levels, and causing flaking or retinization on the top. What’s great about this is that I had zero retinization. I used to use prescription retinoids; I’m not on one currently, but I had paused and went back.
The Ordinary Retinal Emulsion: A Game-Changer for Sensitive Skin
Sometimes I break out when I try new products, but this retinal emulsion from The Ordinary did not break me out at all. I did feel a little bit dry after my first or second application, but that quickly resolved, and my skin felt great afterward. This product is truly fantastic for super sensitive skin.
Advanced Skincare Without a Prescription
I believe this retinal emulsion is a wonderful option for anyone looking to take their skincare routine to the next level without needing a prescription. However, I was disappointed that it did not help to resurface my skin as I had hoped.
Say Goodbye to Sebaceous Filaments
One surprising benefit of using this retinal emulsion was that it almost completely eliminated my sebaceous filaments. Those little “boogers” that people often mistake for blackheads were noticeably reduced after using this product. I was not expecting this result, but I am thrilled with the outcome.
Improving Acne Scars and Uneven Skin Tone
Treating acne scars, whether they are hypo or hyperpigmentation, can be incredibly challenging. However, after using the retinal emulsion, I noticed a significant improvement in my skin tone. The areas where I applied the product looked much better than the areas I did not treat. My skin appears brighter, healthier, and the uneven coloration is significantly reduced. The improvement in my acne scars is truly remarkable.
The Unexpected Results
Do you see them theyre like little leopard spots, theyre still here, but they’re, not nearly as bad and to see that in less than 2 months? I was able to get a reduction in these that Ive had for years, like thats crazy, they’re not gone, but like they’re way better. The skin is definitely brighter.
Surprising Firmness
I do feel like it is firmer, actually, which is amazing um. I didnt have a ton of fine lines and wrinkles here, but again, as we spoke about those um fruits whatever is it a nectarine? Is it a peach? Is it a beting? I don’t know what it is, but sometimes when I lay down I get like a crease here and that wrinkle has pretty much completely gone away.
The Sebaceous Filaments Conundrum
Obviously, I wasn’t laying on my side right before this video but like wrinkles, absolutely firmness. Absolutely color. Absolutely was not expecting it to literally help get rid of the sebaceous filaments, but it did. Here’s the problem. The blackheads, which I thought was going to help because that’s how retinoids work, the blackheads are still there. The Braille is still brailing in this one area and it is driving me nuts.
The Struggle With Picking
I think I just need to go chemical peel it because I’ve been trying to not pick it. I know I could get them out if I extract them but girl. I am trying. So hard to not pick because I am a picky person, and I know that it’s bad for me and it’s a stress response, okay.
The Ordinary Is Making Waves With Their New Retinal Emulsion
For skincare enthusiasts looking to elevate their routine, The Ordinary’s new Retinal Emulsion is a game-changer. Whether you’re a newcomer to advanced skincare or already have a retinoid in your regimen, this product offers the next level of benefits without the need for a prescription.
A Little Goes a Long Way
It’s important to note that this emulsion is potent, so a little bit goes a long way. Be cautious not to overapply, as it can leave a slight yellow tint on your skin. Using it at night is recommended to prevent breakdown in the sun, and the pump applicator ensures easy dispensing.
Comparing Applicators
While some may prefer the dropper applicator for precision, the pump provides convenience. There may be a slight issue with the emulsion getting gummy inside the cap, but it’s a minor inconvenience compared to the overall effectiveness of the product.
Value for Money
Priced at just under $15, the Retinal Emulsion from The Ordinary offers exceptional value for its quality. It may not be the absolute best retinoid on the market, as competitors like the medicate retinol serum are considered superior. However, for its price point, it’s hard to beat the results it delivers.
Unexpected Reduction of Sebaceous Filaments
The youth to the people is like 60 that stains your skin too, but I was actually shocked to have the unexpected uh unintended reduction of my sebaceous filaments. I do feel like this entire area that I’ve applied. It is brighter um.
Improved Skin Appearance
I just yeah it just. It looks better to me and of course I didn’t want to apply this on the scratches and the blemishes that I had on my skin now. I don’t want to apply it to my open flesh wound, but this is going to be staying in my routine and the oats in here the aan the mind the ingredients that are soothing to the skin.
Gentle Formulation
I love that this is more gentle now. Did it do anything in two uses? If you use your imagination, sure it does something in two uses, use it at least for a week before you’re, actually looking for results but take before and after pictures, so that you know I was really really impressed with this.
Top 10 Favorites from The Ordinary?
I think this might be like I’m not in my top five I’m wondering if this is like in my top 10 favorites from The Ordinary. I might have to test it for another two months before I can give you that answer, but yeah that’s what I thought about it. Make sure that you stay hydrated.
