New Packaging Design
The Urban Decay Face Bond Foundation comes in a unique squeezy tube packaging that has been patented. This design ensures that the product does not leak and you have to squeeze it out to dispense the foundation. This packaging does not affect the formula of the foundation.
Application Method
To achieve maximum coverage with the Urban Decay foundation, it is recommended to apply it with your fingertips. This method allows for better blending and coverage. It is important to work on one area at a time to ensure an even application due to the consistency of the foundation.
Suitability for Skin Types
The Urban Decay Face Bond Foundation is targeted towards normal, combination, and oily skin types. It promises to provide a natural matte finish, making it ideal for individuals with oilier skin. However, it can also work well for those with normal or combination skin.
Personal Experience
Upon trying the foundation, I found that the coverage was not as full as expected. The texture of the foundation is lightweight and almost dry, giving it a unique feel. It spreads easily and feels like a liquid powder when applied to the skin.
While the foundation did not offer as much coverage as anticipated, it provided a natural finish and felt comfortable on the skin. It is important to note that the scent of the foundation is reminiscent of SPF, adding to its lightweight feel.
Initial Impressions
I was expecting a lot more of a wow coverage, but no it’s very light. How much product do I need on my skin to get a medium coverage? I do see it on my skin, but it’s very minimal. I think the color blended in really nice. Oh look at my fingers, though. Look at that. We’re going to add a little bit more coverage. I want to see how it works on already set foundation. It’s not giving me the coverage with my fingers like I’m, not. It’s okay, but it’s like sheer, too light. I’m not understanding where the maximum coverage is with my fingers. It’s layering pretty good, though. I’m not going to lie, but I can see it in some of my areas right here in my skin, like sitting on top of my skin. I honestly lost count of how many dots I applied to the other side. We’re going to go with a brush this time.
Application with Brush
This is Rosen Ben c42 brush. I mean you can see the formula. It’s not fluid, it’s more so… I honestly don’t even know how to explain this texture. Like I said, it’s almost like this, like a water into a powder – oh yeah, I got the coverage a lot faster with the brush. You can see it spreading even but I am working pretty fast. With this formula, I will say I’m not using as much as a conventional, let’s say, like a pump foundation.
Initial Application
That way, a lot is not wasted trying to see if I can see more product on my skin on either side and I think pretty even but, like I said, theres a little bit more coverage on the brush side, which I kind of expected. Usually, I have more coverage on the brush side than my fingers, but they said with the fingers. You get the maximum coverage, which is not really what happened in my case, but I do like the applicator, not messy so easy to use.
Concerns and Adjustments
I wonder if this is going to oxidize. Oh, I went a little too happy with my brush went onto to my brows whoops going to fix those later. Hopefully I dont forget o I dont like it on my forehead. Let me see if my fingers will help melt it in it might look better as the day goes on, just because my forehead gets extremely oily, but this does not look good right now, its like the only spot on my face where I dont like it.
Overall Impression
The more I look at my skin, I, I think it looks really good, especially for my combination, skin. I I think this is going to be probably a staple in my honestly makeup, everyday routine, especially for the really hot days hot months, where I do sweat a lot and where its muggy its humid outside. I think my skin is going to love this, but of course well do the wear test today, its in the lower 70s and its a little drier.
Initial Impressions
Im probably not going to sweat as much, but we are renovating a bathroom, so Im probably going to sweat by helping Andre, but as of right now its definitely more on the matte side, I wouldnt even say this as a soft matte finish. This is more leaning towards a very match foundation. It is very, very comfortable, very comfortable on the skin, and my skin is loving.
Makeup Application
Im going to finish the rest of my makeup and Im really curious how this is going to wear with like cream products or how the cream products are going to apply on top. Too Faced the new sculpting and bronzing stick one of my current favorites seal Cosmetics. Blush in January, forgot concealer, whoops, Laura Mercier, the real Flawless weightless, perfecting concealer ver minerals lip liner in shade, cherished Rose, Westman atellier, new matte lipstick, their suede matte lipstick.
Final Results
This formula is insane its so smooth fall face is on and Im loving my complexion right now. Im a lot more on the matte side, which I love a soft matte like a little bit of that Luminosity peeking through the foundation. There is a little bit due to the blush and I would say the bronzer cuz theyre more on that natural finish, but Im really liking my face right now. My complexion, I was looking more closer on the forehead and I feel like I can still see where the foundation is sitting right here, but Im hoping its going to to melt a little bit more when my natural oil o oils, when my natural oils start coming More to the surface, but as of right now, I Im very impressed with the way this Foundation is setting and the way its looking on my skin like its its not there but its there.
Initial Impressions
I really really really like it. I’m going to keep you guys updated. We’ll see how the foundation is wearing. First update for the Urban Decay Face Bond Foundation, it’s been at least 3 and a half hours. I’m standing right by the window without a light. I’m not sweating as much as I thought I would because of how I’m helping Andre. I’m just wiping down the tile and then cutting some of the tile. It’s not much physical work, but it is hot. Upstairs, the skin is looking really good. It looks like I have powder on top of this foundation, but I don’t, so my combination skin is liking it. I’m looking glowy in my T Zone, but I don’t feel oily and my pores are not enlarged, like I’m still blurred. My forehead is looking better, which I thought it would. It’s softening the foundation, making it a little more creamy. It’s not really moving around, it’s not breaking apart. I am impressed so far.
Longevity Test
We are 7 plus hours in. We had dinner and just came home. I’m looking right now at my skin. I haven’t looked at my skin since I did the first update because we were finishing the tile in the bathroom and I started sweating a little bit more. I was running up and down the stairs. I’m not liking something right off the bat around my nose a little bit on the forehead.
Urban Decay Face Bond Foundation Review
After seeing the VIRAL Urban Decay Face Bond Foundation Review by Milabu, I was curious to try it out for myself. The review highlighted the foundation’s claims of being suitable for normal, combination, and oily skin types, promising a matte finish that lasted beautifully for hours. However, the outcome of the review left me with mixed feelings.
Glowy but Oily
Upon application, I noticed that my skin looked glowy but not overly oily. Around the 3 to 12-hour mark, the foundation maintained a matte finish that had just the right amount of glow. However, on my forehead, where my skin tends to get oily, the foundation started to move and transfer.
Transferring Foundation Woes
As the hours passed, I could see the foundation streaking on my forehead, emphasizing the oiliness of my skin. Even with minimal movement, the foundation transferred easily, leaving me less impressed with its longevity.
Disappointing Wear Time
Despite being targeted for oily skin types, the foundation failed to deliver on its promise of long-lasting wear. After just a few hours, I noticed the foundation peeling around my nose and chin, especially after eating. The heaviness around my oily areas only added to my disappointment in the product.
Peeling Issue
But it looks like it’s peeling. No, not a fan, especially in the T Zone area. Don’t like it. I’ll keep you guys updated, hopefully I’ll get another 3 hours, but we’ll see what it looks like and I used up two blotting shades and a lot of foundation came off.
Application and Setting
I feel like final update for the Urban Decay Face Bond Foundation, the self-setting Foundation. Overall, I like the application. I like how it looks on the skin, how it sets on the skin like on its own.
Longevity Issues
Excuse me, but I’m just not impressed with the longevity. I don’t know what it is, but I feel like I’m just so oily on my forehead around my nose and my chin. The way this makeup foundation is breaking apart is not good. For it to be a waterproof formula, it’s not supposed to move around like this.
While the foundation initially offered a beautiful matte finish with a subtle glow, it quickly unraveled as the hours passed. The transferring and peeling of the product left me feeling unsatisfied, especially considering the claims made by Urban Decay. For those with oily skin like mine, this foundation may not be the best option for a long-lasting, flawless look.
In my skin, I always wear the foundations multiple times before I make my final thoughts. I’m going to end it here.
