Introduction
Some of the formulas have changed, but I have tried this recently and it’s still just as good, and I still recommend it and I think twelve dollars is not too bad now today as well.
In this article, we will discuss the ULTA 21 Days of Beauty Sale and some picks from a dermatologist’s perspective. One specific product we will examine is the Tula Brightening Treatment Drops Triple Vitamin C Serum.
First Aid Beauty Pure Skin Face Cleanser
The First Aid Beauty Pure Skin Face Cleanser is one of the standout products in the Ulta 21 Days of Beauty sale. Usually priced at nearly twenty-four dollars, you can now get it for only twelve dollars. This gentle cleanser is a mild cream to foam formula that effectively cleanses your skin without drying it out. It contains licorice root, which has anti-inflammatory properties, making it suitable for sensitive skin. The cleanser is also infused with Alan toen, a hydrating and moisturizing ingredient that helps to maintain your skin’s moisture balance. It is important to note that this cleanser contains fever few extract, so if you have an allergy to this ingredient, it is best to avoid it. However, for those without allergies, this fragrance-free cleanser is an excellent option.
Double Cleansing and Heavy Makeup
While the First Aid Beauty Pure Skin Face Cleanser is effective on its own for removing sunscreen and light makeup, those who wear heavy makeup might want to consider using a cleansing balm or cleansing oil as a first step in their double cleanse routine. The additional step will ensure that all traces of makeup are thoroughly removed, leaving your skin clean and fresh. Incorporating a double cleanse routine can help to prevent clogged pores and breakouts, especially for those who wear heavy makeup regularly.
Changes in First Aid Beauty
First Aid Beauty has undergone some changes since its inception on YouTube. The brand was recently acquired by a large conglomerate, leading to some alterations. Despite this, the brand continues to provide high-quality skincare products that are trusted and loved by many.
YouTube Shopping Feature
To make it easier for you to find the products I recommend from the Ulta 21 Days of Beauty sale, the YouTube shopping feature is available. Look for the small shopping bag icon in the lower corner of your screen. By tapping on it, you will be directed to a selection of the products that I personally recommend. This feature is available starting today, August 28th.

LMS Pro Collagen Night Cream
You also have LMS Pro collagen night cream. I want to talk about this because I do get a lot of questions about this. It is frequently featured across social media this brand as a whole. I have tried this, you guys, into cut to the chase. I don’t think it’s worth it. Is it bad? No, but there are just a lot better options out there. I found this to have a very strong fragrance. You all know it’s not my preference to have fragrance in skincare. It’s a common allergen in skincare products, so I try and avoid it and leave on things, and I really don’t like it. If the fragrance is headache-inducing, which I found to be the case with this, and at Baseline, it’s a hundred and five dollars even 50% off. It’s a pass for me.
Beekman 1802 Midnight Milk
Now, on August 30th, there is a product that has caught my attention, and I’m seriously considering buying it. I haven’t tried it, it’s the Beekman 1802 midnight milk, better aging sleep mask. Now, I’ve tried quite a few products from Beekman, and I’ve actually found that everything I’ve tried has been really good. Frankly, logical formulations and the reason this caught my eye is that it is marketed as a sleep mask which, in my opinion, is just a buzzy term for PM moisturizer or night moisturizer. They tend to be thicker in consistency, although there is a lot of variation from product to product. Anyway, this has melatonin in it, which is an ingredient that I have a lot of interest in.
ULTA 21 DAYS OF BEAUTY SALE PICKS NOT TO MISS | Dermatologist
Melatonin: More Than Just a Sleep Hormone
When you hear the word melatonin, the first thing that comes to mind is probably its role as a sleep hormone. It helps you transition into a restful slumber at night. However, melatonin also has surprising benefits for the skin. It is an antioxidant that shows promise in skincare.
Bakuchiol: The Retinol Alternative
One of the ingredients in this product is bakuchiol, which is also an antioxidant. Many people claim that bakuchiol can be a great alternative to retinol, but there is limited scientific evidence to support this statement. Bakuchiol has been found to activate some of the same genes that retinol does, and small clinical studies suggest that it can improve the appearance of wrinkles. However, there is no histologic data available to prove that it has the same collagen production benefits as retinol.
Centella: A Botanic Ingredient for Healing and Recovery
Another ingredient in this product is centella, a botanical ingredient known for its healing and recovery properties. It has been shown to be beneficial in promoting wound healing. Combined with the antioxidant effects of melatonin and bakuchiol, centella adds to the potential benefits of this skincare product.
Hyaluronic Acid: Hydration for the Skin
This product also contains hyaluronic acid, a humectant that is incredibly hydrating for the skin. It helps improve the water content of the stratum corneum, the outermost layer of the skin. Hyaluronic acid is known for its ability to retain moisture, making it an excellent ingredient for maintaining skin hydration.
The Importance of Antioxidants in Skincare
With both melatonin and bakuchiol being antioxidants, this product offers the potential benefits of protection against free radicals and environmental damage. Antioxidants play a crucial role in neutralizing harmful molecules that can accelerate skin aging and damage.
This skincare product available at the ULTA 21 Days of Beauty Sale incorporates promising ingredients such as melatonin, bakuchiol, centella, and hyaluronic acid. While it may not be a direct substitute for retinol, it offers antioxidant benefits and hydration for the skin. Incorporating antioxidant-rich products into your skincare routine can help improve the overall health and appearance of your skin.

The Benefits of Goat Milk in Skincare
Ultimately, that helps your skin turn over more efficiently allows the enzymes in the top layers of the skin to operate better so that you don’t get a buildup of dry, dull, rough, coarse skin texture. All the Beekman products, one of their signature ingredients is goat milk, which is a source of lactic acid that can be moisturizing and soften the skin.
Bifida Ferment: A Powerful Ingredient
This also has bifida ferment, which is an ingredient that you’ll find in a lot of hydrating toners. It is in theory rich in antioxidants, often very humectant, rich hydrating soothing, and this has Palmetto oil tripeptide. 38, which is a peptide that is making an appearance in a lot of my recent reviews.
The Power of Matrixyl Synth6
Lately, a lot of the products I have tried have this newer peptide called matrixyl synth6 and it’s the one that allegedly is going to boost the production of six different proteins in your skin. But remember that information comes from in vitro studies, so not on actual people and their skin, but in people this peptide has been shown at two percent strength, at least to improve the appearance of wrinkles around the eyes.
Pericone MD High Potency HA Intensive Hydrating Serum
Now, back to the Ulta sale picks. On August 30th, the Pericone MD High Potency HA Intensive Hydrating Serum will be available. I wanted to talk about this because there’s an ingredient in it that I ended up going down the rabbit hole exploring.

Spermidine: An Intriguing Ingredient for Anti-Aging
I hadn’t really heard about it before, but I recently stumbled upon some interesting information about an ingredient called spermidine. It is a polyamine that is released from a bacteria and manufactured in the lab. While there is limited research on its application in skincare, there are some potential benefits that are worth delving into.
Activating the Pathway of Autophagy
One of the significant findings is that spermidine has been shown to activate a pathway known as autophagy. Autophagy is a natural cellular process that helps to remove damaged or dysfunctional components, promoting cellular renewal. By stimulating autophagy, spermidine may enhance skin health and potentially contribute to anti-aging effects.
A Promising Ingredient for Cardiovascular Health
Aside from its potential benefits in skincare, spermidine has also been extensively studied for its positive impact on cardiovascular health. Research suggests that it may have anti-aging properties by improving cardiovascular function. By harnessing its antioxidant properties, spermidine may help combat oxidative stress and reduce the signs of aging.
Barrier Recovery and Hydration
In theory, spermidine may also assist in barrier recovery, making it an appealing ingredient for those seeking hydrated and soothed skin. When combined with ceramide, niacinamide, and peptides, it creates a hydrating and soothing toner that may aid in restoring the skin’s protective barrier.
An Expensive Option
While the potential benefits of spermidine are intriguing, it is important to note that the research on its effectiveness in skincare is limited. Furthermore, the product containing spermidine discussed in this article comes with a hefty price tag of $135, even after a 50% discount during the ULTA 21 Days of Beauty Sale. Given the lack of extensive research and the high cost, it may not be a suitable investment for everyone.
A Hope for Future Affordable Alternatives
Although I won’t be purchasing this product, I wanted to bring it to your attention because of the interesting properties of spermidine. As a dermatologist, I will keep an eye out for more affordable skincare options that incorporate this ingredient. Perhaps in the future, I will find a product with spermidine that is more budget-friendly and can give it a try on behalf of you all.
The ULTA 21 Days of Beauty Sale runs until August 31st, so be sure to take advantage of the discounted prices on other skincare products that may suit your needs.
The Tricky Nature of Vitamin C Serums
Vitamin C serums, specifically those containing ascorbic acid, have been shown to help with collagen production and hyperpigmentation. However, formulating ascorbic acid correctly and ensuring its stability can be challenging for manufacturers. This instability can affect the serum’s effectiveness in delivering the desired results.
Stabilized Alternatives
To overcome the stability issue, some manufacturers use stabilized derivatives of vitamin C that are easier to work with and penetrate the skin more effectively. However, it remains uncertain whether these derivatives can convert to ascorbic acid and deliver the intended benefits.
The Tula Brightening Treatment Drops Triple Vitamin C Serum
This product utilizes a stable form of vitamin C called 3-oethyl ascorbic acid. While stable, it has not been proven to improve collagen. Additionally, the inclusion of ascorbic acid raises skepticism about its stability and effectiveness.
Potential Irritation from Citrus Extracts
The serum also contains citrus peel extract, which serves as a natural source of vitamin C. However, citrus extracts can be irritating, especially for individuals with fragrance allergies or sensitivities. Cross-reactions with the sensitivity can further exacerbate potential irritation.
The Benefits of Sea Buckthorn Oil
On a positive note, the serum contains sea buckthorn oil, which acts as an emollient and can provide nourishment to the skin.
The Tula Brightening Treatment Drops Triple Vitamin C Serum may be of interest to some individuals. However, its effectiveness in improving collagen and stability ascorbic acid is questionable. The presence of citrus extracts also introduces the possibility of irritation. Despite this, the inclusion of sea buckthorn oil offers potential benefits for the skin. Ultimately, it is important to consider individual preferences and sensitivities when selecting skincare products.

Vitamin C Serums: A Skeptic’s Dilemma
My reservations with vitamin C make this a product that I’m, you know, skeptical about. When it comes to vitamin C serums, you really just never know if they’re actually going to end up working out or doing anything for you. And if anything, they can end up being a lot more irritating. So on September 5th, a skincare favorite is going to be on sale the Ordinary’s Vitamin C serum.
Snail Mucin to the Rescue
The Ordinary’s Advanced Snail 92 All in One Cream is a product that I adore. I see results, uh, this is a product that, for me, works out really well. Not everyone, however, is keen on this product. The texture and concept can be off-putting to many people, but I’ve got to tell you, anytime I use this product or their Snail Mucin Power Essence, I see a noticeable improvement in skin elasticity, smoothness, and the diminishment of pores. It really is a very good product.
The Benefits of Snail Mucin
Snail mucin is not just hydrating, but it also has compounds that may be helpful for recovery. It has been investigated as an ingredient to help with people who have something called radiation dermatitis, showing promise in that area. It also contains anti-inflammatory compounds. The Advanced Snail 92 All in One Cream also includes Allantoin, which is very soothing, and dimethicone to help reduce water loss without feeling heavy or greasy on the skin. Additionally, it contains panthenol and hyaluronic acid, which are both hydrating ingredients and good for maintaining the moisture barrier.
ULTA’s 21 Days of Beauty Sale
If you’ve never tried it, I highly recommend ULTA’s 21 Days of Beauty Sale. It’s a great opportunity to snag some amazing deals on beauty products. One item that caught my eye is the Peach and Lily Wild Dew Treatment Essence. Now, I must admit that I’ve never been blown away by Peach and Lily’s products before, but this one piqued my interest.
The Beauty of Essence
Essences, in general, are wonderful products to incorporate into your skincare routine. They are typically hydrating and provide a nice base before applying other active ingredients. They help to hydrate the skin and improve the penetration of other products. This particular essence from Peach and Lily contains niacinamide, which is a ingredient that I personally love.
A Treat for the Skin
The Peach and Lily Wild Dew Treatment Essence promises to be a treat for your skin. With its hydrating properties and the added benefit of niacinamide, it seems like a product worth trying. Niacinamide is known for its ability to improve the skin’s texture, reduce inflammation, and even out the complexion. It’s a versatile ingredient that works well for many skin types.
The Packaging Dilemma
One thing that I appreciate about ULTA’s sale is that the Peach and Lily Wild Dew Treatment Essence comes in a tube instead of a jar. This is a relief for me because I’ve always purchased this product in the jar and have had some unfortunate accidents. The texture of the essence is quite viscous, and if you happen to drop the jar, it can end up all over the floor. So, having it in a tube is definitely a plus.
Good Deal, Same-Day Use
For me, the Peach and Lily Wild Dew Treatment Essence is a must-buy during the ULTA sale because it’s such a good deal. And I’ll definitely be using it on the same day I purchase it. I find that using an essence before applying other products helps to prepare my skin and improve the absorption of active ingredients. It’s a step that I personally enjoy and find beneficial.
The Benefits of Niacinamide
If you have no issues with niacinamide, then you’re in luck! This ingredient offers numerous benefits for the skin. Not only is it anti-inflammatory and antioxidant, but it also has anti-aging properties. It can improve the moisture barrier of your skin and is particularly great for those with oily, acne-prone skin. Niacinamide may also help slow down the oxidation of sebum, which can lead to fewer acne breakouts. Additionally, it has anti-redness properties and can even help with hyperpigmentation.
Phytic Acid: Antioxidant and Exfoliant
Another notable ingredient in skincare products is phytic acid. It functions as both an antioxidant and a mild exfoliant. By using products containing phytic acid, you can improve the texture of your skin. It is rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds, making it a highly beneficial addition to your skincare routine.
Eucalyptus Leaf Oil: Interesting Ingredient
One product that caught my attention is a moisturizer that contains eucalyptus leaf oil. Eucalyptus leaf oil is often used for its preservative effects and antimicrobial properties. However, if you have sensitivities to fragrances, there is a chance that you may react to eucalyptus leaf oil as well. It’s essential to be aware of this before trying the product. While I haven’t personally used it, the ingredients are intriguing, and it might be worth looking into.
Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Acid Cloud Cream
On September 8th, there will be a sale on the Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Acid Cloud Cream. This moisturizer, also known as the Barrier Moisturizer, is an excellent product that I recommend. However, it is on the pricier side, so keep that in mind. While there are many good moisturizers available on the market, this one stands out due to its luxurious consistency. It is richer than the gel moisturizer in the same line and works exceptionally well as a night cream.
The ULTA 21 Days of Beauty Sale
ULTA Beauty is known for its amazing sales and discounts, and one event that beauty enthusiasts never want to miss is the ULTA 21 Days of Beauty Sale. During this time, customers can get their hands on some of the best beauty products at unbeatable prices. As a dermatologist, I want to share with you some of my top picks from this sale that you definitely don’t want to miss.
The Power of Polyglutamic Acid
One product that caught my attention is a moisturizer that contains polyglutamic acid. This ingredient is not only hydrating, but it also improves skin elasticity. It acts as a barrier for the skin without feeling heavy or greasy. When I think of polyglutamic acid, I can’t help but think of the slippery texture of fermented soybeans. It’s truly a game-changer for your skin.
Gentle Exfoliation with Polyhydroxy Acid
Another product to consider is a hydrating toner that contains gluconolactone, a polyhydroxy acid. This ingredient helps to soften and gently exfoliate the skin. It also contains lactic acid and alpha hydroxy acid, which are known for their hydrating and smoothing properties. If you struggle with rough skin texture or keratosis pilaris, this toner is a great option.
Beekman Milkshake Toner
I also want to mention another Beekman product that caught my attention their Milkshake Hyaluronic Acid and Squalane Facial Toner. This toner is interesting because it provides hydration and may help subsequent products penetrate better into the skin. It’s not a necessary product, but if you’re interested in boosting hydration, this could be a great addition to your skincare routine. Plus, it contains mugwort, which is known for its beneficial properties for the skin.
The Benefits of Botanic-derived Ingredients
I am a dermatologist who is always on the lookout for new and innovative skincare products. One thing that has caught my attention is the use of botanic-derived ingredients in skincare. These ingredients offer a range of benefits, such as anti-inflammatory properties, antioxidants, and barrier recovery.
One such ingredient that I have come across is goat milk. Goat milk is a great source of lactic acid, which has hydrating and moisturizing properties. Additionally, goat milk is known to be soothing and gentle on the skin.
The Power of Sea Buckthorn Oil
Another ingredient that I find intriguing is sea buckthorn oil. This oil is rich in antioxidants and has emollient properties, making it a wonderful addition to any skincare routine. The antioxidants in sea buckthorn oil help to fight against free radicals, which can cause premature aging and damage to the skin.
Amp up Your Skincare Routine with Toners
Toners are often overlooked in skincare routines, but they can offer some great benefits. One of the advantages of using a toner is that it can act as an aftershave, providing extra moisture to the skin. This is especially helpful for those who prefer not to use a heavy moisturizer in the morning before applying sunscreen.
Toners, or essences as they are sometimes called, are hydrating and can help to soothe the skin. They are also great for removing any remaining impurities after cleansing. So, if you’re looking to amp up your skincare routine, consider adding a hydrating toner or essence.
Ultimate Deals at ULTA’s 21 Days of Beauty Sale
Now, let’s talk about the ULTA 21 Days of Beauty Sale picks that you should not miss. On September 14th, ULTA is offering Clinique’s Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm makeup remover at half the price. This normally priced $38 product, which contains 3.8 ounces, can now be purchased for a great discount.
I have personally tried this product and can vouch for its effectiveness in removing water-resistant sunscreen and makeup. It is fragrance-free, rinses off easily, and emulsifies well with a little bit of water. I recommend following up with a mild cleanser to ensure that all impurities are removed from the skin.
Don’t Miss Out!
ULTRA’s 21 Days of Beauty Sale is a great opportunity to snag some amazing deals on skincare products. Whether you’re interested in trying out botanic-derived ingredients, exploring the benefits of sea buckthorn oil, or need a reliable makeup remover, now is the time to stock up on your favorite products. Don’t miss out on these fantastic discounts and enhance your skincare routine today!
The ULTA 21 Days of Beauty Sale Picks Not to Miss
When it comes to skincare products, I am always on the lookout for affordable alternatives. That’s why I don’t typically buy expensive items like the Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm, especially when there are so many Korean skincare options available. These days, Korean skincare has been dominating the cleansing balm market, and right now, I am using the elf cleansing balm.
The elf cleansing balm does have fragrance, unlike the Clinique balm, but surprisingly, it works just as well for me. I’m usually fine with fragrance in wash-off products, as long as it’s not overpowering. So, I don’t see the need to buy the Clinique cleansing balm when there are more affordable options that work just as effectively, like the elf one or any of the numerous Korean cleansing balms I’ve tried.
Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer: A Must-Try
A product that caught my attention and that I’m considering buying during the ULTA 21 Days of Beauty Sale is the It Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer. This concealer not only covers dark under-eye circles temporarily but also contains niacinamide, a fantastic ingredient for reducing redness and hyperpigmentation.
If you have discoloration under your eyes, the niacinamide in this concealer may be beneficial in improving the appearance of your under-eye area. Additionally, it contains magnesium and Scorpio phosphate, a stable form of vitamin C. These ingredients can brighten the skin and provide antioxidant benefits.
Overall, the ULTA 21 Days of Beauty Sale offers a range of exciting beauty products and discounts. Whether you’re looking for affordable cleansing balms or a concealer with added skincare benefits, it’s worth checking out the sale to find your must-have items. Remember, the sale only lasts for 21 days, so don’t miss out on these fantastic deals!

Antioxidant Potential and Collagen Boost
When it comes to skincare, we are always on the lookout for products that can truly penetrate the skin and deliver the promised benefits. One such product in the ULTA 21 Days of Beauty sale caught my attention – a formula that boasts of antioxidant properties and claims to combat oxidative stress. While this may indeed help strengthen the skin barrier, its effectiveness in boosting collagen is still a mystery due to lack of research in that regard.
Petrolatum for Water Loss Reduction
Another intriguing ingredient in this product is petrolatum, which is known for its ability to reduce water loss from the skin. Moreover, its waterproof nature ensures that the product stays on the skin, making it ideal for humid conditions. Considering the current weather conditions, I am tempted to give this product a try. However, the only dilemma I face is choosing the right shade from its extensive range. If any of you have already tried this product, I would appreciate your comments and experiences.
Limited Options for Skincare
This year’s ULTA 21 Days of Beauty sale seems to be lacking in options for skincare enthusiasts. However, I would like to draw your attention to a few items that I believe deserve consideration, especially when it comes to their ingredients. As a dermatologist, I always emphasize the importance of understanding the components of our skincare products.
Other Skincare Brands at Ulta
If you are an Ulta shopper, you may already be familiar with a skincare brand called “The Ordinary.” Although none of their products are included in this sale, I highly recommend checking out their range. A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to review some of their new skincare products, which I found to be promising. Ulta offers a convenient platform to explore and purchase these products, adding to the variety of options available to skincare enthusiasts.
