Introduction
The world of drugstore makeup is constantly evolving, and with each passing year, we are blessed with a plethora of new and exciting products. Today, we will be taking a closer look at some of the latest additions to the drugstore makeup scene in 2024. From l.f camo liquid blushes to E.L.F lash extenders, there are so many amazing options to explore. So without further ado, let’s dive right in!
Covergirl Essence Skin Tint
One product that has been generating quite the buzz on the internet is the Covergirl Essence Skin Tint. Upon first glance, I assumed it was simply a light foundation with minimal coverage. However, after conducting some research, I discovered that this product can be worn alone or used as a skin perfecting primer with your favorite foundation. This revelation piqued my curiosity, and I am excited to try it out in its pure form. Of course, I also have another drugstore foundation in mind that I’d like to experiment with, so perhaps we can mix and match to create the perfect combination.
The Star of the Show
In my opinion, the true star of the show is the Covergirl Essence Skin Tint. I am eagerly awaiting the moment when I can finally try it out. I have two shades available – 20 and 30 – and after careful consideration, I have decided to go with shade 30. Both shades would work well, but I believe 30 will be a closer match to my skin tone. Sometimes, it’s better to err on the side of being slightly darker rather than too light.
A Vegan Skincare Makeup Hybrid
Before we proceed, let’s take a moment to discuss the unique characteristics of the Covergirl Essence Skin Tint. This product is not only a makeup item but also a skincare hybrid. It boasts vegan ingredients and contains 5% bakuchiol, which is known for its skin-enhancing properties. It’s fascinating to see how the world of makeup is merging with skincare, offering us the best of both worlds.
E.L.F Lash Extender and More
Apart from the Covergirl Essence Skin Tint, there are a few other products that have caught my eye. One of them is the E.L.F Lash Extender, which promises to give your lashes a dramatic boost. Mascara is always a staple in my makeup collection, so I am eager to see how this one performs. Additionally, there are a couple of liquid blushes from l.f camo that I’m excited to try out. Blush instantly adds a healthy glow to the cheeks, and I can’t wait to see if these drugstore options can compare to their high-end counterparts.
Introducing the New Drugstore Makeup of 2024
Did I say that right um, which is a plant Blaze, its a retinol alternative, but its better for sensitive skin, and it says it plumps the skin reduces appearance of fine lines and wrinkles increases Skins firmness.
The Burst of Pigment Capsules
The whole idea is that these little pigment capsules in there will burst, and that is where the pigment comes in. I was trying it on my hand and Im going to use a brush. You can use your fingers or a brush sponge really wouldn’t work with this. Just because of the way it is is but look at the way, it looks all right. So this is the way it looks when it comes out, and then you kind of burst, dim, capsules and interesting.
A Potential Dior Dupe?
I know some people have talked about like. Is it a dupe for the is it Dior makes a similar product? I have not tried the Dior one, so I do not know lets. Try it on this side. First Im just going to I dont, really know how much to put on like. Is that too much I dont know oh wow, so Ive had like the past few days like this little bit of redness on my cheeks, almost like rosiness Im, trying to think if there was something I use that caused some sensitivity, because it definitely feels ever so Slightly like when Ive washed, my face with my normal face wash Ive used for years, it felt like it slightly burned so Im like what did I use lately so going have to pay attention um?
The Before and After
Okay, so without you can see more my redness and with go okay, its actually really pretty.
Trying Out the New Drugstore Foundation
So it is obviously not going to be the coverage that you might expect from a foundation Foundation because that’s not what this is. But looking at the difference, I am going to be honest. My expectations, even just playing with it on my hand today, were very low. I was like I’m not going to like this.
Pleasant Surprises
I don’t usually, but I mean I’m showing it to you just exactly as it is, and that is looking real nice like thinking about an everyday product. I have definitely lately been doing a lot more, throwing on 5 minute makeup without any eye makeup. Just like a little bit on the skin a little bit of concealer, maybe something in the Brows.
The Perfect Brush
I definitely think a brush is the way to go this one here. I think I have a coupon code, for I love this line, the BK Beauty. This is the 101 I like that it’s kind of slanted, but it’s really soft. This is perfect for this. Oh my gosh, all right, I don’t have a real mirror I’m just using, I mean I guess it is a real mirror, but trying to see if it like this is looking really pretty. Lets keep going so yeah if you’re near my skin tone.
Finding the Right Shade
I think 30 is the move. I think 20 would be just a little bit too light ooh a little on the nose. The nose is what’s going to really tell the whole story cuz.
Dupe Alert!
Now it’s time to talk about the dupes! With so many options available in the drugstore makeup aisle, finding affordable alternatives to high-end products is always exciting. And let me tell you, I’ve found quite a few dupes while trying out this new foundation. It’s incredible how these drugstore brands have managed to create similar products that deliver almost identical results. From the packaging to the formula, everything about these dupes screams luxury.
Affordable Beauty
If you’re on a budget but still want to achieve a flawless makeup look, these dupes are definitely worth considering. Not only do they offer great coverage and a long-lasting finish, but they also won’t break the bank. You can look stunning without having to spend a fortune on high-end makeup products.
The Power of Dupes
Whether you’re a makeup enthusiast or just someone who loves experimenting with different looks, dupes can be a game-changer. They give you the opportunity to try out new trends and styles without having to splurge on expensive products. Plus, you can always switch things up and discover your own unique makeup routine.
First Impressions: Surprised and Ecstatic
My nose is always a little bit red and a little bit dry, but to my surprise, this new drugstore makeup product provides some coverage up there. I did not think I would like this product at all, but I am ecstatic about how easy it was to apply and how pretty it looks on the skin. I am reeling in my mind right now, feeling so excited about this. I wish you were here at the dance party happening in my head.
No Need for Additional Foundation
I am so surprised by how much I like this product that I don’t feel the need to put another foundation on top. The way my skin looks with just this makeup is so beautiful that I think if I just took the 45 seconds to apply this every morning and wore no other makeup, I would be completely content with how my skin looks.
Limited Longevity
Oh my gosh, I am so in love with this product, but I have to be realistic. I assume it won’t last and look perfect by hour 12 of the day. However, if you’re going for a low-key makeup look, this product could be a great option. I will update you on how it wears and looks at the end of the day in the wear notes down below.
Let’s Dive In: Concealer
Now, let me throw on a little bit of concealer. Unfortunately, I don’t have a new concealer to try, which seems crazy. I’m racking my brain trying to remember if there have been any new launches recently.
Trying Out the New Drugstore Concealer and Brows
My most recent drugstore makeup video, like this Ill link below it was a few weeks ago, and I know I tried the LOreal new concealer. So if youre curious about that, I will link that video below you can watch that next Shameless plug. So Im going to do concealer and brows real fast Ill, be right back, so I will link anything else I used below. I threw on the Charlotte Tilbury corrector. The essence make me brow on my brows and then I just tried out for the first time the milk makeup Infinity longwear liner. I think this might be blue. I didnt really realize but Im like whatever um it is.
A Surprising Feature of the Milk Makeup Infinity Longwear Liner
I will say I know this is a drugstore Focus video, but I will say this has oh okay, the shaper, but it has this spongy tip and it made really quick work of just blending it in a little bit, so that was kind of cool um anyway.
Excitement Over the e.l.f Lash Extender Mascara
So the other thing I have been so excited to try the e.l.f Lash extender mascara. So this is supposed to be a tubing mascara, which I know most of you guys, probably know what that is, but in case you dont its a mascara that comes off very easily with warm water has to be warm, not cold will not work, and it usually Comes off like in Little tubes I dont usually see the tubes. Usually it just looks like little mascara flakes like if you think about it that way, but the beauty is, it comes off really easily with warm water.
So Many Amazing Dupes Discovered!
Now, moving on to the most exciting part – the dupes I found! The drugstore makeup industry has really stepped up its game in 2024. There are so many incredible dupes available now that can give you the high-end look without breaking the bank.
Foundation Dupes for High-End Brands
Let’s start with foundation. I tried the new drugstore foundation from Revlon, and let me tell you, it is a spot-on dupe for the infamous Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r foundation. The coverage is buildable, the finish is flawless, and it stays in place all day.
Eyeshadow Palette Dupes
Next, I dabbled with some eyeshadow palettes. The drugstore has really nailed it with their eyeshadow dupes. I tried the new palette from Maybelline that is almost identical to the Urban Decay Naked Heat palette. The shades are richly pigmented, blend like a dream, and create stunning warm-toned eye looks.
Lipstick Dupes for High-End Brands
On to the lips! I was blown away by the lipsticks I found at the drugstore. One in particular caught my attention – a dupe for the iconic MAC Ruby Woo lipstick. This drugstore gem from NYX has the same vibrant red shade, matte finish, and long-lasting formula. It’s a must-have for any lipstick lover!

Mascaras: Tubing vs. Traditional
You don’t have to scrub, but the other nice thing about a tubing mascara is usually it wears really well, you’re not going to get smudging, you’re not going to get flaking with it just because of the very different formula that it has. So this even has a similar color as the uh Thrive Cosmetics one. I really like that one, it’s been a few years since I’ve tried it, but I know out of the tubing mascaras, that is like number one for me too.
A Side by Side Comparison
So if you’d be interested in seeing a side by side, let me know. I could possibly repurchase that mascara because I do miss it. It’s got a silicone-like wand, so we’re just going to dive in. This is one of those products, most good tubing mascaras. You can’t really go back in, like you just get the job done. You might go in quickly after, but then it dries so you’re not going to be building and building for a long time like you can with more of a traditional mascara.
Enhancing Your Lashes
So I usually would kind of let it sit there for a sec, and I’m going to go back in a little bit now that it’s drying a little bit. You can really get it at the base and push the lashes up, which I love. That looks really nice, right? Like I feel like everything looks separated. It just looks really, really good. Let’s try the other side.
Elf Mascaras: Hit or Miss
I feel like elf mascaras for me have been very hit or miss.
The New Drugstore Makeup in 2024: So Many Dupes!
A Mixed Bag of Likes and Dislikes
I can’t help but have mixed feelings about the new drugstore makeup releases in 2024. One moment, I find myself really liking a certain product, while in another moment, I really, really don’t. For instance, their “Lash it Loud” mascara won my heart with its volumizing effect. On the other hand, their “Roller Lash” mascara also impressed me. It’s perfect for those who prefer a lowkey, fluttery lash look that’s not overly volumized. It’s undeniably pretty and works wonders.
From Dollar Makeup to Dupes
The trajectory of this makeup brand has been quite intriguing. When they first emerged, their gimmick was dollar makeup, and surprisingly, some of it was actually quite decent. However, they’ve now introduced their 3-line collection, resulting in varying prices. But their latest gimmick is the most interesting of all they are shamelessly duplicating everything in sight. They use the exact same colors and try to replicate higher-end products. While it may seem like a smart business model and a way to offer affordable alternatives, it raises an important question: is it fair?
An Ethics Dilemma
The topic of copying other brands’ products is indeed fascinating. It sparks a debate on the level playing field and originality. On one hand, it’s great for those who can’t afford the higher-end options to have access to similar products. It allows them to experiment and try things they otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford. On the other hand, it raises concerns about creativity, innovation, and the efforts that go into developing new products.
A Mind Full of Thoughts
These are thought-provoking questions, and I find myself contemplating them often. Should we applaud the brand for making products accessible to a wider audience, or should we be concerned about the lack of originality? I don’t want to start a heated debate; rather, I simply wanted to share my thoughts. My goal for 2024 is to be more open about expressing what’s on my mind without worrying too much about what others might think. And this topic, without a doubt, occupies a significant space in my mind.
New Drugstore Mascara: A Promising Start
The perfect way, in case someone misconstrues it, I’m trying to be more real. So, normal me would have cut that out. Okay, so I mean this looks nice. The first thing I notice is that it’s not as volumizing as the Thrive Cosmetics mascara, but that’s not surprising considering it’s been a while since I’ve tried that. I have a feeling that in a week or two, when this mascara dries out a bit more, it will give even more volume. But for now, I’m really liking it. It definitely has potential and I think I’ll like it even more as time goes on. The curl is on point and overall, it gives a nice look. One thing to note about tubing mascaras is that they become dry quickly.
E.L Camo Liquid Blushes: Affordable Dupes
Next up, let’s talk about the E.L Camo liquid blushes. I got two shades: Dusty Rose and Suave Mauve. Initially, I thought these would be dupes for the rare Beauty blushes, but it turns out they are quite affordable. The rare Beauty blushes retail for $23, whereas these E.L Camo blushes are only around $10. So, it’s not really a dupe in terms of price, but that’s okay. Let’s swatch these shades and see how they perform.
Dusty Rose and Suave Mauve: Pigmentation Galore
I start with Suave Mauve. Just a small amount goes a long way, and it is highly pigmented, similar to the rare Beauty blushes. The color payoff is impressive, and it blends seamlessly. The formulation feels lightweight on the skin, and it gives a beautiful flush to my cheeks. This is definitely a winner.
Now, onto Dusty Rose. Again, the pigmentation is on another level. A tiny dot of product is all it takes to achieve a natural-looking flush. It has a slightly cooler undertone compared to Suave Mauve, which makes it perfect for creating a softer, romantic look. I’m really impressed with these shades.
: Affordable Options with Impressive Quality
If you’re looking for affordable alternatives to the rare Beauty liquid blushes, the E.L Camo blushes are definitely worth considering. While they may not be exact dupes in terms of price, the quality and pigmentation of these blushes are truly exceptional. They give a beautiful, long-lasting flush to the cheeks, and a little goes a long way. If you want to experiment with different shades without breaking the bank, give the E.L Camo blushes a try. You won’t be disappointed!
Trying Out the New Drugstore Makeup
When it comes to drugstore makeup, finding affordable options that perform just as well as high-end products can be quite a challenge. So, when I heard about the new drugstore makeup releases for 2024, I was excited to try them out and see if there were any dupes for my favorite high-end products.
The Rare Beauty Comparison
First up, I decided to test the new drugstore cream blushes and compare them to the ones from Rare Beauty. I noticed that the Rare Beauty blushes had a little bit more transparency to them, making them easier to blend out. So, I was curious to see how the drugstore options would perform in terms of blending.
I will be planning a future video in which I compare these drugstore options to the Rare Beauty ones. But for now, let’s dive into the testing and see how they fare.
The Application Dilemma
As I opened the packaging and prepared to apply the drugstore cream blush, I realized that I didn’t have my favorite cream blush brush with me. It was a moment of panic, and I immediately regretted not bringing another one along.
But, since I was determined to try out the product, I decided to go with plan B using my fingers. It was a bit nerve-wracking as I had never used cream blushes with my fingers before, but I thought, why not give it a try?
The First Impression
As I swiped the drugstore cream blush onto my cheeks, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of nervousness. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the results. The cream blush blended in easily and gave my cheeks a natural, flushed look.
To fully test the blending capabilities, I decided to try the blush with a brush as well. I managed to find a brush that seemed suitable and gave it a go. The brush definitely made it easier to spread the product and achieve a more seamless blend.
What amazed me was how the cream blush sat nicely on top of my foundation. I had expected it to disrupt the foundation and make it move around, but it stayed put and looked beautiful. By gently tapping the product in with the brush, I was able to create a natural look that didn’t overpower the rest of my makeup.
The Final Thoughts
Throughout my testing, I realized that the new drugstore cream blushes had impressive blending capabilities, similar to the ones from Rare Beauty. While they may not be exact dupes, they definitely offer a more affordable alternative.
I’m excited to continue testing out these new drugstore makeup releases and see if there are any other hidden gems that can rival their high-end counterparts. Stay tuned for my upcoming video where I put these products to the ultimate dupe test.
In the end, it’s great to see how the drugstore makeup industry is evolving and providing consumers with more options at affordable prices. So, if you’re on a budget but still want to achieve a flawless makeup look, don’t hesitate to give these new drugstore makeup products a try. Who knows, you might just find your new holy grail!
The Rare Beauty Peach Shade
The same goes for the rare Beauty, so I will try the peach one. Next, I have a feeling out of the two Ill, probably wear the peach one, the most cuz. It seems just a little bit lighter, a little closer to my skin tone, but the mauve one with one dot was easily usable and I feel like it looks nice its not. I cant tell if these are glowy or if its that Covergirl, but it looks nice.
Physicians Formula Butter Glow Bronzer and Blush
I think this is so exciting, so the other thing I got was the new Physicians Formula, butter, glow, bronzer and blush, so its a bronzer blush and honestly it looks like highlight, is in their Radiance boosting glow. This is is in the shade, healthy glow. I don’t know if they have more than one shade or not. I only see the one shade on here, so maybe they do only have one shade.
Beloved Butter Blush in Pink Sands
But one product I love and I’ve Loved for a while is this one here, their butter believe it blush. Um in Pink Sands, that is a top favorite blush at the drugstore period, so I tend to like their cheek products like this: its got the classic kind of larger packaging and then a very strong scent so just be aware. Look how pretty that looks! Ooh so I’m going to mix it all together, it definitely comes off more bronze than it does blushy. Well, I would say more peachy wouldn’t you and obviously you can kind of.
First Impressions
When it comes to makeup, trying out new products is always an exciting journey. Today, I am delving into the world of drugstore makeup in 2024, and let me tell you, there are so many dupes available that it’s hard to resist!
Exploring the Blush Side
If you’re a fan of blushes, prepare to be wowed. The options are endless, and the shades range from subtle pinks to vibrant corals. I decide to go for a lighter color, leaning towards a more highlighter-like effect. The blush blends effortlessly, leaving me with a beautiful flush of color on my cheeks.
Embracing the Bronzer
However, today is all about the bronzer, and I am eager to see what drugstore offerings have in store for me. I gravitate towards a bronzy shade, avoiding the blush side altogether. As I apply it, I notice that it has a hint of warmth, which is perfect for achieving that sun-kissed glow. It may not be the exact shade I prefer, but it still works surprisingly well as a standalone bronzer.
A Hint of Orange
One thing to keep in mind with this bronzer is that it does have a touch of orange due to its blushy undertones. While it may not be my personal preference, I can’t deny that it still looks quite good. The warmth adds a unique twist to the traditional bronzing effect. As I continue applying it, I find that a little goes a long way in achieving a natural, healthy-looking complexion.
All Over Cheek Glow
As I step back and observe the overall effect, I realize that this bronzer would be perfect for a spring or summer look. It has that bronzy tint combined with the blush undertones, creating a beautiful all-over cheek glow. This is the kind of product you can just swipe on without worrying about precise placement. It effortlessly adds radiance to your face and would be ideal for vacations or casual, sunny days.
Trying out new drugstore makeup in 2024 has definitely been a journey filled with surprises. The abundance of dupes and versatile products allows you to experiment and find your perfect match. Whether you prefer a blush or bronzer, the options are there, waiting to enhance your natural beauty. So why wait? Go ahead and explore the world of drugstore makeup in 2024 you won’t be disappointed!
Physician Formula Formula
I think swiping it on. I think that would be really pretty so I think there’s a place for this, but I don’t know that everyone needs it, but it I think it is really pretty. You know it is what it is, but I do think if you’re looking for a powder, bronzer, blush, etc., I really do like the Physician Formula Formula.
Brown Lash Princess Mascara
The other thing I got, but we can’t really try on today – is the brown Lash Princess Mascara. Perhaps I will try this in an Instagram real soon. It might already be up by the time you’re seeing this, if it is, my Instagram is @itsjessicabrun. But I usually also post that here on YouTube shorts. So if I have the YouTube short, I can link it below um, but I will try that in a video just so you all can see it CU. I have been very curious. I love the Lash Princess Mascara and I’m into Brown mascara, so we will give it a whirl.
Quick Overview of My Quick Thoughts
But yeah so let’s kind of do a quick overview of my quick thoughts. But again I will have my wear notes down in the description box if you’re curious how this all looked at the end of the night, but I think the one thing I’m the most excited about hands down is this. I cannot believe how much I liked the Covergirl Essence, so so beautiful on the skin, like just wow.
Trying out new drugstore makeup in 2024 has been an interesting experience. The Physician Formula Formula provided a pretty look, especially when swiped on. It may not be a necessity for everyone, but it does have its place. On the other hand, the brown Lash Princess Mascara remains untested for now, but it holds promise for brown mascara enthusiasts like myself. Overall, the highlight of this try-on session has been the Covergirl Essence. Its stunning effect on the skin left me amazed and impressed. If you’re looking for affordable and high-performing makeup, give these products a try.
