Gwen’s Favorite Low Tox Makeup Products
My name is Gwen for those of you who are new here, as promised Im going to be going over my favorite low tox makeup products. Makeup is something that I think a lot of people, especially if you clicked on this video youre interested in and its something that you probably wear pretty regularly as a stay at home mom.
Importance of Clean Ingredients
I still try to put on a tinted sunscreen a little bit of concealer not every day but pretty much a couple days out of the week. So since it is something that we wear pretty regularly, you want to make sure that you are using cleenish ingredients.
Using the EWG Scale
So really quick, a lot of people have their own opinions on what they would clarify as clean or low talks or non talks. So in this video I am going to be basing a lot of my products off of the ewg scale, which is called the environmental working group site.
Understanding the EWG Rating System
I normally type in my products that Im going to either purchase or products that I already have, and I see if its up there now, if its in there, it normally ranks the products from being like a zero to a 10 zero being more clean and tend Being less clean, some of the products that I do have they dont necessarily have the products up there.
Checking Ingredients on EWG Site
But the good thing about this site is that you can enter in the active ingredients and even all the other ingredients, and you can see the same ranking for those ingredients.
Exploring Clean Beauty Makeup Brands
When searching for non-toxic makeup products, it is essential to delve deeper into the ingredients list. By researching each component, you can determine which brands offer clean beauty options.
Personal Journey to Clean Beauty
For individuals like myself who prioritize using safe products, the journey to clean beauty often begins with a desire for a healthier lifestyle. My own experience with trying to conceive led me to scrutinize the ingredients in my makeup products.
Avoiding Harmful Ingredients
Talc, a common ingredient in many makeup items, has been linked to potential health risks. By eliminating talc from my beauty routine, I discovered the harmful effects of certain chemicals and substances present in mainstream beauty products.
Seeking Endocrine-Friendly Options
As I navigated the world of clean beauty, I learned about endocrine disruptors and the importance of avoiding such harmful substances. By opting for makeup brands that prioritize safe and natural ingredients, I can protect my health and well-being.
Transitioning to Clean Beauty
While the transition to clean beauty may seem daunting, it is a worthwhile endeavor for those seeking a healthier lifestyle. By gradually replacing conventional products with non-toxic alternatives, you can create a makeup collection that is both safe and effective.
Non Toxic Makeup Haul and Review
As I delved deeper into the world of beauty products, I discovered the significant impact they can have on fertility rates. Many ingredients found in makeup, body care, and self-care products can actually be harmful to our health and reproductive systems. This realization was reinforced when a former formulator from a renowned cosmetic brand reached out to me, revealing that the cosmetic industry is potentially destroying women’s cells. In fact, he went as far as to say that the issue could be even bigger than the tobacco industry, with skincare, hair products, and feminine care items being linked to reproductive problems.
The Importance of Clean Beauty
Some individuals may underestimate the potential harm of using conventional beauty products, but the impact can be significant. I personally know people who have struggled with fertility issues, and eliminating toxic ingredients from our routines could be a simple step towards improving our overall health. While it’s not a guaranteed solution to fertility problems, making cleaner choices in our beauty products can certainly be a positive change.
My Favorite Clean Beauty Makeup Brands
One of the major changes I’ve made in my beauty routine is opting out of wearing foundation. However, for those who prefer full coverage options, I have discovered some cleaner alternatives that I can recommend.
These brands prioritize non-toxic ingredients and offer a range of makeup products to suit different preferences. By choosing clean beauty brands, we can support our health and well-being while still enjoying quality makeup.
Overall, the switch to clean beauty products has been a rewarding journey for me, and I hope to inspire others to make more conscious choices when it comes to their makeup and skincare routines. Together, we can strive for a healthier and more sustainable beauty industry.
Makeup Brands Recommendations
The few brands that I do recommend if you guys want to wear Foundation its going to be RMS Beauty Foundation. I am in the shade 44 and RMS is a really clean brand that I can appreciate.
RMS Beauty Foundation
This is one of the foundations, thicker foundations that I use. If I want a super full Flawless coverage following that RMS Foundation, I love my crunchy Foundation. Now this one, I can only wear in the summer, because this is super tan. So I do like to wear this in the summer, because in the summer I like to soak up all the vitamin D.
Kosas Foundation
Following that RMS Foundation, I love my crunchy Foundation. Now this one I can only wear in the summer, because this is super tan. So I do like to wear this in the summer, because in the summer I like to soak up all the vitamin D.
Ilia Foundation
The other two some people may have their own opinion about these two Brands, they’re more of Main stream clean Brands, and I decided hm. Let me get their Foundation see what its about this one is: kosas: okay, kosas! I am in the shade 290 in the summer and then 270 in the winter.
Hyaluronic Acid and Other Ingredients
This one says that it has hyaluronic acid, peptide sine provitamin, B5 arnica caffeine, which caffeine is really good for under the eye. If you guys have dark circles, or you want to brighten your under eye a coffee and honey scrub right there right before you put on your makeup, a does wonders I live by it. This one is really good. I do like it, but I get irritation from this, so I am not a huge fan.
Thus, these three clean beauty makeup brands are some of my favorite non-toxic options for makeup.
Favorite Non-Toxic Makeup Brands
This one also has niacinamide which is great for the skin. The shade 8.75 Crest is almost a perfect match for me. I love the shade match on this.
Tinted Moisturizers & Sunscreens
My skin has never looked better thanks to tinted moisturizers and sunscreens. My top three favorites are the CGR 5 in 1 Tinted Moisturizer, tower 28 tinted sunscreen, and Silver Lake in the tower 28.
The CGR Tinted Moisturizer in medium is the darkest shade, which is a bit disappointing. However, it does not use titanium dioxide and has amazing ingredients that make my skin look better every time I use it.
The tower 28 tinted sunscreen in Silver Lake is another favorite of mine. Despite its messy application, it provides great coverage and protection for my skin.
Foundation Picks
They do have a broader range, and this one, along with the Ilia that I was telling you guys. These are my perfect shade. Literally, I have such a weird shade, like I dont know what it is, but normally, when I get foundations it either pulls to orange or it pulls to pink or it looks ashy like I can never get the undertone right, but this one does the perfect job at my undertones. I’m actually wearing it right now. This one is amazing and then the last one is going to be the SE um Tinted Moisturizer. I got the shade 5 and 12. Now. This is not a perfect shade. For me, this one pulls a little bit red. I wish I had a little little bit of golden golden tones in it, but I got this because I wanted something to swap this one out, because again I was like eh don’t really like the fact that it doesn’t have a big shade range. So I wanted to try this one. I do like this one, but genuinely something about. It is very oily on my skin um in particular, you guys skin. It may be a little bit different, but that one for me it is very oily. So I’m not crazy about it, but I do like it and I’m hoping that I can find something that totally swaps my sun, integrity’s um, Tinted Moisturizer, okay.
Concealer Choices
So moving on to concealers the under-eye the brightening aspect I have a few faves and like I did With the others we’re going to go from my favorite to least favorite the hint Beauty concealer. I’ve used it so much I’ve hit pan on it.
Concealers
This one, I absolutely love. I am in the shade DC 3.5, medium tan. Say concealers, so say concealers. I absolutely love this one. The Hydra beam concealer in the shade HB3. Then, we have the slip tint concealer in the shade 11. This one is so liquidy, it creases a lot on me. It actually pulls a little bit pink peachy, which helps correct darkness undertones.
Last but not least, the Kosas concealer. I love the creamy texture and beautiful shade range. If you’re looking for a good concealer, this one is worth trying.
Bronzers
Bronzer is one of my favorite makeup products. For bronzers, I have this all-natural cream concealer in the shade Walnut. It gives a natural, sun-kissed glow without any harsh chemicals.
Neutral Shade Bronzer
I like this because of the color its more of a neutral. The bronzer is smooth on the skin and perfect for a natural look. The warm tone is great for summer, but I prefer a more neutral color for everyday wear.
Medium vs. Tan Bronzer
I tried the medium shade but found the undertone too warm for my liking. I ended up getting the tan bronze one, which suits my skin tone better. Finding the right shade is crucial for a natural look.
All Natural Concealer
Nothing beats my all natural concealer. It blends seamlessly into my skin and provides the perfect coverage. I love wearing it, especially in the summer, as it gives a warm and natural look.
Under Eye Powder Dilemma
I don’t always use an under eye powder, but when I do, I want it to be the best. I have been using the kosa cloud set cushiony, but I’m still on the lookout for the perfect under eye powder to complete my makeup routine.
Non Toxic Makeup Haul & Review
When it comes to makeup, clean beauty is the way to go. Non-toxic makeup brands are becoming increasingly popular, and for good reason. Not only are they better for your skin, but they are also better for the environment. In this article, we will delve into some of my favorite non-toxic makeup products.
Foundation
I recently tried the shade “cushy” from a non-toxic makeup brand. While I do like it, I’m not a huge fan of powder foundations. However, I would still wear it when I need my makeup to last all day.
Blushes
Blushes are a makeup staple, and I have quite a few in my collection. Two of my favorites are from Gabriel Cosmetics, in the shades “Rose” and “Vibrant Pink.” I absolutely love the Gabriel blushes for their amazing quality. When it comes to liquid blushes, though, I haven’t found my groove yet. I tried a couple of SE blushes that had a lot of hype around them, but I personally prefer powder blushes for their consistency and color payoff.
Glow Sculpt
After trying the SE liquid blushes, I wanted to give the Say: Glow Sculpt a go. I picked up the shade “Peach Glow,” and I found it to be a lot better for me. The consistency is perfect, and it gives me a beautiful peachy, orangey, pinkish hue that I love.
Mascara
When it comes to mascara, I haven’t experimented with many different brands yet. Mascara is a must-have in any makeup routine, and finding a non-toxic option is essential. I can’t wait to try out more clean beauty mascaras in the future.
Well People Mascara – Brown
I only have one that’s considered like a lower tox, and that is the Well People mascara. I am in the shade Brown. If you guys don’t know, I talk about it before how I used to get eyelash extensions, and I would always get black lash extensions and they were so harsh on me. Ever since I found out about using Brown versus black in mascara, it has completely changed the game for me. However, I personally prefer more of a no mascara kind of look on me. I don’t know why, I think it’s because I personally prefer a lower, contrasted look on me. Normally, when you do your brows, you do your mascara, you put on a little color when you’re adding color to the face. It adds contrast and that’s why I prefer no mascara. When I do use one, it’s going to be this one in the shade Brown.
Gabriel Cosmetic Lip Liners
For lip liners, I use Gabriel cosmetic liners. They remind me of my NYX liners, which I have not completely done away with. Gabriel Cosmetics does a good job at mimicking that. I just wish the shade range was a little bit bigger.
Ere Perez Beetroot Cheek and Lip Tint – Fun
Moving on to lips now. Now for lips, I have actually moved away from lipstick and I’ve kind of been into lip stains a lot lately. My favorite lip stain is by Ere Perez. This one is in the shade Fun, and this is a beetroot cheek and lip tint.
Lip Products Review
Now I would not use this on my cheek because literally like, unless I was rubbing it on my fingers, because it is so intense, like I literally have to use very little thats all that I use literally one dot and you have color to your lips. If Im looking for something a little bit more of a lip oil, I have this kosa lip oil. This one is unbuttoned and its a little bit too dark for my liking. I got it for my birthday um and I said H. This is cute because I do have other lip oils that are not considered low tox, but kosas is considered a lower tox brand, so Ill. Try it out um, not a huge fan, because I dont necessarily like that gloss. Look personally for a everyday kind of look. I dont prefer gloss um, but if youre someone who you absolutely like gloss, you love your lip oils. Kosas is a good lot, tox brand, so thats pretty much it for my products.
Further Brands to Explore
There are a few other brands like 100 pure um theres, another brand. It starts with an A Ill link it here. If I can think about it. Those are two brands that Im actually want to try out, because I hear that they are even lower talks than these Brands um. So if I try that out in the future Ill be sure to come back and let you guys know what I think.

Non Toxic Makeup Brands
When it comes to makeup, many people are becoming more conscious of the ingredients used in their beauty products. Non-toxic makeup brands are becoming increasingly popular, as consumers seek out products that are free from harmful chemicals and additives. These brands focus on using natural, organic, and cruelty-free ingredients to create safe and effective cosmetics.
Clean Beauty Makeup Haul
One of my favorite non-toxic makeup brands is Beautycounter. Beautycounter is dedicated to providing high-quality, safe beauty products that perform just as well as conventional cosmetics. Their range of makeup includes everything from foundation and concealer to mascara and lipstick, all made with clean ingredients that are free from harmful chemicals.
Another clean beauty brand that I love is Ilia Beauty. Ilia Beauty offers a wide range of makeup products that are formulated with organic ingredients and free from parabens, phthalates, and synthetic fragrances. Their products not only look beautiful on the skin but also feel good knowing that they are safe to use.
Review of Clean Beauty Makeup
After trying out various non-toxic makeup brands, I can confidently say that clean beauty products can rival traditional cosmetics in terms of performance and longevity. The foundation from Beautycounter provides great coverage without feeling heavy or clogging pores, while the lipsticks from Ilia Beauty offer bold color payoff without drying out the lips.
In addition to Beautycounter and Ilia Beauty, other clean beauty brands that I recommend include RMS Beauty, W3LL People, and Kosas. These brands have garnered a loyal following for their commitment to using safe and sustainable ingredients in their products, making them a favorite among those who prioritize clean beauty.
Overall, investing in non-toxic makeup brands is not only better for your health but also for the environment.
