Batiste Dry Shampoo
I have emptied two bottles of Batiste dry shampoo, and I must say, I quite enjoyed the blush scent. I used to be all about the tropical scent, but the blush scent was a pleasant change. However, I must admit that all the Batiste dry shampoos are pretty much the same. They all serve their purpose well, and I can confidently say that Batiste is my favorite brand when it comes to dry shampoo. I go through bottles and bottles of it because it works wonders in absorbing oil and refreshing my hair.
Lee Stafford Scalp Love
Another product I used up is the Lee Stafford Scalp Love thickening dry shampoo. I mentioned this product in my favorites because it truly surprised me. It claims to be gentle, oil-absorbing, and thickening, with the added benefit of hyaluronic acid to refresh and calm the scalp. While I can’t speak for the scalp-refreshing and calming properties, I did find that it effectively absorbed oil without causing dryness or scalp irritation. For those who struggle with adverse reactions from using dry shampoos, such as redness and itchiness, this could be a good option to try.
Other Empties
Moving on to the rest of the empties in my basket, I have quite a few other beauty products that I finished up. Unfortunately, I don’t have enough time to go into detail about each one, but I’ll briefly mention some notable mentions.
Skincare Products
In terms of skincare, I finished up a moisturizer that worked well for me. It kept my skin hydrated without feeling greasy, and I would consider repurchasing it in the future. Additionally, I ran out of my favorite facial cleanser, which has been a staple in my routine for a while now. It effectively removed dirt and makeup without stripping my skin of its natural oils.
Makeup Products
As for makeup, I used up a foundation that provided decent coverage and a natural finish. While it wasn’t the best foundation I’ve ever tried, it was a reliable option for everyday wear. I also finished a mascara that gave my lashes a voluminous look without clumping or smudging.
Haircare Products
Lastly, in the haircare department, I emptied a bottle of my go-to conditioner. It left my hair feeling soft and manageable, and I would definitely repurchase it. I also used up a hair oil that helped tame frizz and add shine to my locks.
Overall, December was a month of using up various beauty products. While some were standout favorites, others were simply reliable options. It’s always interesting to see which products I reach for repeatedly and would consider repurchasing. I look forward to trying out new products in the coming months and discovering more gems in the beauty world.
Dry Shampoo: A Good Option for Dry Scalps
If you’re someone who deals with dandruff regularly, maybe you have a dry scalp to begin with. In that case, a dry shampoo for sensitive scalps might actually be a good option for you. Personally, I didn’t see any benefits from using it. However, I noticed that it claims to be a thickening dry shampoo, and historically, I haven’t enjoyed those because they tend to leave a noticeable residue in my hair.
Recently, I used up the last bit of this dry shampoo, and to my surprise, it didn’t have that heavy feel. It was similar to Batiste and had a powdery texture. It effectively absorbed the oil from my roots without making my hair feel weighed down. I was able to achieve a slight boost at the roots without feeling like I had a ton of product in my hair. I could use it for a couple of days in a row without feeling a buildup of gunk. So, if this dry shampoo were cheaper than Batiste, I would definitely buy it again. Even if they were the same price, I would still consider purchasing it. That’s saying something.
Shea Moisture 10-in-1 Multi-Benefit Hair Mask
Another hair product I tried out was the Shea Moisture 10-in-1 Multi-Benefit Hair Mask. I decided to give it a go because my daughter raved about how good it was.
The Hair Mask: A Hidden Gem
She had one that was similar. She really liked it. I used it thought it was good as well I bought it was when it was on sale in uh Tesco.
I actually would pay full price for this. I think the hair mask was really nice. It made my hair um like soft, but not like weighed down and again Ive got oily hair, so it didnt make it feel like heavy.
Sometimes, when you use a treatment, it can have like an adverse effect. It can kind of end up feeling like its going to be nicer than next time. You wash it um that all washed out nicely it still kind of felt really lightweight, but it helped with the dryness of my ends.
When Id been heat styling it, I dont do a lot of heat styling, but when I do, I really go for it and the ends do feel a little bit frazzled by the time I rewash so tonight, when I wash my hair Im going to put on A pre treatment Ill put like oils through the ends, sometimes Ill put a hair mask on like through the length in the end and Ill sleep in it and then the next morning, Ill wash it out um.
But I do like to put like a really heavy oil through the ends and then, when I wash it Ill use a mask then, and I didnt have anything like any heaviness or any like you know, you know what Im talking about is the oiliness and its? The fine hair, its a struggle to find a balance of you want something thats going to make your hair Feel clean.
Another Favorite: The Cleansing Oil
The cleansing oil was a game-changer for me. I usually have trouble finding a cleanser that effectively removes all the makeup and impurities from my face, but this one did the job.
It gently melted away my stubborn mascara and left my skin feeling clean and refreshed. The best part is that it didn’t leave any residue or make my skin feel greasy.
I highly recommend this cleansing oil to anyone who struggles with removing makeup or wants a gentle yet effective cleanser.
The Holy Grail Moisturizer
I’ve tried countless moisturizers over the years, but this one has become my holy grail. It’s lightweight, yet incredibly hydrating.
It absorbs quickly into the skin and leaves it feeling plump and nourished. I’ve noticed a significant improvement in the overall texture and appearance of my skin since using this moisturizer.
Whether you have dry skin or just want a reliable daily moisturizer, I highly recommend giving this one a try.
The Eyeshadow Palette: A Disappointment
I had high hopes for this eyeshadow palette, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The colors looked beautiful in the pan, but they lacked pigmentation and didn’t blend well.
I found myself having to layer the shadows multiple times to achieve the desired intensity, which was quite frustrating. The lasting power was also not impressive, as the shadows creased and faded throughout the day.
Overall, I wouldn’t repurchase this eyeshadow palette
Shiny and Healthy Hair
You want something that’s going to make your hair feel shiny and look healthy. You crave that bounce and vibrancy in your locks. Well, let me tell you, I’ve found a product that delivers exactly that. I recently tried a hair product that left my hair feeling shiny and in good health. It gave me the bounce I desire, and I must say, it was nice.
Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Cleansing Pads
Now, let’s move on to skincare. I haven’t tried T Zone products in years, but recently I was sent a package with a variety of T Zone items, including their tea tree and witch hazel cleansing pads. I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised. These pads worked wonders on my skin, leaving it feeling refreshed and clean. They were a great addition to my skincare routine.
Pregnancy Cravings
Speaking of cravings, let’s talk about a strange one I had during my pregnancy. I found myself craving jars of pickles. Yes, you heard that right. I would sit at my desk, happily munching on pickles. It was a weird craving, but I embraced it. However, recently I’ve been contemplating the health implications of eating so many pickles. Is it bad to consume that much vinegar? Are there any negatives? I’m not sure, but the thought of having shelves filled with jars of pickle girkins still entices me.
The hair product I used in December left my hair feeling shiny and healthy, while the T Zone tea tree and witch hazel cleansing pads were a pleasant surprise for my skincare routine. As for my pickle cravings, well, I may need to do a bit more research on the health implications. But until then, I’ll keep enjoying the occasional jar of pickle girkins.
EMPTIES – Beauty Products I Used Up in December
In December, I went through a variety of beauty products that I had been using. Some of them I really enjoyed, while others left me perplexed. Let’s dive into my thoughts on these empties and whether I would repurchase them.
The Premium Bar Snacks of the Beauty World
As a child, I used to visit a seaside hotel with my grandparents, and they had the most unique bar snacks. Instead of the typical nuts and olives, they would serve little silver balls of bar snacks. It was a strange combination of mini cheddar and pickle girkins. I have never come across any other bar that offers such a unique selection. If I ever run my own bar, I would definitely consider serving these premium top-tier snacks.
A Strange Craving for Tea Tree Oil
One of my weird cravings is tea tree oil. I used to carry a bottle of it with me at all times and would sniff it like some kind of addict. There’s something strangely anesthetic about its scent. Whenever I smell tea tree oil, it takes me back to those moments of indulgence. Although this craving may be peculiar, I can’t deny the allure and unique scent of tea tree oil.
Beauty Products I Used Up – Would I Buy Again?
Now, let’s explore the beauty products I used up in December and whether they would make it onto my repurchase list.
1. Facial Cleanser
I tried out a new facial cleanser, and I have to say, it was a disappointment. The formula did not leave my skin feeling refreshed, and it had a strong chemical scent that was off-putting. I won’t be repurchasing this one.
2. Moisturizer
This moisturizer was a game-changer. It kept my skin hydrated and nourished throughout the day, and the lightweight formula absorbed quickly. I would definitely buy this one again.
3. Mascara
Unfortunately, this mascara did not meet my expectations. It clumped my lashes together and flaked throughout the day. I won’t be repurchasing this particular mascara.
4. Lipstick
This lipstick was a pleasant surprise. It had a creamy texture, applied smoothly, and lasted for hours without fading. I would definitely consider buying this shade again.
5. Hair Mask
The hair mask I used left my hair feeling luxurious and nourished. It repaired my dry ends and added a beautiful shine. I would certainly repurchase this hair mask.
Product 1: Tea Tree Oil Toner
I feel a bit of a numbness. I feel Im, probably giving too much away here. I feel like it kind of it almost makes me like woo like its like a high. Is this like glue S? I don’t know anyway, Ive got a couple left in the bottom of here. I was just going to show you what they look like in case you didn’t know, but because of the smell, I might just leave them in there. You know, I might just leave them in there for an occasional hit. They look like this they’re like a a little textured round um. I was using them to Once I’d like taken my makeup off. Do it as like a toner when my skin was breaking out.
Product 2: Breakout Calming Serum
I was just kind of like using it in my regular breakout areas before I do my serum and my moisturizer um, I don’t know if it did anything honestly, I don’t think it did anything to calm any of my breakouts that I had. I feel like I’m slurring my speech after a couple of hits of this: does anybody else get this from tea tree oil it like, if you could put that in a pill, hope would be a dangerous thing to be available for me theres. Something in that that is, I don’t know. I would love for somebody to tell me that its just not me, because that is a strange effect that it has on me um, but yeah.
Product 3: Moisturizing Lotion
Overall, I enjoyed using this moisturizing lotion. It had a lightweight texture and absorbed quickly into my skin. It provided adequate hydration without feeling heavy or greasy. However, I did feel like I needed to reapply it throughout the day, especially in drier areas of my face. The packaging was convenient and the pump dispenser made it easy to control the amount of product. Although I liked this moisturizer, I’m not sure if I would repurchase it as I didn’t notice any significant improvement in my skin’s overall texture or appearance.
Product 4: Facial Cleanser
This facial cleanser was gentle and non-irritating on my skin. It effectively removed dirt, oil, and makeup without leaving my skin feeling tight or stripped. The formula was creamy and lathered well, creating a pleasant cleansing experience. However, I did find that it struggled to fully remove stubborn waterproof mascara. I had to use a separate eye makeup remover to ensure all traces were gone. Despite this, I would consider repurchasing this cleanser for everyday use, as it left my skin feeling clean and refreshed.
Product 5: Hydrating Sheet Mask
Using this hydrating sheet mask was a refreshing and pampering experience. The mask fit well on my face and adhered securely, allowing for maximum absorption of the essence. After removing the mask, my skin felt deeply hydrated and plump. It also had a subtle glow, which lasted throughout the day. However, I found the essence to be slightly sticky and took some time to fully absorb. While I enjoyed the immediate results, I’m not sure if I would repurchase this particular sheet mask, as there are other options available with similar benefits.
Product 1: Foaming Face Wash
I don’t believe this product really had any noticeable effect on my skin. The company also sent me their Foaming Face Wash, which I used up, but I wasn’t particularly excited to use either of these products, apart from enjoying the scent. I think we’ve already discussed this enough, especially the invigorating foot cream.
Product 2: Invigorating Foot Cream
I purchased this foot cream during the summer, specifically the peppermint variant that claims to be for hot active feet. I took it with me to Florida, and it proved to be quite pleasant after long days spent in the amusement parks. However, I have to admit that it isn’t the best foot cream I’ve ever used. If you’ve never tried it before, it might be worth a shot, but I actually prefer the hemp variant. The previous version used to come in a little pink pot, although now it seems to be a different color. I still have a small amount left, and while it used to last me a long time, I would mainly use it on my cuticles as a softening agent. It somehow worked as a cuticle remover, even though I have no idea how I stumbled upon this method.
The Foaming Face Wash and the Invigorating Foot Cream were not particularly impressive products for me. However, the foot cream did have some merit and could be worth a try if you’re in need of a new foot cream.
Foot Cream
I recently used a foot cream, and surprisingly, it had a dual purpose. Not only did it soften my feet, but it also worked wonders for my cuticles. It wasn’t just a soothing and cooling sensation; it actually made my skin softer. I would definitely buy it again.
Mini Fenty Skin Instant Reset
I used up a mini version of the Fenty Skin Instant Reset, which is a night cream. I have tried the full-sized version before, in both samples and purchased with my own money. I really like it. It has a gel-cream formula that leaves a noticeable difference in the morning. It brightens the skin and leaves a hydrated feeling. Though it is a bit expensive, it is definitely worth repurchasing.
Vitamin Enriched Face Base from Bobby Brown
The Bobby Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base is one of my all-time favorites. I have bought it multiple times and have also received it as a gift. It falls somewhere between a gel and a cream in terms of consistency. While it is on the pricier side, I won’t be repurchasing it soon, as I have other products I need to use up first.
Product #1: Scented Body Oil
The first beauty product I used up in December is a scented body oil. It absorbs very nicely and has a sweet scent. However, I must note that this scent might not be for everyone. It’s something you may want to smell or test before buying. Additionally, I find that this oil can feel a bit sticky on the back of your hand. Despite this, I personally like everything about it.
Product #2: Fresh Face Moisturizer
The next product I want to talk about is a fresh face moisturizer. This moisturizer is totally fresh and has a cooling sensation when applied to the skin. It absorbs quickly and feels great. One unique feature of this moisturizer is that it works well under makeup. Unlike the previous product, you can easily apply makeup on top of this moisturizer without any issues.
Product #3: Special Occasion Moisturizer
Now, let’s discuss a moisturizer that I consider to be for special occasions. I do not use this moisturizer as part of my regular skincare routine because it is quite expensive and designed to be used in conjunction with cosmetics. However, during the winter or when I have particularly sensitive or sore skin, I reach for this moisturizer. It provides an extra boost of hydration when needed.
To conclude the article, I must apologize for the sudden interruption. My camera just alerted me that the battery is low. Nonetheless, I hope you found my speed reviews of these beauty products helpful. Remember to consider your own preferences and skin needs when deciding whether to purchase these products.
AMARTE Transforming Body Lotion
I just charged you why you doing this to me um this is the Amarate Transforming Body Lotion. I bought a smaller size of this in the summertime. I have had a large one, I have had it sent to me in the past. I have purchased it multiple times myself, it does the job I have.
Improvement for Rough Skin
I don’t have the bumpy skin on my legs so much, but I have on the back of my arms here, like the back of my shoulders, it’s very rough um and for ages. I was like trying to exfoliate and moisturize it away, and eventually, I realized that was just not going to do anything, it’s this. I needed something with AHAs. I do use glycolic acid on my body, it’s a bit awkward like that sometimes, I’ll get my husband to use Pixi Glow Tonic on a cotton pad, to do all of my back and areas that I can’t reach.
Multiple Usage of Glow Tonic
I’ve also got Glow Tonic in a spray bottle for that same reason, but I think it works better when you can wipe it off with something um. But AHA products are the thing for that. If you’ve got that kind of roughness, where it’s rough but you can’t quite figure out what it is, it’s not bumpy, it’s rough, it’s strange, it’s really difficult to describe um and it does the job.
Small Bottles for Convenience
I’m getting only small bottles of this.
Product 1: KP Treatment Cream
Now, because I’m really just only using it here and on the tops of my arms, but if you do have, uh, it’s called KP, there’s a longer word for it, something like Polaris Ker, kertis, kertis Polaris. I can’t find it anywhere on here, but it is particularly good for that. If you know what I’m talking about, the chicken skin type thing, you can get it anywhere on your body, and this is a really, really good product for that.
Product 2: Caffeine Eye Patches
Lastly, oh, we might get under the wire with this flashing of my camera. I’ve got these caffeine eye patches from Primark, which I used kind of off and on, they were fine. They didn’t do anything particularly exciting for me. I won’t be able to buy them again, but they were nice. They were cheap and it was nice to have them in the fridge to just like whack them on if you need a bit of a de-puffing situation because they were only 80 and, um, I don’t know how oh 15 15, although when I showed them in a haul, someone said that was annoying because it was an odd number and you would have at one point a time that you would only have one eye, but it’s 15 pairs so would recommend for the price, if you are looking for something just like, “Oh, I’m just going to throw them on, keep them in the fridge, throw them on when I feel like I need a bit of a de-puff.” They were nice for the price and I don’t know really if the more expensive ones do very much apart from the mask barall ones: they’re amazing, wow.

And if you haven’t already, don’t forget to catch up on vlogmas on my vlogging channel. Let’s get started with the speed reviews!
Skincare
First up is the XYZ cleanser. This product worked well for me, leaving my skin feeling clean and refreshed. However, I did notice that it was a bit drying on my skin, so I’m not sure if I would repurchase it.
The ABC toner was a hit for me. It helped balance my skin’s pH levels and minimized the appearance of pores. I would definitely consider buying it again.
Makeup
The LMN foundation was a disappointment. It didn’t provide enough coverage for my liking and didn’t last as long as I had hoped. I will be exploring other options.
On the other hand, the OPQ mascara was a winner. It gave my lashes incredible length and volume without clumping. I would definitely repurchase this.
Haircare
The RST shampoo and conditioner duo left my hair feeling silky and smooth. I loved the scent, and my hair looked healthier after using them. I would definitely buy them again.
Next, the UVW hair mask was a treat for my locks. It helped repair damage and left my hair feeling nourished. I would highly recommend this product.
Bodycare
The XYZ body lotion was a staple this December. It kept my skin moisturized throughout the day, and I loved the lightweight formula. I would definitely consider repurchasing it.
Lastly, the ABC body wash was just average for me. It did its job, but nothing stood out about it. I’ll be trying other options in the future.
That wraps up this month’s empties review. I hope you found it helpful and got some insight into the products I used up in December. Stay tuned for more exciting content in the upcoming year. See you soon!
Music. Always Christmas time.
December was a month of mixed experiences with the beauty products I used up. While some products impressed me with their effectiveness, others left me wanting more. It’s always interesting to see how different products perform and whether they will earn a place in my routine. Hopefully, next month will bring even more exciting empties and discoveries.
