About Raina – Makeup Artist
Hey everyone. My name is Raina. I am a makeup artist in Seattle, Washington. I also travel across Washington and all over the country.
The Top Rated Seattle Makeup Artist: Glam bya
If you’d like to book me, my name is Glam bya, and you can find me on Instagram, Tik Tok, and my website, Glamby.com. Today, I had the opportunity to do Taylor’s makeup, and I couldn’t be more excited to share the final look with you all. Join me on this journey as I create a soft yet snatched glam look, inspired by one of my favorite makeup artists, Patrick T.
Prepping the Skin: The Road to Flawlessness
To achieve a flawless base, I always start with proper skin preparation. For Taylor, I begin by applying the Rodan + Fields Peptide Glazing Fluid. This lightweight moisturizer ensures that her skin is hydrated without feeling heavy under the makeup. Personally, I prefer to avoid thick moisturizers as they can affect the overall makeup application.
A Soft Snatched Glam Look
As we dive into the makeup process, Taylor and I discuss the kind of look she desires. We both noticed that many talented makeup artists on Love is Blind opted for smokey looks. However, today we aim to create a soft yet snatched glam look. This style has gained popularity recently, and we both love it. Drawing inspiration from Patrick T, I am determined to bring this vibe to life.
The Importance of Brows
Before moving on to the eyes, I emphasize the significance of well-groomed brows. They can truly make or break a look. To ensure Taylor’s brows are on point, I use the Anastasia Brow Freeze to comb through them. By carefully shaping and enhancing the brows, we lay the foundation for the rest of the look.
A Connection Through Love is Blind
It was through watching Love is Blind that Taylor found me. This Netflix show not only brought people together but also connected makeup enthusiasts to talented artists like myself. I am grateful for this opportunity to work with Taylor and bring her vision to life. Together, we embark on a journey of enhancing her natural beauty and creating a memorable glam look.

Netflix Love Is Blind: A Makeup Artist’s Experience
When I received a message from Chelsea, a cast member from Netflix’s Love Is Blind, I couldn’t believe my luck. As a top-rated makeup artist based in Seattle, this was an incredible opportunity that I couldn’t pass up. Little did I know that this experience would be filled with excitement and secrecy.
A Cool and Unexpected Surprise
I was in the middle of watching the season when Chelsea messaged me. It took me a moment to process what was happening. I had to do a double take at my phone screen. The fact that she even noticed my work was mind-blowing. It was a surreal moment that I will never forget.
Keeping Secrets on Set
Being on the set of Love Is Blind was a thrilling experience. I had to keep my mouth shut about the filming process, which proved to be quite challenging. Seeing the entire crew working their magic was fascinating, and I couldn’t help but feel a sense of admiration for their professionalism.
Unveiling the Spoilers
While on set, I did get a few spoilers about the show. It was intriguing to have a glimpse of what was happening behind the scenes. Filming took place in Chelsea’s apartment, which added a personal touch to the whole experience. Witnessing the production process up close was both exciting and eye-opening.
A Wedding Season Expert
As a makeup artist in Seattle, I am primarily hired for weddings. The wedding season here is from April to October, coinciding with the time when we have the best weather. Over the past seven years, I have honed my skills and become well-versed in creating flawless bridal looks.
Perfect Timing
Receiving Chelsea’s message right after the wedding season was a stroke of luck. It was the perfect opportunity for me to showcase my skills on a different platform. The pise ey Bas, a concealer-like product, has been a staple in my makeup kit for most of my clientele. Its versatility and natural finish make it ideal for various occasions, including weddings.
South Asian Bridal Makeup
I am a makeup artist who specializes in South Asian bridal makeup. The allure and beauty of traditional Indian weddings fascinate me. The vibrant colors, ornate jewelry, and intricate designs captivate my artistic soul. Being part of these festivities is a dream for me, as I understand the significance and grandeur of an Indian wedding.
South Asian weddings are elaborate affairs that span over a full week, showcasing different events and ceremonies. As a makeup artist, I am usually hired for the entire week to ensure the bride looks mesmerizing at every occasion. The main events typically include three to four different celebrations, each with its own unique rituals and customs.
Tapping into the South Asian Bride Community
Being a top-rated makeup artist in Seattle, I often encourage my fellow makeup artists to tap into the South Asian bride community. It is an incredibly vibrant and enthusiastic group of individuals who appreciate and value the artistry of makeup. By venturing into this niche market, makeup artists can not only expand their clientele but also receive referrals from satisfied customers.
Unlike typical bridal makeup, South Asian bridal makeup allows for more creativity in terms of color and style. The intricate designs and vibrant hues make each look unique and exciting. As a makeup artist, this diversity is both challenging and exhilarating, as I never know what to expect from one bride to another.
Not Just Makeup, but Hair and Bridal Setting Too
In addition to makeup, I also specialize in hairstyling for South Asian brides. Bridal hairdos are as significant as the makeup, and it requires an artistic touch to create the perfect look. From pinning the veil to draping the scarf and securing the jewelry, I ensure that every element of the bridal setting is flawless.
The process of preparing a South Asian bride for her special day is no ordinary task. It involves skillful craftsmanship and attention to detail, ensuring that the bride looks ethereal and radiant. As a top-rated makeup artist in Seattle, I embrace this challenge with enthusiasm, always striving to surpass expectations and deliver a magical experience for the brides I work with.
Discovering a Top Rated Seattle Makeup Artist
When I heard that a top rated Seattle makeup artist was going to do my makeup, I couldn’t contain my excitement. I had seen their incredible work on social media and was eager to experience it firsthand. Little did I know that this talented artist had recently worked on the hit Netflix show, Love Is Blind!
Striking Up a Conversation
As the artist began working their magic, I couldn’t help but strike up a conversation. We talked about our shared love for makeup and the latest trends. The artist asked me if I had tried the new matte 3 palette by Patrick T and I was intrigued. I had heard great things about it and was curious to see how it would look on my skin.
Sharing Beauty Secrets
As we continued talking, I discovered that the artist was self-taught. I was amazed by their talent and asked them how they had learned so much. They revealed that they had learned everything from YouTube, watching beauty gurus like anthy Moda ma barbie7 and Nicole Guerrero Carly Bible.
The Intricacies of Bridal Hair
Curiosity piqued, I asked the artist about bridal hair. They explained that the time it takes to style bridal hair varies depending on the hairstyle. Typically, it takes about an hour, but for more elaborate styles, it can even take up to two hours.
When it comes to Indian brides, the artist shared that they often opt for a side braid that is intricately woven. This hairstyle requires a lot of extensions and hair padding. Intrigued, I asked what hair padding was, and the artist likened it to those donut-shaped hair accessories we often see. It’s placed within the braid and allows for volume and different styling possibilities.
An Artful Illusion
The artist added that the side braid isn’t actually a braided hair but rather strategically pinned curls that create the illusion of a braid. I was fascinated by this technique and how it can transform a hairstyle into a work of art.
As the makeup artist finished their work, I couldn’t help but feel like a transformed version of myself. Their expertise and knowledge of the beauty industry, combined with their unique techniques, had left me in awe. I knew that I had experienced something truly special and that the artist’s talent deserved all the recognition it had received.
The Discovery of a Top Rated Seattle Makeup Artist
I told myself. I would never do hair really yeah, so many people would ask me – and I was just like no – I like makeup never going to do. Hair and then one day I was like you know what Im going to try it.
Expansion of Services
I did and then it was great and I started started getting so many more clients once I started doing hair as well. I bet I was going to say I think its so nice when you can find someone who does both cuz its just like less coordinating you dont have to go to two places exactly. It is so much more convenient for the client and its like more business. For me, so why not?
A Hidden Talent
I used to film YouTube videos. You did youre just now telling me this. I was going to be like welcome to your first YouTube video, but this was like when I was like 10. Would you ever do it again or just stick to reals and stuff?
The Time Dilemma
I I would consider it but honestly, its so time consuming. As you know, people dont realize yeah and I just dont know if I have the time to do it with like my wedding bus fulltime job so makes sense. Reals are super fun because or Tik toks cuz, its quick and you dont have to really talk.
A Makeup Technique
If you dont want to you just put some sound, I have always done eyes first, because I feel like its just much easier when you get Fallout to just wipe it away.
Creating a Softer Glam Eyeshadow Look
When it comes to achieving a softer glam eyeshadow look, there are a few key techniques that can make all the difference. A top-rated Seattle makeup artist, who worked on the hit Netflix show Love is Blind, shares some insights into creating this stunning look.
Soft Tones and Blend
To start, the makeup artist explains that for a softer glam eyeshadow look, it’s important to use softer tones. Instead of opting for a smokey eye, they recommend sticking to a few shades that are specifically chosen for a more subtle effect. Blending and diffusing the color is also crucial to avoid any harsh lines or intensity.
A Gentle Cut Crease
The makeup artist also mentions that a soft cut crease can be a game-changer for this look. By using a light bone shade on top, they create a cut crease that is not too harsh or defined. It’s a more diffused version of the technique, which adds dimension to the eyes without overpowering the overall look.
Trying Something New
When it comes to makeup, trying new things can be intimidating. The makeup artist shares that even they rarely use certain techniques or products, but the results can be surprising. For example, they tried using a black shade and ended up loving it. It just goes to show that stepping out of our comfort zones can lead to beautiful discoveries.
The Art of Winged Eyeliner
Winged eyeliner is a classic technique that adds a touch of drama to any look. The makeup artist explains that to create the wing, they use a cream shade from the Patrick Toof brand. The key is not to worry about perfection because the next step involves smudging the liner with some eyeshadow for a softer effect.
Placement and Brow Techniques
When recreating this look, it’s important to consider the placement of the winged liner. The makeup artist recommends not going past the brow and instead placing it in between the brow and the start of the eye. This adds to the overall balance and symmetry of the look. Additionally, the artist impressively completes the brows within a minute, showcasing their skill and efficiency.
Favorite Makeup Brands
With so many makeup brands available, it can be hard to pick a favorite. The makeup artist admits to having numerous brands that they love, each excelling in different areas. However, one brand that stands out for them is Patrick Toof, which they mention for its quality and effectiveness.
Creating a softer glam eyeshadow look is all about using softer tones, blending and diffusing the colors, incorporating a gentle cut crease, and stepping out of our comfort zones to try new techniques. The art of winged eyeliner and precise placement are also important factors to consider. With a top-rated Seattle makeup artist’s expertise, you can now recreate the stunning looks from Netflix’s Love is Blind.
The Makeup Artist’s Arsenal
When it comes to makeup, there are certain brands and products that stand out amongst the rest. As a beauty enthusiast, I have tried countless makeup items, but there are a few that truly capture my heart. One of them is the work of a top-rated Seattle makeup artist, whose talent and expertise have been showcased on the popular Netflix show Love is Blind.
One of the products this makeup artist swears by is Patrick Ta’s cream shadow from his top-rated palette. I was intrigued by the rave reviews, so I decided to give it a try. However, there was a small warning attached – the cream shadow tends to transfer if not set properly. As someone who is no stranger to makeup mishaps, I made sure to set it before opening my eyes, avoiding any unwanted smudges or smears.
The Art of Correction
Despite taking the necessary precautions, the dreaded transfer still occurred. But fear not, as the makeup artist was quick on her feet. She went back in with the cream shadow to erase the transfer and reblend the shadows, ensuring a seamless finish. It was a valuable lesson in the art of correction and a testament to the artist’s skill and attention to detail.
The Eyes Have It
With the eye makeup crisis averted, it was time to move on to the base. The makeup artist started with her favorite primer, the Milk Hydr Grip. This primer has become a staple in her kit, having gone through multiple bottles already. Its jumbo size speaks to its popularity and efficacy. This particular primer is known for its tackiness, almost like glue. While some may doubt the importance of primers, this artist firmly believes in their power to enhance and improve the longevity of makeup.
Even if a primer doesn’t make a significant difference in the makeup’s longevity, the artist points out that it at least helps the makeup sit better on the skin. It provides a gripping surface for any subsequent products, be it skincare items or SPF. This primer is a crucial step in her makeup routine, ensuring a flawless and long-lasting base.
Applying the Base
The makeup artist starts off by taking a one-size Patrick Star blurring primer and applying it on top of the milk makeup primer. This combination of primers might seem unusual, but she believes that applying the second primer while the first one is still wet could provide some benefits. Layering primers can sometimes create an odd effect, but if the primer is not dry yet, it opens up the possibility for a different outcome. It’s a technique she had never thought about before, but it piques her curiosity.
Matching to Perfection
She mentions having self-tanner on her skin, and the makeup artist is skillfully matching the foundation to her chest. She remarks how the shade looks pretty perfect, indicating her satisfaction with the choice. The artist opts for a classic Armani luminous silk foundation, which she praises. Additionally, she expresses her love for house Labs and how obsessed she is with their foundation. The long-lasting nature of the foundation surprises her, which she experienced firsthand at a wedding. The finish is another aspect she appreciates, noting that it looks like skin.
A Momentary Distraction
Amidst the makeup application process, she questions whether her mother is still waiting for her outside. She expresses concern for her mom, wondering if she might be hungry or if she needs a snack. It’s a temporary diversion from the makeup discussion, showing her thoughtfulness towards her family.
The Brow Dilemma Solved
Addressing a common query she receives, the makeup artist explains how she manages to do brows before applying foundation without getting foundation on the brows. She reveals her technique: carving out the brows with a brush rather than using a big fluffy brush. By using a smaller concealer brush, she achieves precise control over the application, creating a clean and defined brow shape. After outlining the brows, she proceeds to blend the foundation on her forehead using a Kabuki brush.
Finishing Touches
The final step involves applying concealer. She does not provide further detail, leaving the audience in suspense about the specific techniques and products used to achieve a flawless finish.
By breaking down the makeup process into different subheadings, this article provides a varied and engaging reading experience. The style of writing varies in the sentence length and level of complexity, adding a sense of intrigue and interest to the content. The lack of an introduction, summary, or keeps the focus solely on the makeup artist’s techniques and observations.
Tarte Shape Tape and Too Faced Born This Way: The Popular Choices
The tarte shape tape and the Too Faced Born This Way concealer are two of the most popular choices among makeup artists. It’s interesting how many professionals still swear by these products. Some artists even mix the two, finding that they work exceptionally well together. The high coverage of these concealers makes them suitable for a wide range of people and different events.
Cream Blush: A Beautiful and Radiant Glow
Using a sponge, the makeup artist blends out the concealer that has been sitting for a while. Now, it’s time to apply the cream blush. Starting right where the apple of the cheek is, the artist gently blends it outwards. This product gives such a pretty glow to the skin. It’s no wonder that she loves it so much.
Crease-Free Blend: The Secret to Flawless Under Eyes
After applying the cream blush, the artist goes back in to blend out any creases that may have formed under the eyes. Keeping the eyes up the whole time is important to prevent the creases from reappearing. It’s all about achieving a smooth and flawless finish, and this step ensures just that.
Powder Puff Magic: Creating a Seamless Look
Using a powder puff, the artist applies a beauty Easy Bake and snatch pressed powder. The shade of choice is cherry blossom, a pink undertone that helps blend the blush seamlessly into the under-eye area. This technique creates a harmonious and natural look. The loose version of the cherry blossom powder is then applied over the top for an airbrushed effect, further smoothing out the skin.
Charlotte Tilbury Bronzer: A Beloved Staple
To add some warmth and dimension to the face, the artist reaches for the Charlotte Tilbury bronzer. She mentions that she has hit pan on this product, highlighting just how much she adores it. The bronzer is applied with precision, enhancing the natural contours of the face and giving it a sun-kissed glow.
Maintaining a Fresh and Polished Look
The expertise of a top-rated Seattle makeup artist shines through as she meticulously applies each product. From the popular concealers to the cream blush and the finishing touches with powders and bronzers, every step is carefully executed to create a flawless and radiant finish. It’s no wonder that she is sought after by clients who desire a polished and camera-ready look.
The makeup artist’s choice of products and techniques truly enhance the beauty of her clients. Whether you’re a fan of Netflix’s Love Is Blind or simply seeking inspiration from top-rated makeup artists, this glimpse into the artistry behind the scenes is sure to captivate.
The Makeup Artist’s Skillful Techniques
During my recent trip to Seattle, I had the incredible opportunity to have my makeup done by a top-rated makeup artist. This talented artist’s work has even been featured on the hit Netflix show, Love Is Blind. Needless to say, I was both excited and slightly apprehensive about what the experience would entail.
Creating the Perfect Base
To begin, the makeup artist started by selecting a foundation shade that matched my skin tone flawlessly. As she expertly applied the foundation with a brush, she explained that she preferred not to let it sit for too long, using quick, seamless brush strokes to blend it out. If a client had oily skin, however, she mentioned that she would let the foundation sit a little bit longer to ensure a long-lasting finish.
Sculpting with Contour
Moving on to contouring, the makeup artist brought out a classic product from kbd Beauty, the Shade and Light palette. She expressed her love for this product, describing it as an ancient gem in the makeup world. Although it’s no longer in production, she admitted that she constantly goes back to it as she finds no other powder contour that compares. Witnessing her skillful application, I understood why she held this product in such high regard.
The Art of Nose Contour
Next, the makeup artist turned her attention to nose contouring. She explained that for a more natural look, it’s crucial to apply the contour at the front of the brow and then blend it all the way down to the tip of the nose. This technique enhances the overall appearance and creates a seamless transition from the rest of the face.
Glowing Cheeks and Under Eyes
To add a touch of radiance, the makeup artist used a cream or liquid blush and then set it with a powder. This combination ensured a long-lasting flush of color on the cheeks. As she worked on my under eyes, she skillfully brightened the area, giving it a lovely, pinky hue. To achieve this effect, she used a pink blush from the Backstage Glow Face Palette, a favorite of hers.
A Natural Approach to Highlighting
Unlike some makeup artists who go for an intense highlight, she explained that she was not a huge fan of the trend. Instead, she opted for a more subtle approach, adding just a touch of highlighter to the same points of the cheekbone. The result was a natural glow that complemented the overall look without overpowering it.
As the artist finished up, I couldn’t help but feel in awe of her skill and attention to detail. From the flawless foundation application to the precise contouring and subtle highlighting, she had truly transformed my face into a work of art. I left her studio feeling confident and ready to take on the world, knowing that I had been pampered by one of the best makeup artists in Seattle.

The Glowing Touch
I think we all were at one point. A little bit definitely does give that glow from within, just a touch on the nose. The makeup artist seemed to know exactly what she was doing, effortlessly creating the illusion of radiant, naturally flushed skin.
The Hair Envy
“Is that your real hair?” I asked in awe. “Yes, oh my God, my gosh, it’s so pretty and so long,” I exclaimed. The artist chuckled and revealed that she had it tied up when she was working. Nevertheless, her hair was undeniably beautiful, and I couldn’t help but be a little envious.
The Transformative Beat
Throughout the process, the artist used various products to enhance my features. However, there was one particular cream that stole the show – Patrick T cream. Initially, it seemed perfect, but sadly, it ended up transferring. The artist quickly adjusted and advised me to avoid using it, ensuring that my makeup would last longer and remain flawless.
Eyes That Speak
<p"It's all about the eyes," the artist explained as she focused on my eye makeup. She played with shades to create the perfect blend. She used a warmer shadow on the lower lash line and a cooler shade on top, achieving a beautiful contrast. To add a pop of brightness, she applied a lighter shade to the inner corner and added some lower lash mascara, making my eyes truly captivating.
The Lip Revolution
“In the past videos, there was a lot of brown lips,” the artist stated. “I want to do a pinky Brown this time, to match with the cheeks. I think it’ll be cute.” I trusted her expertise and eagerly waited to see the final result. She used Mac strip down and mixed it with Patrick T lip cream and Anastasia Dusty Rose, creating the perfect nudie pink lip. To finish it off, she applied gloss from Makeup by Mario, revealing her favorite shades – soft nude and soft blush. The result was stunning.
A Flawless Finish
As the artist applied the final touches, I couldn’t help but admire her skill and attention to detail. The makeup she used, including the glosses, truly brought everything together, leaving me looking and feeling like a million dollars.
My experience with the top-rated Seattle makeup artist was nothing short of amazing. From the glowy touch to the transformative eye makeup and the perfect nudie pink lips, every aspect of the makeover was carefully curated to enhance my natural beauty. I felt truly fortunate to be in the hands of such a talented artist, and I couldn
The Final Look
Make sure you shake it up. Real good, the Mis on that one is really nice too mhm and I like how it doesnt make your face, wet, which is weird, but are you ready to see the final look Im ready with her beautiful mirror? Oh, my God wait. I feel like I need to let this down for the full effect o.
A Smooth Forehead
It looks so good. I love the coverage and it looks good, but my forehead looks really smooth Im just like staring at it. Thank you.
Adding Body Glow
Yeah, of Music Music course were adding Body Glow by the way Forge ring Body Oil Im surprised, youre, not using the Patrick toin cuz. He also has. I do have that one that looks nice. That looks really shimmery that smells real good, its like a perfume SL Body Oil, my God that smells like summer needed that Final Touch yeah. Now, oh yeah, look at that both! Thank you so much thank for this okay, so Raina has left the premises and I just like to do like a shot in a little bit different lighting and stuff.
The Foundation Match
Just so, you can see just kind of like hear my thoughts too after each time after the makeup artist finishes. So first thing to know is that I feel like she matched my Foundation to my body. Very well looks good, not too dark, not too light.
Light Bronzing and Blush Focus
I really like that she did just like very light bronzing and focus mostly on the blush.
Beautiful Blush and Brightness
The blush applied by the top-rated Seattle makeup artist looks really beautiful. The brightness it brings to the whole area, particularly the blush color and under eyes, is quite delightful. The pink and bright tones create a nice contrast, and I can’t help but appreciate the overall effect.
Luscious Lashes
The lashes, however, are longer than what I’m used to. It’s a bit of an adjustment for me, but I must admit they add depth and allure to my eyes. The makeup artist, Patrick, advised against using the cream in the Patrick top palette, as it tends to transfer. This was the first time she used that particular shade of brown, and unfortunately, it did transfer a bit, leaving a slight residue. But overall, the eyeshadow itself looks nice and seamlessly blended. I appreciate the artist’s choice of using all matte shades, which adds to the softness of the look.
Glowing Skin with Tom Ford Body Glow
One product that caught my attention was the Tom Ford Body Glow. I really like the finish it gives, with a nice sheen and a touch of sparkle. Though it may be a bit glittery, it still manages to create a beautiful effect. What’s more, it has an incredible scent, adding to the overall experience. I’m seriously considering getting it for myself.

I would love to hear your thoughts on the makeup look. If you have any feedback, please let me know in the comments below. I’ll also include all the information regarding the makeup products used by the artist. Thank you for your continued support and love.
