Exploring Milk Makeup Jelly Tint Shades
I purchased these from Milk Makeup’s website because they were sold out on Sephora. Finally back in stock, I’ve never played with a makeup product like this before. Each shade retails for $24, and there are four shades available.
Unboxing and Initial Impressions
The packaging is super cute, and I love the vibrant colors. I’m excited to start the review with SW watching the shades. Opening them up, the texture looks like a popsicle or a lollipop – Jell-O that’s bouncy and wet. The stains set in right away, providing long-lasting color for the cheeks and lips.
Reviewing the Shades
Starting with Spritz, the cooling sensation feels really nice, and it’s a beautiful shade. Next is Splash, which seems like a little goes a long way – creating a watercolor-like effect. Moving on to Chill, a nice red shade, and Burst, which provides an instant payoff. The jelly texture is fascinating, making the application process intriguing.
Concerns and Wear Test
The bouncy jelly texture is cool, but I’m a little concerned about how the application will work. After looking at reviews, many people agree that the application can be a bit finicky. It may take some trial and error to find the best method for applying the Milk Makeup Jelly Tint.
Milk Makeup Jelly Tint Review
Even Milk Makeup themselves are saying it dries down really fast. This formula so Work One Cheek at a time. This cooling, jelly tint from Milk Makeup might be a good underpainting formula like a blush, just because of the staining method place it underneath and then go with some makeup on top to give it more of that very effortless look kind of want to go with This shade right here this one is Chill – has a little bit of a glow. They’re not matte, but I mean I can’t really move that comes off on the finger, but on the back of the hand, M wow it’s not really coming off, and they do say to remove this use an oil-based cleanser, so this right here I have my toner that I use for my skin care and that’s actually taking it off pretty good.
Wear Test
So I do have makeup on my face on my cheeks, so on this side let’s try fingertips. First see how far that gets us, so gently swipe or swirl the stick directly onto your lips and cheeks. It dries fast, so Work One Cheek at a time and blend quickly with your fingers brush or a sponge, and you can also build up for your desired payoff, color payoff and then just start working quickly to blend. That in lets take the tiny little brush and I’m just going to gently swirl yeah. You have to work with it right away, still doesn’t look as diffused as I would want it to be, but that feeling is really nice that cooling sensation.
Application Process
They also say you can place these into your fridge to give that extra benefit of the cooling sensation on your cheeks. I mean that looks pretty, but I feel like its not really where I want it to be personally. What how I would apply these, I would take a brush like so, or even something like this Rare Beauty, Soft Pinch, blush brush and directly apply it to the brush and then go onto my cheeks and build my look that way for this blush cuz. I find that this way its no kind of got rid of a lot of that color and you can still see right there, its like a spot where I just applied it so lets do this lets apply it to the brush, not sure if thats enough or too much and Im just going to start stamping where I want that blush to sit like, I would have the most control this way you dont get that cooling sensation, but if you want an easier blending time with this blush, I think this way is the way to go Im going to try this brush o this one gave a beautiful payoff.
Initial Impression
Oh my okay! This is a little too much wow, okay, okay! We can definitely build it up. Im going to go back in my foundation, brush that I used with whatever is left and soften that you can. You can see that glow and I was looking and definitely its picking up makeup when I applied it to my cheeks so like I said this might be a great blush for underpainting.
Reviewing the Milk Makeup Jelly Tint
Now lets go on Sponge on the left side. I want that cooling sensation so were going to go straight onto the cheeks, pays off right away, softly dampen sponge and just start working. This in yeah blendability is very finicky.
Blendability and Application
With this see what I mean Im going have to use my foundation brush go over that nope dont. Like that method, I didnt think the blendability was going to be this finicky cuz. When I was looking at some of these reviews online, they made the blendability look. So easy and seamless and Flawless and effortless yeah, no
Longevity and Pigment Payoff
Im going to reiterate. I think this is going to be great for underneath your makeup with underpainting technique, because it does stain, has pretty great pigment payoff the more you swipe onto your cheeks and it stains like its going to stay on all day long, which is great for longevity. But for blendability not great Im going to take a little bit of my Milani cream bronzer and work this underneath Im going to do a wear test for the next part of this review cuz.
Wear Test and Final Thoughts
I do want to see how its going to wear make an assumption that its going to be there all day, long its not going to go anywhere. I do like the way my cheeks are looking. The texture is not getting enhanced because it does have that uh dewy finish. It feels good, its, not tacky its, not sticky. It doesnt have a powder finish, but on this side I have a pimple right there and it stained my pimple.
The Fascinating Formula
The formula of the Milk Makeup Jelly Tint is truly fascinating. It’s fun to play with, but the blendability can be quite tricky. When applying it with the sponge, you might find yourself experimenting with different techniques to achieve the desired look. One side might not look as good as the other, but with some practice, you can create a diffused watercolor effect on your cheeks that is quite lovely. The concept itself is fresh and exciting, with a cooling sensation that adds to the overall experience.
A Cool Sensation
The cooling feature of the Jelly Tint adds a refreshing touch when applied to the lips. It feels almost like eating a popsicle, a sensation that is both fun and enjoyable. Adding a lip liner to outline the lips can enhance the overall look and feel of the product. Reapplying the tint can maintain a nice appearance, although be aware that it may exaggerate any lines or wrinkles on the lips.
The Wear Test
After a 2-hour wear test of the Milk Makeup Jelly Tint for cheeks and lips, the results are quite promising. Despite some snacking, the lips feel comfortable and stained, with minimal dryness. The cheeks still show a nice tint, although some patchiness may be visible in certain lighting conditions. Overall, the product holds up well during normal daily activities, offering a long-lasting and enjoyable experience.
Initial Application
Just stained, I will keep you guys updated, especially around dinner time. Making a Cheesy like cheesy, Burger pasta, so that’s going to be probably a little bit oily. We’ll see if it’s going to get rid of the stain off my lips. I’m assuming it probably will. But I think there will still be something left on my lips after dinner. Cooking dinner now, so it’s 5 hours since I applied the makeup. This is what we’re looking like – still something there, but you can see where a lot of the tint is disappearing, especially in the corners of my mouth and in the center.
After Dinner
Just finished eating dinner, and this is what I’m looking like. I think a lot of the lip liner has kind of disappeared, but the stain I think it’s looking a little more even on my lips. A lot of the color has disappeared from eating and drinking, but it doesn’t look bad. I thought it would settle a little more into my lines, but it actually looks pretty nice. I like the way it’s disappearing on my lips. The stain is really pretty, cheeks popping. Can’t really say much about the cheeks because that blush is there to stay.
Final Update
Alright, I’m going to see you guys at the very end of the night for the final update. Hoping to get at least like 12 to 13 hours.
Reviewing Milk Makeup Jelly Tint
The wear test for the Milk Makeup Jelly Tint on both the cheeks and lips was quite interesting. The cheeks maintained a decent look throughout the day, while the lips had a very subtle stain that was effortless to achieve.
Cleansing and Final Thoughts
After cleansing my skin, I have to say that the tint on the lips was impressive and I can see myself wearing it often. However, I was not as blown away by the performance of the Jelly Tint on my cheeks.
Overall, the Milk Makeup Jelly Tint provides a beautiful, buildable color that gives a lovely glow to the cheeks. While the cooling sensation may not be for everyone, the application process can be easily adjusted to suit personal preferences. The blush can be easily blended for a more subtle look or layered for a bolder appearance. It is definitely a product worth trying out for those looking for a versatile blush option.
For now, I will keep using the Milk Makeup Jelly Tint primarily on my lips and continue to explore its possibilities for different looks. It may not be a necessity, but it certainly has its merits.
While the Milk Makeup Jelly Tint is great for the lips and offers a really effortless stain, I would not necessarily say it is a must-have for your cheeks. The convenience of the twist-up stick is definitely a plus, but I will continue experimenting with different formulas to see if I can achieve a better finish for the blush.
Exploring Options
Overall, I appreciate the concept of the Jelly Tint and will continue to play around with it to see how it works with other products and techniques. It has the potential to be a versatile addition to my makeup collection.
