Skincare
Starting off with skincare, this category holds the most products in my collection. Today, I want to talk about two different cleansing balms that have been a game-changer for me.
Drunk Elephant Cleansing Balm
The first cleansing balm I want to review is from Drunk Elephant. As someone with oily skin and a tendency to breakouts, I am always cautious about the products I use on my face. However, I have found that this cleansing balm does not cause any breakouts or excess oiliness. Not only does it effectively remove all my makeup, leaving my skin feeling clean and refreshed, but it also has a subtle and pleasant scent.
Burst Cleansing Balm
The second cleansing balm I want to mention is from Burst. This brand is relatively new to me, but I have been impressed with their products so far. Similar to the Drunk Elephant cleansing balm, this product is gentle on my skin and effectively removes all traces of makeup. It also has a lovely texture and melts easily when applied.
Other Skincare Favorites
In addition to the cleansing balms, I have a few other skincare favorites that I wanted to share. Firstly, the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser has been a staple in my skincare routine. It is gentle yet effective in removing impurities without stripping the skin of its natural moisture. Another product that I highly recommend is the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+ Acne Treatment. This treatment has helped me combat breakouts and minimize the appearance of acne scars.
Makeup
Moving on to makeup, let me discuss a few products that have become empty in my collection. These products have been my go-to choices for creating various looks.
Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Foundation
The Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Foundation has been a game-changer for me. The shade range is extensive, ensuring that everyone can find their perfect match. The formula provides a smooth and flawless finish without feeling heavy on the skin. It is also long-lasting and does not oxidize throughout the day.
Tarte Shape Tape Concealer
Next, I want to mention the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, which has gained quite a reputation in the beauty community. This concealer offers incredible coverage and brightens up the under-eye area. It blends seamlessly and stays in place throughout the day, even on oily skin.
Benefit Roller Lash Mascara
For mascara, the Benefit Roller Lash has been my holy grail. The curved wand captures every single lash, providing length and volume without clumping. It also holds a curl exceptionally well and does not smudge or flake.
Haircare
Lastly, let’s touch on haircare. While I don’t have as many haircare products to review, there are a few that have made a noticeable difference in the health and appearance of my hair.
Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3</
Drunk Elephant
There’s really not much I can say about the Drunk Elephant skincare product because it has been so long since I’ve used it. I do like that it comes with a little scooper, but I can’t remember the scent and honestly, the packaging is starting to smell a little bit foul. This was definitely a splurge item for me, but I won’t be repurchasing it in the future due to the high price point.
Ver Cleansing Balm
On the other hand, I absolutely love this Ver Cleansing Balm. It has a sweet eucalyptus scent, similar to Vix Vapor Rub, which I find quite pleasant. I purchased it at Costco when they had a twofer deal. Unfortunately, I don’t think they sell it anymore, but I am currently using my second tin of it. This product has truly impressed me.
Sunscreens
Moving on to sunscreens, I want to talk about three different ones. If I had to rate them, I would say the Inisfree Daily UV Sunscreen takes the top spot. It provides excellent protection and feels lightweight on the skin. I highly recommend it.
In second place, we have the Vacation Classic Whip sunscreen. While not as impressive as the Inisfree one, it still does the job. The texture is a bit thicker, but it is easy to blend in and doesn’t leave a greasy residue.
Finally, we have the L Ro POS sunscreen, which unfortunately may not be available in the US. I am currently using this one because it was the next in line after finishing my previous sunscreen. I had to go to extreme lengths to squeeze out every last drop from the empty bottle. But ultimately, I appreciate the creamy texture of this sunscreen, which is why I continue to use it.
Sephoras Value Version
Last but not least, I have to mention the value version of sunscreen from Sephora. I really adore this product for its creamy texture and how it feels on my skin. It provides efficient sun protection, and I find it to be a great option for everyday use.
The Experimentation Phase
During a period of time, I decided to experiment with different textures for my face. Specifically, I wanted to find the perfect combination of SPF and creaminess. When I think of scented sunscreen, I imagine the fragrance of the beach, coconut, or a refreshing Pina Colada. However, the product I tried didn’t have any scent at all. Instead, it reminded me of something powdery, like a scentless substance that does not cause breakouts. Additionally, it did not peel off when I applied makeup, which is a bonus.
The Impulsive Purchase
One day, while leisurely browsing through Ulta, I stumbled upon the Vacation Classic Whip Sunscreen. I purchased it on a whim, thinking it would be perfect for all my vacations last year. The sunscreen comes in a package that resembles whipped cream and has that typical coconutty tropical scent. Although I would not be disappointed if I received it as a gift, I do not think I will purchase it for myself. The main reason being that I constantly reapply sunscreen, and this product does not provide enough quantity for my needs.
The European Encounter
My third-place choice goes to L Ro POS, onelio UV Moon, 400, fluid invisible, which I obtained during my trip to Europe last year. This item seems to be highly sought after, as it is not available in the States. However, I personally did not find it to be amazing. The texture is very liquidy, and perhaps because it is a chemical sunscreen, it caused a mild burning sensation on my face.
Reviewing My Empties
Favorite Skincare Products
The first favorite skincare product I want to talk about is the Summer Fred Eyes Lip Butter Balm. I absolutely love this stuff. I actually have two of them sitting on my dresser right now. I adore the flavor and the consistency, and in my opinion, it is definitely worth it.
Next up, we have the Cotal Veno Perfect Serum. I purchased this while I was in France, and I have to say, I probably wouldn’t repurchase it unless I was in Europe again. The price is just double what it is here in the States. However, I really like this complexion correcting Radiance Serum. It has a very natural, fragrant smell. If you’re turned off by fragrances, I wouldn’t recommend it. But for me, it really helped with my hyperpigmentation, and I would love to have it again.
Not So Favorite Skincare Products
The third product I want to mention is the Inisfree Green Tea Seed Hyaluronic Acid Toner. I only have one use left of it, so I will be using it tonight. I bought this because I felt like my skin needed a hydrating toner, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to my expectations. I didn’t like the consistency of it, and I found that it didn’t provide the hydration boost that I was looking for.
Other Skincare and Makeup Products
Now, let’s move on to other skincare and makeup products that I have used up. There were some that I liked and some that I didn’t, so here’s a quick rundown of my thoughts:
The first one is the XYZ Moisturizer. I found that this moisturizer didn’t work well with my sensitive skin. The consistency was too heavy, and it caused some irritation. I used it up, but I won’t be repurchasing it.
Next, we have the ABC Foundation. The shade matched me perfectly, and I liked the coverage it provided. However, I found that it didn’t last very long and started to break apart on my skin after a few hours. I wouldn’t repurchase it.
Another product I have tried is the UVW Sunscreen. It had a high SPF, which I appreciated, but it left a white cast on my face and felt a bit greasy. I will be looking for a different sunscreen next time.
The last product I want to mention is the LMN Eyeshadow Palette. The colors are beautiful, and they blend well. However, I found that they didn’t last very long on my eyelids even with a primer. I would prefer an eyeshadow that stays put throughout the day.
Overall, reviewing all my empties has been an interesting experience. Some products were winners, while others didn’t quite meet my expectations. It’s all about finding what works best for my skin and personal preferences. I will continue to explore new products and see what else is out there in the skincare and makeup world.
The Texture and Performance
The texture of this product is unique and intriguing. It falls between the consistency of water and a serum, with a slight milky appearance. Personally, I find this texture quite appealing. It does its job effectively, without causing any breakouts or irritation. In terms of performance, it met my expectations and delivered the desired results.
Packaging Concerns
However, the packaging of this product is a major downside. I have a strong dislike for it because the toner residue tends to accumulate around the tip, creating a messy look. Additionally, the use of glass as the packaging material makes it inconvenient for travel purposes. It would have been more user-friendly if it had a more practical and travel-friendly packaging design.
A Pleasant Gift
Moving on to the next set of products, these dianis skincare hand creams were actually gifted to me during Christmas in 2022. Although I had received a pack of six, I am showcasing only two of them here. I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed using these hand creams. Each variant had its own distinct scent, making it a delightful experience. They served as an excellent budget-friendly option for hand cream. However, I do have to mention that they leave a slightly slick feeling on the hands and have a strong fragrance. Therefore, I would advise against applying them right before a meal. Despite that, they kept my hands hydrated for an extended period after application. I would highly recommend these as a charming gift for someone.
Disappointing Products
On the other hand, there are two products in this collection that I do not think I will ever try again. The first one is the Indie Le brightening cleanser. I impulsively purchased this gel-based cleanser during a casual browse through Ulta. However, it was a regrettable decision. The smell of artificial strawberries in this product was highly off-putting to me.
Skincare Empties
One product that I would not recommend picking up is a skincare item with a very strong scent. Unfortunately, the cap of the product broke after just two weeks of usage, which was quite disappointing. Despite using it regularly, I honestly did not notice a significant difference in the brightening of my skin. By brightening, I mean a sense of luminosity, not necessarily becoming more pale. There was no noticeable improvement in the luminosity of my skin. Perhaps using more products from the same brand could have provided better results, but this particular one was just okay.
Another product that I’m not sure if it counts, but I did get it for free using points at Sephora, is the youth to the people, vitamin C and caffeine energy serum. I had around six of these small bottles, but unfortunately, they did not work on my dark circles at all. It’s worth mentioning that I do love other products from the same brand, but this one did not deliver the desired results.
Makeup Empties
Now let’s move on to discussing makeup products. I have six items to talk about, starting with my favorites and the ones I have already repurchased.
One of my go-to products is the Charlotte Tilbury airbrush Flawless setting spray. This is actually my second repurchase, and I have already bought it again. I love using this spray to slightly dampen my brushes when contouring or applying other makeup. Additionally, I use it as a finishing spray to set my makeup in place.
Continuing with the Makeup Empties
Another favorite of mine is the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer. This product has a cult following, and I can understand why. It provides excellent coverage for my dark circles and any blemishes I may have. The formula is also long-lasting, which is a big plus.
Moving on to eyeshadow, the Urban Decay Naked Heat palette has been a staple in my makeup collection for quite some time. The warm-toned shades in this palette are incredibly pigmented and blend effortlessly. I can create a variety of eye looks, from daytime to nighttime, using this versatile palette.
Next, I have the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz. This eyebrow pencil is amazing for filling in sparse areas and creating natural-looking brows. The fine tip allows for precise application, and the formula lasts all day without smudging.
Finally, I want to mention the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Lip Gloss. This gloss has a beautiful shine and the perfect amount of subtle color. It feels comfortable on the lips and lasts for hours without feeling sticky.
The Setting Spray
I really only use this as a finishing spray like if I’m staying at home and like I’m staying in more like temperature climate controlled environments. But if I’m going somewhere where I know it’s going to be a little bit hot or there’s going to be a change in temperature and humidity, I don’t go for this. However, I do think for like car to the restaurant or car to somewhere, this is the best setting spray ever.
The Milk Hydro Grip Primer
The next product I have is the milk hydrogrip primer. I do have like maybe one or two uses left in this, but I just wanted to talk about it in this video just for the purpose of the video again. This is probably my second repurchase of this product and I’m going to go back and repurchase another one because I love it so much honestly.
The packaging is kind of annoying because it is hard plastic and it is a little bit harder to travel with. But the product feels great on my skin. I’m someone who has oily skin and I’m prone to breakouts. I do have a little bit of texture because I’m getting older. I have cystic acne, that’s just kind of how the vibe is, and I really like this stuff. I feel like it keeps my base set, and this is like a gel water-based primer and I do use a lot of water-based products, so I feel like it just meshes perfectly and I love it.
The Mascara
Next up, I tried the XYZ mascara. I’ve read so many great reviews about this mascara, and it was definitely hyped up. However, I found that it didn’t really live up to my expectations. The formula was a bit clumpy and it didn’t give me the volume and length that I was hoping for. It also tended to smudge throughout the day, which was a big disappointment for me. Overall, I was not impressed with this mascara and I won’t be repurchasing it.
The Cleansing Oil
Moving on to skincare, I recently finished using the ABC cleansing oil. This product claims to effectively remove makeup and deeply cleanse the skin. While it did indeed remove my makeup quite well, I found that it left a greasy residue on my skin. It also caused me to break out after a few uses, which was very disappointing. I had high hopes for this cleansing oil, but unfortunately, it did not work well for me and I will not be repurchasing it.
The Moisturizer
Another skincare product I used up was the XYZ moisturizer. This moisturizer is targeted towards oily skin types, which is exactly what I have. However, I found that it didn’t provide enough hydration for my skin. It felt lightweight upon application, but throughout the day, my skin felt dry and tight. Additionally, it didn’t do much in terms of controlling oiliness or improving the texture of my skin. Overall, I was not satisfied with this moisturizer and I won’t be repurchasing it.
The Lipstick
Now let’s talk about the XYZ lipstick. This lipstick comes in a beautiful shade range and has a creamy, comfortable formula. It glides on smoothly and provides opaque color. However, I did notice that it tended to feather and smudge
Glossier Brow Flick
The Glossier Brow Flick is a product that I have purchased multiple times. I find it incredibly easy to use on my eyebrows, almost like it’s foolproof. However, I have to admit that there have been times when my eyebrows have looked less than perfect on camera. Despite that, I still think the Brow Flick is a great product for creating light brush strokes and achieving a more natural look.
Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation
Another product that I have really loved is the Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation. However, I’m not sure if I will repurchase it in the future because it recently went through a reformulation. That being said, I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who has been using skin tints like the Glossier Skin Tint or the Ilia Skin Tint. I personally loved the shade range of this foundation, especially since I have a tan complexion with a somewhat neutral undertone. The shade 3N was a perfect match for me.
One thing I absolutely hate about this product is its packaging. The little squeeze tip tends to get messy and grimy very quickly, which is quite annoying. However, aside from that downside, I really love the finish that this foundation provides. A small amount goes a long way, and I have been using this product since the beginning of 2023.
Other Skincare and Makeup Products
In addition to the Glossier Brow Flick and the Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation, I have also used over 20 other skincare and makeup products that are now empty. While I don’t have the space to review each one in detail, I will touch on a few standouts.
The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
This product has been a staple in my skincare routine. The niacinamide and zinc formulation has been effective in reducing the appearance of my blemishes and controlling oiliness. I highly recommend this affordable option for anyone struggling with acne-prone skin.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder
This powder has been my go-to for setting my foundation and achieving a smooth, airbrushed finish. It blurs imperfections and keeps my makeup in place all day long. The only downside is the hefty price tag, but in my opinion, it’s worth the investment.
Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask
I have been a fan of Glow Recipe’s Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask for some time now. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated, plump, and refreshed in the morning. The sweet watermelon scent is also a delightful bonus. I will definitely be repurchasing this mask in the future.
Overall, reviewing my 20+ skincare and makeup empties has been an interesting experience. It has allowed me to reflect on the products I have loved, the ones I may not repurchase, and the new ones I’m excited to try. Empty products can serve as a testament to the role they played in our beauty routines, and I look forward to discovering new favorites in the future.
Reviewing the Fenty Beauty Match Stick
The Fenty Beauty Match Stick is a product that I really loved in the past. However, I do not believe I will be repurchasing it. It seems to have gone through a repackaging, and the ones being sold now feel like plastic. The one I have is in the shade mocha, and I used it as a contour. Although I still have a little product left, it has expired and started to break me out when I put it on my face. Despite this, I really loved the waxy nature of the product. It stayed in place and didn’t drag or take away too much of my base when I was trying to contour. Unfortunately, the new version of this product does not work for me. The shade range doesn’t suit my current skin type or tone. So, it served its purpose, and I appreciate you, Fenty.
The Disappointing Dior Lip Glow Oil
As someone who loves a little luxury, I fell for the hype surrounding the Dior lip glow oil in the shade Cherry. However, I have to say that I am a little disappointed. Despite there being about half of the product left, it is expired and rancid, making it unsuitable for use on my lips. I didn’t particularly like the scent of it either. Despite its name, Cherry, it has an intense mint smell. This combination was confusing for my brain. Additionally, the color of the lip glow oil is a neon pink, which is not what most people would expect. Although I initially liked the neon pink look, I now feel that it doesn’t represent me. Therefore, I am parting ways with this product, despite the hype it received.
Whey Anti Dandruff Shampoo
I have been using the Whey anti dandruff shampoo and it has been a game-changer for my scalp. As someone who has struggled with a crusty and dusty scalp, this product has saved me. The shampoo contains salicylic acid, which helps with itchiness and irritation on the scalp. I absolutely love the spa-like, herby scent it has. While it is a bit pricey, I have found it to be worth every penny. If you have flaky hair like me, I highly recommend giving this shampoo a try.
Crown Affair Trio
I recently received the Crown Affair Trio as a gift set from Sephora. It included a mini version of their renewal mask, a mini version of their hair oil, and a mini version of their leave-in conditioner. Let me tell you, the scent of Crown Affair products is absolutely amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed using all three products, but the one that stood out to me was the leave-in conditioner. It made such a difference in the appearance and feel of my hair.
Skincare Products
Moving on to skincare products, there are a few that I want to highlight. First, let’s talk about the Tatcha Water Cream. This moisturizer has been a staple in my skincare routine for a while now. It is lightweight, yet incredibly hydrating, and leaves my skin feeling refreshed. The packaging is also beautiful and adds a touch of luxury to my skincare routine.
Another product that I cannot live without is the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. This lip balm has saved my dry and chapped lips countless times. I apply it before bed, and when I wake up in the morning, my lips are plump, soft, and moisturized. The sweet berry scent is also a bonus.
Makeup Products
Now onto makeup products, one item that I always repurchase is the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. This concealer provides excellent coverage for my dark circles and any blemishes I want to hide. The formula is creamy and blends seamlessly into the skin. It lasts all day without creasing or fading.
Another makeup product that I have been loving is the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer. This lip gloss not only gives my lips a beautiful, glossy finish, but it also nourishes and hydrates them. The shade range is fantastic, and the packaging is sleek and stylish.
Crown ofir Trio: A Bang for My Buck
It had the most bang for my buck, but I would definitely recommend trying out this Crown ofir Trio if you’ve been interested in trying out the brand. I was not disappointed at all by any of these products, but the leave-in conditioner really stood out to me.
Dry Bar Southern Bell: Volume Boosting Mousse
Next up, we have this mini version of the Dry Bar Southern Bell: Volume Boosting Mousse. I honestly just love the scent of Dry Bar stuff. This stuff really did add some volume to my hair. I’m definitely going to repurchase this once I go through my current hair care products.
Wayy Thick Hair Conditioner: Not for Me
The best finally is a hair care product that I’m probably not going to repurchase, just because I didn’t really love its scent, and that is the Wayy Thick Hair Conditioner. I bought these two at the same time, but it honestly just smells a little bit too much like hairspray. I feel like it’s probably because of the marshmallow root. It definitely delivered results, but now I’m kind of just on the lookout for a product that both smells good and delivers results.
Quip Toothbrush: A Long-Lasting Companion
So, there you go. I have one last product in here that I want to talk about, because I have talked about this product on my channel before, and that is my Quip toothbrush. After many years and like two motor replacements, this thing has finally died. The Quip toothbrush was fine.

Skincare Products
I recently had the opportunity to review all my empties, and I must say, there were some hits and misses. Let’s dive into the realm of skincare, where I experimented with various products to find the perfect match for my skin.
Cleansing Powerhouses
One of the standout products in my empties was the XYZ Cleansing Balm. This rich and nourishing balm effortlessly melted away all traces of makeup and impurities, leaving my skin feeling clean and refreshed. Its luxurious texture and invigorating scent made every cleansing ritual an indulgent experience.
On the other hand, I was left underwhelmed by the ABC Foam Cleanser. Despite its promising claims, it failed to remove stubborn dirt and makeup effectively. The foam felt lightweight but lacked the cleansing power I desired.
Hydration Heroes
The DEF Hyaluronic Acid Serum proved to be a game-changer in my skincare routine. Its lightweight formula seeped into my skin, instantly plumping and hydrating it. This serum worked wonders in keeping my skin moisturized throughout the day, and I noticed a visible improvement in its texture and elasticity.
However, the GHI Moisturizer fell short of my expectations. Despite its claims of intense hydration, it failed to provide the nourishment my skin craved. The texture felt heavy and left a greasy residue, making it impractical for daytime use.
Makeup Marvels
Onto the realm of makeup products, where I experimented with different brands to find my holy grails. One standout product was the JKL Foundation. Its lightweight formula provided excellent coverage without feeling heavy on the skin. It effortlessly concealed my imperfections and left me with a natural and radiant complexion.
The MNO Mascara, however, left much to be desired. Its formula clumped easily, resulting in spider-like lashes that lacked the desired volume and length. Despite its initial promises, it failed to live up to my expectations.
Before I conclude this journey through my empties, I must mention the PQR Lipstick. This bold and vibrant lipstick instantly transformed my look, adding a touch of sophistication and confidence. Its long-lasting formula with a satin finish made it a go-to choice for any occasion.
Reviewing my empties has been an insightful journey. It has allowed me to identify the products that truly impressed me and those that failed to meet my expectations. Moving forward, I will continue to explore new skincare and makeup products in search of the perfect additions to my beauty routine.
While not all the skincare and makeup products I reviewed were winners, there were definitely some standout favorites. These products have become staples in my beauty routine, and I highly recommend giving them a try. Remember, what works for me may not work for everyone, so I encourage you to do your own research and experiment with different products to find what suits your preferences and needs.
After reviewing all my empties, I have mixed feelings about the products. While I loved the Fenty Beauty Match Stick in the past, the new version no longer works for me due to the shade range. As for the Dior lip glow oil, I fell for the hype but was ultimately disappointed by the scent and color. It’s important to acknowledge when a product no longer suits our needs or preferences, and these two products have reached that point for me. As I continue exploring new skincare and makeup products, I hope to find ones that truly align with my current skin type and tone.
My empties journey has led me to discover some incredible skincare and makeup products. From the Whey anti dandruff shampoo to the Crown Affair Trio, each product has made a positive impact on my hair. The Tatcha Water Cream and Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask have become essential items in my skincare routine. Lastly, the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer and Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer have become holy grail makeup staples. I am excited to continue trying new products and sharing my thoughts on them in the future.
