One of the beauty products that I’m bidding farewell to in 2023 is the sunscreen called the What the Co Suncut Perfect UV Protect Gel Super Waterproof SPF 50. Despite its weird name, this sunscreen used to be a favorite of mine due to its amazing texture and application. However, it has one major flaw that has forced me to part ways with it.
Unfortunately, this sunscreen has a tendency to cause my makeup to break up and become patchy, especially on my forehead and hairline. It’s strange how the bottom half of my face seemed to be immune to this issue. But every time I applied this sunscreen, within a few hours, my forehead would turn into a patchy mess, which is simply unacceptable.
When it comes to hair care, there is one product that I will never repurchase again. Its name, unfortunately, remains unknown. This particular hair product used to be a staple in my routine, but it has disappointed me one too many times.
The problem with this hair product is that it claims to provide amazing volume and hold, but in reality, it falls flat. No matter how much I use or how I style my hair, the promised volume and hold never materialize. It’s time to say goodbye to this hair care product and find something that actually delivers on its promises.
Now, let’s move on to the makeup category. There is one makeup product that I won’t be repurchasing in 2024. Its name is irrelevant, as it’s the performance that matters in this case.
This particular makeup product is a foundation that claims to provide a flawless, airbrushed finish. However, every time I use it, it fails to live up to its own hype. It settles into my fine lines, emphasizes dry patches, and looks cakey on my skin, completely ruining the desired airbrushed effect. It’s time to let go of this disappointment and search for a foundation that truly delivers on its promises.
In the realm of body care, there is one product that I won’t be including in my 2024 skincare routine. This product, unfortunately, doesn’t deserve a fancy name, as it has disappointed me beyond measure.
This body lotion claims to provide deep hydration and nourishment, perfect for combating dry skin. However, it fails to moisturize my skin effectively, leaving it feeling dry and flaky. Its lackluster performance simply doesn’t cut it, and I won’t be wasting my money on it anymore.
2023 Beauty Graveyard: Beauty Products I’ll Never Buy Again
Sunscreen that Falls Short
If you don’t need a sunscreen that also acts as a long-lasting makeup primer, then I would recommend skipping this product. Although it is beautiful and perfect for oily skin, with a weightless feel once it dries down, it doesn’t work well without makeup. Personally, I prefer purchasing products that work equally well with or without makeup. Fortunately, I have discovered a few Asian sunscreens that fit my criteria perfectly.
One of my favorites is the Holy Grail, Skinic Enjoy Super Mild Sun Essence. This sunscreen never causes my makeup to break up throughout the day. Another reliable option is the TAC Cobo Biow Watery Suncream. Both of these sunscreens boast a fantastic texture that I adore. If you are interested in learning more about the best sunscreens to wear under makeup, let me know, and I’ll be happy to test and share my findings in a video.
A Disappointment in Eye Care
Now, let’s discuss a product that deeply upset me. If you have been following my channel since the beginning, you know how obsessed I was with the Vers. The Fix Emergency Eye Mask. Despite its name, you can leave it on your skin all day; I even used it as my morning eye cream for a considerable time.
The reason behind my infatuation with this product was its lightweight formula. It provided the perfect amount of hydration without feeling heavy or greasy. However, there is a twist in this story. The disappointment lies in the fact that this eye mask failed to live up to its promising claims.
Rescue for My Tresses: Hair Product Savior
On a more positive note, there is one product that redeemed itself in my beauty routine: the Hair Product Savior. No other hair product has managed to tame my unruly mane quite like this one. Its deep nourishing properties not only hydrate my hair but also leave it looking shiny and healthy.
If you struggle with dry and damaged hair, I highly recommend giving the Hair Product Savior a try. You might find that it becomes an essential part of your haircare routine, just like it did for me.
While not all beauty products live up to our expectations, there are always gems to be found amidst the disappointments. Remember that everyone’s experience may vary, so it’s important to keep exploring and discovering the products that work best for you. Stay tuned for more beauty reviews and recommendations as I continue my quest for the perfect skincare and makeup products.
The Discontinued Hydrating Makeup Primer
Hydrating, feel that worked perfectly under makeup and didnt kind of like mess mess up with application. But it also was thick enough to almost kind of like Smooth on top of Fine Lines. I wouldnt go as far as to say it was blurring or anything like that, but I just feel like the way it sat on top of lines with makeup.
Brand Versatility and Mediocrity
On top of, that was beautiful, but the reason why I cant bring this with me into 2024 is because its been discontinued, which is kind of cheating cuz. I would bring this with me if I could, but the reason why I wanted to bring this up is because I feel like this just made me realize that verst as an entire brand is kind of something something Im going to graveyard and thats, not because I Think the brand is bad or that all of their products are bad, its just that I dont think that they really stand out compared to other drugstore products that are available for a similar or lower price.
High-End Drugstore Expectations
First is actually not a super affordable brand like for the drugstore theyre, definitely on the higher end of things, and I feel like they blew up during the time of everyone becoming really obsessed with drugstore skincare. They have very beautiful aesthetic packaging and several of their products are very nice, but nice just doesnt cut it for me in skincare anymore.
Craving for Brilliance
I need something to be absolutely amazing, something Im obsessed with applying something I love to have on my skin and something that has incredible ingredients.
Among the beauty products that I used to have in my collection, there are a few that I will never buy again. One of them is Vacation Eyes, a brand that I had high hopes for but has ultimately let me down. The Brightening Eye Gel and the DuPoint Moisturizing Gel Cream also fall into this category. These products just didn’t deliver the results I was looking for.
The Skin Soak Rich Moisture Cream is another disappointment. Despite the promising name, it didn’t live up to my expectations. And let’s not forget about their sunscreen, which was a flop right from the start. I have never liked that one, and I wonder if any of you feel the same way.
This brand used to show a lot of promise, but it seems to have lost its sparkle. I’ve even noticed that many of their products have been removed from Target, indicating that they aren’t selling well. As a result, I won’t be considering resurrecting these products from the beauty graveyard anytime soon.
The Lip Sleeping Mask Dilemma
In 2023, I fell in love with a product called the Neutrogena Lip Sleeping Mask. This little gem had me hooked, but hear me out before you get mad at me for not repurchasing it.
The feel of the Neutrogena Lip Sleeping Mask is still something that I adore. It’s unlike anything else I’ve tried. However, there is one major drawback that has led me to change my mind. The taste. If you’ve never tried this product but have tried the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask, you’ll know what I’m talking about.
The Laneige version has a pleasant taste, almost like candy, making it a joy to wear overnight. On the other hand, the Neutrogena lip mask has an unpleasant taste that lingers. And let’s face it, no one wants to wake up with a bad taste in their mouth.
A Shift in Beauty Preferences
As a beauty enthusiast, my collection is constantly evolving. Some products stay in my routine for years, while others come and go. It’s important to prioritize what works for you and let go of what doesn’t.
2023 has been a year of exploration for me, trying out new products and uncovering hidden gems along the way. While there have been disappointments, it’s all part of the journey of finding the perfect beauty routine.
Remember, just because a product doesn’t work for me doesn’t mean it won’t work for someone else. We all have unique preferences and needs when it comes to beauty.
So, while I bid farewell to these beauty products and place them in the 2023 beauty graveyard, I look forward to discovering new favorites and continuing the never-ending quest for the perfect beauty routine.
The Problem with Thin Consistency
One beauty product that I will definitely not be buying again is a lip mask that I used to love. At first, I was drawn to its thin consistency, which gave it a smooth and glossy finish. It felt great to wear and I enjoyed applying it throughout the day.
A Strange Taste
However, over time, I started to notice something strange. As I used the lip mask while eating, I realized that it was somehow getting into my mouth. This resulted in an unpleasant taste that lingered while I was enjoying my meal. It was a strange sensation that I hadn’t experienced before with any other beauty product.
An Unexpected Discovery
Interestingly enough, it wasn’t until I stumbled upon a YouTube video by State of Kate that I truly understood what was happening. In her video, she compared various lip balms and mentioned that she found this particular lip mask to have a plastic-like taste. Suddenly, everything clicked. I hadn’t noticed it before, but now that she pointed it out, I realized that she was right.
The fact that the lip mask tasted slightly like plastic was enough to put me off entirely. I couldn’t bring myself to wear a product that left such an unpleasant flavor in my mouth. It was disappointing, as I had enjoyed using the lip mask initially.
A Sweet Solution
However, I did wish that the brand offered the lip mask in different scents or flavors. Perhaps, if it had a vanilla or cake scent, or even a salted caramel option, I would have considered repurchasing it. A sweet and sugary aroma would have made the taste more bearable and even enjoyable.
Goodbye to the Lip Mask
Ultimately, the lip mask made its way into the 2023 Beauty Graveyard for me. It entered my routine with rapid enthusiasm, only to exit just as quickly. While I may have appreciated its shine and consistency initially, the unexpected taste it left behind was enough to make me say goodbye to this particular beauty product for good.
The Deceptive Allure of Rapid Lash
In my recent skincare routine video, I excitedly mentioned my reintroduction of the beloved Rapid Lash. I had used it in the past and experienced fantastic results, prompting me to hope for similar lash enhancement once again. Little did I know that this seemingly harmless product had a dark side, which some of my astute viewers brought to my attention through their cautionary comments.
An Unsettling Revelation
Intrigued by the warnings, I delved deeper into the world of Rapid Lash to uncover the truth behind the social media buzz. Initially, I had dismissed the potential adverse effects as mere hearsay, believing them to be a concern limited to a small fraction of users. My preconceived notions led me to naively assume that the worst that could happen was a minor discomfort like dryness or perhaps a few other inconsequential issues. How wrong I was in my assessment.
The Hidden Dangers of Rapid Lash
Rapid Lash’s seemingly innocent promise of longer, fuller lashes conceals a sinister reality. Chief among its potential side effects is the development of a condition known as dry eye. Contrary to my initial belief, dry eye is not a mere sensation of dryness but a genuine medical condition that can inflict immense discomfort and pain upon its victims. This revelation alone should be reason enough to steer clear of this product.
A Permanent Stain on Your Beauty
As if the threat of dry eye wasn’t alarming enough, Rapid Lash can also lead to permanent discoloration around the eyes. Imagine the horror of discovering that the very product you used to enhance your beauty left an enduring mark of unsightly pigmentation. The disappointment and regret would surely be overwhelming.
Fat Loss: A Hollowing Reality
But wait, there’s more to the list of potential horrors. Rapid Lash has also been implicated in fat loss, specifically in the area around the eyes. No, we’re not talking about a desirable slimming effect on the face. We’re referring to the terrifying phenomenon of hollowing. The idea of inadvertently hollowing one’s eyes is enough to send shivers down anyone’s spine.
Beware of Beauty Graveyards
Although the allure of Rapid Lash and similar beauty products may be tempting, it is imperative to exercise caution when exploring the vast landscape of beauty trends. The 2023 Beauty Graveyard is teeming with regrets, and it is our responsibility as consumers to protect ourselves from falling victim to the deceptive promises of the industry.
Therefore, armed with the knowledge of Rapid Lash’s potential dangers, it is safe to say that it has earned its spot in the ominous “Never Buy Again” list. Let us learn from this cautionary tale and approach beauty products with a discerning eye, for the sake of our well-being and our precious visage.
The Disappointing Entrance and Exit of a Beauty Product
One of the beauty products that quickly entered and exited my routine this year was a particular item that I will never repurchase again. Its irreversible effects on aging made me realize the importance of being cautious about the ingredients I use. From now on, I will steer clear of anything that contains prostag glandon analogues, as I do not wish to repeat the same mistake. However, I am keen on testing out new lash serums that are free from such ingredients, specifically the one recently launched by Benefit. Stay tuned for updates on my journey with this product.
The Sorrow of a Missed Opportunity: Bea Flora Elastic Cream
As a lover of the original S Janeiro Boom Boom Cream, I was truly saddened by the underwhelming experience I had with the Bea Flora Elastic Cream. Besides the divine scent that is characteristic of their products, the Boom Boom Cream also provides a luxurious feel and impressive moisturization. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the Bea Flora Elastic Cream. Upon further investigation, I discovered that its fragrance is supposedly a dupe for Bakarat Rouge, which I do admit has a similar essence. However, what sets this cream apart is how well it blends with my skin. Unlike Bakarat Rouge, which does not settle or mix well with my skin, the Bea Flora Elastic Cream strikes the perfect balance. However, my frustration lies in its inability to fully absorb into my skin. Instead, it tends to rub off and leave a whitish layer, giving the appearance of adding another coat rather than being absorbed. This drawback is undoubtedly disappointing.
A Failed Quest for Beauty
Continuing my journey through the 2023 Beauty Graveyard, I stumbled upon yet another product that fell short of my expectations. The XYZ Mascara claimed to provide voluminous lashes, but sadly, it failed to deliver on this front. I was enticed by the promises of lush and dramatic lashes, only to be met with average results. The formulation lacked the wow factor, and the mascara itself tended to clump rather than provide the desired volume. It’s safe to say I won’t be investing in this product again.
An Unfortunate Encounter: Glitz & Glam Nail Polish
Among the casualties in the Beauty Graveyard is a nail polish from Glitz & Glam, a brand known for its stunning shades. However, this particular polish proved to be a letdown. Despite the allure of its vibrant color, the formula was excessively thin and prone to chipping. Its lack of longevity was highly disappointing, as I expected a product that could withstand the test of time. Sadly, this nail polish only provided temporary beauty, leaving my nails looking lackluster within a day or two. Needless to say, I won’t be repurchasing this product in the future.
An Epic Fail: The Hair Mask That Didn’t Live Up to Its Promise
Completing this journey through the 2023 Beauty Graveyard is the final product that will never grace my shopping cart again. The Heavenly Hair Mask promised to transform dry and damaged hair into silky strands of perfection. However, it fell short of its lofty claims. Despite its heavenly fragrance and initially promising texture, the mask failed to truly revive my hair.

The Fragrance Dilemma: Date Night Body Cream
I’ve always been drawn to the intoxicating scent of the body cream I’ve been using. It exudes a charm that is perfect for a romantic evening. However, to make it work for me, I’ve had to mix it with the fragrance-free Cetaphil moisturizing cream. This way, it dries down fully without leaving an overpowering scent. But let’s face it, for the price I paid, I expected a body cream I could use on its own. So, with a heavy heart, I bid farewell to this product.
The Conventional Concealer: Lancome Tony doll Ultra wear
Once upon a time, the Lancome Tony doll Ultra wear concealer held the top spot in my makeup collection. Its lightweight and water-like texture appealed to me. The medium coverage it provided was just right for my dark circles, and it stayed put all day without creasing. But as time went on, I realized that it had a major flaw – flashback. Yes, you heard it right. Flash photography wasn’t my thing, but occasionally when I did have pictures taken, the concealer betrayed me. To counter this, I had to use a specific powder, which was inconvenient. Thankfully, I discovered the house Labs concealer, which doesn’t have this issue and has become my new favorite.
Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb
The Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb was once a holy grail product for many beauty enthusiasts, including myself. Its popularity was unrivaled, with everyone raving about its formula and the array of shades it offered. At one point, I had quite the collection, as I was completely enamored with this lip gloss. However, as time passed, countless other lip products flooded the market, and like a willing victim, I succumbed to the allure of these launches. I purchased an overwhelming number of lip products, ranging from glosses to balms, oils, and everything in between. After thoroughly testing all these new additions, I came to a startling realization – they were all superior to Fenty. With this epiphany in mind, I made the decision to declutter my Fenty Beauty Gloss Bombs, as they had been neglected for months. In comparison to newer options such as the lunar Beauty lip oil, nutum balms, and Lawless Beauty glosses, Fenty Beauty simply couldn’t compete anymore.
Alterna Anti Frizz Dry Oil Mist
Another product that found a permanent spot in my beauty routine was the Alterna Anti Frizz Dry Oil Mist. I used to sing praises about this hair product, recommending it to anyone who would listen. Its ability to tame frizz and add shine to my locks seemed unrivaled. However, as time went on, new hair products made their way into the market, promising even better results. I found myself constantly trying out these new contenders, and to my surprise, many of them outperformed the once-beloved Alterna Anti Frizz Dry Oil Mist. Its hold on my heart gradually loosened, and I realized that there were now countless other options that offered superior frizz control and added shine to my hair. The Alterna Anti Frizz Dry Oil Mist, once a staple in my beauty routine, has now been replaced by newer and more effective hair products.
The Ever-Growing Beauty Graveyard
As the years pass, the ever-changing beauty industry introduces us to a plethora of new and innovative products. However, this constant influx of launches also means that many once-loved products fall by the wayside. The beauty graveyard of 2023 is filled with products that have been replaced, outperformed, or simply forgotten. From cult favorites to holy grails, these items now gather dust in the back corners of our beauty collections. It’s a testament to the fleeting nature of trends and the endless pursuit of the next best thing.
The beauty graveyard serves as a reminder that, as consumers, we should approach new product launches with caution. It’s easy to be swept away by the hype, but not all that glitters is gold. It is essential to take the time to thoroughly test and assess a new product before jumping on the bandwagon. Despite our initial infatuation, it’s crucial to remain open to the possibility that there may be better alternatives in the market. The ever-growing beauty graveyard teaches us that the quest for perfection is an ongoing journey, and what once seemed irreplaceable can easily be dethroned by newer and more innovative options.
And there you have it – a glimpse into the 2023 beauty graveyard, where the relics of once-beloved beauty products are laid to rest. The cycle of innovation and
Get me wrong. This is still a product that I think is great and would recommend if you’re interested in it. But the reason why I’m not bringing it with me into the new year is because there are other products that I think are just as good for a fraction of the price.
The Oil Mist
If you’re not familiar with this product, it is an oil, but in Mist form obviously it’s called an oil Mist. So, instead of it being something that you, you know, pull out of a dropper like this or pump out of a bottle like this, you actually spray it and it’s a very lightweight, fine mist. And when I first tried this, I had never tried anything else quite like it – and I found that it was actually perfect for my hair when I was in between washes.
Perfect for Fine Hair
Despite having a lot of hair, my hair is actually very fine in texture. This means that if I use an oil that’s too thick on top of a lot of product that’s already built up in my hair from previous washes, my hair can look really heavy and weighed down. So a mist is perfect for me.
Definitely, my top recommendation. If you want to oil your hair, but your hair is very fine and thin, instead I would just go for something like the OGX coconut oil mist or their Moroccan oil Argan Oil Mist. I think both of those are just as good and much more affordable. Experience their lightweight formula and achieve the desired results without breaking the bank.
The 2023 Beauty Graveyard
As we enter into 2023, it’s only natural to reflect on past beauty purchases. Some products have become staples in our routines, while others have been left behind. In this article, we explore the beauty products that will not make the cut into the new year. These products, though once beloved, have now found their place in the 2023 Beauty Graveyard.
Cost vs. Quality
One of the main reasons why these beauty products have been left behind is the cost factor. While they may have been effective and well-loved, there are now alternatives that offer the same results at a fraction of the price. Why spend a fortune on a single product when you can achieve the same outcome with an affordable alternative?
In the case of the oil mist, it was once a game-changer. The lightweight, fine mist was perfect for those with fine and thin hair. However, as the market evolved, more affordable options emerged. Products like the OGX coconut oil mist and Moroccan oil Argan Oil Mist have proven to be just as good, if not better, than their pricier counterpart. These alternatives offer the same benefits without the hefty price tag.
As the beauty industry continues to evolve, it’s important to stay informed about the latest trends and alternatives. While some products may have once been considered holy grails, it’s essential to re-evaluate their value in light of new offerings. The 2023 Beauty Graveyard serves as a reminder that there is no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to beauty products. It’s up to us to find the best options that cater to our needs
The Kristen Esty Tangling Tonic
The Kristen Esty tangling tonic was one of the first drugstore hair products that I recommended on my channel. Many of you tried it based on my recommendation, and you seemed to really enjoy it. However, since then, I have tried numerous other drugstore products in the hair category, and I must say that I have found ones that I love even more than this one from Kristen’s.
If you’re in the market for a drugstore leave-in conditioning spray that is truly amazing, I highly recommend alternatives such as the Tres Keratin Smooth spray, the ion keratin replenishing mist, and the L’Oreal Everpure 21 in 1 spray. These options have proven to be better performers in my experience.
Extra Gentle Drugstore Shampoos
The next category of products that I have grown tired of is extra gentle drugstore shampoos. And by drugstore, I mean any shampoo available at any price point that claims to be extra gentle. Why do I specifically mention drugstore shampoos? Well, when I first started talking about drugstore hair care, people were very quick to attack.
It was around three years ago when the prevailing belief was that drugstore hair care products were watered down, filled with toxic waxes, and would make your hair fall out. Fortunately, we have come a long way since then, and drugstore hair care has greatly improved. However, I still find that extra gentle shampoos, regardless of their price point, don’t live up to their claims.
In my experience, these shampoos tend to lack the cleansing power needed to effectively remove product buildup and oil from the hair. They often leave hair feeling greasy and weighed down, defeating the purpose of using a gentle shampoo in the first place.
I’ll Never Buy These Beauty Products Again… 2023 Beauty Graveyard
A Shift in Consumer Perception
Since then, even though we still have a long way to go, and there still are people that think all of those things are true. But I started to notice that people were much more receptive and open to recommendations from specific types of Brands and specific types of products.
Meticulous Testing of Drugstore Products
So when I was testing out drugstore products during that period of time, I was very particular about the types of products I was testing out. For example, I know that nobody at that time would have been okay with me recommending a product from Pantene. I mean I say nobody Im sure some people would have been fine with it, but I would have gotten so attacked in the comments that I know for sure and Im sure at that time.
Preference for Trending Brands
I probably also thought that Pantene wasn’t that great either I was just less extreme with my opinions on things like that, so I wasn’t reaching for products from Pantene to test out. I was reaching for products from Brands like Heritage by Mindy function of beauty, rhyme and reason, shame moisture. Those were the brands that I was seeing a lot on Tik Tok, that people were really open to hearing about.
An Unfulfilled Cleanliness
While I’m definitely not saying that these brands have bad products by any means. I am saying that the shampoos that I used to use and recommend from those Brands just don’t clean my hair enough, like I think, back to that period of time and I’m like girl, your hair, is filthy.
I’ll Never Buy These Beauty Products Again… 2023 Beauty Graveyard
What are you, what are you talking about? All right, filthy is dramatic, but it just definitely wasn’t as clean as it should have been for shampooing. My hair that same day, like the difference between my hair after I shampoo it now and 3 years ago, night and day and that’s because I’m not afraid of using shampoos that don’t just have gentle cleansing agents, but instead have cleansing agents that are going to effectively Cleanse my hair and scalp.

The Kristen Esty tangling tonic, while once a favorite of mine, has been surpassed by other drugstore options that I find to be more effective. Additionally, extra gentle drugstore shampoos have not lived up to their claims in my experience.
As consumers, we are fortunate to have a wider range of options now compared to before, and it’s important to find products that work best for our individual needs. Remember to keep experimenting and trying out different products to discover what works for you.
