We Need to Discuss the BEAUTY EMPTIES + HOLY GRAIL products I’ve Used Up | 2024

We Need to Discuss the BEAUTY EMPTIES + HOLY GRAIL products I’ve Used Up | 2024

The Beauty Empties: Makeup Products

Let’s start with some makeup products that I have emptied recently. One of the standout items is the London Super Fake Mascara. It was a new addition to my collection in 2023, and I instantly fell in love with it. I was so impressed that I even have a backup tube on my vanity. This mascara not only volumizes and lengthens my lashes, but it also doesn’t flake or smudge throughout the day. The best part? It’s a drugstore find! So, you get great quality at an affordable price. This mascara has become a staple in my makeup routine, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and budget-friendly option.

The Holy Grail: Pat McGrath Under Eye Setting Powder

Next up, we have the Pat McGrath Under Eye Setting Powder in the lightest shade. This product has truly become a Holy Grail for me. The light, translucent shade may appear white in the jar, but it blends seamlessly onto the skin without leaving any obvious white cast. I have repurchased this powder multiple times because it sets my under eye area beautifully, preventing creasing and extending the longevity of my concealer. It’s a must-have for anyone with under eye concerns, and I can’t recommend it enough.

Discovering Hidden Gems: Consistent Purchases

Within my beauty empties, there are also a few consistent purchases that have remained Holy Grail products for me. These are the products that I keep going back to, no matter how many new options hit the market. They have proven their worth time and time again, and I simply can’t imagine my beauty routine without them.

Kastas Fresh Affair Dry Shampoo

Kastas Fresh Affair Refreshing Dry Shampoo is a product that I have been using for quite some time now. It has become a staple in my beauty routine, especially on those days when I don’t have time to wash my hair. The scent of this dry shampoo is delightful it smells really, really good. It contains vitamin E and rice starch, which help to absorb excess oil and refresh the hair. I find that it works well for all hair types and leaves my hair feeling clean and revived.

Eva NYC Freshen Up Invisible Dry Shampoo

Another dry shampoo that I have used up is the Eva NYC Freshen Up Invisible Dry Shampoo. I purchased this product from either Target or Ulta, and I must say, it did not disappoint. Like the Kastas dry shampoo, this one also contains rice starch, which effectively absorbs oil and revitalizes the hair. Additionally, it is infused with argan oil, which adds moisture and nourishment to the hair. I appreciate that this dry shampoo is invisible, as it doesn’t leave any white residue or powdery texture on my hair. It is a reliable option for refreshing my hair between washes.

No-Fail Under Eye Powder

When it comes to my under-eye area, I have always struggled to find the perfect powder. As someone with dry under eyes, I need a powder that won’t exacerbate any texture or fine lines. That’s why I have fallen in love with a certain under eye powder that I have been using consistently. It is sheer and doesn’t emphasize any of my problem areas. I have tried other powders in the past, and while some have performed well, this one is my go-to. A little bit of this powder goes a long way, and because it is so sheer, it never looks powdery on the skin. I also appreciate its compact size, which makes it ideal for travel. Whenever there is a sale, I make sure to pick up an extra one so that I never have to be without it.

Living Proof: Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo

When it comes to dry shampoo, Living Proof’s Perfect Hair Day has been a staple in my beauty routine for quite some time. I’ve mentioned it numerous times in previous videos and I’ve always raved about how incredible it smells. However, I recently tried another brand that changed my perspective on Living Proof’s dry shampoo.

The Eva NYC dry shampoo was the one I tried and although I initially loved its divine scent, it didn’t perform as well as my Holy Grail product. It didn’t effectively absorb oil and greasiness throughout the day, so I never thought I would repurchase it again.

But things changed when I finished the can of Eva NYC dry shampoo. I realized that although it may not keep my hair oil-free throughout the day, it serves a different purpose for me. I started using it as a preventative measure. On nights when I shower before bed, I spray a little bit of this dry shampoo in my hair to prevent greasy roots in the morning.

And I must say, it does the job perfectly. When I wake up, my hair doesn’t have any greasiness or residue, and it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. It has become my go-to preventative dry shampoo of choice.

The reason why I still find myself reaching for Living Proof’s Perfect Hair Day despite this newfound alternative is its overall performance. It keeps my hair remarkably grease-free, making it my Holy Grail product.

Kosu Dry Shampoo

Another popular brand in the dry shampoo market is Kosu. Many people rave about how great it is, but it didn’t quite live up to my expectations.

Like the Eva NYC dry shampoo, Kosu also has a lovely scent that I enjoy. However, when it comes to keeping my hair grease-free, it falls short compared to my Holy Grail product, Living Proof. It simply doesn’t have the same longevity in preventing oil and greasiness.

While I understand why Kosu has garnered a loyal following, especially due to its fragrance, I personally prioritize effectiveness over scent. For me, Living Proof’s Perfect Hair Day dry shampoo continues to be the superior choice.

The Beauty Empties + Holy Grail discussion for 2024 has revealed some interesting revelations about dry shampoo. While alternatives like Eva NYC and Kosu may have their merits, they don’t quite measure up to the performance of Living Proof’s Perfect Hair Day. Its ability to keep my hair oil-free throughout the day ultimately makes it my go-to and Holy Grail product.

Living Proof Dry Shampoo

Living Proof Dry Shampoo is a game-changer when it comes to hair care. Not only does it effectively clean your hair, but it also absorbs odors, greasiness, and dirt without stripping away the shine. Unlike other dry shampoos, it doesn’t leave your hair looking dull or gray. In fact, it even adds a bit of volume, giving your hair a refreshed and revitalized appearance. When I use this dry shampoo, I feel like I’m actually cleaning my hair rather than just coating it with another product. It also allows me to go longer between washes, making it a holy grail product in my hair care routine.

Pharmacy Cleansing Balms

I have recently used up two of the Pharmacy cleansing balms – Strawberry Shortcake and Sweet Apple. Both of these scents were enjoyable and added a pleasant touch to my skincare routine. The original Pharmacy makeup cleansing balm is already a favorite of mine, and I’m currently using it in my bathroom. While I did enjoy the scents, I wouldn’t go out of my way to purchase them over the original version.

However, I do have a preference for the original and scented versions over the unscented one. The unscented balm doesn’t rinse away as easily and leaves a film on the skin. On the other hand, both the original and scented versions rinse away cleanly, which is a crucial factor for me when it comes to cleansing balms. This is why I love the Pharmacy makeup Melt Away cleansing balm – it effectively removes all my makeup, including waterproof products, without causing any stinging or irritation to my sensitive eyes. Additionally, the scents of their cleansing balms are refreshing and add to the overall experience of using the product.

The Living Proof Dry Shampoo and Pharmacy cleansing balms have become holy grail products for me in 2024. They not only deliver great results but also provide a pleasant and enjoyable experience. These empty bottles have only solidified my love for these products, and I highly recommend giving them a try if you haven’t already.

M61 Power Glow Pro Plus Cleanse

The M61 Power Glow Pro Plus Cleanse is an anti-aging cleanser that promises to brighten and retexturize the skin. It contains nicomide, neuropeptides, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, and lactic acid. The cleanser also features biodegradable hoba beads and has a soft minty scent. While I used up this cleanser, I can’t say it was my favorite. It didn’t live up to my expectations, unlike my beloved Tatcha Rice Wash. I realized that when it comes to exfoliating cleansers, I prefer the grit to be very fine. The M61 Power Glow had a slippy texture with intermittent granules, which didn’t give me the satisfying scrubbing sensation I love. Although my skin felt good after using it, I didn’t enjoy the overall experience. Therefore, I won’t be repurchasing this cleanser.

Skinfix Eczema Plus Hand Repair Cream

On the other hand, the Skinfix Eczema Plus Hand Repair Cream is one of my favorite hand creams. Although I haven’t repurchased it yet because I have other hand creams to finish first, I will definitely buy it again once I run out. This hand cream is a true lifesaver for dry, irritated hands. It not only moisturizes but also soothes and repairs the skin. With its rich formula, it provides long-lasting hydration without feeling greasy or heavy. Whether you have eczema or just need an extra dose of moisture, this hand cream is a must-have. I highly recommend it and it has become a holy grail product for me.

The Perfect Hand Cream

I am very particular about hand creams – they need to moisturize thoroughly without leaving my hands sticky or greasy. That’s why I’m thrilled to have found this gem that not only meets my criteria but also provides additional benefits. The unscented formula is a bonus for those who are sensitive to fragrances. The ingredients in this hand cream are truly remarkable.

According to the packaging, it is clinically proven to help treat eczema and dry cracked skin on hands. It also claims to improve skin moisturization by up to 111%. This is a testament to the brand’s dedication to enhancing your skin barrier health. With so many disappointments in the past, I can confidently say that this hand cream is now one of my favorites.

The Miracle Humidity Shield

If you’re someone who struggles with frizz, then you understand the struggle of finding the right product to combat it. Living in New Orleans, which is known as the humidity capital, I know firsthand the frustration of dealing with frizzy hair. That’s why I can’t help but mourn the loss of this incredible product.

The Living Proof humidity Shield was the ultimate solution for fighting frizz. Unlike typical hairsprays that provide hold, this product offered an invisible shield against humidity. It was like magic in a bottle. Not only did it protect my hair from becoming a frizzy mess, but it also added a touch of shine without making my hair fall flat.

Unfortunately, it seems that this product has been discontinued, leaving many of us in a state of despair. There simply isn’t anything else on the market quite like it. I’ve searched high and low for a suitable substitute, but to no avail. Perhaps there is a glimmer of hope with a new release in the future, but for now, we must bid farewell to this holy grail humidity shield.

Body Moisturizer: Userin Advanced Repair Lotion

This is a fantastic drugstore moisturizer. It comes in a nice big bottle and I absolutely loved it. I first mentioned it in an Amazon video last year and referenced it again in my last Amazon video. Currently, I am using a curell body lotion that I also love, but it has a completely different texture. I will provide the links to both those videos down below and in a card.

The Userin Advanced Repair Lotion is designed to strengthen your skin’s moisture barrier. As someone with very dry body skin that tends to get ashy, finding the right products is crucial. This lotion does an excellent job at moisturizing without feeling heavy or sticky. It has a light texture, which I appreciate. The label claims it provides immediate and 48-hour moisture. It contains camide 3 and natural moisturizing factors and is fragrance-free.

While I do enjoy using high-end, bougie body moisturizers, they can be quite pricey, especially when you need to apply them to your entire body. That’s why I like having drugstore options like this on hand. I use them in between using my high-end products to make them last longer. Sometimes, I solely rely on these drugstore lotions for a while. If you have dry body skin like I do, I highly recommend trying out Userin Advanced Repair Lotion.

Glow Recipe Products: Watermelon Glow Pink Dream Body Cream, Plum Plump Hyaluronic Cream, Pomegranate Peptide Firming Serum

Next, let’s discuss three Glow Recipe products that I recently finished. First up, we have the Watermelon Glow Pink Dream Body Cream. As someone who loves body lotions, this product caught my attention. The watermelon scent is refreshing, and the cream itself is luxurious. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and soft. If you enjoy fruity scents and want a body cream that delivers moisture, give this one a try.

The Plum Plump Hyaluronic Cream is a face product that I’ve previously shared. It’s a fantastic moisturizer that deeply hydrates the skin. The texture is lightweight, which makes it comfortable to wear throughout the day. This cream contains hyaluronic acid to plump and hydrate the skin, leaving it looking fresh and revitalized.

Lastly, we have the Pomegranate Peptide Firming Serum. This serum is a great addition to any skincare routine, especially if you’re looking to target signs of aging. It helps firm and tighten the skin, giving it a more youthful appearance. The pomegranate and peptides work together to nourish and improve overall skin texture. I’ve seen noticeable differences in my skin since incorporating this serum into my routine.

Overall, I highly recommend these Glow Recipe products if you’re looking for effective skincare options. The brand consistently delivers high-quality products that live up to their claims. Whether you’re in need of a body cream or a face serum, Glow Recipe has got you covered.

The Peptide Serum

Recently, I have been delving into skincare videos and anti-aging content. One of the videos I came across discusses alternatives to Botox and fillers. In another video, the content creator shares her extensive skincare routine and speaks in detail about a particular product. This product is a peptide serum with a lightweight, lotion-like texture. I am amazed at how effortlessly it absorbs into the skin. Even with my sensitive skin, it has been a great addition to my makeup routine. Although I am currently using a different peptide serum, I find myself secretly wishing I had the previous one. However, I am trying to utilize the products already in my stash before repurchasing, as they are also effective and suitable for my skin. Nevertheless, my heart still longs for the amazing effects of this wonderful peptide serum.

The Plump Plump Hyaluronic Cream

Another product that has worked wonders for my sensitive, combination skin with rosacea is the Plump Plump Hyaluronic Cream. While I tend to get a shine in my T-zone, this cream has helped combat that issue. I personally prefer using it at night, but for those with normal to dry skin, it would work well as a day and night cream. Despite its light gel-cream consistency, it absorbs effortlessly into the skin, providing deep hydration. What I truly love about this cream is how it leaves my skin looking plump and hydrated without any heaviness or greasiness. Additionally, the cream contains some incredible ingredients that my skin seems to adore.

The Watermelon Glow Pink Dream Body

Lastly, let’s talk about the Watermelon Glow Pink Dream Body.

Glow Recipe Cream: A Hidden Gem

Cream is kind of a sleeper hit for Glow Recipe. The ratings are really good for this. This was very creamy, very smooth, and it has aha from hibiscus and hyaluronic acid, along with some other nice ingredients. It has a really light, creamy watermelon scent that somehow manages to be refreshing. The texture is silky and smooth, leaving my skin feeling incredibly nice. It exfoliates and hydrates at the same time, making it a great all-in-one product.

A Gift for Yourself or Others

I have not repurchased this because I’m currently using up some other products first, as is the nature of the beauty world. But I would definitely consider giving this as a gift. If you want to treat yourself or a loved one, this body lotion is a great option. It’s not only effective but also a delight to use.

Origins Retexturizing Mask: A Holy Grail

I finally finished my backup of Origins’ original skin retexturizing mask with rose clay in the old packaging. I had a full new bottle when they launched the new packaging, so I wanted to finish the old one first. This mask has been one of my holy grails for a long time. It’s possibly the best clay mask I’ve ever used.

Effective and Nourishing

Unlike most clay masks that tend to dry out the skin, this one doesn’t. It clears and refines my skin, leaving it looking brighter and more energized. I always notice a difference the morning after using it. Even after using it for so many years, my skin has never dried out. It’s truly a lovely product that has become a staple in my skincare routine.

BEAUTY EMPTIES: Lola V Glossing Detangler

It takes me a while to use one of these up because I’m using different masks all the time but it’s. Finally, in my empties Lola V glossing detangler. We have another hair product here. I repurchased this as soon as it started running low and it wasn’t spraying.

Quite this same prior to this, I wasn’t using a detangler, because I really just didn’t feel the need, but now that I’m using it, I can tell when I skip this. My hair obviously does not brush out as easily and it’s just not as manageable. So this is not just a detangler; it also primes your hair with a thermal shield. It enhances shine, smooths and protects it. It just does a lot of good for my hair. Anyway, I use this with other low products and I’ve just really been enjoying them.

I keep talking about hair products, and I’m having one of the worst hair days I’ve had in a long time. You win some, you lose some, but I know what I like. You know. Usually, in these empties videos, there are a lot of great products that really work out for me because that’s usually what I go through, with a few exceptions, of course.

HOLY GRAIL: Indie Lee Co, Enzyme Q10 Toner with Aloe and Hyaluronic Acid

So next up we have Indie Lee Co, enzyme Q10 toner with aloe and hyaluronic acid. This is an alcohol-free toner that’s very soothing and refreshing. I spray this either directly onto my face and chest area in the morning after I cleanse, or I spray it onto a cotton round and swipe it on. It’s soothing, refreshing, and hydrating, but it doesn’t make me so hydrated that it exacerbates oil production or anything like that during the day. It’s just the perfect level of everything – and I love the way it smells. It’s got…

The Beauty Empties: A Pleasure to Use

A nice refreshing scent to it, it’s just a pleasure to use. Its in a lovely glass bottle. I did repurchase this as soon as this ran out. This was a must-have I’ve become, I feel, like almost dependent on it.

The Longest Period of Consistency

I just love that experience in the morning. I feel like this is the longest period of time I’ve been using one consistent shampoo and conditioner without rotating another one in to take its place for a period of time.

Bioio for Density

This is bioio destined for density, caffeine and biotin. Peptide density shampoo, the conditioner, is still in my shower going strong. I use more shampoo than conditioner on my fine hair and I do have the new shampoo going in there right now that I replaced this with now.

Stimulating the Scalp

This has the ingredients that I stated up front, but it also has copper, peptides, zinc, vitamin E and green coffee oil to stimulate the scalp and to support healthier, fuller, thicker, looking hair. And since I’ve been using this, I just feel like normally my hair looks nice and full.

A Perfect Balance

Looking a lot of times, volumizing shampoos and conditioners can dry out the lengths of your hair and shampoos and conditioners that give you shine can weigh your hair down. I feel like this gives me that perfect balance.

Minimizing Shedding and Thinning

I’ve really been trying to use products or focus on hair products that stimulate the scalp to minimize shedding and thinning. And I was looking really thin at my part for a while. And this is one of the things that I incorporated, that has really helped.

Lightweight and Residue-Free

It’s lightweight, there’s no residue, and I just really like it. So I’m continuing to use it.

We Need to Discuss the BEAUTY EMPTIES + HOLY GRAIL products Ive Used Up | 2024

Rotating beauty products in and out of my routine is a common practice, but there’s one product that has stood the test of time. It has become a staple in my beauty routine, and I can’t imagine my skincare arsenal without it. Today, I want to talk about the beauty empties and holy grail products I’ve used up in 2024.

The Value of Empties Videos

Empties videos have been a popular trend for years, and for good reason. They provide a valuable insight into the products that beauty enthusiasts actually finish and repurchase. But do you find them helpful? Do you enjoy watching them every few months to see what products stay and what products go?

Personally, I find empties videos to be incredibly insightful. They give me an opportunity to hear honest reviews from people who have actually used up the entire product. It’s one thing to read a first impression review, but it’s another to hear thoughts from someone who has experienced the long-term effects and benefits of a product.

Holy Grail Skincare Products

Now, let’s dive into the holy grail products that have made their way into my beauty empties bin. These are the products that I can’t imagine my skincare routine without, the ones that consistently deliver results.

1. Moisturizer X

Moisturizer X has become my go-to daytime moisturizer. Its lightweight formula provides the perfect amount of hydration without leaving my skin feeling greasy. I love how it absorbs quickly, making it easy to layer makeup on top. This is definitely a repurchase for me.

2. Serum Y

Serum Y has completely transformed my skin. Its potent blend of antioxidants and hyaluronic acid has helped to improve the overall texture and appearance of my complexion. I’ve already repurchased this serum multiple times and can’t recommend it enough.

Trying New Things

While there are products I can’t let go of, I’m always on the lookout for new additions to my skincare routine. I love testing out new products and discovering hidden gems that may become future holy grails.

Currently, I am experimenting with some new products, including a range of foundations and concealers. I can’t wait to share my findings with you in the near future. Stay tuned for an upcoming foundation round-up, where I’ll be discussing the latest formulas and shades I’ve been testing.
