Violette_FR Bisou Blush

The VioletteFR Bisou Blush has been highly anticipated by many, myself included. I had it on my wishlist for a year, eagerly waiting for its release. This matte cream blush is designed to effortlessly melt into the skin, creating a natural and fresh-faced flush.

When I finally got my hands on it, I couldn’t help but admire the beautiful swirled marble effect. Violette used marbled pigments, one sheer and balmy, and the other more pigmented, to mimic the multi-dimensional flush of a real blush. The result is truly stunning and adds an artistic touch to the product.

Violette drew inspiration from her time at art school, specifically studying Italian Renaissance paintings and their undetectable blending techniques. It’s intriguing to see how she incorporates her artistic background into her makeup creations. This is something I’ve also noticed in Lisa Eldridge’s toolbox of techniques.

The VioletteFR Bisou Blush comes in three shades, and I was immediately drawn to “Louise.” This shade, named after Violette’s best friend and actress Louise Monot, is a neutral tender beige with a touch of pink. The matte balmy texture of the blush blends seamlessly and almost disappears into the skin, especially in this subtle shade.

Comparisons with Violette’s Original Formulas

Now, let’s take a moment to compare the new VioletteFR Bisou Blush with some of Violette’s original formulas. It’s always interesting to see how a brand evolves and improves over time.

The first noticeable difference is the texture. While the original formulas had a slightly more creamy consistency, the Bisou Blush has a matte balmy texture that provides a more natural finish. It feels lightweight on the skin and doesn’t leave a heavy or greasy feeling.

In terms of pigmentation, the original formulas were already impressive, but the Bisou Blush takes it to another level. The marbled pigments used in this new blush create a multi-dimensional effect that gives the cheeks a youthful and healthy glow.

Another improvement is the blendability of the Bisou Blush. It effortlessly melts into the skin and blends seamlessly with other makeup products. Whether you prefer a subtle flush or a more intense pop of color, this blush allows you to create the desired effect with ease.

Violette’s Influence on the Makeup Industry

Violette is not the only makeup artist who has transitioned into creating her own products. We’ve seen this trend with Lisa Eldridge, Katie Jane Hughes, Nikki DeRoest, and many others. It’s exciting to see these talented artists share their expertise and creativity through their own brands.

Violette’s style perfectly encapsulates a balance between a fresh-faced look and playful pops of color. Her products, like the VioletteFR Bisou Blush, reflect this aesthetic and allow makeup enthusiasts to achieve that effortless French-girl glow.

As the Violette_FR range continues to expand, I am eagerly anticipating what other innovative creations she has in store for us. It’s clear that her artistic background and attention to detail shine through in every product she releases.

Violette_FR Updated Review: New Blush and Lip Formulas

I recently had the opportunity to try out the new blush and lip formulas from Violette_FR, and I must say, I am quite impressed. The brand has introduced some exciting updates to their product range, and I can’t wait to share my thoughts with you.

New Blush Formula

The first product I tried was the new blush formula, and I have to say, it is stunning. The color is a beautiful peachy beige shade that adds a soft wash of color to the cheeks. I found that the best way to apply this blush is by using my fingers to gently pat and tap it onto my cheekbones. The finish is satin matte, and it blends effortlessly into the skin.

Comparison to Rare Beauty Blush

In terms of texture, the Violette_FR blush is quite similar to the Rare Beauty Stay Vulnerable Melting Cream Blush. Both have a creamy and smooth texture that turns into a powdery finish on the skin. The Violette_FR blush, however, has a more subtle and natural pink tone compared to the Rare Beauty blush. One swipe of the Violette_FR blush gives a similar effect, but if you build it up, the rosier tone becomes more apparent.

New Lip Formula: Bisou Balm

The signature Violette_FR product, in my opinion, is now the Bisou Balm. This sheer lipstick meets balm gives a kiss of color and a just-bitten look that screams Parisian chic. The new formula is meant to have a blurred, velvety look with a soft matte finish, and it definitely delivers. The texture of the Bisou Balm is intriguing, as it is part balmy and part powdery.

Comparison to Previous Formula

I must admit, I was a bit disappointed with the reformulation of the Bisou Balm. While the new formula is comfortable on the lips, it has lost the balmy glow that the previous formula had. It still gives a soft matte finish and a hydrating feel, but it is not as balmy as before. However, I must say that the color payoff and longevity are still fantastic.

I am quite impressed with the new blush and lip formulas from Violette_FR. The blush gives a beautiful wash of color with a satin matte finish, and the Bisou Balm provides a sheer, soft matte look with a comfortable feel. While the reformulation of the Bisou Balm may have lost some of its balmy glow, it is still a fantastic lip product. I can’t wait to continue experimenting with these new formulas and incorporating them into my daily makeup routine.

Violette_FR New Blush and Lip Formulas: An Updated Review

Lip Formulas: A Prevailing Issue with Earlier Version

The earlier version of Violette_FR lip formulas had a common issue of not wearing evenly and giving a flatter velvety look that emphasized texture. Additionally, the velvety matte feel could border on dryness, making it less hydrating. One had to always layer lip balm underneath and apply light layers instead of swiping heavily.

Introducing the New Lip Formula

The new formula of Violette_FR lipsticks comes with an updated texture and a strong vanilla scent. Btise, which is the classic Violette colour, is a bestselling deep pink-berry shade that enhances the natural flush of the lips. However, the new formula seems to have slightly altered the color, resulting in a deeper tone with less orange undertones. It would be interesting to know if the same alteration applies to the other shades as well.

Guimauve: A Spring Fresh Soft Coral

Guimauve is a soft coral shade that feels refreshing for the spring season. It was recently seen on Emily Blunt, adding a touch of vibrancy to her look. However, the pigment in this particular shade may be a little inconsistent and more buildable compared to others. If you prefer a blotted lip look, Guimauve could be a good choice.

Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Colour: A Personal Favorite

For those who enjoy a comfortable, sheer matte lipstick with low maintenance, Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Colour is highly recommended. It is my personal favorite, providing a similar bitten, kiss of color like Btise, but with a little more warmth. For a Calisson-style beige, with a touch of peachy pink, the shade Bare is another option to consider.

Recapping Earlier Releases: Violettes Yeux Paint Liquid Shadows

Aside from the lip formulas, Violette_FR also offers liquid shadows called Violettes Yeux Paint. These shadows are far from subtle, as they boast intense, paint-like pigmentation. For application tips and more details, please refer to my first review. In short, it is recommended to use a tiny dot for a sheer wash of color. If you enjoy bold eye looks, these shadows are worth checking out.

The Final

The launch of Violette_FR’s new blush and lip formulas introduces some exciting changes. While the earlier lip formulas had their drawbacks, the new formula seems to offer improvements in terms of texture and scent. Shades like Btise and Guimauve provide lovely options for achieving a flushed or fresh spring look. Additionally, if you prefer a sheer matte lipstick, Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Colour offers a comfortable and low-maintenance option. Overall, Violette_FR continues to offer innovative and vibrant products for makeup enthusiasts.

Violette_FR Updated Review: New Blush and Lip Formulas

Originally, there are 14 blush options in the Violette_FR range, and now there are two newer additions. One of the new shades is Petite Culotte, a tender matte beige that is the lightest latte option available. This simple soft brown shade has been recently worn by Emily Blunt, and I thought I’d share it with you. When paired with one of my favourites, Tout Doux, a neutral tan matte, Petite Culotte suddenly looks warmer and toasty.

New Lip Formulas and Comparisons

In terms of lip products, Violette_FR has introduced a new shade called Marron Glac, which is a twinkling, deep brown. Personally, I find this shade perfect for eyeliner, especially when used with Petite Culotte as a base. The twinkling shades in Violette_FR’s range are more sheer and less thick and creamy. Marron Glac was actually inspired by candy chestnuts from a famous Paris dessert shop, Angelina, known for their hot chocolate. If you’re worried about the pigment being too intense, I highly recommend Rare Beauty’s Stay Vulnerable Liquid Shadow formula, which is one of the best in the industry. It’s creamy, blends evenly and easily, and doesn’t set too quickly or crease.

Product Comparisons

When it comes to blush, I have found two alternatives that I personally love. The first is Love Warm Beige, which is nearly neutral and gives a beautiful, natural flush to the cheeks. Another great option is the Armani Eye Tints, which are fantastic lightweight liquid blushes. While I haven’t tried the new formulas yet, one of my old favorites, 27 Sunset, is still available online at Sephora. It offers a metallic, sheer pink shade that is much more user-friendly in my opinion.

Universal Highlight: Baume Shine

Violette_FR’s Baume Shine is a universal highlight stick that creates a neoclassical painting radiance. It gives a dewy, balmy, glazed gold glow that is more golden than your typical universal champagne highlighters. The formula contains super fine shimmer, allowing it to catch the light and sometimes appear slightly glittery and more noticeable. If you prefer sparkle-free, lit-from-within luminosity, I highly recommend Chanel Baume Essentiel in any shade. It is my absolute favorite and gives the perfect balmy highlight.

Violette_FR Blush and Lip Formulas

Violette_FR has recently released new blush and lip formulas that are worth trying out. Let’s take a closer look at these products and compare them to others in the market.

Sculpting Blush: Perfect Pearly Champagne

The Sculpting Blush in the shade “Perfect Pearly Champagne” is a standout product. It has a thin texture with a beautiful sheen that gives you a healthy glow. When you wear this blush, it feels like you’re Sofia Richie on her wedding day. The best part is that it doesn’t have any shimmer or glitter, making it perfect for those who prefer a more natural finish.

Bouche Matte: Bold and Red

Violette_FR’s Bouche Matte in the shade “Amour Fou” is a bold and red lip color that sold out quickly at MECCA. It gives your lips a rich rose, petal-like appearance. While the shade is stunning, some users may find it a bit messy to work with due to its dramatic effect. Additionally, the doefoot applicator is a little bulky, making it challenging to achieve precise application.

Liquid Lipsticks for Special Occasions

Liquid lipsticks are often reserved for special occasions, but we still want them to be easy to use. That’s where the Rouge Dior Forever Liquids come in. If you’re attending a wedding or an event like the Eras Tour and need a super long-lasting red lip color, this is the frontrunner. The shade “999” is creamy and lightweight once set, making you forget it’s even there.

Boum Boum Milk: All-in-One Skincare

Violette_FR’s Boum Boum Milk is a versatile product that can be used as a toner, serum, or moisturizer. This all-in-one cream spray is not your typical lightweight mist. It has a slightly tacky consistency and leaves a dewy finish on the skin. To help it sink in better, it’s recommended to smooth it around after spraying. The Boum Boum Milk feels like it’s rehydrating your skin rather than evaporating and leaving it dry. If you prefer a lighter texture, the Laneige Cream Skin Mist is also worth considering.

New Blush and Lip Formulas

Violette_FR has recently released new blush and lip formulas that have caught the attention of beauty enthusiasts everywhere. These products promise to deliver long-lasting color and a dewy, hydrated finish.

Violette_FR Blush

The Violette_FR blush is a lightweight formula that comes in a superfine spray. When applied, it gives a juicy, hydrating feel to the skin without leaving it damp. Unlike other blushes, Violette_FR’s formula provides a noticeable and lasting dewy effect.

C’est La Cream

C’est La Cream is Violette_FR’s moisturizing barrier cream. This light gel cream is designed to have a melt-to-velvet finish, making it suitable for different skin types. Despite being a moisturizer, it has a matte finish that completely sinks into the skin, leaving no residue or dew behind.

Comparisons to Embryolisse Lait Crme Concentr

As a French beauty icon herself, many expected Violette_FR’s C’est La Cream to be similar to the well-known Embryolisse Lait Crme Concentr. However, the two products differ in texture and finish. While the Embryolisse cream has a milky medium weight and creates a glowy canvas for makeup or supple skin on its own, Violette_FR’s C’est La Cream has a lighter, matte texture that nourishes the skin without leaving it shiny.
