UPDATED FOUNDATION BASE ROUTINE | AnchalMUA

UPDATED FOUNDATION BASE ROUTINE | AnchalMUA

Starting with a Glowy Base

When it comes to my updated foundation base routine, I like to begin with a little bit of a glowy base. This not only helps to prep my skin for makeup but also adds a beautiful luminosity to my complexion.

Two products that I’ve been loving lately for achieving this glow are the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter in the shade five, and the new hmb Cosmetics Soft Luminous Gloating. These products not only work well as a base for foundation but can also be used on their own for those no foundation days when you just want a subtle and radiant glow on your skin.

Lightweight, Yet Glamorous Makeup Base

In 2023, I have been rocking a more lightweight, yet glamorous makeup base. I have moved away from heavy and thick foundations and have embraced a more breathable and natural-looking finish.

The key is to achieve a long-wearing base without weighing down the skin. I still want my makeup to last throughout the day, but I no longer want to feel like I have a mask on my face. This updated routine allows me to feel comfortable and confident in my makeup while still maintaining that flawless look.

The Foundation Process

To achieve this lightweight and glam makeup base, I have modified my foundation application process. Here’s how it goes:

1. Starting with a well-prepped and moisturized face, I apply a thin layer of primer to create a smooth canvas for foundation.

2. Instead of applying foundation all over my face, I focus on areas that need more coverage, such as redness, blemishes, or dark circles. I use a small, dense brush or a beauty sponge for a seamless blend.

3. For the rest of my face, I use a lightweight, sheer foundation or a tinted moisturizer. This helps to even out my skin tone without feeling heavy or cakey.

4. To set my foundation and ensure long-lasting wear, I lightly dust a translucent powder all over my face. I prefer a loose powder for a more natural finish.

5. To add dimension and warmth to my complexion, I lightly contour my cheekbones, jawline, and temples using a cool-toned bronzer. This step enhances the overall appearance of my makeup and adds a touch of glam.

Finishing Touches

The foundation base routine is not complete without some finishing touches. Here are a few additional steps I incorporate:

1. I always define my brows using a brow pencil or powder. Well-groomed brows frame the face and add structure to the overall makeup look.

2. To enhance my eyes, I apply a neutral-toned eyeshadow that complements my skin tone. I usually opt for matte shades for a more subtle and sophisticated eye look.

3. I finish off my eye makeup with a couple of coats of mascara to make my lashes look longer and fuller.

4. To add a pop of color to my cheeks, I apply a blush that complements my skin tone. I prefer a creamy formula for a more natural flush.

5. Lastly, I complete the look with a swipe of lipstick or lip gloss in a shade that enhances my natural lip color. This final touch completes the overall glowy and glamorous base makeup.

So, if you’re looking to update your foundation base routine and achieve a lightweight yet glamorous makeup look

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood, Flawless Filter

Today, I have decided to stick with my trusty Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood, Flawless Filter. The packaging of this product is absolutely stunning, with its gorgeous tin that adds a touch of luxury to my makeup collection. I am going to apply this all over my face using a buffing motion, ensuring a seamless application.

Shiseido Revital Essence Ginglow Foundation

Next, I will be using the Shiseido Revital Essence Ginglow Foundation, which has become one of my current favorites. This foundation is a perfect blend between a skin tint and a foundation, resulting in a natural and radiant finish. As I have grown older, I have found that heavy, full-coverage foundations no longer suit my needs. I prefer foundations that are lightweight, slightly runny, and provide sheer to medium coverage. Despite having an oily T-zone, I have noticed that using glowy foundations can still make my skin look beautiful and youthful.

What I particularly love about this foundation is its seamless match to my skin tone. The shade selection is impressive, and it effortlessly blends into my complexion, giving the appearance of natural, flawless skin. I have also reached a point where I no longer feel the need to completely hide any scarring or imperfections beneath the makeup. Instead, I embrace the fact that my skin has imperfections and accept them as part of my journey.

Embracing Imperfections

As I have gotten older, I have come to realize that there is only so much I can cover and that I am willing to cover. In the past, I used to pile on concealer and heavy products to achieve a flawless look, but now I have grown to appreciate the beauty of imperfections. Embracing my scars and blemishes has given me a sense of liberation and confidence. I believe that showcasing my true skin, with all its flaws, is a testament to accepting and loving myself as I am.

A Youthful Glow

To achieve a youthful appearance, I believe that a healthy glow is key. Despite having an oily T-zone, I have found that using foundations with a luminous finish adds a youthful radiance to my complexion. The glowy effect helps to create a natural and fresh look, enhancing my features and giving me a more vibrant and youthful appearance. I’ve learned that looking youthful and glowing doesn’t mean having a completely matte and oil-free complexion, but rather embracing the natural oils and radiance of my skin.

My updated foundation base routine revolves around embracing imperfections, choosing foundations that provide sheer to medium coverage, and adding a youthful glow to my complexion. By embracing my scars and imperfections, I have found a new sense of confidence and self-acceptance. With the right foundation and a touch of glow, I can achieve a natural and radiant look that enhances my features and brings out my inner beauty.

Applying the Foundation

When it comes to applying foundation, there are a few techniques that can help you achieve the desired coverage. One method that I find effective is patting the foundation onto the skin. This not only helps to ensure more coverage, especially when using lighter coverage foundations, but it also gives a more seamless finish.

Choosing the Right Tool

While patting the foundation onto the skin can be done with your fingers, it is worth noting that Shiseido recommends using a brush, beauty blender, or sponge for application. These tools can help to distribute the product evenly and blend it seamlessly into the skin.

Aging and Foundation Application

If you’re someone who is experiencing signs of aging, such as forehead wrinkles, there is a simple tip that can make a difference in how your foundation appears. Applying slightly less foundation on the forehead can create a more natural look and help to minimize the appearance of wrinkles. This applies even if you are wearing a full coverage foundation. By reducing the amount of foundation on the forehead, it can give the illusion of wearing less makeup overall.

Skin Imperfections and Concealer

For those who have scarring or other skin imperfections, using a concealer can further enhance the appearance of a flawless base. One popular option is the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer. This concealer is known for its high coverage and ability to mask imperfections effectively.

Achieving a flawless foundation base requires careful application techniques and the use of the right tools. By experimenting with different methods, such as patting the foundation onto the skin, and adjusting the amount of foundation used in specific areas, you can create a natural and seamless finish. Additionally, incorporating a high coverage concealer can help to further enhance the appearance of a flawless base.

The Foundation Base

To start off my foundation base routine, I like to cover up any problem areas on my face. This typically includes areas of hyperpigmentation around my mouth. By using a little bit of foundation, I can easily conceal these imperfections. Once the foundation is applied, I am already loving how it looks. It gives me a semi-flawless finish that appears very natural. It’s the kind of base routine that I would confidently wear both during the day and at night. Of course, you can always modify the foundation to make it last longer or suit specific occasions, but I’m currently really loving the overall look.

The Cream Bronzer

Next, I move on to applying some cream bronzer to my face. My go-to product for this step is the Charlotte Tilbury sun-kissed bronzer. I honestly adore this product and use it almost every single day. It’s funny though, despite all the use, I still haven’t hit pan on it, so it lasts forever!

Now, the placement of the bronzer might vary from person to person. Since I have a smaller forehead, I don’t need to bring the bronzer all the way around. However, for those with slightly larger foreheads, I recommend going all the way around. The trick to achieving a natural look is to push the bronzer back into the hairline rather than applying it straight down. This technique gives a more blended and seamless finish.

I usually take a bit more bronzer and apply it just above where my ear is. This creates a subtle contour effect and adds some warmth to my complexion. It’s incredible how such a simple step can instantly enhance the overall look of my foundation base.

The Setting Powder

To set everything in place and to ensure that my foundation and bronzer last throughout the day, I always use a setting powder. By doing so, it also helps to minimize any shine that might appear as the day goes on. I like to tap a little bit of powder onto a fluffy brush and gently sweep it across my face, focusing on the areas that tend to get oily.

There are so many amazing setting powders available on the market, so don’t be afraid to experiment and find the one that works best for your skin type. Personally, I find that a translucent powder works well for me as it doesn’t alter the color of my foundation or bronzer.

The Makeup Mist

Finally, to set everything in place and to give my skin a natural and radiant glow, I like to spray some makeup mist all over my face. This step not only helps to blend all the products together but also adds an extra layer of hydration to my skin. It’s the perfect finishing touch to complete my updated foundation base routine.

After following this updated foundation base routine, I am left with a flawless and natural-looking base. It’s a routine that I can wear confidently for any occasion, be it day or night. With the right products and techniques, achieving a stunning foundation base is easier than ever!

Creating Depth and Lift

Between bronzing and contouring, I have discovered a technique that adds depth and lifts my face. Instead of applying the product lower on my cheek, I take it slightly higher, just above my ear. This way, I can achieve a more sculpted and lifted look. It’s important to find the right balance, though, as going too high can ruin the intended effect. In the past, I used to apply cream bronzer over my nose, but lately, I have been experimenting with different methods.

Concealing with Precision

Moving on to concealer, I am currently obsessed with the hmb Cosmetics soft focus airbrush concealer. This particular product has gained popularity on platforms like TikTok, and for good reason. When applying the concealer, I used to go heavy-handed, covering my entire under-eye area. However, my approach has changed. I now use a smaller amount and opt for a fuller coverage concealer. This allows me to achieve a more natural and even blend.

Settling for Better Coverage

After applying the concealer, I give it about 30 seconds to settle into my skin before further blending. This brief waiting period helps me get the most coverage out of the product. I start from the inner corner of my eye and gently push the concealer outward. Surprisingly, the small amount of concealer I used is sufficient to conceal my under-eye area without appearing too thick or cakey. The key here is to always blend in an outward motion.

Lifting and Blending

Everything we want to do is to lift, take it up and use your foundation brush to go between where your bronzer and your concealer is to just blend in between you. Don’t want that line. That separation, you want everything to look nice and seamless like so just do the same again on this side, we’ve come a long way to how it used to be like back.

A Natural Glow

In the day it was really heavy. Now everyone wants it to be a bit more. Like effortless glowy, like I woke up like this, but I still made an effort. I really feel like I’ve mastered the look, which is why I wanted to share it with you guys.

Setting for a Flawless Finish

Okay, now this is where things change a little bit so I’m making sure I’ve got no creasing underneath the eyes and I’m going to go in with this hmb Cosmetics, soft focus, loose powder in the translucent one and I’m just gonna set right underneath my eyes. Really really lightly, so you want to take any light translucent powder, basically something that’s not too heavy, just basically anytime translucent powder that you love and just take it right underneath just to set just to make sure we don’t have any creasing and then I’ll. Also, take a little bit of this powder in all of the areas that I tend to get oily and where this is a really glowy Foundation, I want to make sure to set it as you wear your foundation.

Setting the Base

Throughout the day, your natural oils are going to come through, making your skin look glowy. To combat this and ensure a smooth foundation application, I like to set my face lightly with a setting powder. I focus on areas where I tend to crease or get oily, such as around my mouth and the center of my nose.

Adding Blush

Once my base is set, I move on to adding some color to my cheeks with a cream blush. Currently, I’ve been really loving the blush from the rare Beauty collection. I have the shade “Worth” which is absolutely stunning. You’ll find a video on my Instagram and TikTok where I swatch all the shades of the rare Beauty blush, so make sure to check that out!

To apply the cream blush, I prefer to start right at the top of my cheekbone. Placing the blush more towards the outer part of the face makes it easier to blend and create a natural-looking effect. I then blend it forward, ensuring that if anything goes wrong, it will be less noticeable towards the back of my face.

Blending Technique

When applying the cream blush, I find that patting and blending it all the way across the cheekbone gives the most seamless and natural result. The key is to avoid applying a heavy blob of blush in the center of your face and then attempting to blend it out, as it can easily look unnatural and overwhelming.

Using this technique, I achieve a beautiful and effortless flush on my cheeks. I also apply the blush in a similar manner on the other side of my face, slightly higher towards the top of the cheekbone.

Brush Recommendation

I know many of you will be curious about the brush I use for applying the cream blush. I personally love using the Mac 159 s brush. It allows for precise application and effortless blending, giving me complete control over the intensity of the blush.

So, if you’re looking to update your foundation base routine, consider incorporating a setting powder and cream blush into your makeup routine. These simple steps can make a world of difference in achieving a flawless and natural-looking base.

The Foundation Base Routine

Honestly, you could just leave it there and your base is done like you could you could but Im Im not going to were going to keep going. Let me show you now: thats done Im gon na go in with my bronzer Im gon na go in with powder bronzer, and this is Matt.

My Holy Grail

Give me sun, you guys know. I basically use this in nearly every single video for the last. However, many years because its my Holy Grail, its my favorite and Im, just gon na, take it a little bit over the cream bronzer here and if you notice from earlier, I didnt set the entire forehead with the Loose Powder.

A Complementary Combination

I only set the center so Im kind of only taking this on the edges, which wasn’t set and then Im gon na take this from the outside of my face, moving in making sure its not too low and also not too high up into that cream. Blush – and I feel like this bronzer really complements that cream blush that weve just used.

The Right Technique

The reason I like to start from the back of my face and work inwards is because everything is still kind of damp shall we say I havent set these cream products here on my cheek and now were going in with a powder bronzer. So what we dont want to happen, is it to look patchy or anything, and you always want most of the product to be at the back of your face and its a blend in you know when people put bronzer on from here and they do this whoa.

Remember that the context of the article is about “UPDATED FOUNDATION BASE ROUTINE | AnchalMUA” and you basing your writing on the provided text.

Setting the Foundation

To achieve my updated foundation base routine, I have made some changes that work better for me. Instead of applying the foundation directly to my face, I prefer to apply it from the back of my hand and softly diffuse it onto my skin. This technique helps to warm up the product and create a more natural finish. Additionally, I like to pinch my brush and take a small amount of foundation up the sides of my nose, further blending it in for a seamless look.

Setting the Bronzed Areas

After applying the foundation, I like to do an extra step to set the areas where I have bronzed. To do this, I go back in with a loose powder and apply it underneath the bronzer. This not only helps to set my makeup but also gives a clean and sharp look. I use a light touch when applying the powder, as I’m not looking to bake or set it for a long time. This slight touch of powder enhances the lifted appearance of my makeup.

Adding a Pressed Setting Powder

To take the look to the next level, I include a pressed setting powder in my routine. The specific one I use is from hmb Cosmetics in the shade “fair.” I opt for a tiny powder puff from Huda Beauty to apply it. After picking up some product, I gently dab off any excess onto my hand. Then, I focus on the corners of my under-eye area, patting the setting powder in an upward and outward motion. This technique helps to brighten the under-eye area and further lift the overall appearance of the makeup.

Overall, these small adjustments to my foundation base routine have made a noticeable difference in my finished look. While it may not be suitable for everyone, I have found that these techniques work well for me. They provide a more natural and lifted result, something that I can personally see both in person and on my screen. Give them a try and see if they work for you too!

The Brightness and Lift

Can you see the difference between this side and this side? It just looks slightly brighter, slightly lifted. For an evening look and things like that, I love doing this. So again, I’ll just pick some up, pat off any excess, and then go in and set. The reason I’m taking it up the sides of my nose is also just to clean up that bronzer, to make it look sharper and more contoured. Then, you can just take your powder brush and brush off any excess.

Quick and Easy Base Routine

Finally, we’re going to finish up with the cheeks. I feel like this base routine is super easy. When you get the hang of it, you can do it in literally 20 minutes. It really is so much quicker than what I used to do. Now, I know a lot of people have moved on from highlighters, but I personally still love them, especially this one from Rare Beauty. It’s in the shade Florence and I just think it’s so gorgeous.

The Accentuation

You just need a little bit of this and then I’ll just take it onto the tops of my cheeks. See what I’m saying? I literally just place it right where the highest point of my cheekbone is, so it’s heaviest there and then diffused out back and forth. Bear in mind we are going to put blusher on, so just a little bit here and then diffused out. I will just take whatever’s left on the tip of my nose too.

The Final Touch

Finally, it wouldn’t be one of my videos without a little bit of blusher. I’m using this shade called Rosebud from the Tartelette in Bloom palette. I just think it’s a really gorgeous, subtle everyday kind of shade. So I just tap in the pan with my blush brush, tap off the excess, and then I just place it where I want it. You can see it just adds a nice little flush of color to the cheeks.

Adding a Touch of Blusher for a Long-Lasting Glow

If I didn’t have some blusher, I know we did the cream blush thing and you could just leave it like this. Then you get these glowy cheeks from the cream coming through, but I’m extra it will be more long wearing if you go in with a powder blush on top of your cream and I’m all here for the light.

Nars Orgasm Blush: An Oldie but a Classic

Look but long wear I’m going in with my Nars orgasm blush oldie classic. I feel like everyone has this in their collection, starting from the back and just working my way forward, taking a little bit on the apples of my cheeks and going up, and we’re just adding to that glow.

Finishing Touches with Makeup and Mascara

So I just finished off the rest of my makeup by applying a little bit of this makeup by Mario pencil liner and the benefit Fan Fest mascara. Oh my God. I absolutely love this, like ever since I’ve got it. I literally cannot stop using it. It’s so, so good and I just popped a little bit of gloss on as well.

Securing the Base with Charlotte Tilbury Setting Spray

But just to secure the base, make sure it stays put all day we’re going in with the Charlotte Tilbury airbrush Flawless. Setting spray – and I swear to God – this is so big. This is literally bigger than my head. This is actually the jumbo size, but everyone needs this size because it is actually one of the best-selling sprays ever. So I’m just going to go in with a little bit of this and yeah, you can see instantly I’ve got the glow back into my skin.

The Final Look

And this is how my makeup is now supposed to look.

Introducing the Updated Foundation Base Routine

Welcome to my channel, where I am excited to share with you my updated foundation base routine. Lately, I have been experimenting with a new way of applying my base makeup, and I must say, I am absolutely loving the results. There have been some noticeable differences compared to my previous routine, and I am eager to share them with you.

The Difference That Makes a Difference

After countless trials and errors, I have finally found a technique that works wonders for my skin. This updated foundation base routine has not only enhanced the longevity of my makeup, but it has also improved its overall appearance.

One of the key changes I have made is in my foundation application. Instead of using a brush or sponge, I have opted for a beauty blender. This small, teardrop-shaped sponge has made all the difference in achieving a seamless and airbrushed finish. Its dampness creates a flawless canvas for the rest of my makeup.

Another crucial step in my updated routine is the use of a hydrating primer. As someone with dry skin, I have found this to be a game changer. This step ensures that my foundation applies smoothly and evenly, and prevents it from clinging to any dry patches.

Sharing the Love
