Un-Emptied Skincare! decluttering and deinfluencing~

Un-Emptied Skincare: The Confessions

I do have quite a big container of non-empties here. This is another one that I know so many people love. I actually got a pretty bad allergic reaction to this one. This is Tina and welcome back to my channel in this video were going to be talking about some skin care non-empties. If that sounds like your thing, then please go ahead and turn y, so non-empties.

The Reality of Un-Emptied Skincare

I think it’s pretty straightforward to what that means, but basically skincare products that I did not empty before the expiry date. I feel like I do empties pretty often, and you guys do love seeing it, but this also means that there are going to be products that I just don’t empty, because I do only have one face now. I am going to put a disclaimer on this one. Cuz, I know some people are going to be bitter about it. I do this full time.

The Struggle of a Skincare Enthusiast

I get sent a lot of products from Brands and also have a lot of requests from you guys to test our products and a lot of products that I am just curious about to try out too, which means that, unfortunately, not every single product that I open and test out gets fully used up. Also what your skin likes and dislikes is a thing, no matter how many reviews you read online, saying it’s good or bad until we try it ourselves and our own skin. We don’t know how the product will work for us or how much we like it.

Decluttering Skincare Collection

I recently did a huge declutter of my skincare collection, which honestly I cant really remember the last time. I did one this proper but its because we will be moving soon and obviously dont want to take expired products with me just cuz I dont like it or I didnt use it up, does not mean its a bad product. Some of these, I actually did enjoy a fair bit its just that there might be other products that worked better, that were similar and if you do like the product and it works for you, it definitely doesn’t mean its a bad product. So please keep that in mind. I will also try to include like an alternative in the description. If there is something similar that I feel like works better and before we get started, my skin type is dry, dehydrated, all right.

Cleansers

First I’m going to start off with cleansers, which I actually only have one, and it is the neoen Canadian clay pore cleanser. From memory, this one actually came with a little cleansing brush, but unfortunately, that brush broke from like my first use. So I didn’t really use it with the brush. This one was like a mask cleanser like you, apply it on almost like its a clay mask, and then you use the brush to cleanse it off. For me, it was too drying.

Dryer Skin Cleansers

I do have dryer skin so cleansers that are all about deep pore cleansing and have that thick clay formula don’t work for me. They are too drying and bothersome.

Toners and Essences

Toners and essences are my biggest category because they are my favorite products, and I am picky about them. The first one I have is the Claires daily skin softening water which I did not use much because it felt too light and didn’t provide enough hydration for my dehydrated skin.

I prefer the um naua hatami toner because it is super lightweight yet deeply hydrating. The H wand black rice hyaluronic toner, although a favorite, is scented, and I prefer the unscented version.

Unfinished Toner

I don’t really like the fragrance of Lavender, so that’s pretty much the only reason why I didn’t finish it the toner itself – I actually do enjoy it thoroughly. They have two different versions, so it’s up to you whether you want the scented or unscented element.

Skin Illuminating Solution

This one I did fairly enjoy. I mean I used about half of the bottle. I felt like it was a little bit greasy at times. It does give you that glow when you apply it, but I feel like it was a little bit greasy and doesn’t layer well multiple times or with other products. I prefer more milky toners when it comes to a glow and something that gives a bit more nourishment. The finish just wasn’t my favorite.

Number One Toner

Pretty sure this product no longer exists. This is the old number one toner and it is about kind of being a mild exfoliating. I’m pretty sure it has chemical exfoliant in it, LHA. It’s a gentle, exfoliating toner supposed to be about removing those dead skin cells. It’s a completely different concept now, more like a soothing, deeply hydrating toner.

The Disappointing Number One Toner

Now the number one – and it has like a different packaging, different formulation and everything, so it just wasn’t anything special. I don’t feel like it was really benefiting my skin that much. I definitely did prefer the number two and number three toners more.

Disappointing Isn’t Tree Green Tea Toner

The is not tree green tea, fresh toner, so this one, I know, is a cult favorite for a lot of people. It was a bit of a shame that I didn’t really reach for it that much. It is mostly recommended for those who have oily combo skin, so it is very light and fresh, almost too fresh.

Preference for Anua Hot Leaf Toner

If I was going to go for a really lightweight toner, that is more recommended for oily skin, I do think I prefer the Anua hot leaf toner. That one is more recommended for oily skin, and I love it. It’s super lightweight, but I can layer it and it still feels like an up hydration, whereas the Isn’t Tree Green Tea Toner was too fresh for me.

Chemical Exfoliating Toner – Chumi Saw Yes, I Am Tona

The Chumi Saw Yes, I Am Tona, is a chemical exfoliating toner with 5% of AHA. I have talked about multiple times that I’m not a huge fan of chemical exfoliants. It just doesn’t seem to agree with my skin. All I can feel is a little bit of tingle from it, which I know you can get past, and a lot of people say it’s fine, yeah.

Skincare Preferences

I agree, but I think I would prefer to use something where I do feel like instant results. Almost so using like an enzyme, cleanser or even doing a deep cleanse, those things are enough for me to get a really gentle like exfoliation process and not have to rely on chemical exfoliant.

Chemical Exfoliants

I mean I havent for quite some time now and I feel, like my skin, is doing well, like I know my skin very well. It just doesnt need to rely on chemical exfoliant. The last one I have is more of an essence or serum, but it is the karx advanced, snail muin power Essence.

Challenges with Products

This is another one that I know so many people love. So I was really really excited to try it like not going to lie. I was like yes, finally Im going to try it, but you can see that I barely made a dent. I actually got a pretty bad allergic reaction to this one, and I have used snail muin before. Ive used it multiple times never had an issue, but I think this high percentage being 96, my skin freaked out.

Allergic Reactions

I did post about it on Instagram and stuff, and a few of you had said that there is like a link between being allergic dust, mites, and snail muin, which I dont know if like is completely correct or like actual, but I do have really high allergy to dust mites. So that was enough for me.

Un-Emptied Skincare: The Allergic Reactions

I encountered a series of allergic reactions when trying out various skincare products. One such product was a snail mucin cream that caused my skin to break out. Despite this negative experience, I was willing to give other products a try, albeit with caution.

The Lesson Learned

My next venture into serums led me to the Beauty of Choson Glow Serum. Excited to try it, I failed to thoroughly read the ingredients list. To my dismay, I discovered that it contained Tano oil, to which I am allergic. This experience taught me to be more vigilant and review all ingredients before using any skincare product.

Decluttering and Deinfluencing

Following these unfortunate incidents, I decided to declutter my skincare collection. I got rid of products that contained ingredients I was allergic to, along with any items that I no longer used or found effective. This process allowed me to streamline my routine and focus on products that were truly beneficial for my skin.

Rebuilding a Skincare Routine

After decluttering, I began to research and incorporate new products into my skincare routine. I made sure to choose items with safe ingredients and avoid those that had previously caused me allergic reactions. This selective approach helped me build a skincare regimen that was tailored to my skin’s needs.

Embracing a Minimalist Approach

Through the process of decluttering and deinfluencing my skincare collection, I learned the value of a minimalist approach. By keeping only essential products and being mindful of ingredients, I was able to achieve healthier and happier skin. This experience taught me to prioritize quality over quantity and to listen to my skin’s needs above all else.

A Tale of Half-Used Serums

These ones actually did in enjy, so I have the Im from honey. Serum definitely enjoy this one, especially being a dry skin gal. This is such a nice nourishing serum, but it is almost too nourishing that I can only really wear it when its really cold and dry in winter.

The Case of Seasonal Skincare

So I mean I used about half, but any other season, its probably a little bit too heavy, and the serum that I prefer to this one that has a similar effect is the delba jewel layer serum, like the one that has like the two layers that one Is super nourishing, but its a bit more of a lightweight texture and doesnt leave quite a heavy sticky feeling on your skin compared to this so out of the two, I definitely do prefer the double one.

Discovering New Favorites

Hence I didnt end up finishing this, and the other serum that I have that I definitely enjoy is the Claires fundamental watery oil drop its been a while, since Ive talked about this one I feel like about two years ago. I probably talked about it a lot and yes, its a serum that I really really enjoy.

Reevaluating Skincare Choices

It is like I really lightweight slightly oil like serum, that gives you an instant glow is really hydrating and nourishing, but this is probably like my second or third bottle. So my opinion on it was set like I knew I enjoyed it, I think since then, I have discovered more serums that I favor, so I didnt end up finishing this one.

Un-Emptied Skincare Products

The numbers and number three I feel like in terms of texture and like the instantaneous effect it gives like that glow and smoothing of the skin is similar, but I just do prefer the number three and it has more benefits. I feel like than this one.

Y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum

The Y dark spot correcting glow serum is another one that I know a lot of people love. I’ll be honest. I just don’t really have an opinion like it’s not a bad product, but it didn’t blow me away. I used it on and off for a few weeks, but that was it. I really I can’t tell you why I don’t really like it. I just didn’t reach for it over other serums and I think when it comes to brightening serums, I think I like something that has a bit more of like a juicy jelly finish.

Rtin LHA Blemish Ampoule

The Rtin LHA blemish ampoule is another one that I definitely enjoyed at the time of using, and this was my second bottle. I believe – and I was like almost halfway. I think at the time this kind of became popular there wasn’t that many products that included gentle exfoliants like LHA and PHA, which is what I prefer compared to AHA and BHA. So I think it was one of the few products that had it. So I really enjoyed it at the time. It has a really nice light texture and is lightly hydrating as well. After that, I feel like a lot of brands came out with more products that include LHA and PHA, and I do think I prefer those over this one.

Decluttering Un-Emptied Skincare Products

I think the Toren balance full line is actually quite similar to this, but I do prefer its texture and kind of soothing and hydrating capabilities. This one is a very generous 50 mil for a serum which is great in terms of value, but for me I just didn’t go through it.

Dr. Jart Seeker Peer Serum

Next I have the Dr. Jart Seeker Peer serum. I’m actually so close to finishing this one, literally it’s like here. I feel like I should have just finished it up. Obviously, I used to F around. I mean it’s 50 mls. It is like a soothing serum, and that’s kind of it, which I do enjoy my soothing serums, nice texture, it absorbs well. I love the packaging, it’s like the automatic twist up and it’s already in there kind of serum. I did get really close to finishing up. I would honestly call this an almost empty serum.

Pudding-Like Texture

It is a brand that I genuinely enjoy a lot of their products, but it doesn’t mean I enjoy every single one. So, it is a pudding-like texture as they describe, but I feel like it doesn’t really sit on the skin well. It felt a little bit sticky, and if you applied too much, it had the potential of peeling. It is like a collagen formula, which I know a lot of people have differing opinions on.

Un-Emptied Skincare: The Need for Decluttering

I just feel like there’s other ways to get that kind of firmness and plump, and then the final serum I have is the needly ample real, active panol, plus this serum. I didn’t mind it, it just wasn’t anything special like the texture is nice hydrating, um, yeah that’s.

Minimizing Your Skincare Routine

Like the opinion, I think if you have like a really really basic routine – and you just want to keep like General Health of your skin but you’re not really trying to Target anything particular or kind of have much skin concerns. I feel like this kind of serum would probably work really well for you cuz. It has panol ninine alen, toin kind of those, almost basic ingredients that you find in most skincare products, but they do still have their benefits wow.

Avoiding Excess Moisturizers

I don’t actually have any moisturizers that’s. Quite surprising, I think, moisturizers also, I often do use them up on my body, so I feel like that’s kind of cheating.

Rethinking Masks in Your Routine

Next I actually have masks. They are mostly wash off masks. First, one I have is the kar X prop polis, honey overnight mask. I believe I have talked about this one on my channel a couple of times. I, like the concept of it, but I feel like it just sits on top its sticky and I’m going to smudge it all over my pillowcase, when I’m sleeping you can use this as a wash off mask as well, which I think is great, but I just Don’t really do wash off masks anymore.

Un-Emptied Skincare

Like I don’t, I just don’t, doing that much, that’s the truth. I, I don’t know what to tell you, the Isn’t Tree Real M clay mask so clay masks are especially hard for someone who has drier skin.

Clay Mask Preferences

This one, obviously I mean, I used a fair bit. I will say this is like decent for a clay mask for me. I love the ingredient, mugwort, so that’s probably why this one was a clay mask that wasn’t overly drying, but it still could be too drying for me. Sometimes I do prefer the I’m from beet clay mask because that one, it’s a clay mask, yet it really isn’t drying to the skin. It leaves my skin feeling well moisturized and soft, but it does have those purifying cleansing effects, so yeah.

Skincare Preferences

I just prefer that one, this one I feel like. If you have oily combo skin, you will absolutely love it, but yeah, I did not quite finish it up. Speaking of I’m from, I actually have two of them masks that, unfortunately, I did not use up. The I’m from mugwort mask, I actually love the mugwort range from I’m from, so this might be a little bit surprising, but this one is a wash-off mask that uses real mugwort.

Soothing Benefits

As you can see, I just felt like I didn’t get enough of those soothing benefits from the essence and the sheet mask, those two love. I still use it all the time, and that is enough soothing action for me.

Skincare Evaluation

I know this. One is preferred more by people who do have like redness who have acne prone skin, even active breakouts. It really can soothe those down its just that I do prefer the convenience of say, like a sheet mask over the wash off, and then I do also have the Im from jining mask this one. I just I guess its supposed to be like a semi anti aging, like nutrient Rich, firming type of sheet mask no, not sheet mask wash mask. I just didnt really know when to use this in my routine. The texture is also quite slimy, as you can kind of see, so it is an effort to wash off wash of masks in general are an effort, but this one is like extra effort because it gets really like slippery and slimy yeah. It was just okay.

Comparison

For me, I think I prefer the honey mask over this one, because that one leaves my skin so soft and like well nourished, and then we just have one sunscreen, which you know what I just realized. I didnt really go through my sunscreens properly. I have like a different section for sunscreens cuz. I dont keep them in my bathroom. There might possibly be more, but only got one for this video Bor, UV, Aqua, Rich watery, gel the Bor UV Aqua range is super super popular. This is the old packaging. So obviously I have had it sometime. Hence why its expired.

Un-Emptied Skincare: The Essence Preference

I do just prefer the essence out of the two the Ence is. More lightweight has more of a natural finish, whereas this one, it is pretty pretty shimmery its supposed to be kind of like a semi tone up sunscreen. Sometimes it can be pretty obvious, like I just applied it on one arm the other day and literally like by the end of the day I was sparkling, it was like it was glitter on my arm. I did purchase and try it and everything for my Bureau. Uv comparison, video, so yeah, I got it for that, but I always did and kind of knew. I liked the essence better, so yeah I just didnt end up using this one. If you like, the formula I feel like it is such affordable, like great 155 mil packaging, so I mean really really good value but yeah, not really my favorite sunscreen.

Skincare Deinfluencing: Reasons for Decluttering

Well, there you have it guys. They were my unemptied skincare items. I feel like I talk about products, I like a lot. I mean obviously thats like the norm, but I do also feel like you guys, should know reasons to why I might not like a product and, as I said it does not mean it is a bad product. At all. I mean theres quite a few products in this lot that are like viral very popular cold favorite products. So you know it does go to show not everybody likes the same skincare before we finish up to those of you who stayed till the end of the video.

Un-Emptied Skincare: Beauty At What Cost?

Thank you so much. I actually wanted to do a little bit of a get getaway getaway a bit of a giveaway now its going to be very lowkey, but I thought I would pick a few people to send a skincare package to just to say.

Skincare Hoarding: The Consequences

Thank you also to say thank you for 200k, like I didnt, even notice when it happened cuz I was um in Korea and it was just like you know. It just happened so to say thank you for that as well.

Deinfluencing: Breaking Free from Beauty Standards

I just want to do a small giveaway. I will say one thing: it is just going to be for people in Australia. I know it sucks. I dont really have time to look up all the global Shipping um rules and laws, because I will be moving in under a month and I need to kind of just get them out.
