The Perfect Makeup Tutorial
You know what I mean, I don’t know, I’ve just been craving like a classic sit-down tutorial, no reviews, no, nothing. Just like me enjoying makeup. I feel like that’s how I started my channel originally and that’s just what the world of YouTube was at the time. Just like a pink smokey eye, or date night looks and like, I feel like those types of don’t do as well as they used to, but like, that’s the vibe that I love so that’s what I’m inspired by today.
Starting with Eyeshadow Primer
We’re going to do eyes first, and I’m going to start with my eyeshadow primer. This is my Pat McGrath primer. My all-time favorite one is the Nars tinted, but I’ve been using this one, which I do like. This one just doesn’t have a tint and I prefer a tint, I feel like. So, I’m going to put this all over. I did do my brows off-camera. I did like the old school fill in your brows and then carve them out with concealer. I just missed those days a little bit. You know when I really took my time in every detail of every piece of my makeup.
Indulging in Classic Products
Look, I’m just feeling like really indulging in some classic products here. Okay, we’re going to start off with one of my favorite palettes right now. You guys already know the Makeup by Mario ethereal eyes. This is limited edition, but it’s back apparently at least for a little bit. I’m going to mix these two shades to start.
Setting the Stage
Before I delve into the main event, I need to set the stage with a light transition shade. It’s like laying down the foundation for the masterpiece that is about to unfold. For this purpose, I’ve dug up my long-forgotten Pat McGrath palette. Oh boy, it’s been way too long since I’ve given it the attention it deserves. The glimmering shades in this palette are just calling out to me. I can already envision the glittery eye look I’m about to create, and Pat McGrath palettes are perfect for such magical transformations. So, let’s begin by using this shade as a base, as the palette I want to use lacks a color light enough for my liking. Today, we’ll be hopping between palettes, adding a touch of spontaneity to our makeup adventure.
A Touch of Pink Perfection
Alright, it’s time to dive into my newest acquisition, the Pat McGrath Sunlet Seduction palette. Oh, the possibilities that lie within this mesmerizing case! This pink shade right here is usually my go-to for a transition, but today, I’m feeling daring. I want to use it as a defining color, creating a rosy-toned look that defies the conventions of fall makeup. Why am I suddenly drawn to this classic pinky gold? I have no logical explanation, but that’s the joy of makeup it allows us to embrace our ever-changing moods and desires.
With a gentle hand, I buff the pink shade toward the outer edge of my eye, adding depth and dimension. It glides on like liquid silk, leaving behind a touch of enchantment. But I don’t stop there; I take what’s left on my brush and blend it into the transition area as well. A hint of that pinky gold magic seeping into the brow area creates a harmonious connection, tying the whole look together.
Creating Definition
Now, I’m going to take this kind of burnt Rosy brown color in the palette and I’m taking this on my n12 brush from the Nikki lose collection. I’m wanting to just really etch out this outer edge of the eye. This palette is so heavy. I have a really hard time holding it while doing my makeup so I’m switching to a mirror. I’m really wanting to create some nice definition along the lash line and into the crease, and this isn’t going to look perfect right now. I’m just kind of laying down the product and then I’ll buff it out in just a second. I’m taking that same brush that we were just using, the fluffy one, and I’m going to go over the edges of this. Now that it’s been placed, I’ll just buff that out a little bit better. We’re just going to go for it.
Adding Shimmer
I’m going to take this shimmer shade right here in the bottom corner, it’s this gorgeous like duo-chrome pinky gold color I’ve never actually used. But, I felt like a little cranberry and gold eye would be just exactly what I’m craving. So, I’m popping this on the eyelid and by golly, is this pretty? Oh my gosh, I’m already so happy with how this is looking. These Pat McGrath glitters just can’t be beat – they’re so beautiful. I’m taking what’s left on my fingertip and kind of tapping it a little bit up toward the brow.
The Perfect Brow Bone
I love it when there’s just a hint of shimmer that kind of travels up onto the brow bone, so it looks like, I don’t know, a little more blended. If that makes sense, this is turning out exactly how I hoped.
Adding Eyeliner
Okay, I feel like this look actually needs eyeliner, even though that’s not always my go-to. I’m going to take this Makeup by Mario pencil in the shade “Perfect Brown” and just add some more dimension right up against that lash line.
A Stellar Mascara
Now, I’m going to take my Tower 28 mascara. I feel like I need to open a new bottle of this, and luckily they recently sent me one. This is one of my current favorite mascaras, it’s so beautiful. I’m going to really, really go in with this, focusing most of the product on the outer edge of that top lash.
Cleaning Up and Shaping
Okay, now I’m taking a makeup wipe and just cleaning up the fallout and also creating a little bit more shape in that outer edge. And then I always take my fingertip and I just pat that out so that it’s not too harsh, but we get that shape.
Skip the Primer?
Alright, for primer, I’m debating whether or not I should use primer because I feel like my skincare is still pretty fresh. Yeah, I think I actually might skip primer.
A Beautiful Foundation
I’m going to go into my Geron terracotta ltin Foundation. This is one of my current favorite foundations, it’s so beautiful. I’m just going to do one pump on the back of my hand and pick that up with my hourglass foundation brush. And then I’m going to start to blend this out all over the face.
Foundation: The Perfect Balance
I just love the coverage that this gives, but it’s so thin and really lightweight, but also long-lasting, which I love, so it just kind of checks off all the boxes. For me, not too matte, not too dewy, it’s such a beautiful foundation. I’m pressing that in with my sponge and…
Contour and Blush: The Versatile Stick
I want to use a cream contour stick, and I forgot that I had this and it’s one of my favorites. This is the Dibs double-sided contour and blush stick in shade 2.5. The contour and I love the blush as well. But the contour is such a perfect color. It gives the perfect amount of warmth and sculpt, in my opinion. I’m going to do a little precision sculpting, which is something new that I’ve been up to since trying this Nikki MBK Beauty N4 brush. It’s perfect for doing a really precise placement of your contour, so I’m just buffing and blending this all around the areas that I want a little more shape and structure.
Concealer: A Game-Changing Brush
Now I’m going to go into concealer. I’m actually going to put some on the back of my hand. I normally dollop it onto the face, but I kind of want to switch things up today. I am obsessed with the N16 brush from that same Nikki BK Beauty collection. Did I already say this? It’s the Natasha Denona concealer that’s what I’m using. I’m going to start placing and blending this out, starting with the under-eye area right here and then along the sides of the nose a little.
The Perfect Blend
The way that this brush blends out concealer is truly remarkable. It’s like a dream come true for flawless skin. After I’ve used the brush, I like to press the concealer into the skin with my sponge. It creates a seamless finish that I can’t live without.
Setting the Stage
Of course, I can’t forget to mention the Huda Beauty powder. It truly is a lifesaver. Today, I’m using the shade “cupcake” and applying it lightly under my eyes. I make sure to pick up just the right amount of product on my brush and tap off the excess onto my hand. This helps me avoid applying too much powder. I gently press and roll the powder under my eyes, ensuring that my makeup lasts all day and looks flawless.
A Flawless Finish
To make sure everything is well-blended, I take a fluffy brush and lightly tap it over the edges of my face. This step is crucial, especially since I’ll be applying bronzer and blush later on. I want to ensure that nothing skips or looks patchy.
Bronzed Beauty
Speaking of bronzer, I can’t help but rave about the ma Beauty bronzer. I’m completely obsessed with it. It’s the perfect shade and goes on so smoothly. Today, I’ll be using it on top of my cream contour, creating a beautiful bronzed look.
Eyes that Mesmerize
Now, let’s focus on the eyes. I’m debating between two options – a bright nude waterline or something a little more sultry using a dark brown pencil. After some contemplation, I’ve convinced myself to go for the sultry look. Taking the same pencil I used on my top lash line, I carefully line my waterline with the deep brown shade.
And there you have it, the only makeup I need right now. With these products and techniques, I can achieve a flawless and mesmerizing look. Whether it’s the perfect blend of concealer, the seamless setting with powder, or the bronzed beauty and sultry eyes, this makeup routine is all I need to feel confident and beautiful.
Smudging the Color
I love this color so much and then I’m taking that and smudging it between the lashes, focusing the product on that outer third of the lash line. And then I’m going to take this little smudger brush that we used on the top lid and I’m going to buff that out along the lower lash line – oh my gosh – I just hit my nose with it. Can we revive this with my sponge? Okay, I feel like that worked well. I’m just lightly taking a little concealer. You know, it happens, and I’m resetting that, adding some bronzer back down the nose. Okay, we’re back in business.
Adding a Bronzy Color
We’re going back into the Pat McGrath eyeshadow palette, and let’s see, what do we want to do here? I want to add a little bit of that bronzy color, so I’m going to take this color right here. And I’m actually taking that same brush, and let’s spray the brush for good measure. This is the Charlotte Tilbury setting spray. This will just allow it to adhere to my lower lash line a little better. I’m going to start in the center and then work my way into the inner corner.
Dusting off the Brush
A little okay, I’m going to dust off that same brush onto my Sigma switch, which, if you don’t have one of these, you really need one. I have it on my desk at all times. It just is great for switching colors on your brushes.
The Perfect Highlight
I recently learned from makeup artist Nikki L Rose a new technique for highlighting that has completely changed my routine. Instead of just applying highlighter to my inner corner, I now highlight a bit further in, almost on the sides of my nose. It may seem unusual, but I found that it creates a gorgeous effect, so I’m making it a regular part of my makeup routine.
Elevating the Brow Bone
To give my brows a lift, I use a champagne shade and apply it to my brow bone. This little trick instantly makes my brows look more defined and groomed.
Mascara Magic
No makeup look is complete without mascara, so I reach for my trusty Tower 28 mascara. I apply it to my lower lashes to create a subtle and natural look. The combination of mascara on both the upper and lower lashes really opens up my eyes.
A Special Touch
Using a brown liner in the waterline adds a unique and special touch to the overall look. It adds depth and intensity to the eyes, making them stand out even more.
Bronzer Balance
After finishing the eye makeup, I notice the need for more bronzer to match the contrast of the eyes. Adding a bit of bronzer helps to balance the overall look and gives me that radiant and sun-kissed glow.
The Lips Dilemma
Now comes the decision between dollia and Lily shades for the lips. Both options would look amazing, but it’s a matter of going for a warm or cool-toned rosy look. Maybe I can mix both shades together for a unique blend that compliments this particular makeup look.
The Perfect Lip Look
When it comes to my favorite lip colors, I have to admit that I am currently leaning towards Lily. Don’t get me wrong, I have loved dollia for a long time too. It’s like picking a favorite child, but since I only have one, I can only imagine the dilemma. But for now, Lily is my go-to.
To achieve a super contoured look, I opt for the Makeup Forever Endless Cacao lip liner. Its cool tones create the perfect shape and definition for my lips. After shaping them, I layer on Lily, followed by a touch of Dollia. This combination allows Lily to add warmth without overpowering the eyes.
Lily is truly one of my favorites because it never competes with heavier eye makeup. Mixed with the Endless Cacao lip liner, it creates a stunning lip look that I can’t get enough of. But to give it a hint of pink, I like to go over it with a touch of Dollia. It adds a subtle mauve tint that elevates the overall look.
A Customized Blush
Now, let’s talk about cheeks. I absolutely adore the Bobbi Brown blushes, and I want to create a look that’s not too intense. That’s why I think I’ll stick to just one shade. I want to make sure it’s not overpowering, so I might need to mix a few shades together to create a unique concoction.
The Perfect Blush
One lets see how this looks. This is powder pink, its like peachy, pinky, color and Im going to take that on the bottom of my sponge and tap it onto the back of my hand, hand first and then Im going to smile and apply that to the cheeks, oh yeah. This is like the perfect color for this look cuz. I feel like Im, getting just the right amount of warmth, but its not competing with the eyes or the lips, its just complimenting everything plus. I love like the balmy finish that this gives. I rarely wear highlighter when I wear this blush and it blends out beautifully on top of powders, which is like the best okay. I love that lets see.
Do we need highlight?
Lets assess the situation. Do we feel like we need highlight? I almost feel like we dont. I actually did my brow gel first Im, trying like new things makeup by kellyanne, always does that and a lot of other people but Im in such a habit, especially with my brows. So I wanted to try that today. So the brow gel is already in um lets see.
Final Touch
Is there anything else I want to add or subtract? I actually think I could take a little bit of a fluffy brush and just go into a little bit of these two right here. I just want a little bit more of a soft line, not too much cuz. I do actually really like, like the kind of precision there, but I want just this little hint of like blended.
The ONE Makeup I Need Right Now
After considering all the options, I have come to the realization that the only makeup I need right now is the perfect blush. Its powder pink shade with peachy undertones gives me just the right amount of warmth without overpowering my eyes or lips. The balmy finish of this blush complements my overall look, and I rarely feel the need to wear highlighter when I have this on. The best part is that it blends seamlessly with powders, creating a beautifully blended effect. It’s truly the best blush I’ve ever tried. I even experimented with doing my brow gel first, a technique that makeup by kellyanne recommends. Although I’m used to doing my brows first, I wanted to switch things up and see how it would work. Surprisingly, it turned out great. And as a final touch, I decided to softly blend two shades using a fluffy brush to add a hint of dimension to my look. With just these few steps, I achieve a flawless and natural appearance. This is the only makeup I need right now.

Creating Color and Shape
I guess is that a word: it is now. Im also taking what’s left on that brush and kind of feathering a little bit of that pinkish shadow right in here, up to the brow, just to create a little bit of color and shape.
Setting the Face
Okay, I think we’re good to go, we’re going to set the face and let’s use Charlotte Tilbury, because it’s just always foolproof and it’s what I love on a daily basis. I’m going to douse my face in this and then let that kind of dry halfway. The amount of setting spray I’ve probably inhaled in my life, I don’t even want to know, actually it’s probably an appalling amount. I try not to breathe it in, but I just douse my face with so much of it that it’s hard not to. The things we do for beauty, right?
Pressing in the Setting Spray
I’m just pressing that into the skin, and you can see how it just melts the powders in place. And then, also when you press it in, I feel like it helps the setting spray be pushed into the makeup a little bit more, so it lasts longer and looks more natural.
The Completed Look
Alright, you guys, that completes this look. This is exactly what I was hoping to feel like at the end of this video. I just wanted to do like a classic tutorial feeling kind of a video where the end result is just something pretty and classic with a little bit of glam.
The ONLY Makeup I Need Right Now…
