In my Sephora haul, I picked up two primers that caught my interest. The first one is called “The Thirst” by Milk Makeup. It’s their pore eclipse mattifying primer. The packaging, with its sleek black design, instantly appealed to me. I couldn’t resist getting it for my upcoming primer showdown video. As a fan of the milk hydrogrip primer, I wanted to try out this new addition to their primer range.
Skincare
Moving on to skincare, I have to admit that I didn’t go overboard this time. There just weren’t as many products that I felt I needed in my collection. However, there are a few items that caught my eye. One of them is the Sunday Riley Good Genes All-In-One Lactic Acid Treatment. I’ve heard so many positive reviews about this product, and I couldn’t resist giving it a try. Lactic acid is known for its exfoliating properties, and I’m excited to see the results on my skin.
Next up is the Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream. As someone with dry skin, I’m always on the lookout for moisturizers that provide intense hydration. This cream claims to improve the appearance of skin texture and firmness while delivering long-lasting moisture. I’m eager to see if it lives up to the hype.
Hair Care
When it comes to hair care, I have a few staples that I always repurchase. One of them is the Olaplex No. 3 Hair Perfector. This treatment has been a game-changer for me in terms of repairing and strengthening my hair. I use it once a week, and it has made a noticeable difference in the health of my hair.
Another product I decided to try out is the Moroccanoil Treatment. This iconic hair oil is known for its ability to nourish and tame frizzy hair. I’ve heard great things about it, and I’m curious to see if it will make a difference in my hair’s manageability.
Body Care
Lastly, I couldn’t resist picking up a few body care items. One of them is the Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream. This cult-favorite cream promises to tighten and smooth the skin, leaving it feeling incredibly soft. The tropical scent is also a bonus.
Another body care product I added to my haul is the Herbivore Coco Rose Coconut Oil Body Polish. This luxurious scrub combines coconut oil and Moroccan rose to exfoliate and moisturize the skin. I can’t wait to indulge in a spa-like experience with this product.

The Primer Haul
I recently went on a shopping spree at Sephora during their VIB Sale 2023, and one of the items I picked up was a primer. Now, this primer is not the same as the popular hydr grip primer. It claims to lock in makeup, blur pores, and control shine. On the other hand, I also purchased a face primer from refi, called the glow and sculpt face primer. I couldn’t help but wonder why they named it in that order. Shouldn’t it be called the face primer glow and sculpt instead? It’s a bit perplexing, but I decided to give it a try anyway.
The Temptation to Buy
Initially, I wasn’t planning on buying the glow and sculpt face primer. I had seen someone, maybe it was Whitney Simmons on TikTok, raving about how it gives a dewy finish to the skin. However, considering that I have oily skin, I was a bit skeptical. I thought, “Maybe this isn’t for me.” But then, the temptation kicked in. I really wanted to experience the unique roller-like applicator it had. It looked cool, even though I know deep down it’s probably just a gimmick.
The Primer Showdown
With these two primers in my shopping bag, I knew I had to put them to the test. I decided to do a primer showdown and compare their performances side by side. But as I began planning the video, I realized it might be too much to fit into one video. There are just so many different types of primers out there. There are the smoothing pore-blurring primers, the glowy-dewy primers, and also the flawless filter primers that give a highlighting effect. So, I might have to split the primer showdown into at least two, if not three videos.

Foundation: A Product Revisited
Moving on to Foundation. I have one product to show you and it’s actually a product that I already showed you in a VIB sale. Haul video exactly a year ago, so I remember picking this up when I still lived in Chicago, which feels like 5 years ago.
I don’t know how that was only last year, but I remember running to the Michigan AV Sephora purchasing this Foundation, along with everything else for that sale and then sitting down to film a hall in my old Chicago Apartment. It is the the house Labs Foundation.
I was really excited to try this, but I ended up just not loving the shade on my skin. It was just a little off, and so because of that I was never reaching for the foundation, because I would have to manipulate it with different cream products like concealers or bronzers, to try to get it to match my skin perfectly.
I just remember it being a little bit off and so because of that I never wanted to reach for the foundation, because I ended up being a hassle to try to match to my skin with other cream products. So I gave that one away, but after my amazing experience with the newer house, Labs concealer, I really wanted to try this again.
I know that this is something that so many people love.

House Labs Concealer in Action
After falling in love with the concealer from House Labs, I decided to explore more products from the brand. In my quest to find a better shade match, I also picked up a lighter shade of the concealer. You can see the shade I already own, which is my self-tanner shade, in my recent concealer showdown video. I’ll provide the link in the description box below.
Since the shade I currently have may be a little too dark for my fair skin, I wanted to find a better match for my pasty complexion. I went to Sephora to swatch the shades and to determine the best fit. However, I had a hard time finding the perfect match. Nevertheless, I’m excited to see how this new shade, 05 Fair Peach, works for me. I’ll keep you all updated on the results. Regardless, I have high expectations for this amazing concealer and couldn’t resist adding it to my collection.
Exploring More House Labs Products
Based on my positive experience with the House Labs concealer, I couldn’t resist trying out other products from the brand. The concealer was a game-changer, and I wanted to see if the rest of their line could live up to the hype.
New Discoveries
In addition to House Labs, I stumbled upon some other exciting products during my Sephora haul. The VIB sale was the perfect opportunity to explore different brands and find new favorites.
Budget-Friendly Purchases
While some products were splurges, I also managed to find some great budget-friendly options. It’s always a pleasant surprise to find high-quality products that don’t break the bank.
Trying Out the Power Sculped Velvet Bronzer
I was just so impressed that I was like. I simply must try literally everything else they have. So I thought I would start with these two products instead of buying everything from the brand all at once. I picked up their bronzer and highlight so this is their power sculped velvet bronzer. That sounds just Divine and I got the shade L level one. I am definitely trying to find my perfect bronzer shade for again this pasty complexion I feel like there are a lot of light bronzers out there these days, whereas before the issue was that I could never find anything light enough now I can find things that are Light enough, but a lot of them still pull a little bit too orange on me, so Im wanting to find something: thats, not as orangey just more neutral – and this looked perfect for that.
So I have High Hopes about this. I am so excited to try. I dont know what that was.
Excitement Over the New Highlight Shade
I guess Ive already tried the bior radiant gel powder highlighter, you guys know. I am obsessed obsessed with this highlight in the shade rose quartz, but Ive been primarily using this as a blush topper and not more of a concentrated highlight. So I wanted to pick up an actual highlight shade. Oh my God look at this. This is the shade Sunstone. It looks unbelievably beautiful wow. Also. I really love this iridescent white packaging. I think its so pretty so yeah.
The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer
I picked up another bronzer from the Sephora VIB sale, the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer. This bronzer is a favorite of mine and I even mentioned it in my top makeup favorites video. However, the shade I previously owned was a bit too dark for my skin tone, so I decided to try a lighter shade called Luminous Bronze Light.
A New Era with Makeup
Lately, I’ve been gravitating towards powders that give my skin a diffused and softly glowy finish. I find products with a subtle pearlescence in their formula to be incredibly beautiful. These powders don’t give you a beaming highlight all over your face, but rather a natural and radiant look. The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer fits this description perfectly and I’m excited to incorporate it into my makeup routine.
A Limited Blush Haul
I’ve been trying to control my blush addiction, so I only allowed myself to purchase two blushes during the sale. Over the past year, there has been an influx of new blush launches which made it hard for me to resist buying every shade I wanted. However, I managed to exercise restraint this time and picked out only the two blushes that I truly loved.

Javoni Blush in Organza Cen
I stuck to two, but this is a blush I’ve been wanting for months now, because I actually already have it in another shade. It is the newer Javoni blush and the shade that I currently own is the extra pink shade, which is Tafida Ros, and the shade that I have had my eye on is Organza Cen. This is more like a cinnamon-toned blush, with a bit more brown in it. Obviously, there’s some orange in there, but when it’s all mixed together, I feel like it doesn’t look straight up orange on the cheeks, which is not something that I wanted. Shockingly, I’m super into more of the brownish cinnamon-toned blushes lately, especially just because of this time of year. But I feel like it’s so pretty, so I had to get my hands on that. I’m excited to see how that actually looks on my skin, hopefully it’s good.
Patrick Ta Blush in She Flushed
The other blush I picked up is the Patrick Ta blush in the shade She Flushed. In my mind, I was also considering this to be a cinnamon blush, but why can I never open these every time? Okay, yeah. I would still consider this to be a cinnamon blush. I feel like the shade on the package is definitely pulling more pinky, whereas in this, it’s not. This shade is absolutely stunning. I swatched it in Sephora and I was immediately obsessed with it. I just think it’s beautiful and Patrick Ta blushes are so so pretty, but I do not love the two shades that I have on my skin.
The Sephora VIB Sale allowed me to add two beautiful blushes to my collection. The Javoni blush in Organza Cen is a cinnamon-toned blush with hints of brown and orange, which I believe will be perfect for this time of year. On the other hand, the Patrick Ta blush in She Flushed is also a cinnamon blush, though it has a more pinky undertone. While I fell in love with the shade in the Sephora store, I’m not sure if it will suit my skin tone. Regardless, I’m excited to experiment with these new additions and see how they enhance my makeup looks.

She a doll and She so la
I actually think I picked those up during last year’s Sephora VIB sale as well. Here I’ll just show you. This one is “She a doll,” and this one is “She so la.” While they are both beautiful shades, I feel like they just are not quite right for my skin tone. Like, I can make them work if I want to, but I never love the way that they look when I put them on. So, I wanted to pick one up that I felt like I would actually wear all the time.
Highlighter – Give Check My Glow Multi Dimensional Illuminating Highlighter
Alright, two more makeup products before we move on to other categories. The first is a highlighter that I said I was not going to buy every time I saw someone talking about this. I was like, “It looks beautiful, but I don’t need it. I don’t need it. Don’t buy it.” But, I bought it. It is the “Give Check My Glow Multi Dimensional Illuminating Highlighter.”
Ooh, fun packaging! Again, I absolutely do not need this, but the reason why I ended up purchasing it is because it fits into that category of makeup that I was just talking about. Very softly dimensional, inner glow kind of thing. Not overly intense. And I’ve just heard really great things about this, so I thought the sale would be the best time to give it a whir.
Milk Makeup Odyssey Lip Oil Gloss
Last for makeup is from Milk Makeup. It is the “Odyssey Lip Oil Gloss,” which I don’t even a little bit need. Look at this.

Lip Products
One of the products I bought during the Sephora VIB Sale 2023 is the Work Trip lip gloss. I know some of you may think I already have similar shades, but I couldn’t resist buying it after receiving a request to review it. Lip products are my weakness, especially glossy ones. Let’s swatch it together and see how it looks. Wait, this scent is so familiar, but I can’t quite place it. Alright, let’s try it on. Like every other lip product I try, it feels nice, and it has a balmy gloss texture. However, I’m not obsessed with this shade. It appears more peachy on me than it does in the tube. Oh well, the shade may be a fail, but the formula feels great.
Skincare
Moving on to skincare, the first item I purchased is the deep water nourishing lip mask from K Skin. I decided to try this because I love the texture and finish of their SPF lip balm, although I can’t recall the exact name.
Sephora Haul: Lip SPF Showdown
One of the products I bought from the Sephora VIB Sale 2023 was a lip SPF. I included it in my lip SPF Showdown, which I will list below. The only issue I had with this product is that it heavily tastes of chemical sunscreen. It’s something that I just don’t find myself reaching for because I know I’ll get that gross aftertaste. However, I really love the feel of it, so I’m hoping this mask is something similar without that gross taste.
Moisturizers I Couldn’t Resist
I have been eyeing two different moisturizers, so I thought this sale would be a great time to buy them. First is the Tower 28 SOS daily barrier recovery cream. I was initially drawn to it because it says SOS, just like their SOS spray, which I love. However, I was disappointed to find out that it doesn’t contain hypochlorous acid like the spray. Nevertheless, it has other nice hydrating and calming ingredients, so I thought I would still give it a whirl because it has really nice reviews.
Next is a product from Lawless. I feel like this is not something I would normally purchase, but there was something about it that had me real curious. It’s the hydrating plumping, smoothing, perfecting cream from their Forget the Filler line. I mean, of course, all those claims sound amazing. I don’t expect it to miraculously delete fine lines, but I do think it might make a really nice moisturizing primer. That’s why I was so intrigued by it and wanted to try it out. Let’s take a closer look at it.
Sephora Haul: Hand Creams That I Can’t Get Enough Of
I couldn’t resist getting my hands on not one, but two of the So de Janeiro Brazilian touch hand creams during the Sephora VIB Sale 2023. These hand creams are my absolute favorite, and I refuse to settle for anything else. The scent, which I believe is called kosa (or is it?), is simply divine. I know some of you might disagree and comment otherwise, but trust me, this fragrance is original and totally addictive. What’s even better is that this hand cream is non-greasy and absorbs quickly into the skin. No more slippery, wet hands for me!
A Perfume That Enhances Every Fragrance
I also couldn’t resist adding another fragrance to my collection. This time, it’s the Juliet Has a Gun Vanilla Vibes. I’ve been obsessed with the original Juliet Has a Gun fragrance for a while now, especially when layering it with other scents. It just blends so perfectly and adds a touch of sophistication. And let’s not forget, I have a weakness for vanilla fragrances. So you can imagine how excited I was to discover that this fragrance combines both my favorites. To be cautious, I opted for the mini travel version to test out before committing to a full-sized bottle. Better safe than sorry, right?

Fresh Floral Fragrance: A Springy Scent
This fragrance I bought from the Sephora VIB sale is described as a fresh floral with keynotes of sea salt, natural vanilla, and sandalwood. It’s not your typical sweet vanilla scent, but rather a very fresh and spring-like fragrance. It’s ironic that I bought this right before winter, but I think it will layer beautifully with other scents, such as Karolina Herrera, to add a touch of freshness. So, I decided to keep it along with the other fragrance I bought in a smaller size.
Unisex Fragrance: Jakes House by Henry Rose
I also purchased a fragrance from the brand Henry Rose called Jakes House. This brand is known for its unisex scents, and it’s categorized as genderless on Sephora’s website. I must admit, the packaging is a bit perplexing with its claw-like design, but the fragrance itself is intriguing. It’s described as a fresh aquatic scent, which is new for me as I don’t own any fragrances in the aquatic family. The keynotes of this fragrance are marine citrus and musk, which might not sound like something I would enjoy, but I was pleasantly surprised when I smelled it in the store. However, when I tried it again at home, it didn’t smell the same as I remembered. It’s still a good scent, but I can’t help but wonder what happened here. Perhaps my perception has changed, or maybe something else influenced the way it smells. It’s a bit of a mystery, but overall, it still has a pleasant scent to me.
I can’t help but think of a tiny baby when I smell this fragrance. It has a comforting and innocent quality, like the scent you would associate with a baby. It’s a shame that it’s so dark in the area where I am, as I can’t see my little furball running around. However, I’m planning to change that soon to make it brighter and more visible.

Sephora Fragrance
I recently purchased a new fragrance from Sephora during their VIB Sale. This fragrance has been receiving a lot of hype, and everyone seems to love it! As I sprayed it on my skin, I noticed that it had a unique scent that was different from what I usually wear. I liked the idea that this fragrance is supposed to be layerable, allowing me to create my own customized scent. However, I’m still unsure if I truly love it. I will have to continue wearing it and see how it develops on my skin. I’ll keep you posted on whether it becomes a staple in my perfume collection.
