Review of TIKTOK *VIRAL* Korean Skincare

I tried TIKTOK *VIRAL* Korean skincare… an honest review (Not sponsored)

Introduction to Korean Skincare Trend on TikTok

This is c new. If you search for Korean skincare on Tik Tok, there are so many products saying this is the secret of Korean womens glass skin. When you apply this, your skin is going to be amazing. Even I, a skincare expert. Is that real? I know it must be an advertisement, but is it really working so I bought it myself and used it for a few months. I also went to the large Pur, just olivan kangnam headquarter in Korea to see what product they sell in and whether they are popular Im, not sponsor so theres. No reason for me to lie.

Testing Sunscreen Products

Sunscreen actually doesnt have the right answer. Of course, Asian sunscreen is generally mild and has great ingredients. It has a great application and is an advanced formula, but I would like to inform you that this may not be the right answer for everyone. All of the products Im going to introduce are chemical sunscreens. I tried Korean skincare superstar, Beauty of Jan sunscreen, and Round laap sunscreen.

Review of Serums

The serums I tested were promising. Korean skincare serums are known for their hydrating and brightening properties. I tried three different serums and observed their effects on my skin over time. The results were interesting and worth mentioning.

Evaluation of Toner Products

Toners are an essential part of the Korean skincare routine. I tested three different toners with varying ingredients and formulations. The toners had different effects on my skin, and Ill share my experiences with each of them in this review.

Laab Sunscreen

Laab is oliv Youngs bestselling sunscreen in South Korea. In fact, these two were made by the same manufacturer called Colmar. It’s really similar, just like twins, right? It’s hard to tell even if you do a blind test with experts. Laab’s sunscreen is not sticky, has no whitening effect, and glides smoothly on the skin.

Skin One4 Sunscreen

Another sunscreen I tried is the Skin One4 sunscreen. I love their packaging because it’s a pump type, making it easier to squeeze and use. However, it was my least favorite of the three as it was too dry for my skin. This product is the lightest of the three and tends to evaporate quickly. It doesn’t leave any white cast and has no strong scent.

Other Sunscreens

While I don’t intend to repurchase all three sunscreens, I have found a more moisturizing and cost-effective alternative. Recently, I’ve been using the p Aqua Rich watery sunscreen, a Japanese brand. It is the most moisturizing sunscreen I’ve ever tried. I also enjoy using the Skin ad Up sunscreen, which is a top Korean brand. It is easy to apply and feels like a moisturizer, leaving no white cast behind.

Kar X Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence

Now, let’s move on to the serum, the most famous product on TikTok Kar X Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence. This serum has a sticky texture that resembles snail mucin when you apply it. While it takes a while to absorb into the skin, the stickiness fades away quickly, and you won’t feel anything on your skin after a short period.

Snail line at Oliv Young

The funny thing is, there is no snail line at all in the corner of Oliv Young here in Kangnam. It’s not a product Koreans will like at all. It doesn’t absorb well, which means it doesn’t last long enough for dry skin to fully benefit from it.

Jan Glow Serum Propolis

Korean people also care about vegan cosmetics, so snail products are not ideal. I decided to try the Jan Glow Serum Propolis instead. When applying it on my face, I found it to be very lightweight and perfect for oily skin. However, it felt a bit sticky and dried out quickly. In order to see the full effects of this product, you’d need to use it consistently for a month or two. Unfortunately, the bottle size is too small compared to other serums available in K-Beauty.

Karx Vitamin C Serum

Moving on to the Karx Vitamin C Serum, it claims to be good for exfoliation but I found it more suitable for hydrating purposes. Despite this, it did its job well in keeping my skin moisturized. The simplicity of its ingredients is what makes this product stand out. With only four ingredients, it’s perfect for those with sensitive skin. Having fewer ingredients reduces the likelihood of any adverse reactions, making it a safe choice for those with delicate skin.

The Power of Vitamin C

I love love this one. If you’re over 25 years old, I definitely recommend it. Vitamin C can be synthesiz in your body, so you have to eat it or apply it. It clears your complexion and is the best anti aging ingredient for fading acne scars and hyperpigmentation, but its expensive skin sules, which dermatologists use cost about 200 a bottle but its too expensive to apply consistently. And do you know that amoda Pacific acquired kerx in 2023, this product is said to have been developed jointly with amoda Pacific and the price has decreased a little. There are 13 and 23 of them, but if they’re too sensitive so its not that different, but you can try from 13 what I just dont like about the vitamin C when I was younger, is some product are so yellow. Whenever I apply it, I look like a SpongeBob, of course, its a vitamin C. It has a smell its like not easy to apply it. However, this product has a little bit oil layer, so actually you have to mix it mix it before you apply it. Of course it has a scent. I think this is bearable overall, I love it so much and I think its a worse, a hype were going to move on to the toner.

Anua Toner: A Mystery to Me

First toner is anua toner. I just don’t understand why this is popular, its just water. The texture is very watery, so it’s in convenient to apply it with your hands, it’s much easier to use it to wipe off your face by wetting it with a cutton pad even after cleansing.

First Impressions

Upon trying the Toner Pads that have been making their rounds on TikTok, I found that they left a residue on my skin. This prompted me to cleanse my face once more and follow up with moisturizer. However, I noticed that for individuals with thin skin or redness on their cheeks, the continuous rubbing of the face with the cotton pad can lead to increased redness and skin irritation.

My Experience with the Toner

While testing out the toner on my face, I observed that it dried out quickly, which made it a bit challenging to work with. Ultimately, I came to the that there are various other water-type toners available in the market with similar quality. Therefore, I see no reason to stick with this specific toner, especially given the drying issue.

Im from Rice Toner

Next, I tried the popular ‘Im from Rice Toner’. Initially, I was curious about the hype surrounding this product. Upon application, I could see why it has garnered such popularity. It has a unique texture that resembles rice, which sets it apart from other toners. However, considering the size of the product in comparison to its price, I found it to be on the expensive side.

The Most Recommended Toner for Dry and Mature Skin

Out of the three skincare products I tried from the viral TikTok trend, the toner is the one that stood out the most for me. As someone with dry, mature skin over the age of 35, heading towards my 40s and 50s, I highly recommend this product, especially for individuals with thin skin. Unlike regular toners that tend to dry out my skin, this product is highly concentrated and feels more like a serum.

Application Tip for Optimal Results

For best results, I recommend applying the toner with your hands rather than using cotton pads. Gently press it onto your face after cleansing, allowing it to absorb fully. The toner leaves the skin feeling fresh and moisturized, without any sticky residue. It’s the perfect first step in your skincare routine.

Potential Sensitivity Warning

It’s important to note that this toner is made with over 50 fermented ingredients, which may cause reactions in some individuals. If you have sensitive skin, be sure to do a patch test before using the product all over your face. Everyone’s skin is different, so what works for one person may not be suitable for another.

Confusion in the Skincare Market

With so many beauty influencers and YouTubers promoting various products, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and confused about what to buy. As a skincare newbie, it can be challenging to navigate the world of beauty products and find what truly works for your skin. This toner, however, comes highly recommended and may be a good starting point for those unsure of where to begin.

The Allure of Korean Skincare

Korean skincare products have been gaining popularity worldwide, thanks to their innovative formulations and impressive results. Korean women are known for their flawless skin, which has piqued the interest of beauty enthusiasts around the globe. Walking into a Korean cosmetic store can feel like entering a candy land of beauty products, but don’t be discouraged by the vast array of options. With a bit of research and experimentation, you may just find the perfect skincare routine for your skin type.

Exploring TIKTOK Viral Korean Skincare Trends

When it comes to skincare, there’s always a new trend popping up, especially on platforms like TIKTOK. As a skincare enthusiast, I decided to dive into the world of TIKTOK viral Korean skincare products to see what the hype was all about.

Unboxing and Trying Out Products

I must admit, the excitement of receiving a package filled with skincare goodies is unmatched. I eagerly unboxed the products, each one promising to transform my skin and give me that coveted Korean glass skin look. From serums to sheet masks, my skincare routine was about to get a major upgrade.

Following the Skincare Routine

I diligently followed the skincare routine that had been all the rage on TIKTOK. Double cleansing, exfoliating, toning, and layering on multiple serums – I did it all. The routine was elaborate, but I was willing to put in the effort if it meant achieving flawless skin.

Overall, my experience with these viral Korean skincare products was a mixed bag. While each product had its own strengths and weaknesses, there were definitely better options available in the market. When it comes to skincare, it’s important to find products that suit your skin type and address your specific concerns. Always do your research and listen to your skin’s needs before making a purchase decision.

Ultimately, while ‘Im from Rice Toner’ is from one of my favorite brands, I do not see myself repurchasing it. For those with oily skin, I would recommend the earlier toner I discussed. As for individuals with dry skin, I would suggest exploring other options that may be more suitable for your skin type.

After weeks of using the TIKTOK viral Korean skincare products, I can say that I saw some improvements in my skin. My complexion looked brighter, and my skin felt more hydrated. However, I couldn’t help but wonder if the results were solely due to the products or if my consistency in following a strict skincare routine also played a role.

Final Thoughts

Trying out TIKTOK viral Korean skincare products was an interesting experience. While I enjoyed the process and saw positive changes in my skin, I can’t say that these products are necessarily life-changing. Skincare is a personal journey, and what works for one person may not work for another. Ultimately, it’s important to find what works best for your skin and stick to a routine that suits your needs.
