Powder Roundup: My Current Favorite Powders | Hung Vanngo

Introduction

Welcome to my YouTube channel today, Im going to do an episode about powder, so I will do about pressed powder and loose powder as well, and these are some of my favorite from all the powders that Ive been using or I have a chance to try before

When it comes to beauty products, we often come across similar items at different price points. People might assume that cheaper alternatives are exactly the same as their pricier counterparts, but that’s not always the case. Factors like cheap labor, ingredients, and packaging can contribute to the difference in price. However, it’s important not to discredit brands that strive to create beautiful products just because they have affordable options. Let’s take a look at a roundup of my current favorite powders and their similarities.

Pressed Powder for Those Who Don’t Like Powder

Of course, there are so many Brands out there that I dont have a chance to try them all, and you can always leave a comment of what you tried before that you love what I like doesnt mean what you will like. I only share my opinion and my team opinion and you can take my tips on my advice about these powder. Maybe you dont, like you, dont, have to use them. These are just what Im sharing Im going to talk about pressed powder first, the first one. I will talk about is for someone who do not like powder like who do not like powder at all.

Importance of Powder in Makeup Routine

I know a lot of us will stuck in the old days that you think when you put a little powder on the face that will Aid you or make you look older for myself. I love powder. I think that you know it set the makeup. Well, it blur the skin out is great for Red Carpet, you know a little powder and it just helps to blur out. I mean beautifully when someone go on the red carpet with the light you dont get all those shiny from The Flash, so each person will like differently what type how do they like, but I just give some of the suggestions and I hope you will try one Of these here.

My Current Favorite Pressed Powder

The first one, as I said already, is for someone who do not like powder. This powder is great for those who prefer a lightweight feel and natural finish. It goes on smoothly, blurring imperfections and setting the makeup without looking cakey or heavy. It’s the perfect option for those who want a barely-there makeup look while still enjoying the benefits of a setting powder.

Loose Powder for Flawless Finish

Moving on to loose powder, this type of powder is perfect for achieving a flawless finish. It has a finer texture compared to pressed powder, allowing it to easily blend into the skin and give a seamless appearance. Loose powder is great for setting the entire face and controlling shine throughout the day. It also helps to minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines, giving you a smooth and airbrushed look.

My Current Favorite Loose Powder

One of my current favorite loose powders is XYZ brand. It has a lightweight formula that feels weightless on the skin. It offers a natural, matte finish without looking dull or flat. This powder is perfect for all skin types and provides long-lasting oil control. It keeps the makeup in place all day without feeling heavy or cakey. It’s a must-have for achieving a flawless complexion.

The Importance of Trying Different Powders

Remember, everyone’s preferences and skin types are different, so what works for me may not work for you. It’s always important to try different powders to find the one that suits your needs and gives you the desired finish. Don’t be afraid to experiment and find your holy grail powder. There are so many

Ray Morris Invisible Mattifier Powder

This powder from Ray Morris is touted as being invisible and acts more as a mattifier than a traditional powder. It offers a solution for those who prefer a dewy skin look but find that excessive shine can make them appear greasy in photographs. By using just a touch of this powder, either all over or in specific areas prone to flash, such as the T-zone, you can ensure that your makeup looks flawless without appearing overly powdery.

Perfect for Makeup-Free Shoots

For fashion shoots where the photographer wants a makeup-free look, this powder is a perfect choice. It allows you to touch up specific areas without adding any visible product to the skin. This can be particularly helpful when working with photographers who have a zero-tolerance policy for even a drop of powder. With the Ray Morris Invisible Mattifier Powder, you can use a small sponge to apply it to targeted areas, making it virtually undetectable to the naked eye.

Colorless and Transparent

Created by an Australian makeup artist, this powder is completely colorless and transparent. It has a clear gel-like texture and offers no additional coverage. This makes it ideal for those who prefer a more natural, no-makeup look. The velvety finish it provides adds a touch of polish without sacrificing the fresh-faced appearance many desire.

Perfect for Men

In addition to its suitability for a no-makeup look, the Ray Morris Invisible Mattifier Powder is also a hit among men. Its transparent formula and lightweight texture make it a go-to option for those looking to reduce shine and mattify their skin without adding any additional color or coverage. Whether used alone or as a finishing touch to a full makeup look, this powder offers a quick and easy solution for those seeking a fresh and polished appearance.

A Versatile Favorite

Overall, the Ray Morris Invisible Mattifier Powder is a versatile favorite among makeup enthusiasts. Its ability to adapt to a range of needs, from touching up specific areas to creating a no-makeup look, makes it a must-have in any beauty arsenal. The colorless and transparent formula ensures that it complements any skin tone, while the velvety finish adds a touch of refinement. Whether you’re a professional makeup artist or simply someone who enjoys experimenting with different products, this powder is definitely worth considering for your collection.

A similar product at a lower cost. It’s not fair to compare them as exact dupes because there will be differences in ingredients and quality, but if you’re looking for a more affordable option, the N7 from number seven is a good choice.

Moving on to the next powder, which is the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder. This is a cult favorite in the beauty industry, and for good reason. It gives a beautiful, airbrushed finish and helps to prolong the wear of your makeup. The powder is incredibly finely milled, so it never looks heavy or cakey on the skin. It also doesn’t flashback in photos, which is a major plus. The only drawback to this powder is that it only comes in one shade, so it may not be suitable for all skin tones.

If you’re looking for a setting powder specifically for under the eyes, the Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Powder is a great option. It comes in a range of shades, so you can find the perfect match for your skin tone. This powder is designed to set the under eye area and prevent creasing, and it does an excellent job at that. It’s lightweight and finely milled, so it sets your concealer without looking heavy or cakey. Plus, the packaging is super cute and luxurious.

For those with oily skin, the Fenty Beauty Invisimatte Blotting Powder is a must-have. This powder is specifically designed to control oil and keep shine at bay. It’s a translucent powder, so it works for all skin tones. The formula is lightweight and mattifying, so it keeps your skin looking fresh and matte throughout the day. It’s also great for touch-ups on the go, as it comes in a compact with a mirror.

If you prefer a pressed powder, the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Pressed Powder is a great option. This powder gives a smooth, blurring effect to the skin and helps to set your makeup in place. It’s finely milled, so it never looks cakey or heavy on the skin. It comes in a range of shades, including a translucent option, so you can find the perfect match for your skin tone. Plus, the compact is sleek and travel-friendly.

Finally, we have the Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting Powder. This powder is known for its blurring and soft-focus effect on the skin. It’s incredibly lightweight and finely milled, so it sets your makeup without adding any extra weight or texture to the skin. It also helps to prolong the wear of your makeup and control shine throughout the day. The packaging is also beautiful and luxurious, making it a joy to use.

These are my current favorite powders that I highly recommend trying out. Whether you’re looking for a setting powder, a blurring powder, or a powder specifically for oily skin, there’s something here for everyone. Remember, finding the right powder for your skin may require some trial and error, but once you find the perfect one, it can truly transform your makeup routine.

Number Seven Powder

If you’re looking for a product that provides a similar feel to a higher-end powder, the number seven powder is a great option. While it’s not an exact dupe, it does offer a comparable experience. One noteworthy aspect is that they now offer a refillable version, which makes it more consumer-friendly and environmentally conscious. The glue used to secure the powder was previously difficult to remove, but now it’s much easier to pop out and refill the powder while keeping the same compact.

Chanel Le Beige Healthy Glow Sheer Powder

Another powder that has caught my attention is the Chanel Le Beige Healthy Glow Sheer Powder. This powder is not only beautiful but also versatile. You can use it as a setting powder or even as a bronzer if you choose a deeper shade. The formula of this powder is quite sheer and easy to blend, making it a great option for achieving a natural, healthy glow.

The Versatile Bronzer: NARS Radiant Powder

NARS Radiant Powder is not just your typical bronzer. It can also be used as a pressed powder due to its radiant finish. The pigment in this powder is truly beautiful, making it a must-have in my makeup kit. With seven shades to choose from, I personally use the darker shade for a subtle contour. Its versatility is unmatched.

Gucci Matte Beauty Powder: Light Coverage at its Best

For those who prefer a light coverage without using foundation, Gucci Matte Beauty Powder is the perfect choice. It has a natural finish that can be built up for more coverage if desired. It even comes with a powder puff for easy application. With 10 shades available, you can find the perfect match for your skin tone. The packaging is also incredibly beautiful.

The Cooling Sensation: MAC Refined Skin Finish Water-Based Loose Powder

MAC Refined Skin Finish Water-Based Loose Powder is a special formula that is ideal for those who are not fond of powders. Its water-based formula not only provides a natural finish but also leaves a cooling sensation when applied. It feels like there is no powder at all on your skin. Whether you prefer using the included puff or a brush, this powder will leave you feeling hydrated and refreshed.

Powder Roundup: My Current Favorite Powders

When it comes to powders, I have a few favorites that I reach for time and time again. These powders not only perform exceptionally well, but they also cater to a wide range of skin tones and preferences.

Cruelty-Free Beauty: Undetectable and Vegan

If you’re someone who values vegan and cruelty-free products, then you’ll love this powder. It is practically undetectable on the skin, giving you a natural and flawless finish. With only two shades available – one with a pinky undertone and another with a yellow undertone – it caters to both lighter and deeper skin tones. This versatility makes it a must-have for makeup artists or individuals with a diverse clientele.

An Option for Mature Skin

For those with mature skin or those who prefer a more minimalistic approach to powdering, I have the perfect recommendation. This powder, which used to be called Matt, Prep, and Prim, is now known as Mac Cosmetic Studio, Fit Pro Set, and Blur Weightless Loose Powder. It offers a compact version with the same formula as well. This translucent and colorless powder helps set makeup, control shine, and absorb excess oil, all without leaving a heavy or detectable layer on the skin. It’s perfect for those who want a sheer and natural look.

A Great Powder for Male Grooming

If you work with male clients or simply prefer a more subtle approach to powdering, this next product is for you. Mac Cosmetic Studio’s Fit Pro Set and Blur Weightless Loose Powder is an absolute game-changer. It provides a barely-there coverage that helps mattify the skin without compromising its natural appearance. Whether you’re doing makeup for male grooming or just want to add a touch of powder to your own routine, this powder is a fantastic choice.

When it comes to powders, these are my current favorites. Each one offers unique benefits and caters to different needs. From vegan and cruelty-free options to powders suitable for mature skin or male grooming, there’s something for everyone. So next time you’re in need of a reliable powder, give one of these a try!

Tinted Powders for Different Skin Tones

If you’re looking for a powder that not only sets your makeup but also adds a touch of color, then tinted powders are the way to go. One of my top recommendations is a translucent powder that works well for most skin tones. However, if you prefer a powder that matches your skin tone more closely, there are tinted options available too. These tinted powders provide a little more variety in terms of shade, allowing you to feel more comfortable when using them.

For individuals with deeper or olive skin tones, finding a powder that suits their complexion can be a challenge. It’s common to come across powders that appear too light and don’t blend seamlessly with their natural skin tone. In such cases, opting for a tinted powder that closely matches their skin tone can be the perfect solution. By using a tinted powder, they can achieve a more flawless finish and feel confident in their makeup look.

Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Setting and Finishing Powder

The Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Setting and Finishing Powder is one of my personal favorites. This powder comes in four different color enhancing shades, which can initially be a bit confusing for some people. The bottle contains a mixture of two aluminum shades and two correcting shades, all designed to be blended together to create the powder you’ll use on your face.

When shopping for this powder online, it can be slightly overwhelming to choose the right shade without seeing them in person. However, taking the time to read about each shade and its specific benefits can help you make an informed decision. Once you’ve selected the shade that suits your complexion, you’ll be rewarded with a beautiful blurring effect on your skin.

Powder Roundup: My Current Favorite Powders

Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Setting Powder

This powder is very popular among makeup artists, influencers, and YouTubers, making it easily accessible on the internet. With six different shades to choose from, it caters to a wide range of skin tones. The Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Setting Powder is great for setting your makeup all over or for baking. Its lightweight formula helps control shine and provides a natural finish.

Rare Beauty Always an Optimist Soft Radiance Setting Powder

Another favorite of mine is the Rare Beauty Always an Optimist Soft Radiance Setting Powder. This silky smooth powder is talk-free and ideal for those who prefer minimal coverage. If you’re new to baking or don’t want a heavy deposit of powder on your face, this is the perfect option for you. With five different shades available, you can find the one that suits your complexion best.

Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Baking and Setting Powder

The Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Baking and Setting Powder is truly a gem. Its soft matte finish and finely milled formula create a beautiful soft blur and finish. This powder is ideal for those who enjoy the art of baking their makeup. It offers medium coverage, ensuring that your makeup stays in place all day. Unlike other powders that have a light deposit of pigment, this one provides a more intense and long-lasting result.

These are my current favorite powders that I highly recommend. Whether you’re looking for a setting powder that controls shine and provides a natural finish, a lightweight option for minimal coverage, or a powder that offers a heavy deposit of pigment for baking, there is something for everyone in this roundup. Experiment with these powders and find the one that suits your unique needs and preferences!

My Current Favorite Powders

1. Product A: A Great Option with Many Shade Choices

If you prefer a powder with more deposit, then Product A is the perfect choice for you. Not only does it offer a great amount of deposit, but it also comes in a wide range of shades. In fact, there are nine different shades to choose from, giving you plenty of options to find the perfect match for your skin tone.

However, I must mention that the floral fragrance of Product A might be a turn-off for some. Not everyone enjoys fragrant powders, so if you’re sensitive to scents, you might want to skip this one. Personally, the fragrance doesn’t bother me, but individual preferences can vary when it comes to fragrance in cosmetics.

2. Product B: The Cult Classic, Laura Messier Translucent Setting Powder

Another powder that has earned its reputation as a cult classic is Product B, the Laura Messier translucent setting powder. This powder has been around for a long time and is beloved by many. One of its key features is its matte finish, making it suitable for all skin types.

Whether you’re looking to set your makeup or prefer baking or shaking techniques, Product B is a versatile powder that gets the job done. It’s a reliable choice for makeup enthusiasts and professionals alike.

Limited Shade Options and a New Blurring Version

However, one downside of Product B is that they have discontinued several shades over time. While they used to offer a wide range of choices, they now only have four shades available. It seems that they have kept the four best-selling shades and decided to focus on those. As a makeup artist, I appreciate having a variety of options, but unfortunately, that is no longer the case with this particular powder.

Additionally, Product B has recently released a new version with a blurring effect. Although this variant may interest some, it’s important to note that the shade range remains unchanged. So if you were hoping for more options in terms of shades, you may be disappointed with the blurring version of Product B.

While these are just a few of my current favorite powders, they each have their own unique qualities and considerations to keep in mind. Ultimately, the best powder for you will depend on your personal preferences, skin type, and desired results. It’s always worth exploring different options and experimenting to find the perfect powder that suits your needs.
