This is their new Marilyn Monroe collection, and I have already taken everything out of the box, but I just wanted to show you this top part. Imperfection is beauty, and then, of course, you have the gorgeous Marilyn Monroe there. I love this box and the floral background. It adds so much fun to the collection.
The Products
In this collection, you get pretty much a full face setup to create some amazing looks. Let’s start with the lip gloss, or should I say lip balm. It has a perfume flavor, reminiscent of roses. The scent is pleasant, but the taste, not so much.
Next, we have a red bullet lipstick. Red lips are classic and always make a statement. Wet n Wild is giving us the option to complete the look with a red lip liner. It’s important to use a lip liner when wearing a bold color like red to ensure a clean and defined lip shape.
For the eyes, we have a nude eyeshadow palette. Nude shades are versatile and can be used to create both natural and dramatic looks. The variety of shades in this palette gives you endless possibilities.
Extra Goodies

To begin the demo and review of the new Wet n Wild x Marilyn Monroe Collection, I decided to start with the Focus clarifying finishing powder. Normally, I would reach for a brush to apply a pressed powder, but today I thought I’d try one of these adorable little sponges that came with the collection. As someone with normal to oily skin, my nose is usually the oiliest area on my face. With a long day ahead, including a full face of makeup for work and then a trip to get my nails done, I definitely need a powder that can control shine.
Wet n Wild photofocus loose setting powder
Before moving on, I want to mention that I have already powdered my under eye area using the Wet n Wild photofocus loose setting powder. I found that it did a great job of setting my concealer and brightening the area.
Wet n Wild tinted hydrator for foundation
For foundation, I decided to use one of my all-time favorite products, the Wet n Wild tinted hydrator. This lightweight formula provides a beautiful, natural-looking coverage without feeling heavy on the skin. It’s perfect for everyday wear, especially during the warmer months when you don’t want anything too heavy on your face.
Revlon bronzer
Moving on to bronzer, I do have a couple of Wet n Wild bronzers in my collection. However, the one I recently ordered arrived completely broken, and I haven’t received a replacement yet. Instead, I’ll be using a bronzer from Revlon.

The Skin Lights Bronzer: Shade 115 Sunkiss Bean
Starting off with the Wet n Wild x Marilyn Monroe Collection, we have their Skin Lights Bronzer in the shade 115 Sunkiss Bean. For this review, I decided to use the old Wet n Wild brush that I have from the Care Bears collection. Using the brush on one side, I began to apply the bronzer, primarily focusing on my forehead and bringing it down to my nose. The effect was subtle and not too intense, which worked well for me. Wanting to expedite the process, I switched to using the other side of the brush.
The Angled Brush and the Only Blush in the Collection: Shade Rose
Moving on to the new angled brush included in the collection, I used it to apply the only blush that came in the PR box. Sometimes additional items are excluded from the PR box, but fortunately, this blush was included. The blush, in the shade Rose, is undoubtedly a glowing one. Picking up the product with the angled brush, I began to apply it. The shade is a warm-toned Rose, and it definitely has a noticeable glow to it. If you prefer a more matte finish, this may not be the blush for you. However, personally, I don’t mind a glowy blush. I found this shade to be highly flattering and versatile. In fact, it’s so radiant that you may even consider skipping the highlighter altogether.

However, personally, I prefer a more diffused look when applying finishing powder, so I opted for a large fluffy brush from my collection of older Wet n Wild brushes.
The Illuminating Effect
Now, let’s talk about the finishing powder itself. As can be seen, it has an aluminous finish that gives off a gorgeous glow. However, caution needs to be exercised when applying it, as it can easily overpower the other products on the face. I strategically kept the application focused on the perimeter, specifically where I placed the bronzer. I gently tapped the finishing powder over the blush, allowing it to blend seamlessly. I brought it down slightly but avoided applying it to my nose. Afterward, I touched up the blush, as I found that the finishing powder had slightly affected the pigment.
The Struggle with the Sticker
Before I move on to the eyeshadow palette, I have to mention the nightmare I experienced when trying to remove the sticker that covered the little holes on the finishing powder. It was quite a challenge to remove without damaging the product, but I eventually succeeded.
Back to the Eyeshadow Palette
Now that my brows are taken care of off-camera, it’s time to delve into the little eyeshadow palette that piqued my curiosity.

One of the standout items from the collection is the eyeshadow palette. Steff reveals that it is a five pan palette, reminiscent of the popular Natasha Denona Mini Nude palette. The packaging is sleek and stylish, with Marilyn’s iconic face adorning the front.
Steff primes her eyelids with the Profusion primer and then delves into the palette. The first shade she swatches is a full-on sparkly shade that promises to add a touch of glam to any look. She notes that it is a true shimmer, with intense pigmentation.
Moving on to the next two shades, Steff describes them as possibly satin shades with traditional shimmer. The white shade also has a hint of satin in it, adding a subtle sheen to the eye.
For her eye look, Steff decides to start with the sparkly shade all over the lid. She then plans to use the other two shades to darken up the crease and outer corner. Using her trusty Blend Bunny B5 brush, she applies the satin shade and accidentally dips into the shimmer shade as well. However, she continues with her application, noting that it doesn’t make a big difference in the overall look.
To deepen the outer corner, Steff reaches for the deeper shade in the palette. With her brush, she smudges the color into the outer corner, adding depth and dimension to the eye look.
A Touch of Shimmer
Now it’s time to play with the shimmer shade again. Steff picks up her damp Morphe M124 brush and gives it a quick spritz of Mac Fix Plus. She applies the shimmer shade to the center of her lid, creating a beautiful pop of sparkle. Although she experiences a bit of fallout, Steff is impressed with how pretty the shade looks.
Lower Lash Line
No eye look is complete without a touch of color on the lower lash line. Steff decides to use the satin shade for this step. She picks up her BK 210 brush and begins to apply the color to her lower lash line. However, just as she starts, some unexpected noise interrupts her, momentarily breaking her concentration.
Despite the interruption, Steff continues with her lower lash line application, showcasing the versatility of the satin shade. The color adds a subtle, yet defined, touch to the overall eye look.

Palette Application
In preparing my yard to look nice and pretty, I decided to add a touch of the darker brown shade. It really made the colors pop and added depth to my look. I also used the lighter shade in the inner corner of my eyes, making sure to utilize every shade in the palette.
Completing the Look
Once I finish this look off camera, I will be right back to show you the completed version. I am also planning to apply the liquid lipstick and lip liner that came in the collection.
The Final Result
Here is the completed look with the Wet n Wild x Marilyn Monroe Collection. I am absolutely in love with how everything turned out. I was able to utilize almost every product that came in this collection, except for the dual-sided eyeliner. The eyeliner is black on both sides and is called the Wet n Wild Breakup Proof Liquid Liner.
Everyday Essentials
I use the retractable brown eyeliner from this collection every single day for my top waterline. It is perfect for tightlining. I also love using the Big Popa mascara and the retractable white eyeliner for my lower waterline. These products are essential in my daily makeup routine.
Missed Opportunity
Unfortunately, I forgot to use the little blending brush that came with the collection. However, I don’t think I really had much use for it since I didn’t pack any eyeshadow on the crease.
A Mention for Brows
I want to mention that I used the clear brow gel from this collection to groom and set my brows. It worked beautifully.

Powder Puffs and Lip Balm
I didn’t use all the powder puffs in the Wet n Wild x Mariyln Monroe Collection PR box, but the one I did use was cute with its red ribbons. The lip balm, however, was a bit of a disappointment. While it smelled like roses, I wasn’t a fan of its taste. I wish it just smelled like roses instead of tasting like them.
Missing Blushes and Highlighters
I couldn’t find the blushes and highlighters in the PR box. Perhaps they were misplaced or not included. It’s a shame because based on the other products, I feel like the blushes and highlighters would have been some of the standout items in this collection.
The Standout Items
The blush brush in the collection is definitely a standout. I love the handle design on it. It’s unique and adds a nice touch to my makeup routine. Additionally, the finishing powder in the collection is a must-have if you want a glowy look. However, I would advise against applying it on your nose. It works well for the T-Zone and provides a matte finish. Overall, Wet n Wild did a fantastic job with this Marilyn Monroe collection.
