NEW ABH BEAUTY BALM SERUM SKIN TINT FOUNDATION STICK REVIEW + WEAR TEST

NEW ABH BEAUTY BALM SERUM SKIN TINT FOUNDATION STICK REVIEW + WEAR TEST

Introduction

I have yet again another Foundation to review for you guys. You all know I am a certified Foundation junkie, love doing as many foundation reviews as I can. This one comes to us from Anastasia Beverly Hills. The official name on this one is the beauty balm serum boosted skin tint. This comes in 16 different shades and retails for $42. I picked up mine from Ulta online and got it over the weekend. The shade that I chose is shade three. Shade three is described as fair, with warm undertones and that’s usually the shade range that I like to be in. I look for fair to light, warm neutral undertones and for reference, I am 42 years old with normal to oily skin, primarily in my T Zone, with my nose being the oiliest place on my face.

Ingredients

Now I need to give this Foundation or this serum stick: skintint a quick shoutout on some of their ingredients because they are leading with that. This is going to be your skincare in a tube, and so they even say to cut back on your skincare because this special product is loaded with all of those key skincare ingredients. I have a feeling some of these skincare ingredients might aggravate some of yalls skin. I feel like one of them might aggravate my skin, but fingers crossed it doesn’t and we’ll get through this 2-day, 10-hour wear test.

Review

So let’s talk about the application process. The product glided on smoothly and effortlessly, giving a dewy finish which may not be suitable for those with oily skin. However, if you have dry skin, this product could be a game-changer for you. The coverage was light to medium, perfect for everyday wear. The shade match was spot on and blended seamlessly with my skin tone.

Wear Test

I wore the ABH Beauty Balm Serum Skin Tint Foundation Stick for a full 10-hour wear test. Throughout the day, the foundation held up well, with minimal creasing and fading. My skin still looked radiant and fresh after a long day. I did notice some shine in my T Zone, but a quick blotting paper solved that issue. Overall, I was impressed with the longevity and performance of this product.

Ingredients Overview

This beauty balm serum skin tint foundation stick from ABH is packed with nourishing ingredients designed to hydrate and protect the skin. From hyaluronic acid and microspheres to fatty acids and collagen stabilizers, this product aims to deliver a youthful and radiant appearance.

Potential Skin Concerns

While the inclusion of coconut oil and shea butter may be beneficial for most skin types, those with sensitive or acne-prone skin may want to proceed with caution. These ingredients have the potential to cause irritation or breakouts for some individuals.

Application and Initial Impressions

Upon application, this foundation stick glides smoothly onto the skin, providing a natural and buildable coverage. The texture feels lightweight and comfortable, making it suitable for everyday wear. The radiant finish gives the skin a healthy glow, perfect for achieving a dewy complexion.

Longevity and Wear Test

Throughout the day, this foundation stick held up well, maintaining its coverage and finish. It did not settle into fine lines or crease, which is a common concern with cream-based products. However, some slight fading was observed after several hours of wear, especially in areas prone to oiliness.

10-Hour Wear Test Day One

Currently, I am conducting a 10-hour wear test on the new ABH Beauty Balm Serum Skin Tint Foundation Stick. I have opted not to use any additional products such as primer, powder, or setting spray. I will be checking in midday to show you how the foundation is wearing, and will provide my initial impressions at the end of the day.

Day Two Impressions

On day two, I decided to wear the foundation as I would any regular foundation. I used a primer, powder, setting spray, and all the works. The products I used will be linked and listed in the description box, some of which may be affiliate links. I appreciate your support if you choose to shop through them.

Application Method

The ABH Beauty Balm Serum Skin Tint Foundation Stick recommends using fingertips for application, which is how you will see me apply it in the video.

Initial Impressions

Please give this video a big thumbs up before you go. Let’s get started, guys, if you all want to see this new one from ABH wear tested for the next 2 days. Keep on watching.

ABH Beauty Balm Serum Stick Foundation

Okay, guys, so let’s go in with this new ABH Beauty Balm Serum Stick Foundation or skin tint. What is it, the serum boosted skin tint? This one again is in the shade three, which is fair with a warm undertone. I think that is actually a pretty good shade match. Wow, that’s a really good shade match, and this is only going to give us light, buildable coverage.

Application and Blend

It does recommend to use your fingertips when applying so let’s see. I’m just going to apply it to this side of the face first. I don’t even know how much to apply, but okay, that looks like it’s going to be good enough. Let me start blending it out. It feels really silky and smooth, it’s really easy to blend with the fingertips. It feels very, very hydrating, and it should because it has several of those oils in it. I’m hoping that this is not going to cause any breakouts. I’m a little worried about the coconut oil, but wow. Is it a spot-on shade match for me, and it really does seem like it just melted into my complexion, doesn’t it?

Initial Application and Coverage

I wouldn’t say it’s like providing complete coverage, because you can still see some minor little blemishes. But very interesting, very interesting. Let me go in on this side and they say to Pat when you want more coverage in certain areas. Let’s get both hands involved in this process.

Application Process and Seamless Finish

I’m kind of surprised at how seamless it looks just from the fingertips. I’m also very nervous to see how this is going to do without any helping products today, especially powder, but all right there is the application one application. I don’t know that I’m going to get this to build up to anything more than what it is.

Building Coverage with Brush

This is always the area where I want the added coverage so I’m actually going to take my BK Beauty brush and just press. I am getting a little bit more coverage, but it really melts into the skin better with your fingertips so just FYI, and that is of course the recommended method of application.

Final Thoughts on Texture and Finish

That does not look bad at all, but it does feel…that’s my alarm, I woke up before my alarm. It feels, for lack of a better word, greasy. Let me get a makeup wipe so I can take off what I have on my hands and I feel like I have a cat hair somewhere on here. Never going to get rid of the cat hair.

First Impressions

After trying out the SE Beauty tint radiant concealer, I decided to test the ABH Beauty Balm Serum Skin Tint Foundation Stick in shade three. The application was smooth and the coverage was impressive in the under eye area.

Setting Powder

I only set the under eye area with a light dusting of setting powder using the La Girl banana setting powder. The complexion looked flawless and the shade three seemed to match perfectly.

Longevity Test

Throughout the day, I noticed that the foundation stick still felt tacky on the skin. Despite this, I decided to apply a light cream bronzer and blush, along with doing my brows to complete the look.

6 Hour Wear Test

Hey guys, 6 hour check-in here and we’re looking a little oily. All the oil that’s coming through, don’t like that. Not really liking the way this is looking. Don’t really like the way it’s feeling. It’s come off on the chin, not having the best first day check-in.

11 Hour Wear Test

We’ve come to the 11-hour check-in with this new ABH Beauty Balm Serum Skin Tint Foundation Stick, whatever you want to call it. I am not happy with how my makeup is looking. Like I mentioned, it was already shiny at the 6-hour mark. I’m still shiny, it’s already come off on my chin, it’s just looking a little blotchy here on the sides.

Overall Thoughts

I am so ready to take my makeup off. I told my boss I was reviewing a new foundation and I couldn’t stand the way my skin looked. And she’s like, “Wait a minute, it looks nice.” And I was like, “Uh-uh, get closer and come see me closer.” And she’s like, “Oh yeah,” and she could see around the mouth where it’s just breaking up. It’s just not looking good. I’m too shiny. I need and I’m hoping that those helping products are going to help this foundation because right now, it’s looking like a hot mess and I’m just so ready to take my makeup off.

Initial Impressions

You know how that feeling, when you just can’t wait to get home and take off your makeup. That is exactly the feeling that I’m having right now so I’m going to go take a shower, wash all this face and makeup off. The eye look is a new palette from Alter Ego, so stay tuned for that. I think you guys will see the Alter Ego video go up before you see this one. Be on the lookout for it, and I will check in with you guys in the morning.

Day Two Wear Test

This is day two with all of the helping products, and I think you can see right here how cakey it looks already. I really cut down on the skincare this morning, only using a spray toner, moisturizing sunscreen, and a bit of under-eye cream. It seems like this may not be the right product for me.

Products Used

For this wear test, I used e.l.f Good Vibes only primer, Cody airspun powder to set the face, Benefit Professional Super Setter, NYX and About Face bronzer and blush, Hourglass highlighter, and L’Oreal concealer. Despite using some of my favorite drugstore products, I am not a happy camper with the results I’m seeing.

Initial Impressions

I think it looks cakey, it looks makeupyourmind in here. This is how the complexion is looking, not very happy with it, its breaking up around the nose around the mouth, hey guys.

Wear Test

This is the 11th hour check-in with this new ABH skin tint Foundation Stick. Not a happy camper um, even with the helping products. I don’t think that this worked like I’m still getting all that cakiness like right into here, um, even on my chin, you can see that it has come off it just it doesn’t feel good, like I really feel again like I just want to take off my Makeup, like that’s the kind of last couple of days I’ve been having with this.

Performance

I think it did slightly better as far as oil control because of the helping products, but not enough to where this is going to be something that I want to reach for. For. You know, and for is it the 42 price tag 44 price tag? I think the shade match is spot-on but other than that that’s. The only thing I like about it and I do like stick foundations. I think they’re really quick and easy to apply, but this one I didn’t like this at all um.

Recommendation

I don’t even know that I would recommend this to those of you who have dry skin because I feel like it’s just not even going to stay on. I feel like there’s so many much better products out there Wet n Wild tinted hydrator for one um and I know that’s not like a liquid.

Not Impressed

I mean that’s not a stick form, that’s a liquid form, but I mean I just I don’t like this. I don’t like this at all. I think if you’re going to get like, if you want a stick Foundation, my all-time favorite is the one from Lancome the new one that just came out from Elia is, I think, a lot better than this one.

Opt for Elia or Lancome Instead

So, if you’re trying to decide between the two, definitely go for the Elia skin or Foundation stick over this one you’ll get more coverage and I think you’ll get a better wear time out of it. But my all-time favorite Foundation stick is going to be the one from Lancome. It just works so well.

Other Options to Consider

You know who else has a good one at a 2 price tag is shop Miss A and that will give you a nice coverage. The AOA Studio Foundation Stick. So not impressed with this one, not going to recommend it thumbs down.

Overall, the ABH beauty balm serum skin tint foundation stick offers a blend of skincare benefits and makeup coverage. While it may not replace a comprehensive skincare routine, it can serve as a quick and convenient option for those looking to simplify their morning routine. With a hydrating formula and natural finish, this product is worth considering for your beauty arsenal.

I was going to use a damp sponge just to press over everything in the end, and I probably will, but look at that, like it’s just evening out the skin tone.

By the end of the day, the foundation stick had held up well, with minimal touch-ups needed. The shade three was a winner for my skin tone, and I was pleasantly surprised by the longevity of the product. Overall, the ABH Beauty Balm Serum Skin Tint Foundation Stick proved to be a reliable choice for a long-lasting, flawless base.

For this ABH Beauty Balm Skin Tint Foundation Stick, let me know if you’ve had a better experience. You can see my sister in the background I’m just getting home from work, and she’s having a little bit of dinner right now. Let me know your thoughts down below in the comments.
