Kosas Makeup Review: First Impressions
You have to dedicate a whole video to YouTube. So that’s why I’m doing today and the video that I’m dedicating is to Kass. I’ve never used this brand, um? It seems to be getting bigger and bigger, and I was like, you know what I have enough of the products now to do a full video. I’ve never used it. This is my first reaction to all the products I’ve done.
Kosas Product Analysis
Some research I’ve had a look at the prices of what I’m using how it works. Um and yeah, let’s do a video. Firstly, I had this, which I was like. Oh, I’ll pop that moisturizer on then I did some research and realized it’s a deodorant and not a moisturizer at all. So thank God. I actually looked into this before because that is something I would generally do. I would have been like. Oh, my God, look it’s a moisturizer with a rolly ball would pop that all over and then I would have found out that I was putting deodorant all over my face, um.
Kosas Makeup Application
So we won’t put that on our face, but I will give my skin a little spritz with this plump and juicy all the things that I like. Let me just see how it comes out. First, oh yeah, it’s a spray, so that’s fine, it comes out. Quite a lot lovely that can just wake my moisturizer up and also probably make my hair really greasy and it’s just has been washed.
BB Burst vs. Skin Revor
So I’ve got two bases: a BB burst and a skin revor. I’m going to use one on each side because I don’t normally reach for this one, even though I’ve never tried it. The skin revor sounds more appealing to me. But I want to show you both in case you would prefer a slightly more medium coverage, then go for the revor.
BB Burst in Light: Cool 180
This one is a light coverage in the shade Cool 180. It comes in a squeezy tube, but surprisingly not on a doot. I applied it very sparingly, as a little goes a long way. The medium coverage with SPF 25 goes on beautifully. It can be buildable, but one layer provides a lovely finish. Clean Beauty and with an SPF of 25, this brand launched in 2015, giving it a good 9-year reputation.
Skin Revor in Medium Coverage
The skin revor offers medium coverage with an SPF of 25. It goes on smoothly and has a nice finish. Despite being 9 years old, the foundation is not too shiny or matte. It provides enough coverage without feeling heavy or settling into pores. As a 43-year-old, I find the skin revor to be a flattering option for everyday wear.
BB Cream
It is 35 and it comes in 36 Shades, which I think is very very good. Lets try the BB burst on the other side. This is light medium. Warm. This is light medium neutral. I think Id be more than neutral at this time of year. This, I can already tell uses more as you apply the brush already. Quite a lot of that has come up in One Sweep, which you would expect really cuz its a slightly more lightweight BB cream, not so much of a foundation and its just meant to even the skin tones out. But still look like your skin.
That absolutely melts into the skin this ones available in 24 Shades and it is 3 35. I think 34 and again theyre both buildable next up, revealer concealer available in 39 Shades and they do in C W and N. So the W will be slightly more of a yellow undertone. The C would be slightly more of a pink undertone and the N would be a neutral in between tone. Im more of an N um. If you use Mac they do it. The opposite so ignore that I think these ones seem to be the right way around in color theory, as color theory would go so Im going to go for the 2.3 n and see how that is looks quite light, but it still looks quite yellow to me. Thats 2.3 n Im going going to try a 2.6 c as well, which will be slightly Pinker.
Concealer
The concealer is available in 39 Shades and provides options in C W and N undertones. W is more yellow, C is more pink, and N is neutral. It seems to follow color theory correctly. I’m going to try the 2.3 N and 2.6 C shades to see how they look on my skin.
Foundation Shades
Is it maybe and lets try a the W? It should be slightly more yellow yeah. You can see that ones a little bit more, yellow cant you, okay, lets blend them in. I just wanted to try them all, so I could see the coloring of them really. As long as I get the right sort of um color depth, I can normally get away with um the undertone a little bit, but I prefer it to be neutral because anyone undertone thats a little bit too yellow can be a bit too yellow on me. That makes sense if its very yellow, then they dont always suit me sometimes can be nice on my under eyes, but that melts into the skin beautifully as well 39 Shades at 25. This and its all clean Beauty. I cant see too much of a difference between the two foundations, but maybe thats just me, maybe in the camera. I will Im just going to use my finger to blend this. Sometimes I like a good finger. I think I prefer the application with my finger.
Eyebrow Products
So next I have got two brows, a nano brow which is 20 and a brow pop Duo, which is 20 as well. The Nano brow is available in six shades and the brow pop Duo is available in 10. The difference is obviously this ones a lot smaller. I kind of love this one because its more portable um, this one has a different brow head.
Kosas Make Up Review and Look
For those who are particular about their brows, the Kosas brow products offer a range of options to suit different preferences. Whether you prefer a precise, hair-like application or a more defined, arched structure, there is something for everyone.
One of the products worth mentioning is the tinted, volumizing brow gel, available in 10 shades. This fiber brow gel not only thickens the brows but also gives a natural, flat finish without any shine. On one side, you can opt for a more natural look by using the brow gel alone. It adds volume and thickness without the need for precise application. However, if you prefer a more defined look with precise details, the Nano brow pencil is a great choice.
The Nano brow pencil, available in dark brown, is perfect for filling in gaps and defining the brows. While it may not create individual hair-like strokes, it does a great job of thickening and shaping the brows, giving a polished finish.
When compared to other brow pencils, the Kosas Nano brow pencil stands out for its firmness and durability. Despite its thin tip, it doesn’t snap easily and provides a consistent application without the need for excessive pressure or product.
Dark Brown Brow Product
I think that’s really nice let’s try this one on the other side. This is one of those kind of angled ones, and this is again in dark brown and we will so it depends on the sort of brow you like whether it is that kind of more sculptured brow or whether it is that kind of fluffier brow. But then I use two products remember so this brow is 40 lb and so far this brow is only 20 cuz I’m using product. So you can see this one’s a lot softer how its laying down the product is a lot creamier and softer. So there’s more lay down, hence I’ll use this bit. On the other end, the other one does have a spoolie on the other end as well and I’ll just give it a good little brush through. So it really just depends which sort of brow you prefer. I will put a little bit of brow product just over that one as well. Otherwise, it looks a little bit odd and I want to see see what the brow product looks like over this one as well, but I won’t spend as long building it up on this side, okay onwards.
Color Blaze 10 Second Eye
Next, I have a 10 second eye. This one is in the Color Blaze, there’s six shades of this available and it’s 144. Let’s count to 10: one, 2, 3, 4, five, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, that’s, probably more than 10 wasn’t. It not quite finished.
Um Doesn’t Really Do Much
But I imagine in lighter colors it would be nice. Or am I meant to wait for 10 seconds for it to set? I don’t know, that’s quite nice, natural, nothing really… okay, let’s try this eyeshadow palette on the other side.
Undressed Palette
This is $36. I really like the colors in this. I think it’s good for everyone. Apart from this one, darker skin will probably find this too ashy. Let me just see… actually, yeah, it’s too much. It would look like ash on. But for me, it’s great for other people with darker skin. You’ve got a couple in there that wouldn’t work for you. These two top ones definitely would be too ashy. However, this one would be a beautiful base.
Application
I’m going to start with the lightest one, popping that all over my lid. You can see how light that is, so that would be light for a lot of people. I love it, but that’s because it works for me. I’m going to go with Peak, which is this one here, and just pop that through my socket. I’m wondering if they do other palettes in this because they have so many colors. It would be a real shame if this was the only palette they stock. Well, by the looks of it, it’s the only palette I can see on the website.
Palette Review
I just used the darker shade from the palette as a liner, and I must say, the pigmentation is impressive. The palette is beautiful, but I wish there were more options for different skin tones. I hope Kosas releases a palette specifically for darker skin tones in the future.
Mascara Application
Since I don’t have a Kosas mascara, I decided to layer another brand’s mascara on my lashes. The results are fantastic, and the mascara application process was quick and easy. The number seven 4360 Ultra mascara is truly amazing.
Foundation Quality
What are your thoughts on the Kosas foundations? I personally find them to be of very high quality and provide a nice finish on the skin. The foundation blends seamlessly and gives a natural look.
Powder and Bronzer Application
I’m now moving on to applying powder and bronzer. The shape and look of the Kosas powder are very satisfying. The product glides on smoothly and enhances the overall look.
Lip Product
Lastly, I’ll be applying a lip product to complete the makeup look. Kosas offers a range of lip products that are known for their quality and long-lasting formula. I’m excited to see how this lip product will complement the overall look.
Kosas Make up Review: A Closer Look
The Clouds Set in the color Airy is a powder that may not be suitable for everyone. With skin that has just undergone a skin pen treatment, the dryness may not pair well with this product. However, the powder comes in 10 shades and is priced at $30, making it an option worth considering for those who may not have extremely dry skin.
Kosas Sun Show Bronzer: A Glowy Option
The Sun Show bronzer is a baked bronzer that provides a shiny finish. Available in four shades, this bronzer may be ideal for those who prefer a bit of shine in their everyday makeup routine. Priced at $30, this bronzer adds a touch of warmth to the skin, giving off a healthy, sun-kissed look.
Kosas Lip Products: Variety in Shades and Finishes
The Wet Stick in Baby Rose is a sheer lipstick available in 12 shades, priced at $2. It has a buttery texture and a pleasant scent, making it a go-to option for a natural look. The Weightless Lip Color, priced at $4 and available in 10 shades, offers good coverage and a smooth texture. Find the right shade for you, and this lipstick may become a staple in your makeup collection.
Lastly, the Lip Oil Gloss, priced at $2 and available in 11 shades, provides strong color payoff, which may be surprising for a lip gloss. While the color payoff is impressive, the scent may not be to everyone’s liking. However, overall, Kosas offers a variety of lip products that cater to different preferences and styles.
