Experience with Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream

Minimal Makeup Routine
Okay, so right now in life, I am not doing much makeup. This is actually quite a bit of makeup for me these days and it’s not even a lot. I’m typically doing brows, lippy, and moisturizer, so the moisturizer that I love to use was taken off of the market. It was the Neutrogena sensitive skin oil-free moisture and that I have not been able to find besides on Amazon. I will link that one below if it is still on Amazon because it is a wonderful moisturizer, but I took it as an opportunity to try out different moisturizers to kind of expand. You know my horizons if you will, so this is the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream.
Glycoprotein and its Benefits
Let’s talk about that glycoprotein, right? So glycoprotein is basically a peptide formulation that the company doesn’t add into their moisturizer. So what peptides do if you’re not familiar is they help to moisturize the skin and they also help to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Now, I’m not a dermatologist, but I do have basic knowledge, and so that is just a basic understanding of what this glycoprotein is.
Sample and Application
It comes in a sample size of 0.25 fl. oz., which is great for trying it out before committing to the full-sized product. Upon opening the sample, I noticed the cream had a smooth and creamy texture. I applied a small amount to my face, and it easily spread and absorbed into my skin.

The lack of a brightening effect is the main reason why it didn’t receive the full 10 points. Although the product never claimed to provide a bright glow, it is something that I personally look for in my skincare products at this stage of my life. While it didn’t make my skin look dull, it also didn’t provide the brightening effect I desired.
