I WASTED MY MONEY! Makeup I regret buying

I WASTED MY MONEY! Makeup I regret buying

Product Number One: Hermes Blush Rose Abricot

Let’s start with this blush from Hermes. First of all, it’s tiny. But the real disappointment is the lack of color. I mean, seriously, what is it with these expensive brands and their blushers? They seem to think that no pigment at all is a good idea. Well, let me tell you, it’s not. The lack of color in this blush is just baffling. I’ve tried swatching it, applying it to my cheeks, and what do I get? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. And can we talk about the price? It’s insanely expensive for a blush that offers no color payoff. It’s safe to say that I wasted my money on this one.

Product Number Two: XYZ Eyeshadow Palette

Next up, let’s talk about this eyeshadow palette from XYZ brand. I was so excited when I first saw it. The colors looked gorgeous, and I couldn’t wait to create stunning eye looks with it. But oh boy, was I wrong. The moment I dipped my brush into the eyeshadow pan, I knew something was off. The pigmentation was extremely poor, the shades were patchy, and they refused to blend. I don’t know what happened here, but it’s safe to say that this palette was a waste of my hard-earned money. I regret buying it, and it now sits untouched in my makeup collection.

Product Number Three: ABC Foundation

Now, let’s move on to this foundation from ABC brand. I had heard so many rave reviews about it and was convinced that it would be a game-changer for my makeup routine. Oh, how wrong I was. The first issue I encountered was the shade range. It was seriously lacking options for people with medium to deep skin tones. But I thought, maybe the formula will make up for it. Well, it didn’t. The foundation was incredibly greasy, and no matter how much powder I used, it just wouldn’t set on my skin. Not to mention, it oxidized like crazy, turning me into an orange mess. Needless to say, I regret buying this foundation and will definitely think twice before trusting hyped-up products in the future.

Product Number Four: PQR Lipstick

Last but not least, let’s discuss this lipstick from PQR brand. I fell in love with the shade online and thought it would be the perfect everyday color. However, when it arrived and I swiped it onto my lips, I was sorely disappointed. The formula was incredibly drying and emphasized every single line on my lips. It also had a weird chemical scent that I just couldn’t tolerate. I tried using lip balm underneath or topping it with gloss, but nothing could salvage this lipstick. It’s a shame because the color was truly beautiful, but the formula ruined it for me. Another regretful purchase that will gather dust in my makeup drawer.

So there you have it, some of the makeup products that I regret buying. It’s always a bit disheartening when you spend your hard-earned money on something that doesn’t live up to your expectations. But hey, at least I learned my lesson and will be more cautious with future purchases. Until

Disappointing Dior Blushers

Everyone was raving about the Dior blushers, so naturally, I had high expectations. But to my dismay, they did not live up to the hype. The color payoff was barely visible, leaving me wondering why I even bothered buying them. The lack of pigmentation was a major letdown. And to make matters worse, the scent was far from pleasant. It was supposed to have a hint of peach, but instead, it reminded me of a men’s locker room. Not exactly the fragrance I want on my face.

Trixie Cosmetics: A Miss for Me

When it comes to Trixie Cosmetics, I have to say that their powder products, particularly their blush and eyeshadows, have been a disappointment. The powder seems to be extremely hard-pressed into the pan, making it difficult to get any pigmentation out of them. I’ve tried their eyeshadow palettes, but the lack of color payoff made me abandon them altogether. It’s a shame because I had high hopes, but unfortunately, they didn’t deliver.

Lipstick Love: Hermes

If there’s one thing I can appreciate about Hermes, it’s their lipsticks. Their lip products are truly beautiful. The colors are vibrant, and the formula is top-notch. So while I may not be a fan of their blushes or eyeshadows, I can still give credit where it’s due. Hermes definitely knows how to create stunning lipsticks that are worth the investment.

Trixie Cosmetics: A Disappointing Experience

When it comes to makeup, I always find myself struggling with certain products. Whether it’s a powder or a lip product, I just can’t seem to make them work for me. Even the highly recommended Trixie Cosmetics products, which I was excited to try, turned out to be a waste of my hard-earned money.

I had high hopes for the setting sprays from Trixie Cosmetics. I had heard great things about them, but unfortunately, they didn’t live up to the hype. I used them once or twice and didn’t notice any significant difference in the longevity of my makeup. I was left confused and disappointed.

Powder Woes: Dusty and Lacking Pigmentation

One of the products I regret purchasing is Trixie Cosmetics’ powder. It claims to provide a smooth finish, but instead, it feels dusty and does not blend seamlessly into my skin. The pigmentation is also lacking, and I wish the shades were more vibrant. It’s frustrating to have to put in so much effort to make the product work.

Even the eyeshadows from Trixie Cosmetics have been a letdown. The formula is difficult to work with, and blending them out requires considerable effort. I’ve never been able to achieve the seamless look I desire with these eyeshadows.

It’s not just a personal issue with the brand – many people seem to enjoy Trixie Cosmetics’ products. I, however, have not had any luck with them. I wonder if anyone else has faced the same challenges with this brand. Let me know if you’ve had a better experience, as I am genuinely curious.

Flower Knows: Fooling Me with Packaging

I must admit, I am a sucker for attractive packaging. It lures me in, and I end up buying products based on their outward appearance. Flower Knows is a brand that I fell victim to due to its stunning packaging. I ignored the importance of researching the products and focused solely on the pretty exterior.

Regrettably, the products from Flower Knows did not live up to their outward beauty. The quality and performance were subpar, leaving me disappointed once again. It’s a reminder to myself to not let packaging be the sole deciding factor when purchasing makeup or any other product.

I WASTED MY MONEY! Makeup I regret buying

The Disappointment of Shoddy Powders

When I come across a product with eye-catching packaging, I can’t help but be drawn in. That’s exactly what happened when I saw this yogurt-inspired makeup. However, after trying it out, I’ve realized that it was a waste of my hard-earned money. It turns out that these products are nothing more than chalky, dusty powders. The colors may look appealing, but the quality leaves much to be desired.

One positive aspect is that the shimmers in this palette have a nice shine. They give a touch of elegance to the overall look. However, when it comes to the matte shades, such as this red, there’s a major letdown. Once blended, the color becomes wishy-washy and fades away. It lacks the pigmentation needed to make a statement.

The Invisible Blusher

Another disappointing product that I regret buying is an ombre blush by a brand called Flower Knows. The packaging may be cute, but that’s where the positives end. I was intrigued by the beautiful blue shade, which transforms into a light lilac as it moves inward. I thought it would be a great way to brighten up my under-eye area. However, when I applied it, the blush barely showed up on my skin. It was a complete waste of time and money.

What initially fascinated me about this bluey-lilac shade was its potential to enhance my complexion. According to color theory, this shade should brighten the dull areas around my eyes. So, in an attempt to make it work, I swept the blush upwards, keeping the blue tone near my under-eyes. Unfortunately, the lack of pigment made this effort pointless. The blush blended into nothing, failing to provide any brightening effect.

The Importance of Research

These regretful makeup purchases have taught me a valuable lesson: always do your research before buying a product. Watching reviews and hearing from customers who have actually used the products can save you from wasting your money. In the future, I will be more cautious and avoid splurging on makeup items that may turn out to be disappointing.

The Disappointing Blush

So, I’m literally going to take it like this.. I don’t know if you can see the blue on the top there and the pink.. I just want to apply it right. Here. I’m going to keep my cheekbones nice and high. I guess. I mean, to be honest, even the color itself isn’t that obvious.

Let’s just do a whole mix and swivel up the whole thing. There’s nothing there. Okay, perhaps not the best blush, to be honest with you. It’s very natural, and I think, maybe if you have fairer skin than me, it would look quite nice.

The Failed Experiment

But it didn’t do what I thought.. I thought that blue will be quite brightening. Let’s. You know what? F**k it. Let’s just try the blue under the eyes by itself. Just going to go into the blue.. Just up here. There you go. There it is. That’s. What I was thinking was going to happen.

Disappointing Results

Okay, so that’s the blue. Just the blue by itself. So I was thinking we’re going to get this half and half. But I guess you can just be really specific. With what you apply. Okay. It’s cute, if you have time to be using the two shades separately. This is it on both eyes. It is quite brightening but be warned, it can look. It looks quite blue in real life.

Mixed Feelings

So yeah, I don’t know what I think. I’m going to use it because it’s cute, but I’ll probably just mix it together.

The Disappointment of By Terry Eclat Opulent Foundation

And to be fair, their main market is lighter skin tones. Let’s be real.. It just didn’t show up on me, but I feel like I’m pale a lot of the time. It was like it literally felt like putting my makeup brush on a bit of chalk and then doing it on the skin. Tudor.. It was Tudor. Esque.

The Expensive Mistake

Let’s talk about this foundation… This is the By Terry Eclat Opulent, Light Opulence. I think it is in French. And yes, I have like three other shades. This foundation is expensive. I love By Terry, the brand. By Terry is one of my absolute favorites. I enjoy it very, very much. However, this foundation, that comes in literally there’s like four shades, was a disappointment.

An Ill-Fitting Shade Range

When I got one, I was like, “Oh, this looks nice on the skin.” Then I looked in the mirror. I was like, “Okay, I’m pale. Let me go and explore their shade range.” It’s heavy, it’s creamy, but it’s nice when it’s on the skin. It has that By Terry rose smell, which I don’t mind at all. But now I have three or four of these that just sit around doing nothing. All full. Completely full. Going to waste because none of the shades suit me. And it’s like, yeah. No, it… it. You know what it’s called? No, what’s it called?

Suits Your Skin Tone? Not Quite

“Suits your skin,” like you know, it starts to suit… What… Oh my God… What is the word I’m looking for? It’s like it matches your skin tone.

Regrettable Foundation Purchase

Oh my God.. What is wrong with buying the wrong foundation? It’s supposed to suit your skin tone and magically turn into your skin tone, but it doesn’t. It’s just not a nice one, and it’s even worse when you spend a lot of money on it. And yes, I even tried it in store before purchasing. I just want to say that. It looked fine in the store, and I left thinking it would work. But when you invest so much money in a foundation, you expect it to actually work, especially if it’s expensive. It’s such a waste.

Unnecessary Eye Makeup Tape

Next, let’s talk about these eye makeup tape strips. They’re from Make Up A Murder Cosmetics, and let me be clear, this has nothing to do with the brand itself. Their other products are actually really nice. I have two of their palettes and I love their style. However, when it comes to the tape, I just don’t understand why I bought them. I haven’t used tape to do my eye makeup in a really long time, yet I keep holding onto these strips. In fact, I even have more of them lying around from unknown brands. Do you remember when we used to use medical tape to create that harsh line? Well, nowadays I just use concealer and quickly blend it out. So why did I get these tapes? There’s something about me that urges to collect the whole set, to have it complete. But in reality, I never use them.

The Wasted Tape

They’re just hanging around doing nothing and there isn’t another thing I can use them for. You know what I mean. Maybe there is… Let me know what else can I use this tape for. It’s one of those products that I look at and think, “Oh, I can do that. That will come in really handy.” But then it turns out that I would never ever ever need it. Ever.

Nivea’s Double Effect Eye Makeup Remover

Okay, last but not least, this is from Nivea. This is the Double Effect Eye Makeup Remover. I have had this sitting in my beauty room for years. I have three of them left and I’m trying to get through them. I prefer using my Bioderma one, but I hate wasting things, so I am trying to use them.

Painful and Gritty

This eye makeup remover is in no way gentle around the eyes. It really hurts. It feels gritty and not as soft. It doesn’t feel like it strips away my makeup easily. Instead, it feels like you really have to rub. It is not good if you have sensitive eyes. I wouldn’t recommend getting this at all. It claims to be the number one eye makeup remover, but that needs to change. I wonder if people realize how painful it is.

Lesson Learned

But I buy makeup removers in bulk because I use them every single day when I’m filming. I use them more than once. So I bought these thinking, “You know what, Nivea? How bad can it be?” Lesson learned – it can be really bad.

Nivea Makeup Wipes

I don’t like Nivea anyway as a brand. But here we are stuck with these now. However long it takes to remove…. Actually, you know what? I’ll probably donate the unused ones, if they’re still in date, but it’s just awful. It feels grainy and it feels gritty for some reason. I just really don’t like it.

Misleading Foundation

Okay, that was short and sweet. Let me tell you about this one foundation that truly disappointed me. I was enticed by the packaging, the promises it made, but boy, was it a waste of money. It claimed to have full coverage, giving a flawless finish, but all it did was cake up on my face. The texture was incredibly thick and heavy, making it uncomfortable to wear throughout the day. I regret buying this foundation and would not recommend it to anyone.

Overpriced Mascara

Now, let’s talk about this mascara that cost me an arm and a leg. I fell for the hype, thinking it would be the holy grail of mascaras. But oh, was I wrong. It clumped my lashes together, giving me a spider-leg effect that nobody wants. The formula was flaky and smudged easily, leaving me with raccoon eyes. I could have gotten a drugstore mascara that performs way better at a fraction of the price. Definitely a regrettable purchase.

Disappointing Eyeshadow Palette

This eyeshadow palette was recommended by so many beauty gurus, and I thought it would be a game-changer for my makeup routine. Sadly, it did not live up to the hype. The pigmentation was weak, and the colors were not as vibrant as advertised. The shadows also had a lot of fallout, which made the application messy and time-consuming. I wasted my money on a mediocre palette, and I urge you to avoid it.

Unimpressive Lipstick

Lastly, let’s talk about this lipstick that I instantly regretted purchasing. The color looked beautiful in the tube, but upon application, it was patchy and uneven. The formula was drying and emphasized every line on my lips. It didn’t last long either and needed constant touch-ups. I wanted to love this lipstick, but it just didn’t work for me. Save your money and invest in a better quality lipstick.
