Polite Society Greatest Lashes of All Time Mascara

Let’s begin with the first mascara in our review, the Polite Society Greatest Lashes of All Time Mascara. This brand-new brand can be found at Ulta Beauty and retails for $27. According to the brand, it is designed to provide legendary volume, lift, and length. As someone who values all three of these qualities in a mascara, I was excited to put it to the test and see if it lives up to its claims.

The Brush

Polite Society dedicated a whole paragraph to talking about the unique brush of their mascara. It is patent pending and features very tiny silicone bristles that are tapered. Interestingly, I found similarities between this brush and the one used in COVERGIRL’s LashBlast mascara. Both have super tiny, rubberized bristles that are great for creating instant volume and length. I had high hopes for this formula.

Application and Results

Upon applying the Polite Society Greatest Lashes of All Time Mascara, I noticed that the first coat gave my lashes a feathery and wispy look. The brush easily hooked onto my lashes, separating them nicely. The formula of the mascara is on the drier side, which makes it easy to layer without weighing down the lashes. This was beneficial for me, as my lashes are naturally straight, long, and blonde.

Usually, it is difficult for me to achieve a natural curl with mascaras. However, this mascara surprised me by providing the desired curl and lift. My lashes looked more defined and lifted, which gave my eyes a more open and awakened appearance.

Flaking Issue

Unfortunately, I did notice some flaking with the Polite Society mascara. This was a slight drawback for an otherwise promising product. However, it is important to note that everyone’s lashes and experiences can vary, so it’s possible that the flaking issue may not be a concern for everyone.

The Polite Society Greatest Lashes of All Time Mascara is a fascinating new addition to the mascara market. Its unique brush design and formula offer the potential for great volume, lift, and length. While the mascara did deliver on these aspects, the issue of flaking is worth considering. If you are prone to experiencing flaking with mascaras, you may want to proceed with caution. Overall, the Polite Society mascara has its pros and cons, and it ultimately depends on your personal preferences and needs.

Mascara Claims

When it comes to mascaras, there are always claims that catch our attention. This particular mascara claims to be long-wearing, curling, and non-clumping. However, there is no mention of it being smudge-free, flake-free, or water-resistant. So, how well does it actually hold up? Let’s find out.

First Impressions

Upon initial application, I found this mascara to be quite fun to use. It allowed for easy layering and instantly added volume to my lashes. The claim of “legendary volume” seemed promising, though I couldn’t help but be a little skeptical about its longevity.

Four Hours In

After four hours of wearing the Polite Society Greatest Lashes of All Time Mascara, I took a closer look. Unfortunately, there were noticeable flakes. As I drove, I even noticed tiny black dots appearing everywhere. The flaking was quite disappointing, but on the bright side, there was almost zero transfer. Despite the flakes, my lashes still appeared feathery and had maintained their volume.

14 Hours Later

Fast forward 14 hours, and here’s how the Polite Society Mascara is holding up: the curl and lift have completely disappeared. I can’t explain what happened, as I hadn’t touched my eyes or experienced any emotional moments. It’s a bit perplexing to see the mascara lose its initial impact.

Mascara Review: Milabu Beauty Tries 5 New Mascaras

As a beauty enthusiast, I am always on the hunt for the perfect mascara. I want a formula that lengthens, defines, curls, and adds volume to my lashes. So, when I got my hands on five new mascaras to test, I was excited to see if any of them would live up to my expectations.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Lash Sculpt Lengthening & Volumizing Mascara

The first mascara I tried was the Lash Sculpt Mascara by Anastasia Beverly Hills. The packaging felt luxurious and had a nice weight to it. However, I was surprised to see that the wand was thinner than I expected. The bristles were soft boar bristles, and they were spread apart, not close together.

This mascara claims to give you the effect of extensions, and I was curious to see if it would deliver. I applied the mascara without curling my lashes to see how it would curl them on its own. The formula was grippy, and the bristles did a good job of gripping my lashes and separating them. After just one coat, I could see instant lengthening and separation.

I decided to apply a second coat, and I was impressed with the result. My lashes looked exactly how I wanted them to – long, defined, and voluminous. The wand with its spread-out bristles really did the trick in lifting and creating length. Overall, I was happy with the Lash Sculpt Mascara.

L’Oreal Paris Bambi Eye Mascara

The next mascara I tried was the Bambi Eye Mascara by L’Oreal Paris. The packaging was cute and whimsical, which caught my attention. The wand was larger than the previous mascara and had shorter bristles that were tightly packed together.

When I applied this mascara, I noticed that it gave me a lot of volume and separation. However, there was some flaking and a little bit of transfer on my lower lash line. It wasn’t excessive, but still something to consider.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara

The third mascara on my list was the Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara by Maybelline. The packaging was sleek and modern, and the wand was long with short bristles. The bristles were spaced apart evenly, and the formula promised length and volume.

When I applied this mascara, I immediately noticed that it gave me incredible length. My lashes looked sky-high and defined. However, there was some flaking as well, which was a downside.

Covergirl Exhibitionist Mascara

The fourth mascara I tried was the Exhibitionist Mascara by Covergirl. The packaging was simple and classic, and the wand had a medium size with dense bristles.

This mascara delivered on volume and separation. My lashes looked thick and fluttery, and there was minimal flaking and transfer. Overall, it was a good mascara, but not my favorite.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

The final mascara on my list was the Better Than Sex Mascara by Too Faced. This mascara is

The First Mascara: Free of Flaking, Smudging and Transfer

I was very impressed with the first mascara that I tested. It allowed me to curl my lashes beautifully. The claim was that this formula is free of flaking, smudging, and transfer. I must say, it lived up to that promise.

Introducing KVD Full Sleeve Long Defined Tubing Mascara

Moving on to the next mascara, we have the KVD Full Sleeve Long Defined Tubing Mascara. This formula is meant to lengthen and define the lashes. It also claims to provide some volume. But the best part about it is that it is flake-free and smudge-resistant for up to 24 hours of wear. Additionally, it can be easily removed with warm water. The convenience of tubing formulas is truly remarkable.

The Fascination of Silicone Bristles

One interesting aspect of the KVD Full Sleeve Mascara is its silicone bristles. They are rubberized and supposed to hook onto the lashes. The design resembles little crab claws, which is quite fascinating. The recommended application technique is to start with one coat and build up the layers while the formula is still wet to prevent clumping.

A Challenge in Building Up the Formula

However, building up the formula proved to be a challenge. Tubing formulas tend to be difficult to layer once they dry. Once the formula sets, it becomes difficult to work with. Despite trying to build up the KVD Full Sleeve Mascara, I was not satisfied with the results. The wand, specifically the bristles, did not separate my lashes as promised. Instead, it seemed to clump them together.

Disappointing Results

I must clarify that I did not wait for the formula to set before attempting to work with it. The formula was still wet. However, even under those circumstances, the wand failed to do its job effectively. It did not provide the desired separation and instead contributed to clumping.

ABH Mascara

The first mascara I tested was the ABH mascara. Unfortunately, I am not a fan of this mascara so far. It does not seem to be performing as well as I had hoped.

During the wear test, I noticed a little bit of transfer on my lower lash line. I did not set my concealer today, which has a natural finish, so I was expecting some transfer. However, there was no transfer on the KVD side.

One thing I appreciate about tubing formulas is that they usually do not transfer or flake. Thankfully, I did not see any flaking from the ABH mascara. Although the transfer was a bit disappointing, the lashes still looked phenomenal. They were curled, lifted, and beautifully defined.

KVD Mascara

Now, let’s move on to the KVD mascara. The difference between the two mascaras is quite noticeable. While the lashes on the KVD side are lengthened, they do not look as long as the lashes on the right side. This could be due to the fact that my lashes are naturally straight.

Mascara Check-In

After a few hours of wearing the mascaras, I decided to do a check-in. I was watching a show and I got a little emotional, resulting in some tears. To my surprise, there was still a good amount of mascara left on both sides.

There was a slight amount of flaking on both sides, but it was not excessive or extremely noticeable. Overall, the tubing formula of the KVD mascara held up well throughout the day.

Lack of Transformation

However, my main issue with the KVD mascara is that it does not make my lashes look phenomenal. It does not seem to do much for enhancing the appearance of my lashes.

Benefit Mascara Review

I tested the newest mascara from Benefit, the 24-hour Full Fan Effect Mascara. According to the claims, this mascara is supposed to be smudge-proof, water-resistant, and give your lashes a fanned-out look with amplified volume. It features a full flex fiber brush for easy application.

On first application, the mascara looked promising. It separated my lashes and fanned them out, giving them a nice black color. However, I noticed that it didn’t give me the desired lift and curl that I was looking for. Instead, it simply lengthened my lashes without providing much else.

I decided to give it another try and apply a second coat. The second coat did add a bit more definition and volume to my lashes, but the curl and lift were still minimal. Overall, I was not completely satisfied with the results.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Mascara Review

Next, I tried the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lash Sculpt Mascara. I was impressed with the formula of this mascara. It instantly lengthened, defined, and curled my lashes with just one coat. The second coat added even more definition, volume, and curl, which made me very happy with the overall look.

I Tested 5 New Mascaras So You Dont Have To | Milabu Beauty Review

Okay, that’s a second coat. It’s a drastic difference, but you can see right away where it’s getting a little bit clumpy and those little balls of mascara getting stuck on some of those lashes. But I think that’s where it’s helping to get that volume. It’s kinda weighing some of these lashes down.

Mascara is on, and I will say one thing, like I said it’s a little clumpy when you layer and it’s given me almost a waterproof, slash, tubing formula. Once you layer, I think there’s a limit of how much you can layer and how fast you can layer. Personally, I like the way my lashes are looking right now and I have really high hopes with the way this Fan Fest mascara by Benefit is going to wear.

Update 14 Hours In

So I’m doing just the one update for this mascara from Benefit 14 hours in, and this is what the lashes are looking like. Hopefully, you guys can see there’s a bit of flaking kind of like around the under-eye area. But not as much smudging like transfer under eyes or around right here on the eyelids. But I kind of feel like my lashes have dropped a little bit, especially this side.

For some reason, we did go swimming. I didn’t go underwater, but I was getting splashed from the kids. So some residual splashing may have caused the lashes to kind of fall down a tad, but I think this eye right here, the right eye…

1. Huda Beauty 1 Coat Wow Mascara

The new mascara from Huda Beauty, called 1 Coat Wow, claims to instantly curl and lift lashes with just one coat. The formula is stickier than expected, but still provides a very black, voluminous look. However, it does not lengthen or define lashes.

After five hours of wear, there is some transfer and flaking, but it is not too noticeable. The lashes still maintain their lift and curl.

2. Transfer and Wear Test

After 14 hours of wear, all of the mascaras tested showed signs of smudging, especially under the eyes. However, the Anastasia Beverly Hills mascara stood out with its impressive formula.

3. Anastasia Beverly Hills Mascara

The Anastasia Beverly Hills mascara surprised and impressed with its formula. It provided volume, lift, and curl without clumping or flaking. The lashes looked full and pigmented.

Despite the transfer and slight smudging after 14 hours, the overall performance of this mascara was remarkable.

4. Review of Other Tested Mascaras

While the Huda Beauty 1 Coat Wow mascara delivered on volume and curl, it lacked in lengthening and defining the lashes. The transfer and flaking after five hours were also a drawback.

Other mascaras tested had their own positives and negatives, but none stood out quite like the Anastasia Beverly Hills mascara.

5. Final Thoughts

Overall, testing these five new mascaras was an interesting experiment. Each mascara had its own unique qualities and performance. However, the Anastasia Beverly Hills mascara stood out as the winner with its impressive formula and long-lasting results.

When it comes to finding the perfect mascara, it’s all about personal preference and desired effects. But if you’re looking for volume, lift, and curl without sacrificing formula quality, the Anastasia Beverly Hills mascara is worth giving a try.

Milabu Beauty Review

The Polite Society Mascara

In my opinion, it’s a mascara worth looking into. Every other mascara, as I said, has its pluses and minuses, but most of them fell short in terms of longevity and how the lashes look at the end of the day. Unfortunately, the Polite Society mascara, although it has a beautiful formula to work with, didn’t hold up well for my lashes that have a hard time holding their curl. I lost a lot of that curl as the day went on. So, I think it’s my second runner-up.

The Benefit Fan. Fest Mascara

Next in line is the Benefit Fan. Fest mascara. I have to say, this one impressed me. The tubing formula after Fan: Fest is fantastic. It provided a good amount of length and volume to my lashes. It also held up well throughout the day. However, it wasn’t the top performer in terms of curl hold, so it takes the third spot for me.

The KVD Full Sleeve Mascara

Moving on to the KVD Full Sleeve mascara, I have mixed feelings about this one. It did provide decent length and volume, and it held up fairly well throughout the day. However, it didn’t wow me in terms of curl hold, which is important for my lashes. So, this mascara takes the fourth spot in my ranking.

The HUDABEAUTY 1 COAT WOW Mascara

Unfortunately, the HUDABEAUTY 1 COAT WOW mascara was the last one for me. Yes, it does give you really good volume, but the longevity is just not there whatsoever. It didn’t hold up well throughout the day, and that’s a major drawback for me. As much as I wanted to like it, it didn’t live up to my expectations.

Besides the loss of curl and lift, the mascara does have its merits. It does provide volume and feathery lashes, despite the flaking. However, the lack of longevity and smudge resistance raises concerns. It’s important to keep these factors in mind before deciding whether this mascara is worth trying.

Out of the five mascaras that I tested, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lash Sculpt Mascara was my favorite. It provided the lift, curl, and length that I desire in a mascara, and the formula was beautiful. The Benefit mascara, on the other hand, fell short in terms of delivering the promised fanned-out effect and volume.

Ultimately, everyone’s preferences and lashes are different, so what works for me may not work for you. It’s always best to test out different mascaras to find the one that suits your needs and preferences. Happy mascara hunting!

After testing these 5 new mascaras, I can confidently say that the Benefit Fan. Fest mascara is the winner in terms of longevity, curl hold, and overall performance. It provided a good balance of length, volume, and curl hold, making it my top choice. The Polite Society mascara, although beautiful to work with, fell short in curl hold. The KVD Full Sleeve mascara and HUDABEAUTY 1 COAT WOW mascara also had their limitations in terms of curl hold and longevity. So, if you’re looking for a new mascara, I highly recommend giving the Benefit Fan. Fest mascara a try.

Thank you so much for watching and spending time with me. I’ll see you in the next video very soon. Bye!
