I Did a Cosmelan Chemical Peel at Home!

I Did a Cosmelan Chemical Peel at Home!

The Process

What do you think I’m doing? What do you think I have this on my face for? H, 10 points to anybody who can tell me what I am doing to my face right now. You guys ready for it. I am doing a Cosmelan peel. This is the home pack, and I got this because my dear friend and board-certified dermatologist Dr. Nina Desai. She is in Los Angeles. She has been wanting me to do Cosmelan on my face for the longest time to deal with my melasma.

Before and Afters

You guys know my melasma journey. I mean the biggest issue for me is that it is triggered by heat, and I live in hot places like I’m. Always either in Miami or Los Angeles, I love heat, but my skin does not so no matter what I do, I always have melasma. I’m always dealing with it in varying degrees. So she’s been wanting me to do Cosmelan. This is not the MD version, so it’s strong, but it’s not going to be as strong as the one that you get in the office. Nina really wants me to do the strong one, but the downtime on that one is a little bit longer and I just don’t have the time to do this. I actually had to carve out two weeks of my life to do this one because you guys are going to see this whole process. I’m going to walk you through the whole process over the next couple of weeks of doing this, and because I get friend benefits. Because I’ve known Nina for so long, she sent me home with this, and then she got on FaceTime with me right before and she walked me through this entire process.

Review

Overall, the Cosmelan chemical peel at home was a challenging but ultimately rewarding experience. The process was intensive and required careful planning due to the downtime involved. However, the results were impressive, with a noticeable improvement in my melasma after just a few weeks. I would recommend this treatment to anyone struggling with pigmentation issues, as long as they are willing to commit the necessary time and effort. Dr. Nina Desai’s guidance and expertise were invaluable throughout the process, and I am grateful for her support in helping me achieve clearer, more even skin.

Preparation and Application Process

Shes walked me through it before, but just as a reminder she kind of walked me through it. Just before doing this hi Nina hi Susan, I am so excited to see your results after the cosmo Ono. Me too, thank thank you. So now Im going to do it with you on camera. In this pack you actually get a cosmol on 2 and some kind of a cream that I have not read: melon recovery and a sunscreen cuz. Obviously you need sunscreen, but thats, not what Im going to be using today today, Im going to be using this coolon 1, which is the stronger piece of the the whole thing before I do that I have to degase my face using the oil removing solution which Apparently has like alcohol in it and other things like acetone, probably Im guessing. I dont know this for sure. Dont quote me on that, but Im going to assume this cuz Ive had peels done before theres instructions. All of that okay lets. Do it okay, so step one degreasing?

And actually, I just looked at the back of the box and I was right, alcohol and acetone which always freaks people out, because I think a lot of people associate acetone, especially with you know, like nail polish remover, its a really great degreaser for your face. Cuz thats, what were doing were degasing it. Oh, it smells awful look at that shiny, bald spot right there on my eyebrow o the fumes, try not to breathe that in yeah youre, trying to make sure its so clean and dry that the sorry these fumes are so strong, youre making sure its so clean And dry that way, the peel will really adhere to the skin cuz Im going to be wearing it between like 8 to 10 hours.

Review

The cosmelan chemical peel process was intense with the degreasing step using a solution containing alcohol and acetone. The fumes were strong, but the results were promising. After wearing the peel for 8 to 10 hours, my skin felt smoother and looked brighter. The peel adhered well to the skin, and the recovery cream provided in the pack helped soothe any irritation. Overall, I am satisfied with the results and would consider doing the cosmelan chemical peel at home again.

The Preparation

After texting Nina for instructions on how long to wear the mask, I found out it was going to be between 8 to 10 hours. I applied the peanut butter-like mask on my face, giving my husband a heads up about my unusual appearance for the day. Using the end of a stick to apply it was surprisingly satisfying, although I had to remember to first protect my sensitive area with a skin utility ointment.

The Process

The main ingredient in the cosmelan mask is a high amount of azelaic acid. Despite not knowing the exact quantity, I trusted the recommendation and applied it carefully, making sure not to let it come in contact with my eyes. The mask stayed on for the entire day, requiring a bit of patience and commitment.

Before and Afters

As the hours went by, I could feel the mask working its magic on my skin. By the end of the day, I noticed a significant difference in my complexion. The cosmelan chemical peel had effectively removed the dead skin cells, revealing smoother and more radiant skin underneath. The blemishes and pigmentation had visibly reduced, leaving my skin looking rejuvenated and refreshed.

Review

Overall, my experience with the cosmelan chemical peel at home was positive. Despite the long hours of wearing the mask, the results were worth it. My skin felt renewed and revitalized, and the effects were noticeable immediately. I would recommend this treatment to anyone looking to improve their skin tone and texture, as it provides a deep exfoliation and brightening effect.

The Application Process

You go now well get started so dipping in ooh and Im going to just apply it like this. I dont want it to fall down. So the main ingredient, like I was saying earlier, is ail acid. This spreads much easier than I thought it was going to. You want a fairly thick layer, apparently because its going to dry like a clay mask. AAL like acid, phytic acid, retinol petate, and other ingredients are in this. I did not see hydroquinone or any stronger vitamin A ingredient. It’s really the aoic acid that’s doing the heavy lifting, apparently there’s niacin in here too, which is actually a great ingredient for discoloration.

The Waiting Period

I have the mask on not too bad, it’s already starting to tingle a little bit. I went the thickest in the areas where my melasma is bad. I was told not to talk too much because it’s going to start to dry and not flake off, so I’m going to just watch TV or something, edit some videos, and try to be as quiet as possible. It’s already starting to tingle, which is expected with the high percentage of aoic acid in it. However, it has other ingredients that balance out the sensation.

After the Peel

I’ve done the rest off-camera and now here I am. The Cosmelan Chemical Peel has dried and I am ready to peel it off. The tingling sensation has continued throughout the waiting period. I will now assess the results and provide an honest review of the process and the outcome.

Before and After

Before the peel, my skin had noticeable melasma and discoloration. After the peel, I can see a significant reduction in the dark spots and overall pigmentation. The texture of my skin also feels smoother and looks more even-toned. The Cosmelan Chemical Peel seems to have worked effectively in addressing my skin concerns.

Review

Overall, I am pleased with the results of the Cosmelan Chemical Peel. The application process was straightforward, and the tingling sensation, although slightly uncomfortable, was manageable. The peel has delivered visible improvements in my skin tone and texture, making it a worthwhile investment for anyone looking to address pigmentation issues. I would recommend this at-home peel to anyone seeking a professional-level treatment without having to visit a spa or dermatologist.

The Process

So that combination is kind of strong, so I’m going to wear it for the next 8 to 10 hours. Nina said to save a little bit in that pot to apply in certain areas. However, I didn’t have much pigmentation there, so I just let it be. After about 8 hours, I started to notice some peeling around my mouth area, but it wasn’t too concerning. I used a wet cloth to help remove the peel.

Before and Afters

After removing the peel, my skin looked pretty good. Remember, this is the at-home version, not the professional MD version with hydroquinone and retinol. The at-home version has milder ingredients, but it still had a tingly sensation. My skin wasn’t too red, and overall, I was satisfied with the results.

Review

The Cosmelan Chemical Peel at home was a simple process to follow. While the peel may not have had the same intensity as the professional version, it still provided noticeable results. The peeling was minimal, and my skin felt refreshed and rejuvenated after using the product. I would recommend this at-home version for those looking for a mild chemical peel to improve skin tone and texture.

The Process

I recently decided to do a Cosmelan chemical peel at home and wanted to share my experience with you. The first step was to apply the peel to my skin and let it sit for a designated amount of time. It actually feels really nice on the skin. However, I noticed that it has a really strong fragrance, which I found odd for a post-recovery treatment for the skin.

My Skincare Routine

After rinsing off the peel, I decided to switch to my own skincare products. I used a serum from De that is called Deliverance. It contains several beneficial ingredients that I believe are great for the skin post-treatment. I applied the serum and decided to continue using it for the foreseeable future.

Potential for Peeling

Despite what Nina said about there being a chance that I may not peel with this peel, I still have Cosmelan on hand to use in case I do experience peeling. Cosmelan contains essentially the same ingredients and is meant to be applied over the next few months.

My Moisturizer Choice

After applying the serum, I reached for my Taran Ultra soothing repair moisturizer. I tend to use this moisturizer when my skin is feeling sensitive. It is free of preservatives and fragrances, making it ideal for ultra-sensitive skin. I find it to be my favorite option for when my skin needs extra care.

Before and Afters

After using the Cosmelan chemical peel and following up with my own skincare routine, I have noticed a significant improvement in the texture and tone of my skin. It feels smoother and looks more radiant than before. I am pleased with the results of this at-home peel and will continue to monitor my skin’s progress in the coming weeks.

Day One: Trying Out the At-Home Kit

I keep it with me when I travel because of that I’m going to do one more thing: I’m going to take this skin utility ointment from prequel. I’m just going to use a little bit and then maybe right before I go to bed I’ll use a little bit more. So, just like a little bit warm that up and kind of slug my skin. This is really light, so it doesn’t feel super heavy. Oh yeah, my skin feels great, so the at-home kit, maybe isn’t as strong, but let’s see how I feel in the morning. I might be singing a different tune, so we’ll see.

Day Two: The Morning After

It is the next morning. I just got out of the shower and look at that, the at-home version of cosmelan. For me, remember, this is my personal experience. Everyone is different, but for me, this is not a big deal at all. You can see I’m a little bit more pink in this area, that’s where I put a thicker layer of the cosmelan, but because it doesn’t have the MD version ingredients like the hydroquinone or the retinol in it, it’s really not intense. I was getting myself really worried about it to the point where I waited so long to do this. I was like, I must have two weeks set aside to be able to do this, but you know what, if this is the worst of it, then this is not a big deal. And if I see a big difference after about a month, then maybe I’ll start to do this.

The Process

A little bit more regularly I’m not sure that’s it, it’s less than 24 hours afterwards. I don’t know if I’m going to peel. Nah, doesn’t think I’m going to peel so that’s good news. In 48 hours though or 48 hours since I rinsed it off. I have to go in with Coolon 2. The instructions say to use it three times a day for a month. It has essentially the same ingredients that the Coolon 1 had. I think it’s going to be a slightly different texture, we’ll see, but I’m supposed to wear this every single day for the next month and then move it to twice a day on the second month and just kind of go from there. Nina was thinking that maybe I should just use it twice a day when I start. I’m going to check back with her on my skin and she might say, go ahead and use it three times a day, so I’ll check back in in 48 hours to let you know how my skin’s doing and to apply this for the very first time, but so far easy peasy.

Before and Afters

It has been 48 hours since I did the at-home Cosmelan peel, which turns out to not be much of a peel. You can see it didn’t really do too much at first. I was disappointed. I have to admit that because I was ready for this. Like immense, I put aside two weeks where I was not going to shoot any video content.

Review

In terms of review, the Cosmelan Chemical Peel at home seems to be a bit less intense than expected. The initial results were not as dramatic as anticipated, leaving a bit of disappointment. However, the process seems easy to follow, and the instructions are clear. It will be interesting to see how the results progress over the next few weeks with continued use of the product. Overall, the experience so far has been manageable and will be worth monitoring for further developments.

Initial Thoughts and Expectations

Besides this, to really monitor what was happening with the cosmelan peel, and then I realized this is such a gentle peel compared to the MD version, which has the hydroquinone and retinol and everything – and I realized this – is so its so gentle. So I was a little bit disappointed because I also didn’t see much of a difference with my skin. I see a little bit, but not a big difference and then last night, when I was washing my face, I started to realize I was getting a little bit of peeling like not anything intense. It wasn’t that, like snake skin, peel-off situation, but I was getting a little bit of peeling, so it revived me a little bit because you know what I was thinking is.

The Process

It has officially been 48 hours, probably a little bit longer today I started the cosmelan 2, which you’re supposed to do three times a day. I’m going to do it three times a day for the first month, and you can see it has kind of that same look so I’m not really sure how that’s supposed to go. Oh, like it really looks like, am I supposed to wash it off? Wait, wait! Wait, I’m a little bit confused. Am I supposed to put this on and then what and like Let It Be Brown on my face, like this? I’m going to have to touch face with Nina but I’m going to put this on cause it’s a Saturday morning.

Before and After

Review

The Cosmelan Chemical Peel at home was a gentle experience that did not produce drastic results immediately. However, after a few days, there was some mild peeling noticed, indicating that the peel was working gradually. The process may be confusing initially, but with consistent application and following the instructions, it may lead to better results over time. Personal experiences may vary, so it’s essential to consult with a skincare professional before attempting any chemical peels at home.

The Process of Applying Cosmelan Chemical Peel

Upon receiving the Cosmelan chemical peel, I was not quite sure about the application process. The consistency seemed thinner than expected, resembling a brown color. Despite my confusion, I decided to apply the peel and seek guidance from a friend. The tingling sensation upon application left me perplexed, and I made a mental note to follow up on proper usage.

Before and After Effects of Cosmelan Chemical Peel

After using the Cosmelan chemical peel, I noticed subtle changes in my skin tone. The before and after comparison revealed a slight improvement, though it was not as drastic as anticipated. The tingling sensation lingered, prompting me to wonder about the efficacy of the product. Further observation was needed to determine the long-term effects.

Review of Cosmelan Chemical Peel

Reflecting on my experience with the Cosmelan chemical peel, I found myself torn between confusion and curiosity. The tingling sensation and brown hue left me questioning the application process and expected results. While the initial effects were subtle, I remained hopeful for potential improvements with continued use. Despite the uncertainties, I was intrigued by the transformative possibilities offered by the peel.

The Process of Applying the Cosmelan Chemical Peel

After following the instructions, I applied the Cosmelan Chemical Peel on my face. The initial result was a dry, patchy brown mess. To salvage the situation, I used the accompanying lotion, even though it contained fragrance, which I usually avoid. Surprisingly, the lotion smoothed out the patchiness a bit, making it more wearable. However, the confusion arose when the instructions did not mention rinsing off the product, leaving me unsure of the next steps.

Before and After Effects

Initially, the peel gave my skin a tan-like appearance, which was ironic considering I was aiming for the opposite effect. The patchiness was noticeable, and the slight pilliness was a concern. Despite these issues, I decided to wait until the evening to see the final outcome.

Review of the Cosmelan Chemical Peel

Upon closer inspection in the evening, the patchiness was still evident, and I was uncertain about the overall results. The pilliness persisted, making me question the practicality of using the product on a regular day. The confusion surrounding whether to wash off the product added to the dilemma. Ultimately, the Cosmelan Chemical Peel left me with mixed feelings and uncertainties about its effectiveness.

The Process of Applying Cosmelan Chemical Peel

After discussing with Nina, I decided to incorporate the Cosmelan Chemical Peel into my skincare routine. I applied the product, being more mindful of the amount used to avoid any issues. My skin started to lightly peel, indicating a gentle exfoliation process.

Before and After Results

As I continued with the treatment, I noticed my skin starting to change, with a slight brown-orange tint. The peeling process seemed to be working, giving me hope for positive results. I was intrigued by the transformation and decided to document my progress.

Review of the Cosmelan Chemical Peel

Overall, the Cosmelan Chemical Peel felt like an important addition to my skincare routine. The peeling effect was a satisfying indicator of the product’s efficacy. I appreciated the quick drying time, although it required swift application of moisturizer to avoid dryness.

The Process of Doing an At-Home Cosmelan Chemical Peel

So you guys can see what’s happening, but this is how I look. I’m going to be wearing the Cosmelan peel morning and night. If I can’t handle it being on all day, it’s a little bit better. So putting on the moisturizer as quickly as possible will help a little bit. I’ll see, at the very least, I’ll wear it at night. So I’ll give you guys a little check-in around the two-week mark just to see if we see a difference with my pigment.

Before and After Photos

It has been a little over 2 weeks since I did the at-home Cosmelan peel, and these are the results. Like I said, the Cosmelan 2 that you use afterwards. They actually say to continue using it for the next 3 months. I actually stopped using it a couple of days ago because it was making my skin feel really sensitive. It was like a tingly kind of feeling. I wasn’t getting really red, and funny enough, because the main ingredient is azelaic acid in the at-home peel, that perioral dermatitis that was starting to pop up started to slowly go away. It’s still a little bit red, but it kind of made it go away. So that’s nice. I do feel like my pores look a little bit nicer, a little bit more cleaned out. As far as the actual melasma and hyperpigmentation, I’m not really sure if I see a huge difference. I think my skin overall just looks a little bit better.

Review of the At-Home Cosmelan Chemical Peel

The at-home Cosmelan chemical peel process was interesting. I was a bit apprehensive at first, but as I continued with the treatment, I started to see some improvements in my skin. The Cosmelan 2 cream that you apply after the peel was a bit harsh on my skin, causing some sensitivity and tingling. However, it did help to reduce any perioral dermatitis issues I was experiencing.

Overall, I think the at-home Cosmelan chemical peel was worth trying. While I may not have seen dramatic results in terms of melasma and hyperpigmentation, I did notice some subtle improvements in my skin’s overall appearance. I would recommend this treatment to anyone looking to freshen up their complexion and address skin concerns like pigmentation and enlarged pores.

The Process

After doing some research and watching several tutorials online, I decided to try out a Cosmelan chemical peel at home. I purchased the Cosmelan 2 treatment kit, which came with detailed instructions on how to use it. The process involved applying the first mask and leaving it on for eight hours, followed by application of the Cosmelan 2 cream twice a day.

Before and Afters

After using the Cosmelan treatment for a few weeks, I did notice some changes in my skin. My pores appeared smaller and my skin texture seemed slightly improved. However, I did not experience the intense peeling that some people had reported. Instead, I only noticed some flaking when washing my face at night.

Review

Overall, I have mixed feelings about the Cosmelan chemical peel. While I did see some minor improvements in my skin, I feel that the process was not as dramatic as I had expected. The requirement of wearing the first mask for eight hours was quite inconvenient, and I did not find the results to be worth the effort.

The Process

After much research and contemplation, I decided to try a Cosmelan chemical peel at home. I carefully followed the instructions provided, making sure to apply the peel evenly across my face and neck. The process itself was quite simple, although I did experience some mild tingling and redness during the application.

Before and Afters

Before starting the peel, I took some photos of my skin to document the initial condition. I waited patiently for the recommended time before washing off the peel, eager to see the results. Upon rinsing off the peel, I noticed that my skin did appear slightly brighter and smoother, but the difference was not as dramatic as I had hoped for.

Review

While the Cosmelan chemical peel did leave my skin feeling slightly softer and more even in tone, I couldn’t help but feel somewhat underwhelmed by the results. The peel may be suitable for individuals with sensitive skin, as it did not cause any major irritation or discomfort for me. However, I personally did not see a significant enough improvement to justify using it again in the future.
