Colourpop is in India!

Now the brand launched on Nika – and I received this huge PR box from Nika – this has got some amazing products, especially eye makeup other than this. I also purchased some products from their official website in the past Id say about a year ago. Most of those products are available on Nika now, so I can share my opinion on them other than that.

Tinted Moisturizer – Colourpop Pretty Fresh Tinted Moisturizer

The first thing that the brand has to claim about this tinted moisturizer is that it’s very lightweight and has a sheer coverage. In my opinion, you can use it with your hands, a brush, or a makeup sponge. It contains hyaluronic acid and coconut water, which makes it feel very hydrating. It has a hydrating formula that gives a fresh and healthy look to the skin.

This tinted moisturizer does make my skin look very fresh, but it’s not very long-lasting. It lasts for about 3 to 4 hours at max. It’s great for evening out the appearance of the skin, but if you have dark spots or pigmentation, you will need a concealer to cover them. As the name suggests, this tinted moisturizer has a very light tint.

Lip Products

When Colourpop launched in India, I couldn’t resist buying some lip products. They have a wide range of lipsticks, lip glosses, and liquid lipsticks to choose from. One of my favorites is their Ultra Matte Lip in the shade “Beeper.” It’s a beautiful nude shade that suits my skin tone perfectly. The formula is matte but not overly drying, and it lasts for a decent amount of time.

Another lip product that I love is their Lippie Stix in the shade “Parker.” It’s a gorgeous deep berry shade that is perfect for the fall season. The formula is creamy and glides on smoothly, making it easy to apply. It has a satin finish and feels comfortable on the lips.

Eye Makeup

Colourpop also has a fantastic range of eye makeup products. One of my favorites is their Super Shock Shadows. These are cream-powder eyeshadows that have a unique bouncy texture. They are highly pigmented and blend effortlessly on the eyelids. One swipe of these shadows gives intense color payoff, and they stay put all day without creasing.

I also love their Gel Liners, especially the shade “Swerve.” It’s a jet-black liner that is perfect for creating precise winged eyeliner looks. The formula is creamy and glides on smoothly without tugging or smudging. It dries down to a matte finish and stays in place throughout the day.

Another eye makeup product that I highly recommend is their Brow Boss Pencil. This pencil has a fine tip that makes it easy to create precise and natural-looking brow strokes. The formula is long-lasting and doesn’t smudge or fade. It also comes with a spoolie on the other end, which is great for blending and shaping the brows.

Colourpop has made its mark in India with its wide range of affordable and high-quality makeup products. From their tinted moisturizer to their lip products and eye makeup, there is something for everyone. I highly recommend checking out their products, especially

The Next Claim: Skin Hydration for a Flawless Complexion

The brand claims that their product supports skin hydration for a flawless complexion. I have to admit, it does keep my skin hydrated for the amount of time it’s on my face. I really appreciate that it comes in 20 shades on their official website. However, on Nika, they only launched eight shades, so I’m not sure if you will find your shade or not. Nevertheless, it’s a product that works well for those with good skin. If you already have good skin, it will enhance your complexion even further.

The Pretty Fresh Concealer

Now, let’s move on to the pretty fresh concealer. While the brand claims that this is a full coverage concealer, I wouldn’t label it as such. In my opinion, it’s more of a buildable formula. Similar to the previous product, it also contains hyaluronic acid and coconut water. It effectively covers blemishes and dark circles without appearing cakey or drying out. This claim holds true for me. However, I can’t help but wonder if it will perform as well on oily skin. As someone with normal to dry skin, it feels very comfortable and lightweight on my skin. Unfortunately, only 12 shades are available on Nika. I will mention my shade in the description box, but I’m uncertain if it will be available on Nik or not, as I personally purchased this concealer from their official website.

The Colourpop No Filter Setting Powder in Banana

Moving on, let’s talk about the colourpop no filter setting powder in banana. This product is used to set your makeup and provide a matte finish. It claims to be long-lasting and finely milled, giving you a flawless complexion. Personally, I find that this setting powder does help my makeup last longer without feeling heavy or cakey. It effectively controls shine and gives my skin a smooth finish. However, I’m not sure if it will suit all skin types, particularly those with oily skin. As for the shade range, I haven’t seen any major complaints. The powder comes in several shades, so you should be able to find your perfect match.

Blurring Imperfections for a Filter-Like Effect

This loose setting powder from Colourpop claims to blur imperfections and give a filter-like effect to the skin. I have found that it does indeed blur my skin, but I have to be careful not to use too much as loose powders tend to be drying for my skin. However, when applied sparingly, it does give a nice blurring effect.

Ultra Fine and Long Lasting Powder

The Colourpop setting powder is very finely milled, which I love. It kept my base matte throughout the day and does reduce shine. It is also super lightweight and comfortable on the skin. The only downside is that it can cake if you use too much, so a light hand is necessary.

Colourpop Sup Shock Blush – Shade: Birthday Suit

The Colourpop Sup Shock blush in the shade Birthday Suit is a putty blush that requires a specific application method. It is easier to apply with fingers rather than a brush. You have to work your brush on the pan to get the product on the brush.

The shade Birthday Suit is a perfect plum shade for medium skin tones. The blush has a cream-to-powder formula, making it lightweight and buildable. This is the main feature of the blush, which gives you control over the pigmentation. However, if you prefer a more subtle blush, this might not be the best option for you. It requires building up the color, which may not be everyone’s preference.

I personally enjoy the ability to control the pigmentation, but I understand that some people may find it challenging to get the desired amount of pigment in one go. If you prefer a bam amount of pigment, this blush may not meet your expectations and can be a bit messy to work with.

Colourpop Eyeshadow Palettes: Plum Season

The Colourpop Nine Pan Pressed Powder Palette in the shade Plum Season is one of my absolute favorites. I have always been a huge fan of Colourpop eyeshadow palettes because the quality is just amazing. The mattes in this palette blend like a dream, and I can confidently say that I love them just as much as my Huda Beauty palettes.

The color story of each Colourpop palette is so unique and aesthetic. They are not your regular neutrals, but somehow they work so well on my skin tone. They blend seamlessly and effortlessly, creating a stunning look with just a few shades. Even when I’m doing a simple look with a couple of shades in the crease and one shade on the lid, it looks incredibly pretty and almost magical. Colourpop truly knows how to create beautiful eyeshadow palettes.

Colourpop Shadow Sticks: Juicy Gossip

Moving on to Colourpop Shadow Sticks, I have fallen in love with the shade Juicy Gossip. These shadow sticks are super creamy and ultra pigmented. The application is effortless and it glides on like a dream. The shade Juicy Gossip is absolutely stunning and can be used in multiple ways. You can apply it on your lid for a pop of color, smudge it for a smoky effect, or even use it as an inner corner highlight. In my opinion, this shade, along with the other options Colourpop offers, is definitely worth trying.

Colourpop SSS: Rooftop Cocktails

Another one of my favorite products from Colourpop is their Super Shock Shadows. The shade Rooftop Cocktails is a personal favorite of mine. These eyeshadows have a bouncy putty formula that feels unique and luxurious. Just like the Colourpop blushes, these one and done eyeshadows are incredibly good. The color payoff is intense, and the formula is long-lasting.

Colourpop has truly impressed me with their range of eyeshadow products. From their stunning eyeshadow palettes to their creamy shadow sticks and bouncy Super Shock Shadows, there is something for everyone. I hope that Colourpop continues to launch more products in India because they have proven themselves to be a brand worth trying.

The Perfect Eyeshadow Shade

Just one shade on your entire eye and trust me, you will slay. The Colourpop eyeshadow that I have is a multi chrome shade, with a brown base and a blue green shift. When I applied it to my eyes, I could immediately see the pop of color and the beautiful shift. It truly made my eyes stand out and I couldn’t wait to try more of Colourpop’s offerings.

A Confusion with Lip Shades

Moving on to the lips, I must admit I got a little confused with the lip shade selection. I wanted something that would go perfectly with the eye look I had created, but none of the lipsticks seemed to match. I tried out the After Shock shade, but I’m not entirely sure if that was the exact shade. However, it kind of washed me out and didn’t complement the eye look as I had hoped.

Exploring Different Lip Options

After realizing that the lipsticks weren’t working for me, I decided to switch it up and try something different. I reached for the Fresh Kiss glossy lip stain in ber ripe. I applied just a little bit of it to my lips and then added a clear gloss on top. Although it looked okay, I personally believe that K-beauty brands have better lip crayons with superior formulas and more color options. So, I wasn’t completely satisfied with the Colourpop lip products in comparison.

The Finished Look

After experimenting with the eyeshadow and lip products, this was the finished look. Although I had mixed feelings about some of the Colourpop products, I must say that the eyeshadow definitely stole the show. It added a touch of uniqueness and made my eyes pop. I would love to hear your thoughts on Colourpop’s launch in India and if you have any favorite Colourpop products.

Looking Towards the Future

The Colourpop launch in India has given beauty enthusiasts like myself the opportunity to try out their highly raved-about products. While I might not have loved every item I tried, the eyeshadow was definitely a standout. I’m curious to see what other products Colourpop has in store and I’m open to trying them out in the future. Let me know if there’s any particular product from the brand you would like me to review next.

Overall, Colourpop’s entrance into the Indian market has been met with excitement. Their range of products, including the ones I’ve mentioned, offer a variety of options for different skin types and preferences. While there are limitations in terms of shade availability on certain platforms, the quality and performance of the products deserve recognition. If you’re someone who enjoys experimenting with makeup and wants to achieve a flawless complexion, give Colourpop a try. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!
