Ciele Tint & Protect SPF 50 Tinted Serum

The first product from Ciele Cosmetics that we are going to test and review is the Ciele Tint & Protect SPF 50 Tinted Serum. This tinted serum costs $44 and offers medium coverage that is buildable. It claims to have a natural finish, but we will have to put it to the test to see if that holds up.

To start with, the instructions recommend shaking the product well before use. Then, you can either apply six to nine drops directly onto your skin or use your fingertips, a brush, or a sponge. I decided to use a brush and applied three drops to each side of my face.

Using a gentle tapping motion, I began blending the tinted serum into my skin. I found that this method gave me the best coverage. The color was a little light for my skin tone, but I was fine with that. The product blended out really nicely, which is something I expect from a tinted serum.

The finish, however, turned out to be more than just natural. It had a dewy finish, which gave my skin a natural glow. If you prefer a matte finish, this might not be the product for you. Overall, though, I was pleased with the blendability and the finish of this tinted serum.

Ciele Matchstick Concealer

Next up is the Ciele Matchstick Concealer. This concealer comes in a stick form and costs $28. It claims to offer full coverage and a natural finish. Let’s see if it lives up to those claims.

Using the stick concealer, I applied it directly onto the areas I wanted to conceal, such as under my eyes and any blemishes. Then, I used my fingertips to blend it in. I found that the formula was creamy and easy to blend, providing good coverage.

The finished look was indeed natural, as promised. It didn’t look cakey or heavy on my skin, which is always a plus. The price might be a bit steep for some, but if you’re in the market for a high-quality, natural-looking concealer, this could be worth the investment.

Ciele Liphaul Lipstick

Lastly, let’s talk about the Ciele Liphaul Lipstick. This lipstick comes in a variety of shades and costs $32. It claims to be long-lasting and moisturizing. Let’s find out if it lives up to those claims.

I chose the shade “Rosewood” and applied it directly to my lips. The formula felt creamy and moisturizing, which was a pleasant surprise. The color payoff was great, and it lasted for a good amount of time without needing frequent touch-ups.

As for the moisturizing claim, I did feel that my lips stayed hydrated throughout the wear time. Usually, with long-lasting lipsticks, my lips tend to feel dry and uncomfortable, but that wasn’t the case with this lipstick.

Overall, I was impressed with the Ciele Liphaul Lipstick. The shade selection, formula, and longevity make it a great option for those who want a comfortable and long-lasting lipstick.

Ciele Cosmetics offers a range of products that are worth considering if you’re looking for clean, acne-safe makeup with SPF protection. The Tint & Protect SPF 50 Tinted Serum, Matchstick Concealer, and

Blendability and Coverage

Three drops directly on the sponge. But it’s looking really good. So far, no issues with blendability. I can kind of see it in some areas where it’s just sitting on top of my skin, but that could also be due to the lighter shade than my skin tone. The sponge is soaking up a little more product than the brush, so we’re not getting as even of a coverage from side to side. Three more drops on the brush. Do a little bit more on this side, where the sponge was just to get a little more coverage.

Layering and Wearability

And again, I give it some time for the first layer to set. I’m curious how this is going to wear on my combination skin. I think it layered really nice though. It’s very even, I’m not looking splotchy in any areas, but let’s do the rest of my makeup. I’m gonna quickly do my bronzer, contour my eyes, and then we’ll come back because we have a blush, a liquid blush from Ciele, and their SPF powder. My contour stick is from Westman Atelier, and my concealer is from Tower 28.

Ciele Liquid Blush

So the next new makeup from Ciele is their liquid blush. It’s supposed to be a creamy hydrating formula with a natural finish. I’m really excited about this because I like liquid blushes that have a natural finish, and the name is one of my favorite things about this blush – Elodie. It’s named after my daughter, so I had to get it because it’s my daughter’s name.

Application and

So the application, again, super easy.

The Blush

Using a doe foot applicator, I applied a small drop of the Ciele Cosmetics blush on my cheek. I had the option to use my fingers, a brush, or a sponge to blend it out. For this review, I decided to use the Rare Beauty blush brush. Surprisingly, the color payoff was pretty good. I expected it to be a bit more sheer, but it wasn’t. However, I noticed a white dot on my cheek and wondered where it came from. Despite that, I was impressed with how easily the blush blended. The color payoff was impressive with just a single dot, and it was super blendable too. This blush is definitely user-friendly and the end result was beautiful. Although, I feel like I want a little bit more.

The SPF 30 Powder

Next, let’s review the Ciele Cosmetics SPF 30 powder. This product retails for $38 in the US and comes in shade number 01, with two other shades available. The Ciele Filter & Protect Powder claims to smooth, blur, and set your makeup. I love using powders for touch-ups throughout the day, and this one felt incredibly soft.

To set my makeup, I used the powder puff included with the product. I gently worked the powder into the puff and started with my forehead. The finish was definitely matte, and I wouldn’t consider it a natural finish. It also had a blurring effect, which was impressive.

The

Based on my wear test and review, the Ciele Cosmetics blush and SPF 30 powder are both promising products. The blush had a good color payoff and was easy to blend. Meanwhile, the SPF 30 powder did a great job of mattifying and blurring my skin. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by both products and would recommend giving them a try.

The Application and Finish

When it comes to applying the Ciele Filter & Protect Powder, I noticed that it immediately dried up upon application. This could be a concern for those with dry skin or even normal to dry skin types, as it may result in a less desirable outcome. While it does offer a blurring effect and a smooth appearance, it leans heavily towards a matte finish rather than the natural finish it claims to provide. So, if you have normal to combination skin or extremely oily skin, this product might be more suitable for you.

The Wear Test

Now, let’s move on to the wear test. At this point, I am three hours into reviewing the Ciele Cosmetics products. Unfortunately, I have noticed a slight breakdown of the powder, especially around my nose area. It seems that the oils on my skin have started to interfere with the longevity of the product. This could be a downside for those who struggle with oiliness, especially in the T-zone.

Concerns for Dry Skin

As previously mentioned, the drying effect of the Ciele Filter & Protect Powder can be a potential concern for individuals with dry skin. So, if you fall into this category, it’s worth considering whether the blurring and smoothing effects are worth the trade-off of a matte finish. Additionally, it may require some extra effort to ensure the powder is properly blended into the skin for a flawless look.

Chin and Mouth Concerns

When observing my face during the wear test of Ciele Cosmetics, I immediately noticed that the product seemed to settle into the fine lines and crevices around my chin and mouth area. Unfortunately, this resulted in an unflattering appearance, with the skin tint and powder not blending well together. As someone with combination skin, the natural oils on my face were rising to the surface, and the powder was trying to combat this oiliness. However, the combination of oil, skin tint, and powder seemed to emphasize the texture and crevices on my skin.

Positive Results on Cheeks, Jaw, and Forehead

Although the situation on my chin and mouth was less than ideal, other areas of my face fared better. Surprisingly, my cheeks, jawline, and forehead looked good. In fact, my forehead appeared glowy, which was a positive result. I did notice some increased oiliness on my forehead, as it is the oiliest part of my face, but it was not overwhelming. Despite feeling a little oily, my forehead did not feel tight.

Overall Impression at the End of the Day

After wearing the Ciele Cosmetics products for over 13 hours, I can conclude this review. While my forehead impressed me with its glow and manageable oiliness, the rest of my face did not have the same positive outcome. Unfortunately, cracks started forming on the makeup, especially in the area I highlighted earlier.

It is worth noting that the Ciele Cosmetics skin tint, liquid blush, and powder did not perform well on my combination skin, particularly in the areas where fine lines and crevices are more prominent. However, it is important to remember that everyone’s skin is different, and these results might vary from person to person.

Liquid Blush: A Blendable and Flawless Finish

When it comes to Ciele Cosmetics, there are some hits and misses. While some products disappoint with their dry and aged appearance, the liquid blush stands out as a favorite. Its blendability is incredible, and it doesn’t exacerbate the texture or enhance the pores on the cheeks.

Unlike other liquid blushes that tend to sit on the cheeks and settle into facial creases, this liquid blush seamlessly melts into the skin, becoming one with it. Its finish is stunning and natural, making it a must-have product for a flawless look.

Skin Tint: A Radiant and Buildable Formula

Moving on to the skin tint, it overall provides a decent result. However, those with oilier skin may not find it to be a long-lasting option. The formula has a radiant and glowy appearance, which can feel tacky if not properly set. Without setting, the skin tint may start to slip and slide on the face throughout the day.

One of the positives of the skin tint is its easy blendability and buildable coverage. It doesn’t look heavy or cakey, giving a natural and subtle finish. However, if longevity is a priority for you, this may not be the best choice.

First Impressions

Upon receiving the Ciele Cosmetics products, I couldn’t help but marvel at the sleek and minimalist packaging. The brand’s attention to detail was evident, as each item was carefully wrapped and secured. I felt a wave of excitement as I unwrapped them, eager to put them to the test.

Foundation

The Ciele Cosmetics foundation claimed to provide a flawless and natural-looking finish. As I applied it to my skin, I was pleased to discover its lightweight and buildable formula. The coverage was impressive, effortlessly evening out my complexion without feeling heavy or cakey. I was also pleasantly surprised by its long-lasting power, as it stayed put throughout the day.

Eyeshadow Palette

Moving on to the eyeshadow palette, I was captivated by the wide range of shades available. The palette boasted a combination of matte, shimmer, and metallic finishes, providing endless possibilities for creative eye looks. The pigmentation was commendable, as the colors appeared vibrant and true to pan. The shadows blended seamlessly, allowing for effortless application.

Mascara

Next up was the Ciele Cosmetics mascara, which claimed to volumize and lengthen lashes. The wand was thoughtfully designed, with densely packed bristles that coated each lash effortlessly. I was impressed by the formula’s ability to add both volume and length, creating a dramatic effect without clumping. The mascara held up well throughout the day, not smudging or flaking.

Lipstick

The Ciele Cosmetics lipstick promised a comfortable and long-wearing formula. As I swiped it onto my lips, I was pleased to discover its creamy and hydrating texture. The color payoff was impressive, providing full coverage in just one swipe. The lipstick stayed put for hours, even surviving meals and drinks. I appreciated how it didn’t leave my lips feeling dry or uncomfortable.

The Ciele Cosmetics products, specifically the Filter & Protect Powder, offer a blurring effect and a matte finish. While this may be appealing to those with normal to combination or oily skin, it may not meet the needs of individuals with dry skin. Keep in mind that the wear test revealed some weaknesses in terms of oil control, particularly in the T-zone area. Ultimately, the decision to try this product should depend on your specific skin type and preferences.

My experience with Ciele Cosmetics was a mixed bag. While there were some positive aspects, such as the glowy forehead and non-oily sensation, there were also drawbacks, including the uneven settling of the products and cracking on my skin. It is always essential to do a wear test and consider your skin type before investing in any cosmetics.

The Ciele Cosmetics products exceeded my expectations in terms of quality and performance. Each item was carefully crafted, offering impressive results that lasted throughout the day. Whether you’re looking for a foundation that provides flawless coverage, an eyeshadow palette with versatile shades, a mascara that adds volume and length, or a lipstick that stays put, Ciele Cosmetics has you covered. I highly recommend giving these products a try and experiencing the wonders they can do for your beauty routine.
