Black vs Brown Makeup Comparison

UM.. WOW! BLACK VS BROWN MAKEUP!

Side by Side Comparison

I feel like black mascara is the only thing I mean my entire life Ive, never really worn Brown mascara. So it prompted me to want to make a video doing one of my eyes in brown. Tones Brown, liner, Brown mascara and the other in Black, which I feel like is a lot more common and to see which might be more flattering now.

Preference Towards Browns

As I get older Im gearing towards Browns Im, gearing towards more neutral, less harsh when I was in school, I used to take a black eyes shadow that a little squishy brush. There would be powder in my eyes, but it was worth it to look that cool.

Experimenting with Makeup

So today, what Im going to do is Im going to do one of my eyes with brown mascara and brown eyeliner and the other with black, and were going to do a side by side comparison to see if it makes that big of a difference. If its more flattering and just kind of see how it looks so, Im Im actually really intrigued.

Application Process

Im going to do both of my eyes with the same brown eyeshadow, then Im going to finish one off with black one off with brown, so lets just get going. Ive already Ive Ive obviously already done my base and everything like that. So we can just get right into it.

Eyeliner Comparison: Brown vs Black

When it comes to makeup, one of the most debated topics is the choice between brown and black eyeliner. Both colors have their own unique qualities and can drastically change your overall look.

Black mascara is known for its dramatic effect, providing bold and defined lashes that stand out. It can add sharpness and intensity to your eyes, making them appear larger and more prominent. On the other hand, brown mascara offers a softer and more subtle look. It can give a more natural appearance while still enhancing your lashes.

Similarly, black eyeliner is often favored for its striking and bold look. It can create a sharp and defined line that adds intensity and drama to your eyes. Brown eyeliner, on the other hand, is a great option for a softer and more understated look. It can define your eyes without looking too harsh or heavy.

Ultimately, the choice between black and brown makeup comes down to personal preference and the look you’re trying to achieve. Whether you prefer the dramatic effect of black or the subtle elegance of brown, both colors have their own beauty and can enhance your features in different ways.

Starting with a Light Shade

So Im going to start with a light shade. This is hot gossip from The colourpop Bear Necessities palette and Im just going to run that through the crease of each eye, so we can get like a nice little base down. I would say this is sort of a it leans, a tad bit more warm, but I might go a little more neutral, so we can see TOS a little bit of on holiday to kind of neutralize that a little bit all right.

Brown vs Black Mascara

Those are both exactly the same now just a little eyes: Shadow okay. Now, what Im going to do is, I think, Im going to choose my right side to be the brown and then my left side to be the black so for the brown Im going to go in with the Huda, Beauty, creamy, coal, pencil and very Brown.

Actually, interestingly, received this Huda Beauty pencil in a black and a brown and then weirdly in the mail yesterday, I also received This Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara in the brown and the black. Its almost like the brands wanted me to do this all right.

Eyeliner Comparison

So Im going to start off in my waterline, I know not. Everybody does a waterline these days because that might be a little bit of a dated technique. But you know what Im a scen kid in my heart, although I never would have used brown back then so then Im going to do my tight line up here and then Im going to actually use this to do a wing, not a huge wing. Just a little one: okay, now Im going to take a little brush and some brown and kind of smoke that out okay theres the brown by the way, my child.

He found this in my PR stash yesterday and he painted the entire TV with it. So I dont even know if theres any mascara left in here. Oh I should have done. I should have curled my lashes first lets.

Brown Mascara

Do that all right, oh sniky, doodle. I just put my hand straight in that all right lets. Try Brown mascara like I said this is the Too Faced Better Than Sex Brown mascara and you know I love their regular, but this brown looks really nice its like its very deep chocolatey, its not too light, but it is definitely different than your typical black mascara. Its going with the other side good thing, I really dont have anywhere to go today: cuz Im going to look crazy nuts.

Brown Eyeliner

So this is the creamy coal pencil from Huda Beauty. This is the exact same one, but this is very V, very vanta extreme black. Oh yes, it is all right were going to take that exact same brush brush and were going to go in with black its a spy glass from that same palette and Im just going to kind of smoke it out a little bit to match what the brown Side looks like, but with black, and this was the way that I did my makeup.

Easier to Work With

I mean granted it wasnt this minuscule. I was doing some makeup Im going to clean it up. Dont worry guys not that any of you guys were worried youre on the edge of your seat. What she going to do. I can definitely say that brown is easier to work with its more forgiving. All right lets go in with this little brush here, its much more forgiving, let me just say and Im just trying to sort of soften it so its not as intense, and it seems as though, because I used black, like I put way more makeup on this Side, but really its not its like the exact same amount of makeup, you just cant, really tell because one is much more like I said forgiving forgiving all right now lets.

Exploring the Differences

Do the black mascara try to tone that down just a little, so it doesnt look as Wing is but really thats. Just the actual difference, oh got to curl. My lashes got to be fair.

Adjustments for Fair Comparison

I might have done a much thicker liner on the black side. Im going to thicken up the brown liner a little bit so its more even then, as far as like the final amount of brown and versus black on the eyes, I think I did too much black so its not a fair comparison, all right Im just going To clean that up a little bit and we will compare the Music two all right and this is Brown versus black you guys.

Final Thoughts and Observations

Let me know what you think I can probably assume. I know what you guys are thinking down in the comments. I think each obviously has their place in makeup, but there is something so much softer and I feel way more flattering about the brown the black has its place. I mean dont, get me wrong its a classic its a classic, but I feel like the brown. Just is giving its its not like. I dont want to use the word natural, because nothing about this makeup is natural, but it its like its less harsh, its less overwhelming its less obvious, its less. I dont know sunken theres something just soft about it and I honestly Ill do like a side by side right here. I dont know I feel like theres, just something so nice about it.

Black vs Brown Mascara:

I didn’t know if I would see that big of a difference between the black and brown mascara, but I feel like I do you guys. Let me know what you think, but Im pretty sure its pretty obvious. Its so subtle in the mascara, but I think it makes an absolute difference.

Eyeliner Comparison:

So, which side do you prefer? Are you going to change your routine at all? Are you going to go with brown liner and brown mascara, or are you going to stick with your classic black? I think either way you really can’t go wrong, but if you kind of want to change it up a little bit and just feel a little put together, but not like whoo who, where are you going okay, clubbing- maybe try out this because I just feel like its giving this but friendlier, you know?

Brown Mascara Over Lashes:

This is a different day and I just did brown everything, brown mascara and black lashes, so this is kind of a nice little combo of the two. I think and this is where I think I would land if I was not going to wear lashes I would go brown mascara over lashes. I really like it. So, here is the combo. Let me know what you guys think. I hope you guys enjoy this style of video.

The Power of Makeup Comparisons

I know that I had fun making it for you guys and I always love doing little side by side comparisons. Last year or the year before, I did a video comparing the Dee eye look versus the Fox Eye or cat eye. I was really surprised to see the difference it made in the entire shape and look of the face just by changing the style of eye look and liner.

Exploring Brown vs Black Mascara

One of the most noticeable differences in makeup is the choice between brown and black mascara. The impact of these two shades can vary drastically, altering the overall appearance of the eyes and face. Brown mascara tends to provide a softer, more natural look, while black mascara adds intensity and drama to the lashes.

Comparing Eyeliner in Brown and Black

When it comes to eyeliner, the choice between brown and black can also make a significant difference. Brown eyeliner is often preferred for a more subtle and understated look, ideal for daytime wear or a softer makeup style. Black eyeliner, on the other hand, creates a bold and striking effect, perfect for evening looks or when you want to make a statement.

Changing Makeup Trends Over Time

Makeup trends evolve over time, and personal preferences can shift as well. As the years pass, individuals may find themselves gravitating towards different makeup styles or techniques. What may have worked in the past may no longer feel like the best fit, prompting a desire for a makeup refresh and a new approach to beauty routines.

Black Mascara vs Brown Mascara

When it comes to mascara, the choice between black and brown can make a significant difference in the final look of your eye makeup. Black mascara tends to provide a more dramatic and defined look to the lashes, making them appear thicker and longer. On the other hand, brown mascara can give a softer, more natural look, perfect for a subtle enhancement of the eyes. The decision between the two ultimately depends on the desired intensity of your eye makeup look.

Black Eyeliner vs Brown Eyeliner

Similarly, the choice between black and brown eyeliner can have a major impact on the overall appearance of your eye makeup. Black eyeliner is known for creating a bold and intense look, perfect for a striking cat eye or a sultry smokey eye. On the contrary, brown eyeliner provides a softer and more subtle effect, ideal for a natural everyday makeup look. The decision between the two colors ultimately boils down to personal preference and the desired outcome of your eye makeup.

Combining Black and Brown

For those who enjoy experimenting with makeup, combining black and brown products can create a stunning and unique effect. Using black mascara for dramatic lashes and brown eyeliner for a softer eyelid definition can offer a balanced and harmonious look. This combination can be particularly flattering for those looking to add depth and dimension to their eye makeup, without going overboard with one single color.

In the realm of makeup, the choice between black and brown products is entirely subjective and based on personal preference. While black mascara and eyeliner can provide a bold and intense look, brown options offer a softer and more natural touch. Mixing and matching these colors can result in a customized makeup look that suits your individual style and aesthetic. Ultimately, the decision between black and brown makeup comes down to experimentation and finding what works best for you.
