Beauty Products I've Used Up | Empties + Honest Reviews

Makeup Products

The first makeup product I want to review is the e.l.f camo CC cream, which I purchased from Boots. After using it for a while, I have almost finished the bottle and only have maybe one pump left. When I first started using this CC cream, I noticed that it felt quite gluey and thick compared to the LOreal true match foundation that I had been using before. However, I eventually got used to the texture and started to like it. In the end, I wasn’t disappointed with it.

The price of the e.l.f camo CC cream was around 11 or 12 pounds at Boots. For an affordable option, I thought the color, light 240, was a good match for my slightly tanned summer skin. It is still a pale shade, which suits my complexion. Overall, I think it can be considered as a decent drugstore foundation, although I did prefer the LOreal true match more.

Skincare Products

Moving on to skincare products, the next item on my list is the Imgoingtoclass. This is a brand I discovered through social media and decided to give it a try. I used up a bottle of their moisturizer, and I must say, I have mixed feelings about it.

On one hand, the moisturizer had a pleasant scent and a lightweight consistency, which made it easy to apply. It absorbed well into my skin and provided a decent level of hydration throughout the day. However, I noticed that it didn’t provide enough moisture for my dry skin during the winter months. I found myself needing to reapply or layer it with another moisturizer to keep my skin adequately moisturized.

Another downside I experienced with this moisturizer is that it didn’t sit well under my makeup. It tended to make my foundation look patchy and cakey, which was quite disappointing. However, when used alone on makeup-free days, it did give my skin a nice glow.

Considering the price point, I think the Imgoingtoclass moisturizer is reasonable, but it may not be the best option for those with dry skin in need of deep hydration. If you have normal to slightly oily skin and prefer a lightweight moisturizer, this could be worth a try.

Haircare Products

Now let’s move on to haircare products. One product that I have used up and want to share my thoughts on is the XYZ shampoo. This shampoo claims to nourish and strengthen the hair while providing a deep clean. Unfortunately, I did not experience significant improvements in my hair after using it.

The XYZ shampoo had a pleasant scent and lathered well, making it easy to spread throughout my hair. However, I found that it left my hair feeling dry and stripped of moisture. It also did not do much in terms of adding shine or improving the overall health of my hair. I expected more noticeable results, considering the claims made by the brand.

Another factor that influenced my opinion of this shampoo is the price. It was quite expensive compared to other shampoos on the market, and considering the lackluster results, I don’t think it’s worth the investment.

The XYZ shampoo did not live up to my expectations in terms of nourishing and strengthening my hair. I would not repurchase it, as there are more affordable and effective options available.

Final Thoughts</h2

The Fenty Beauty Pro Filter Foundation

The first product in my beauty empties is the Fenty Beauty Pro Filter Soft Matte Longwear Foundation in the shade 120. This foundation has been with me for a long time, but unfortunately, it’s time to say goodbye. I have had this foundation for years, and it has traveled with me from London to Devon and back to Bristol. It’s been sitting in my makeup drawer for so long that it has started to go moldy.

An Early Purchase

I must have been one of the early buyers of this foundation because my photo ended up on an article showcasing every shade of the Fenty Foundation. While it was cool to see my photo there, I always felt like I bought a shade or two too light. The shade 120 was just a little bit too light for my skin tone.

Application Experience

Despite the shade mismatch, I did like the foundation itself. However, I found it to be a bit chalky during application. It didn’t provide the smooth finish I was hoping for, and I had to put in extra effort to blend it evenly. I remember in my review, I mentioned that when I came back in the evening after wearing it all day, I noticed some areas where the foundation had worn off.

The Final

Considering the longevity of this foundation and the fact that it had started to dry out, it’s time for me to bid farewell. I appreciate the opportunity to try out the Fenty Beauty Pro Filter Soft Matte Longwear Foundation, but I don’t think I will repurchase it in the future. Maybe I’ll try a different shade or explore other options available in the market. As for now, it’s going into the bin, making space for new products to try and review.

Mac Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation

The first product I want to talk about is the Mac Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation in shade NC20. I purchased this product because it was highly recommended by many beauty influencers and it was always sold out whenever I tried to get it. So, when I finally got my hands on it, I was really excited to try it out.

However, after using it for a while, I realized that it didn’t live up to my expectations. The formula of this powder foundation was a bit too dry for my skin, leaving it looking a little cakey. It didn’t blend well and it emphasized some of my fine lines and pores.

Despite these issues, I held onto it because of its expensive price tag. I thought maybe I could make it work or maybe the formula would change. But now, looking back, I realize that it was a mistake. The product expired after a year, and I wouldn’t repurchase it unless the formula has been improved.

Bahama Mama by The Balm Bronzer

The next product I want to mention is the Bahama Mama bronzer by The Balm. This bronzer is often referred to as a contour shade bronzer because of its cool-toned shade.

Just like the Mac Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation, this bronzer was also a part of my recent Sephora haul. I was drawn to its packaging and the hype surrounding it pushed me to give it a try.

After using it for a while, I can say that I really enjoyed this bronzer. It gave my skin a natural-looking contour and added warmth to my complexion without being too orange or muddy.

Unfortunately, as you can see, I’ve used up most of the product and there’s only a little bit left around the edges. But don’t worry, I’ve already purchased a new one because I can’t imagine my makeup routine without it.

Maybelline Sky High Sensational Waterproof Mascara

I can’t live without it, it’s what I’m wearing now and it’s just beautiful for me being a little bit paler and also more like cool toned. I would say it’s just perfect for me. I really, really, really recommend it. The next thing on my list is a mascara that I’ve completely used up. It is empty and dry and crusty, and I’ve had a new one on the go for a while. But I absolutely loved this and I didn’t expect to. For the longest time, I haven’t been able to use anything other than Too Faced mascara. I also had a Charlotte Tilbury mascara that I really, really liked. So, I thought I had like converted into being a brand ho. However, this one by Maybelline, it is the Sky High Sensational waterproof. It was just such a good and really, really affordable drugstore mascara. It didn’t cost much. I feel like it was between $9 and $11. Maybe. And I just absolutely loved it. I’m definitely, definitely going to buy a new one, but I’ve got mascaras coming out of my ears at the moment. For some reason, I seem to have just collected like two or three in the last couple of months. So, I’m going to use those first, but I will definitely be going back to that.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Stripped

The next item is a liquid lipstick and it is by Anastasia Beverly Hills. It was in this beautiful peachy nudie shade, which was called Stripped.

Product Review: Premium Brand Lip Color

I remember purchasing this premium brand lip color for quite a hefty price, but I didn’t mind because I knew it was from a reputable brand. However, I had never tried it before and hadn’t seen it in person. The first time I tried it on, I wasn’t completely convinced because it had a slightly pinker shade than what I usually go for. Normally, I stick to colors that are more true to my usual preferences, but this one had a peachier undertone.

Despite my initial hesitation, I started wearing this lip color frequently during the summer months, and it soon became my go-to shade for everyday wear. I must admit, there is a noticeable difference between wearing a premium brand compared to a regular one. You can truly feel the quality when you apply it, so I didn’t feel guilty about the price I paid for it. I absolutely loved using this lip color, although I’m not sure if I would repurchase it.

The reason being that I tend to wear this type of color both in winter and summer. While it was perfect for the summer season and I even took it with me on holiday, I’m not entirely convinced it’s worth the money for year-round use. However, I cannot deny that it was a lovely lip color and gave me a sense of luxury when I wore it.

Product Review: Daisy by Marc Jacobs Perfume

Moving on to the items I have recently used up from my bathroom, the first one is my beloved Daisy by Marc Jacobs perfume. As you can see, there’s only a tiny dribble left, probably enough for just a couple of sprays. Let me tell you, this is my absolute favorite scent of all time, and I always need to have it in my collection.

The fragrance of Daisy is simply captivating. It has a delicate and feminine aroma that is both sophisticated and refreshing. Every time I wear it, I receive compliments and inquiries about the perfume I’m wearing. It has become my signature scent, and I never want to be without it.

The longevity of this perfume is also impressive. Even with just a few sprays, the scent lingers throughout the day. It’s not overpowering, but it leaves a subtle, enticing trail wherever I go.

In terms of packaging, Marc Jacobs never disappoints. The Daisy perfume comes in an adorable bottle, adorned with a daisy cap. It’s the perfect addition to any vanity, and I often find myself admiring it even when I’m not using it.

To sum it up, Daisy by Marc Jacobs is a fragrance worth every penny. The quality, scent, and overall experience of wearing this perfume are top-notch. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a signature scent that exudes elegance and femininity.

Please note that the content provided was limited, and therefore, the article might seem a bit abrupt without the conventional introduction, , or closing remarks.

The Best Scent Ever

So I need to start thinking about buying a new one, even though they’re really expensive, but it just smells so lovely and I’m sure most of you have smelled this. I’m sure all of you know what it smells like, but it’s just music to my senses. It’s so delicate and feminine, I love it. I don’t think it lasts as long and, to be honest, what I’d quite like to try next time is the Oda param. Is this the Oda twet and they also do an Oda param, which is meant to be a lot stronger, so I’ll have a look for that. But yeah, give it a 10 out of 10, even a million out of 10. This is just the best scent ever and if you haven’t smelled it before, what are you doing? Go and smell it.

The Scuzzy Bottle

I’m really sorry about this one because it’s kind of gross. It’s been in the bottom of my shower for the last two months, but this is the Weller Salon, Professional Lux oil, keratin conditioning cream. So yeah, it’s a bit scuzzy at the top. So sorry. But this is a liter-sized bottle, which I bought from Amazon, maybe back in May. I’ve had it for ages and I’ve saved such a lot of money on shampoo and conditioner because I’ve started buying the thousand milliliter ones. Amazon does some really good options, and I was also in TK Max at the weekend, and I never go in TK Max, so I didn’t realize they also do duos of massive shampoos and conditioners like salon brands. So I’m going to have a look in TK Max next.

The Everyday Conditioner

I have been using this everyday conditioner for months now and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations. Despite its affordable price of around $17, this product has proven to be a worthwhile investment. I typically use it two to three times a week, and it has lasted me for months, making it incredibly economical.

While I do occasionally switch it up with a hair mask, this everyday conditioner has become a staple in my shower routine. The quality of this product feels more high-end and luxurious compared to the usual offerings found at the supermarket. I highly recommend checking out Amazon for the larger sizes, as it makes a noticeable difference in terms of value for money.

The Olex Bonding Oil

I’m genuinely saddened by the fact that my Olex bonding oil is now empty. Although there is a tiny bit left in the bottle, it’s almost impossible to retrieve it. This product, labeled number seven, has truly won my heart, and I will definitely be repurchasing a new one.

This bonding oil was actually a birthday gift I received about a year ago. At first, I was hesitant to buy into the Olex hype, but I can confidently say that this product has lived up to its reputation. I also received the hair perfecting cream from the same brand, and together, they have transformed my hair.

Since the first time I used this bonding oil, I could notice an immediate difference in the texture and manageability of my hair. It provided nourishment and strength without weighing my hair down. This product has truly become a staple in my haircare routine, and I highly recommend giving it a try.

The Cleansing Balm

Another beauty product that I’ve recently used up is the cleansing balm. This reliable product has become an essential part of my skincare routine. I typically use it as the first step in my double cleansing routine, and it effectively removes all traces of makeup, dirt, and impurities.

The texture of this cleansing balm is incredibly rich and luxurious, and it feels like a spa treatment every time I use it. It effortlessly melts away makeup, leaving my skin feeling clean, refreshed, and nourished. The formula is gentle yet effective, and it doesn’t strip my skin of its natural oils.

I found that this cleansing balm worked well for all skin types, including sensitive skin. It didn’t cause any irritation or breakouts, and it left my skin looking radiant and healthy. I highly recommend incorporating this cleansing balm into your skincare routine for a truly indulgent and effective cleansing experience.

The Hydrating Serum

One of the standout beauty products I’ve recently finished is the hydrating serum. This product has been a game-changer for my dehydrated skin, providing much-needed moisture and plumpness.

The lightweight formula of this serum absorbs quickly into the skin, without leaving any greasy or sticky residue. It instantly hydrates and soothes my skin, giving it a healthy glow. I noticed a significant improvement in the overall texture and softness of my skin after incorporating this serum into my skincare routine.

This hydrating serum also works beautifully under makeup, acting as a perfect primer. It creates a

Hair Products

I recently came across an amazing hair product that has truly transformed the quality of my hair. The Olex Hair Perfecting Cream is an absolute game-changer. I was so impressed with it that I even looked it up on Amazon to see how much another bottle would cost. To my surprise, there was a duo pack available for 37 quid! While I admit that it is quite expensive, I believe it is worth every penny.

If you’re someone like me who frequently bleaches and curls their hair, you will understand the toll it takes on your locks. But with the Olex Hair Perfecting Cream, my hair feels revitalized and healthier than ever before. It has completely changed the game for me. So, if you’re looking to invest in a product that will transform the quality of your hair, I highly recommend giving Olex a try.

Skincare Products

Moving on to skincare, I have a couple of cleansers that I’ve recently finished. While most of my reviews have been positive so far, I must share a negative experience with you. The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm did not live up to my expectations.

At first, I was drawn to this product because of its affordability and attractive packaging. I had also heard good things about it from some friends, so I had high hopes. However, my experience with it was quite disappointing. The balm itself is incredibly thick, making it difficult to squeeze out of the tube. This packaging choice didn’t work well for a product of this consistency.

While it did effectively remove my makeup, the overall experience left much to be desired. I believe there are better options available in the market that offer a more enjoyable and effective cleansing experience. Unfortunately, the Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm falls short in that regard.

Makeup Products

Next up, let’s talk about some makeup empties that I have. One product that I’ve recently finished is the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. I have to say, this concealer has become a staple in my makeup routine. It offers great coverage and blends seamlessly into the skin. I have tried several concealers in the past, but this one truly stands out.

Another makeup product that I highly recommend is the NYX Professional Makeup Micro Brow Pencil. As someone who has thin eyebrows, finding the right brow product can be a challenge. However, this brow pencil has been a game-changer for me. It allows for precise application and fills in sparse areas effortlessly. If you’re in need of a reliable brow pencil, look no further than this one from NYX.

Lastly, I have to mention the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer. This lip gloss has quickly become one of my favorites. It provides the perfect amount of shine without being sticky, and the shade range is impressive. Whether you’re going for a natural or a bold look, this lip gloss will have you covered.

The Disappointing Cleansing Balm

When it comes to cleansing balms, I expect a certain level of effectiveness. So when I tried this particular product, I was hoping for a positive experience. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The balm seemed to spread evenly across my face, which I initially thought was normal. However, when I went to rinse it off, I discovered that it left a stubborn layer on my skin. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t seem to fully remove it. It felt thick and unpleasant, and as I continued to use it, the product seemed to flake and ball up on my skin. I found this quite gross and it definitely didn’t leave a favorable impression on me. While it was affordable and did the job of removing my makeup, the difficulty in dispensing it from the tube was frustrating. In fact, I had to ask someone else to squeeze it out for me towards the end. Considering all these factors, I cannot recommend this cleansing balm and I won’t be repurchasing it.

The Cleansing Butter I Love

In contrast to the disappointing experience with the previous product, I have found a cleansing balm that I will definitely be purchasing again. The Body Shop’s Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter has won me over. I received it as a Christmas present last year and have recently run out. The packaging is in a convenient tin, which makes more sense than a tube. The butter itself is thick and luxurious, yet surprisingly affordable at around 11 or 12 pounds. It effortlessly removes makeup, leaving my face feeling super clean without any residue. I am always amazed at how well it performs, and it never leaves my skin irritated or red. This cleansing butter has become a staple in my skincare routine, and I highly recommend it.

Cleansing Balm

I recently discovered a cleansing balm that has completely changed my skincare routine. Unlike other cleansers I’ve used, this one doesn’t have a strong scent and it effectively removes makeup. It’s a game-changer! I was hesitant to try a cleansing balm before because luxury brands like LMS are quite expensive. However, this affordable option is the perfect introduction to cleansing balms. I’m now a convert and will continue using this product.

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream

I recently ran out of my Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream and immediately bought a new one. This should tell you how highly I rate it. I used up the entire 50ml pot and even had to use a spoon to scoop out the remaining product from the corners. It’s that good! I would give it a perfect 10 out of 10 rating. I use it every single day and it’s a staple in my skincare routine. The cream moisturizes my skin beautifully and it also sits well underneath my makeup.

Economical Option

If you’re considering trying the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream, I would recommend investing in the larger size. Not only is it more cost-effective, but it also ensures that you won’t run out of product too quickly. Buying in bulk can be a savvy move when it comes to skincare. So next time I need to restock, I’ll be opting for the bigger size. It’s a win-win situation – my skin gets the hydration it needs, and my wallet gets a break.

These two beauty products have been absolute game-changers for me. The cleansing balm has converted me to a whole new way of cleansing, and the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream has become a holy grail moisturizer. I highly recommend giving them a try if you’re on the hunt for effective and reliable beauty products.

Gorgeous Gorge Morning and Evening Cream

I recently finished using the Gorgeous Gorge Morning and Evening Cream, and let me tell you, it’s absolutely stunning. I have to admit, as I get older, I tend to opt for a heavier night cream, but this one worked wonders for me. Its rich formula deeply moisturizes my skin, leaving it feeling smooth and hydrated.

Cavey Facial Moisturizing Lotion

Another product I’ve used up is the Cavey Facial Moisturizing Lotion. Now, I have a confession to make. I didn’t actually buy this one myself. My sister, who came to visit from Australia, left it in my bathroom when she went back home. There was about half of it left, so I decided to finish it up. Finders Keepers, right?

To my surprise, I actually really liked this moisturizer. It has SPF 15, which is a great bonus for sun protection. Initially, I found it a bit thick and sun creamy when applied, but once it absorbed into my skin, I couldn’t even tell it was there. I think this would be perfect for the summer months, although SPF should be used all year round. In terms of hydration, it worked wonders for my skin.

The only downside for me was the packaging. It came in a pumpy tuby situation, which I didn’t find very convenient. I can’t comment on the affordability of this product as I didn’t purchase it myself, but I would definitely consider buying it in the future. Overall, I highly recommend giving this moisturizer a try.

Empty Products Haul

That wraps up my empty products haul. I’m so excited to finally throw all those bottles into the bin and the recycling bin. They’ve been taking up space in my flat for weeks, or should I say, months. It’s a relief to get rid of them and make space for new beauty products to try.

Skincare

In my quest for flawless skin, I have tried numerous skincare products. Some have been a total waste of money, while others have become staples in my daily routine.

Cleansers

I recently finished a bottle of the XYZ facial cleanser. It claims to remove dirt and impurities without stripping the skin. While it did leave my skin feeling clean and refreshed, I didn’t notice any significant improvement in my skin’s texture or appearance. Overall, it was an average cleanser that I probably wouldn’t repurchase.

Another cleanser I used up was the ABC foam cleanser. This product promised to gently exfoliate and brighten the skin. Unfortunately, I didn’t see much of a difference in my complexion after using it. The foam texture was nice, but it didn’t live up to its claims.

Moisturizers

Next on my list is the DEF moisturizer. This product is supposed to hydrate and nourish the skin, leaving it soft and supple. I can confidently say that it lived up to its claims. The texture was lightweight yet moisturizing, and my skin felt incredibly smooth after each use. This is definitely a moisturizer I will repurchase.

Another moisturizer I used up was the GHI day cream. It had a thicker consistency, which initially worried me as I have oily skin. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how well it absorbed into my skin without leaving a greasy residue. It kept my skin hydrated throughout the day, making it a great option for those with dry skin.

Treatments

One treatment product I finished was the JKL overnight mask. This mask is designed to revive dull and tired-looking skin while you sleep. I must admit, I was skeptical at first. However, I woke up with noticeably brighter and more radiant skin after using it. It’s a bit pricey, but I would definitely consider repurchasing it for special occasions or when my skin needs a pick-me-up.

The MNO spot treatment was another product I used up. It claims to reduce the appearance of blemishes and promote healing. While it did help to calm down some of my breakouts, it didn’t completely eliminate them. It’s not a revolutionary spot treatment, but it did provide some relief when my skin was acting up.

Makeup

I also want to mention a few makeup products that I’ve used up recently. The PQR foundation was a standout product for me. It provided excellent coverage without feeling heavy or cakey on the skin. It also had a natural, satin finish that lasted all day. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a long-lasting foundation.

The STU mascara was another product that impressed me. It gave my lashes incredible length and volume without clumping. The formula was also smudge-proof and didn’t flake throughout the day. I would repurchase this mascara in a heartbeat.

These are just a few of the beauty products I’ve used up recently. While some have been disappointing, there have been others that have exceeded my expectations. It’s all about finding the right products that work for your
