Beauty Empties / Products I used up and reviews!! 2024

Review: Innate Life Rosemary Scalp Treatment

This is my favorite hair oil for growth. Rosemary is super great for hair growth, and this one is just so high quality. The innate life has really good ingredients, and this one has just so many good organic oils in it, its not just Rosemary, but I really see a difference with this.

I dont use it as consistently now, as I did before, because my hair is super long now and Im not trying to get it to grow to my feet, but I have lately been focusing it more on kind of this front area where I do have a Lot of just baby hairs and honestly balding that Ive had for my whole life. This area of my hair has always been very sparse.

So for the past few weeks, Ive been applying it targeted to that area and Im going to see if I can see a difference there, because in the past I always just kind of applied it all over my scalp and didnt really focus on that area, but I should have been doing that the whole time honestly highly recommend that one, if you want a really good quality, rosemary oil.

Native Moisturizing Facial Lotion

I recently finished using the Native moisturizing facial lotion with coconut and vitamin B3. What I loved about this product is that it is fragrance-free, which made it perfect for a lightweight moisturizer in the mornings. Sometimes, I even used it at night to mix with other oils and creams. In my recent videos, I have been talking a lot about skincare and how I completely changed my routine. I had been dealing with skin issues and occasional breakouts, but in the past few weeks, there has been some improvement. It’s hard to pinpoint the exact reason, as it could be hormonal or related to certain times of the month, but I don’t want to jinx it. All I can say is that things have been better lately.

Simplifying My Skincare Routine

During this period of revamping my skincare routine, I decided to try out some new products as I felt that my old ones weren’t delivering the desired results. That’s when I came across the Native moisturizing facial lotion. While I still prefer the ultra repair cream from first aid Beauty for an everyday lightweight moisturizer that truly makes a difference, I can’t deny that the Native lotion was really good too. It never caused any breakouts, and it is more affordable compared to the first aid Beauty cream. Being a natural brand, Native is one that I highly recommend.

Lightweight and Versatile

The Native moisturizing facial lotion is perfect for those who prefer lightweight moisturizers. It is not thick or creamy, which makes it ideal for daytime use. The consistency is just right, not too heavy or greasy. It blends well with other products and can be easily mixed with oils or creams. For my night-time routine, I usually opt for something more rich and nourishing, but this lotion is fantastic for mornings. Plus, the packaging is aesthetically pleasing, which is always a bonus.

So, if you are in the market for a fragrance-free moisturizer that is lightweight and versatile, I highly recommend giving the Native moisturizing facial lotion a try. It is affordable, gentle on the skin, and provides decent hydration. While it may not be my top choice for everyday use, it is still a great option to have in your skincare collection.

The Satisfying Pump and the Miracle Makeup Remover

In my continuous pursuit of beauty products, I stumbled upon a gem that satisfied not only my cosmetic needs but also my desire for aesthetic satisfaction. It came in the form of a pump, reminiscent of a small shaving cream bottle. I must say, there was something oddly satisfying about using it. I found myself reaching for it more often than not, so much so that I would definitely repurchase it without a second thought.

The Garnier Myeller Water – My Holy Grail Makeup Remover

When it comes to removing makeup, my absolute favorite is the Garnier Myeller Water. It has become my holy grail makeup remover, and I can’t imagine my routine without it. Admittedly, I usually prefer using a cleansing balm, but when I’m in a hurry or only have a little makeup on, this is my go-to.

A Traveler’s Best Friend: Aeno Makeup Wipes and Makeup Eraser Cloth

For travel purposes, I’ve found two products that have become my best friends: Aeno Makeup wipes and Makeup Eraser Cloth. Both are incredibly convenient and efficient, especially when I’m on the go. They are perfect for those moments when I need a quick touch-up or just want to freshen up after a long journey. However, as much as I love these products, I can’t help but feel that using them alone doesn’t give the same satisfying feeling as a double cleanse routine.

The Power of Double Cleanse

If you truly want to experience a thorough makeup removal, a double cleanse routine is the way to go. Start with your trusty Garnier Myeller Water, followed by your preferred cleanser for a flawless finish. This combination ensures that every last trace of makeup is removed, leaving your skin feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. While I have to admit that the cleansing balm or oil does a stellar job of removing mascara, even surpassing the effectiveness of the Myeller Water, I must say that the Myeller Water is still one of my favorites, primarily because of the value for its price.

Babe Lash Serum: A Year-Long Love Affair

Lastly, I must confess my undying love for the Babe Lash Serum. I went through yet another tube of this miracle worker, this time in its mini travel size. Allow me to be 100% honest with you all I have raved about this product throughout last year, and my love for it remains unwavering.

Review: Lash Serum Comparison

Mid-December marked the moment when I realized the impact that a good lash serum can have on my lashes. Unfortunately, that was also the time when I ran out of my favorite lash serum. I had been running low on it for a while, so I had been using it sparingly during the last couple of months. Although I love the results it gives, I hesitated to repurchase it due to its hefty price tag. That’s when I came across the viral TikTok fave, the Viral TZ and Honor lash serum, which happens to be half the price of my beloved serum. I decided to try it out.

Initial Impressions and Comparison

Since Christmas, I have been using the Viral TZ and Honor lash serum, which my thoughtful mother-in-law put in my stocking. I admit that the results haven’t been as quick as with my previous serum. It has only been four weeks, so I understand that I need to give it more time. I recall that my lashes started showing noticeable improvements after around six weeks with my previous serum. Therefore, I will continue using this new one and observe if any significant changes occur. Keep an eye out for an update on my progress!

Ongoing Evaluation

Now, it has been over a month since I switched to the Viral TZ and Honor lash serum. I can’t say that my lashes are extremely short, but they definitely do not have the length I desire. However, I will continue using it and assess whether any substantial improvements happen. Rest assured, I will keep you all informed and share my experience if I witness a significant difference.

Stay tuned for further updates on my lash serum journey!

Lash Serum Review

I still think this lash serum is incredible despite its slightly high price point. I hope to find a more affordable option to recommend to you all.

Hair Care Products

After years of use, I have finally finished my bottle of Not Your Mother’s Curl Talk Mousse. Although it feels like there is still a tiny bit of product left, it doesn’t come out of the pump. This bottle is quite old, but I have many hair care products and only wash my hair once or twice a week. As a result, it took me a long time to finish this mousse. I primarily used it on wash days and not on refresh days, so it lasted even longer. Despite this, it has been one of my favorite stylers, and I would definitely repurchase it if you have wavy or curly hair.

Discontinued Brands

I am saddened to share that the Paa brand has been discontinued. I don’t know what exactly happened, but it’s a bummer because they were doing really well. I particularly loved their Everyday Shampoo and their Supernal Conditioner set, with the conditioner being my favorite. It’s unfortunate that such a good brand has disappeared.

Nars Soft Matte Concealer

I just finished up my Nars soft matte concealer in the shade custard. This is still a great shade for me, but it’s a little better for summer, so I did get a different shade for right now. I think it’s the cafe conche, not 100% sure, but it’s slightly less yellow toned than this one. Anyways, it’s my favorite concealer. Truly the best thing I’ve ever used, so I will continue to repurchase this. It took me a long time to get through this, because a little goes a long way and it lasts forever. So definitely the concealer I’ve had the longest.

E.L. Wow Brow

I also finished up the e.l. wow brow. I’ve talked about this a lot on my channel. It truly is my favorite tinted brow product and it has fibers in it, so it kind of makes your brows look thicker. I really love it for that reason. Even though I go through it really quickly, it’s so affordable. I opened a new one, but I’m currently going through a tube of the Lawless brow wax, which is also really nice.

Discontinued Conditioner

It just was such a beautiful moisturizing pudding-like creamy conditioner. It was honestly, maybe my favorite conditioner and they went and discontinued the brand. I would definitely repurchase that if it was still available, but it is not. So, moving on.

Makeup Products

I have a few makeup products here, so we can quickly go through these. Firstly, the Nars soft matte concealer in the shade custard. I love this shade, but I got a different shade for the current season. It’s my go-to concealer and I will continue to repurchase it. It lasts a long time and a little goes a long way.

E.L. Wow Brow and Lawless Brow Wax

Next, let’s talk about the e.l. wow brow and Lawless brow wax. The e.l. wow brow is my favorite tinted brow product. It not only fills in my brows but also thickens them due to the fibers in it. It’s so affordable, even though I go through it quickly. I’m currently trying out the Lawless brow wax, which is also really nice.

The Nars soft matte concealer and the e.l. wow brow are my go-to products. They both perform exceptionally well and I will continue to repurchase them. Unfortunately, my favorite conditioner was discontinued, but I’m always on the lookout for new products to try out. Stay tuned for more beauty empties and product reviews!

Favorite Mascara: Lanco Monster Big Mascara

This is like my third or fourth tube of this. I feel like it’s worth it because it’s so cheap and it’s so so so good. I always get it on sale, I’ve never paid full price. It’s long comb, but it is so so good if you love those thick, juicy, voluminous, just intense lashes. Im currently using the tower 28 mascara, and I love that one for more of those separated lengthened lashes and it does a nice job of volumizing, but it doesn’t make my lashes look as bushy. If that makes sense, as this one does, but I do really like it. I have it on my lashes right now and I think I would repurchase that one, but this is definitely my favorite volumizing mascara.

Favorite Body Lotion: Sleepy Body Lotion from Lush

I went through a body lotion. This is the sleepy body lotion from Lush. This is just the small tub of it. This is my favorite scent ever for, like a nighttime body lotion. It’s a lavender vanilla scent, and it smells so good if you like the scent of lavender, you will love this, but it has a kind of like a creamy vanilla base and it just, it’s amazing. I also love the formula of this, it’s just the creamiest, silkiest lotion, and I have two tubs of this in my bathroom right now, one that I’m almost done with and one that I just got recently in PR from Lush.

Native Deodorant: Classic, Coconut, and Vanilla

I recently finished two containers of Native deodorant, which is quite unusual for me as I usually have a collection of three or four in my beauty empties videos. However, this time it didn’t take as long for me to use them up. One of the scents I had was the Classic, coconut, and vanilla, and let me tell you, it is amazing! There’s something about this particular scent that just works slightly better than the others. It has a light, refreshing aroma of coconut and vanilla that I’m sure many of you are familiar with. Personally, I find it to be the best aluminum-free deodorant I’ve ever used. It has been about five years since I switched from aluminum deodorants, so I can’t even compare anymore, but I am definitely a loyal Native deodorant user now.

Candy Shop Line: Strawberry and Vanilla Taffy

Another Native deodorant I finished from their candy shop line is the strawberry and vanilla taffy scent. This one is absolutely divine! It smells like a creamy, strawberry popsicle or a delicious milkshake. The fragrance is so captivating that when I wear it, even my husband noticed. He told me I smelled like a sweet vanilla cupcake mixed with the irresistible scent of strawberries. The sweeter scents in this line are quite strong, so be prepared to have a pleasant whiff of it throughout the day. Out of all the scents I’ve tried from Native, this one is definitely a standout.

Limited Edition Favorite: Cherry Macaron

While the Classic, coconut, and vanilla and strawberry and vanilla taffy scents were amazing, my all-time favorite scent from Native deodorant was a limited edition one called Cherry Macaron. Oh my gosh, it was absolutely delicious! The scent of cherries combined with the sweet, delicate aroma of macarons was simply irresistible. I wish they made it a permanent addition to their collection because it was truly a delightful experience every time I used it. Unfortunately, since it was a limited edition, I will have to cherish the memories of its delectable scent.

Overall, I am incredibly impressed with the Native deodorant range. Their aluminum-free formulas have been my go-to for years, and they continue to amaze me with their delightful scents. If you’re in the market for a new deodorant, I highly recommend giving Native a try. They offer a wide variety of scents that cater to different preferences, and I’m confident you’ll find one that suits you perfectly.

Review: Brio Avocado Kiwi Mask

I recently finished up my Brio Avocado Kiwi Mask, and let me tell you, I absolutely loved it. I have talked about this mask extensively on my channel, and for good reason. The texture of the mask is thick and moisturizing, but it doesn’t feel heavy on the hair. It leaves my hair feeling silky smooth and soft, and the scent is simply divine – it smells like candy. I have tried other masks from Brio, but I haven’t had the chance to try their popular one yet. I’m a bit hesitant to spend the money on it without knowing if I’ll like it as much as this one. If you’ve tried both, I would love to hear your thoughts and which one you prefer. However, I can say with certainty that I would repurchase the Avocado Kiwi Mask. It has become a favorite of mine.

Review: First Aid Beauty Hydrating Toner

Another skincare product I used up is the Ultra Repair Wild O Hydrating Toner from First Aid Beauty. I am a huge fan of the Ultra Repair line, and this toner did not disappoint. The consistency is milky and hydrating, and it feels nourishing on the skin. It does exactly what I want a toner to do – hydrate and prep my skin for the next steps in my skincare routine. I would definitely repurchase this toner.

TJ Maxx Steal

By the way, I actually picked up the First Aid Beauty Hydrating Toner at TJ Maxx. They often have great deals on skincare products, so it’s worth checking out if you’re looking to save some money. I was delighted to find this gem at a discounted price.

Toner Review

I recently tried a smaller-sized toner that was on sale, and it turned out to be a great find. While I don’t typically splurge on toners, this one exceeded my expectations. It has a pleasant texture and leaves my skin feeling refreshed. However, considering its original price of around $20, I’m not sure if I would be willing to pay full price for it again. There are plenty of affordable toners out there that also do a decent job.

Favorite Bath Products

One of my holy grail bath products is the Dr. Teals Pure Epsom Salt in the scent Relax and Relief. I particularly love this product when I’m experiencing cramps as it instantly relaxes my body. The eucalyptus and spearmint fragrance is incredibly refreshing and invigorating. I’ve gone through numerous containers of this Epsom salt and will continue to repurchase it.

Another bath product that I adore is the Deep Steep Bubble Bath in the scent Fig and Apricot. The combination of fig and apricot creates a fruity yet sweet aroma that I can’t get enough of. I’ve previously used the hand soap in this scent and would love to have everything in my collection smell like this. It’s definitely a must-try if you enjoy indulgent and luxurious baths.

Cleansing Oil vs. Cleansing Balm

I had the opportunity to try both a cleansing oil and a cleansing balm, and they both have their merits. The DHC Deep Cleansing Oil was a budget-friendly option that effectively removed all of my makeup. I would highly recommend it and would consider repurchasing it in the future.

However, I find myself leaning more towards cleansing balms as my preferred makeup remover. Their solid texture makes them less messy, and they stay in place until rubbed onto the face, where they melt away all the dirt and makeup. Oils tend to run a bit more, making it harder to control the product and keep it contained in your hands.

These are the beauty empties and product reviews for 2024. I hope you found this article helpful and discovered some new products to try for yourself! Remember to pick the ones that suit your preferences and budget.

Milk Hydro ungrip Cleansing Balm

The cleansing bomb from milk, specifically the Hydro ungrip cleansing balm, is not my favorite. I received this product as a PR (public relations) sample. While it did remove my makeup, it caused a lot of discomfort in my eyes. I noticed that it burned more than other skincare products I have used, and it even made my eyes a bit blurry. Although I understand that cleansing balms or oils can have this effect to some extent, this one was particularly intense. Due to the discomfort and burning sensation, I would not repurchase this cleansing balm. It was simply too much for me, and I don’t consider myself to have overly sensitive eyes.

Not Your Mother’s Dry Shampoos

I have used up two different dry shampoos from Not Your Mother’s. One is a full-sized Beach Babe Texturizing Dry Shampoo, and the other is a mini Clean Freak Refreshing Dry Shampoo. Between the two, I definitely prefer the Clean Freak variant. Although the Beach Babe dry shampoo wasn’t bad, I found that it didn’t provide as much benefit compared to Clean Freak. The scent of the Beach Babe dry shampoo, however, is more appealing to me personally.

The Clean Freak Dry Shampoo

The Clean Freak dry shampoo is a product that I have mixed feelings about. The scent of this dry shampoo is a little bit more intense and overpowering. It might not be everyone’s cup of tea. However, I am really impressed with the formula of this product. It works wonders for my hair, leaving it feeling fresh and clean. Despite the strong scent, I would still recommend it to those who are looking for an affordable dry shampoo option.

Living Proof Dry Shampoo

If you want the best dry shampoo out there, I highly recommend the Living Proof dry shampoo. It is my go-to and I will continue to repurchase it. The formula is incredible and it does wonders for my hair. It keeps my hair looking and feeling fresh for days. Although it is on the pricier side, I believe it is worth every penny.

Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrub

For body care, I have two repurchases that I highly recommend. The first one is the Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrub. Ignore the packaging as my hard water has made it look a little crazy. The scent I purchased is Exotic Bloom, but it’s not my favorite. It resembles the Victoria’s Secret Love Spell body spray, which used to be a favorite but not anymore. If you enjoy that scent, I would suggest giving this one a try. Overall, I love the Tree Hut body scrub formula. It is my go-to for physical scrubs, leaving my body feeling smooth and refreshed. They offer a variety of scents, so there’s something for everyone.

OGX Smoothing Coconut Coffee Scrub and Wash

Lastly, I have to mention the OGX Smoothing Coconut Coffee Scrub and Wash. This product is simply amazing. It exfoliates and cleanses my skin, leaving it feeling smooth and refreshed. The scent is divine, with a beautiful blend of coconut and coffee. It is a product that I cannot get enough of and I highly recommend it.

These beauty empties offer a range of products – from dry shampoos to body scrubs and washes. Each product has its pros and cons, but they all have something to offer. Whether you’re looking for an affordable option or willing to splurge, there is a product out there for you. Remember that beauty products are personal, and what works for one person may not work for another. It’s all about finding what suits your preferences and needs.

Body Wash Review

The body wash I used up and would like to review is absolutely amazing. It has a creamy, coconut latte scent which is incredibly appealing. Regardless of the season, I find myself using this body wash all year round. It has a warmness that is perfect for winter, yet the coconut scent adds a summery touch, almost reminiscent of a summer iced coffee.

Texture and Exfoliation

However, I must mention that the exfoliating beads in this body wash are not very effective. They are quite mild and gentle, so I wouldn’t recommend using it in place of a body scrub. But despite that, the body wash has a rich, creamy lather that feels luxurious on the skin.

Affordability and Scent

One thing that stands out about this body wash is its affordability. It is reasonably priced, making it accessible for those on a budget. The scent is also a major selling point. If you enjoy fragrances like the one in this body wash, then you’ll love it. It’s a perfect combination of being pleasant and not overwhelming.

Final Recommendation

I highly recommend this body wash. Its delicious scent, creamy lather, and affordable price make it a great choice for anyone looking to enhance their bathing routine. Give it a try and experience the indulgence it offers. Thank you for reading.

These are just a few of the beauty products I have used up and wanted to share my thoughts on. Beauty empties can be a great way to discover new products and assess their effectiveness. Remember, what works for me may not work for you, so always do your own research and consider your specific needs before purchasing any beauty products. Stay tuned for more beauty reviews and recommendations in the future!

I highly recommend the Brio Avocado Kiwi Mask for its moisturizing and transforming qualities. It made my hair feel incredibly soft and smell wonderful. As for the First Aid Beauty Hydrating Toner, it provided the nourishment and hydration my skin needed, and I would definitely repurchase it. Keep an eye out for great deals at TJ Maxx, as you might stumble upon some fantastic skincare products at discounted prices. I hope this review has been helpful, and I look forward to trying more beauty products in the future!
