Were putting Lisa to the test yall

Are you going to try the new Lisa Eldridge mascara hell? Yes, I am, and I’m going to compare it. We’re just going to see, we’re going to do a wear test.

Setting the Stage

Okay, let me gather my thoughts. We are doing a wear test. We are going to see how it holds up to my Cleo Super Proof Kill Lash Long Curling Mascara. This is for those of you who watch my channel. This is my go-to mascara. It is a waterproof mascara with a super tiny, precise little wand. It does not budge and holds my lashes up. For anyone who doesn’t know, I have very fine, straight lashes that are stubborn and will only curl with the right curler.

Past Experiences

My trusty lash curler is my favorite, but basically any mascara formula that isn’t waterproof just falls. There are some tubing mascaras I’ve used in the past, for example, give Beauty and Tower 28, which were decent. The Hourglass Unlocked Mascara was one of the most recent ones that I really liked, but nothing can replace Cleo Kill Lash. I don’t expect the Lisa Eldridge mascara to replace it, but I thought it would be a good comparison since you guys are used to seeing me use it most often.

The Comparison

So, the Lisa Eldridge Kitten Mascara has a really great, precise little wand that coats each lash evenly. The formula seems to be more on the natural side, giving a soft, fluttery look to the lashes. It’s easy to build up without clumping and adds a nice length to the lashes.

However, in terms of longevity, it doesn’t quite match up to the Cleo mascara. After a few hours of wear, I noticed some slight smudging and flaking with the Lisa Eldridge mascara, especially on my lower lash line. It held up decently throughout the day, but not as well as the Cleo waterproof formula.

While the Lisa Eldridge Kitten Mascara is a great everyday option for a softer, more natural look, it may not be the best choice for those with oily eyelids or those looking for long-lasting, smudge-proof wear. It’s all about personal preference and what works best for your lashes, so give it a try and see how it fares for you!

Were putting Lisa to the test yall

What do you call this thing? What is this called spoolie its like thicker, you know like its thicker in size, but I dont know how well you can tell it has really nice Combs and that becomes super apparent when youre putting it on uh.

Lash Blast vs. Lisa

So its got all these tiny, spiked Combs and, unlike let me actually just compare it to the Lash blast, real quick. This is Covergirl lash blast which is really thick and also not curved. It looks like oh its hard to tell they might be the same in the center, but the Combs um seem like theyre long, theyre, longer kind of like all the way around on the Lisa one, whereas they look a little bit like thicker on the Covergirl lash Blast one like theyre, maybe a little bit tighter, packed or the Combs themselves, are a little bit thicker.

Initial Impressions

So I have actually already put this on when I first got it. I was like okay Im immediately testing this um and the Combs were some of my favorite part. Some of my favorite part, some of my favorite part Sure hold on. I just need to reup on my work. I just need to reup on my little green whale. Real quick, so it does have a nice curve, does have nice Combs, but it is thicker. Just so everybody knows uh. It is a tubing mascara.

Feather Light Formula

Let me look this up again, so it says: lifting defining mascara, oh pop up for uh lifting defining mascara for fluffy fan out lashes features feather light formula.

Testing Lisa’s Mascara

I would have to agree with that: delivering weightless, soft and bouncy lashes, smooth coating and stretching each lash. The formula allows you to build blah blah blah. Does it say anything about like so it contains organic olive tree derived wax caroba, wax and hoba to soften and nourish the Lash, which is very interesting.

Cleo Mascara Review

All right lets just lets just freaking. Do it Im going to zoom in even more so lets start off with my Cleo mascara, which again is a waterproof mascara Im going to curl my lashes with my rougher lash curler, so I always start at the base and then I pulse, and then I loosen My grip as I pull up the Lash and then the um Cleo kill lash mascara. It does have fibers in it, which is nice, so it adds some length and its also slightly curved. If you can see slightly curved, I love how precise the wand is.

Removal of Waterproof Mascara

The one downside to this is because it is waterproof it can take a little extra um work to remove. I dont personally find it to be that, like annoying, I just use a cleansing bomm and that usually works um. My favorite one is the one from nutum but sometimes um. I dont know that can be really discouraging for people to have to use like another step or maybe they theyre used to just using their. You know one cleanser or whatever, but do you see?

Instant Curling Effect

Do you see how that just likeo like it instantly holds my lashes in the curl instantly and thats, why its my go to mascara plus its waterproof? So you know its not going to like melt on you.

Testing Lisa’s Mascara

You know what I mean do my lower lashes. Now I personally don’t love it for my lower lashes but its okay, plus its super super black, so big impact right, Cleo, kill, lash, nice, nice and lift nice and lift what nice and lifting.

First Impressions

Okay it instantly holds the curl it never falls uh. It is waterproof. I love this mascara so much so now lets go on to Lisa, so I’m going to do the same thing. I want to make sure that Im really curling my lashes so pulsing at the base going up the Lash all right, Lisa lets see ooh.

Lightweight Formula

So the first thing I noticed with this mascara was that it was very lightweight. It coats your lashes like in a really nice thin layer of mascara, whereas there are a lot of mascaras that will instantly put down just a ton, like for example, the Buxom extrovert mascara.

Thin Layer Application

It just combs them out so nicely. They look like its definitely not a thickening mascara, you know, and the shape of the wand is really nice, but as I’m applying, I can kind of see that my lashes are starting to straighten out a little bit so I’m going to finish off with that coat and just leave it and move on to my lower lashes.

Final Result

So right now this is the difference. Okay, there, it is fresh freshly applied so that we can test how much it falls if at all so I’m going to apply this to my lower lashes.

Testing Lisa Eldridge Mascara

I really do love the comb and the shape, because it allows you to like get around your eye, shape really easily um and the comb I dont know what it is.

Magical Mascara Comb

I dont know how they do this, this magic with mascaras, where the comb of it like the Combs, are a certain length that they dont end up getting a bunch of mascara on your lower lash line when youre applying it. I dont know how they do that magic, but this is one of those mascaras that does it now.

Lightweight Coverage

You can see that this is pretty light weight. Um, in terms of like I was going to say, coverage its not a thickening mascara mascara at all, my lower lashes, like you, can see a hell of a lot more definition over here, its a lot thicker um – and this is not even my thickest.

Thickening Mascara Trick

This is not a thickening mascara, in my opinion, in fact, what I usually do when I apply this mascara is, I will apply one light coat and then Ill go in with a thickening mascara on top of it, so that I have something thats going to like Hold my lashes up up, but then I can like thicken with you know, make beauty or extrovert by Buxom.

Gentle Feather-Like Feel

This mascara is very, very, very, very gentle, very gentle uh. You can obviously see theres a huge difference between my super proof and um. The Lisa Eldridge its very lightweight, like it feels feathery.

Lisa’s Testing Process

When I touch it, I don’t want to touch it too much cuz. I want to make sure that I allow it to set. You can see the difference in the lower lashes, for instance like these are just a little bit more evenly coated, meaning that, it’s a little bit thicker towards the base and towards the end of the hair, and then this, it just looks. It coats the lashes so that they look darker and they’re defined, but they look much more feathery. It feels really weird cuz. It looks so different like I can just feel. I can feel these lashes when I look up hitting up here.

Observations After Initial Application

All right, guys, so here they are next to each other. Let’s just freeze this in time. I’m going to go and uh do some stuff that I need to do um I need to eat something I need to do the dishes. You know some random stuff, its 200 um. What I have an up my appointment for what oh never mind, uh yeah I’m going to go do that stuff, and then I will check back in just to see how this is held up because obviously it’s not holding the curl like my Cleo mascara is but uh, I want to see if it will at least maintain this lift.

Check-In After 3 Hours

It has been about 3 hours since I saw you last um. Here is the result of that. So you will have to tell me if it’s fallen because it’s very difficult for me to tell just by looking in the mirror. If I had to guess, I would say that it has fallen a little bit.

Putting Lisa to the Test

Obviously you can see Cleo is still looking super strong. The benefit of having waterproof mascara is evident. But now, we’re putting Lisa to the test. Lisa, with her delicate lashes, is hesitant to use waterproof mascara on a regular basis. She’s concerned about damage and the hassle of daily removal.

Non-Waterproof Options

For Lisa, a mascara that is gentle on the lashes is key. She doesn’t want to deal with the maintenance of waterproof mascara. She wants a natural, soft look that is easy to achieve. Brands like Tower 28 and Give Beauty offer spoolies that Lisa appreciates, but it’s all about finding the right wand for her.

The Natural Look

Lisa is looking for a mascara that creates a beautiful, natural look. She wants her lashes to be defined without the heavy, clumpy look that waterproof mascara can sometimes give. For an everyday, simple makeup routine, Lisa values a mascara that enhances her eyes without being too much.

Testing Lisa Eldridge’s Mascara

Videos like this in the in the past and people have preferred when um mascara is like a little bit more natural looking. I wore this the first time and I removed it, it comes off like basically with water, like it’s so gentle on your eyes, you really don’t have to rub hard or anything, which is really nice.

Removing the Mascara

I do have to work pretty hard with my cleansing balm to remove this. I just kind of take like a bunch of cleansing balm, focus it on my eyes, and go in really gentle circular motions. I’ll go back and forth on the lashes specifically, and you start to feel it break down. Once that’s rinsed off, I just use my regular cleanser.

Application Process

I work it into the mascara a little bit more, same process as my everyday routine. I double cleanse every day to take off sunscreen, so that’s Lisa Eldridge. I hope that this was helpful for anyone who was interested.

Performance of the Mascara

As far as holding the curl, it kind of performs the way that other tubing mascaras do for my lashes in particular. The Lisa Eldridge mascara is $36 and then Cleo Cleo is available on Cleo.

Product Availability

You can get it on sites like yes style and Amazon, but availability may vary. The product may go out of stock at times, so it’s important to keep an eye on different platforms to find it. The price also differs depending on where you purchase it, with Amazon offering it for around $12-$14 and other sites like yes style listing it for different prices.

Product Comparison

There are different variations of the product, such as the volume curling version with a different spoolie design. Despite the variations, the formula remains consistent, providing the same results in terms of volume and curl. It’s important to consider the design differences when choosing which version to purchase.
