The Product: Milk Cooling Water Jelly Tint

The Milk Cooling Water Jelly Tint is a product that has caught the attention of many makeup enthusiasts, including myself. This tint comes in a unique jelly formula that promises to provide a cooling sensation upon application.

Initial Impressions

I have had the opportunity to play with this tint a couple of times, and I must say that I do like it. The texture is refreshing and the colors are quite vibrant. However, there are some aspects of the product that need to be addressed.

Pros and Cons

On the positive side, the Milk Cooling Water Jelly Tint is a fun and exciting product for those who enjoy experimenting with makeup. The colors are pigmented and the cooling sensation adds a unique touch to the application process.

However, there are some drawbacks to be aware of. The tint may not last as long as desired, especially for those with oily skin. Additionally, some shades may not be as flattering on all skin tones.

Application Tips

When using the Milk Cooling Water Jelly Tint, it is important to start with a clean, moisturized base. The jelly formula can be a bit tricky to work with, so using a light hand and building up the color gradually is recommended.

The Packaging

Online. Were that far behind for some reason., Even though shouldnt we all be up to date now So I posted on my Instagram.. I was like you know what I was like: Ive ordered these., Of course, Ill do a review.. My order was then cancelled by Milk, but SpaceNK very kindly sent them to me because they obviously have Milk products., So this isnt an Ad in any way.. These were just gifted to be totally upfront, which means I can say what I want about them. As a makeup lover. If youre like me, you love makeup., I love packaging., I always say that.. These are a dream, come true just because they look weird. Thats it.. The packaging is really nice. The aesthetic, I guess, is really really cute., So thats really nice. But lets not talk about packaging.

The Texture and Formula

Well, we kind of have to at one point. Let’s talk about the actual product itself.. These kind of tints are a little bit different to most other tints in terms of texture and formula.. Let me read you how Milk describes them.. It says quotA long, lasting lip and cheek stain with a hydrating bouncy jelly texture that glides for a sheer buildable burst of color.. This blush and lip stain is 90 natural, clean …, quot Hate that word. Hate the word clean. quot …, vegan, cruelty, free paraben, free gluten, free and non comedogenic., And non acnegenic.quot That’s how they say it.. I didn’t see that clean in there.

Performance

So how do these Milk Cooling Water Jelly Tints actually perform? Are they worth the hype surrounding them? Well, I must say, the bouncy jelly texture does glide on smoothly and provides a sheer, buildable burst of color. The longevity of the stain is decent, but not outstanding. It does hydrate the lips and cheeks, which is a bonus. However, I did notice that the color payoff was not as intense as I had hoped for, especially with the darker shades.

Packaging and Durability

The packaging of the Milk Cooling Water Jelly Tint is quite impressive. The strong clip ensures that the product stays secure and the cap on the top helps to keep it moist. Despite looking firm, the product itself is jelly-like and the risk of drying out seems minimal. With proper clipping and care, the airtight case should prevent any drying out.

Texture and Application

The visuals of the product suggest a super jelly-like texture, which is true to some extent. While it may be firmer than expected, it still retains a jelly consistency. The application is smooth and easy, with a subtle difference between the shades. The variety of four different shades allows for options in choosing the right tint for your preference.

Longevity and Wear

As for the longevity of the Milk Cooling Water Jelly Tint, it has held up well for a week without drying out. The tint lasts for a reasonable amount of time and does not require frequent reapplication. The texture remains comfortable on the lips without feeling heavy or sticky.

Overall Impression

The Milk Cooling Water Jelly Tint is a promising product with a unique jelly-like texture. The packaging is sturdy and convenient, ensuring the longevity of the product. The different shades offer variation for different preferences. Overall, it is a good option for those looking for a long-lasting and comfortable lip tint.

Color Selection

Its quite nice.. You have chill, which definitely has more of a pink like a truer pink tone to it.. Sorry, I have to add in here the website says its red, but even on the model I dont see the deep red or a red tone. To me it looks pink. And then you have burst, which I guess is more a pinky purple. And then you have Splash, which to me is more like a true purple. I personally like spritz and burst, with more of an orangey coral and the pinky purple. Just because I like orangey tones on me and I dont mind a pinky purple. I think the selection of colors is quite nice. Im happy to see the lighter kind of like orangey coral.

Stain Quality

Its very rarely I like stains. I just think theyre all the same color.. I just think theyre all like this pinky ready, like those ph ones. The only ph one. I really like are these ones from Mua, because this is more of a deeper purple, whereas a lot of them come out like that same pink, which I think, maybe is why I dont like this one as much. The. Whats. It called again Chill. Because it is just that plain stain, ph kind of color to me. But I do think its a good shade range for blush and tint. I keep calling it blush because its on the cheeks. You know what I mean.

Application Method

Okay lets talk about application method right Because the application method thats shown a lot on the visuals for milk, is directly on skin and it looks like clean skin with no foundation on.

The Packaging

The Milk Cooling Water Jelly Tint comes in a sleek and simple packaging. The twist-up stick makes it convenient to use and easy to apply. The protective cap ensures that the product stays fresh and hygienic. While the brand recommends discarding the cap, I personally like to keep it for added protection.

Application Process

Upon twisting the stick, the tint glides smoothly onto the lips and cheeks. It dries fast, so it is important to work one cheek at a time and blend quickly with fingers, brush, or a sponge. Building up the product to your desired payoff is easy, and the close cap ensures that the product remains intact.

Removal and Maintenance

To fully remove the stain from the skin, an oil-based cleanser such as a cleansing balm is recommended. Storing the product at room temperature away from direct sunlight is crucial for maintenance. For a color refresh, storing the stick in the fridge is suggested.

Brush Tip

The brush tip provided can be used for a softer, more diffused application on the cheeks. For a more intense color, swipe on multiple layers. The versatility of the product allows for different looks depending on the application method used.

Texture and Application

The Milk Cooling Water Jelly Tint definitely has a unique texture to it. It’s jelly-like consistency makes it a bit tricky to work with at first. When applying it directly on the skin with a finger, the blendability is a bit difficult. It’s best to use the smallest amount at a time and blend it out carefully to achieve the desired color payoff.

Color Payoff and Pigmentation

The color payoff of this tint is impressive once you get the hang of the application technique. It provides a cool full color payoff, but it’s important to use a tiny amount at a time to avoid over-application. The pigmentation is strong and long-lasting, as the tint dries quickly and sets in place without budging.

Learning Curve

There is definitely a learning curve when it comes to using the Milk Cooling Water Jelly Tint. It may take some practice to perfect the application technique and achieve the desired results. It’s important to start with a minimal amount of product and gradually build the intensity to avoid any mistakes.

Staying Power

One of the standout features of this tint is its impressive staying power. Once applied, it dries down quickly and does not budge throughout the day. The word “stain” truly applies to this product, as it leaves a long-lasting color on the skin that does not fade or move.

Product Design and Application

The Milk Cooling Water Jelly Tint is designed to be applied close to the hairline and beard for a flush of color. It is important not to go in too strong right away, as the blend may not turn out as expected. The key is to work quickly and build up the product gradually for a more natural finish.

Texture and Finish

The product is marketed as a quick and cheeky option for adding color to the cheeks. However, it is important not to apply too much at once. The texture is watery but sits nicely on the skin without interfering with foundation. Despite the initial droplets on the top layer of the product, it blends smoothly and evenly.

Longevity and Wear

The Milk Cooling Water Jelly Tint lasts well throughout the day without chipping or breaking down. It maintains its finish and color intensity, even when applied with a brush. The gradual build-up method ensures a long-lasting and natural look.

Overall Thoughts

The Milk Cooling Water Jelly Tint is a great option for adding a flush of color to the cheeks. While it requires a bit of practice to perfect the application technique, the results are worth it. The product blends well, sits nicely on the skin, and lasts throughout the day. It is a versatile option for achieving a natural and long-lasting tint.

Milk Cooling Water Jelly Tint Review

Literally put it onto the brush. My one concern with this, though, and actually my one concern with the sponge method – is that this product does stain very, very quickly. Like it says, on their website. It does stain quick. And I was a little bit concerned that the product would actually just sit on the brush rather than my face. You know what I mean Like more product would go on the brush than it did on my face. It does stain the brush. Of course it does. It does wash out. I have washed the brushes that I used before.

Application and Texture

But actually looking at it now. I actually think I prefer the finger side where its been pushed into the skin. In terms of texture as well. I just think this looks a lot nicer, a lot smoother. This almost looks like it has interfered with my foundation. Perhaps its more than likely its the tapping from the brush, but also mixed in with that watery side of the product. Yeah. This is cute. I like this. This is nice. This is fine.

Longevity and Stain

Also. In terms of the lips. Well go for a different color here. I would recommend hydrating the lips quite a bit before, because it will definitely cling to dry areas like any tint would on the lip thats. This kind of texture, this kind of formula. But it definitely stains. This – is not going to come off until its removed with oil. It is a very, very strong, stain.

Texture and Taste

The Milk Cooling Water Jelly Tint has a very strong texture that is quite different from other lip stains. It doesn’t taste great, although you’re not supposed to eat it. The website clearly states that you should not consume it, despite its appealing appearance. Even when applied on the lips, the taste is not the most pleasant. It may look nice, but the taste leaves much to be desired.

Smell

In terms of fragrance, the Milk Cooling Water Jelly Tint doesn’t have an overwhelming scent. It has a slightly antibacterial smell, which might come across as strange. It lacks the fruity or sweet smells that are typically associated with lip products. The lack of fragrance may be a downside for those who prefer scented products.

Quantity and Pricing

The pricing of the Milk Cooling Water Jelly Tint may seem disappointing, especially considering the quantity provided. Milk offers some products with limited quantity, and this tint is no exception. However, due to the minimal amount needed for application and the quick staining effect, a single stick will likely last a long time. Despite the sticker shock initially, the value per application may make up for the high price.

Application and Longevity

Using the Milk Cooling Water Jelly Tint requires a small amount, as it stains the lips quickly. The claim of “1000 plus applications per stick” may seem exaggerated, considering the likelihood of the product expiring before reaching that number. The tint can be messy to apply, which may be a turn-off for some users. However, its longevity on the lips makes it worth the effort of application.

Texture and Application

The Milk Cooling Water Jelly Tint has a unique texture that is light and jelly-like. When applied to the skin, it glides on smoothly and feels cool and refreshing. The tint is easy to blend out, making it simple to achieve a natural flush of color on the cheeks.

Longevity and Staining

One of the standout features of this tint is its longevity. Once applied, the color sets and stays put for hours on end. However, it is important to note that this tint does stain the skin, so careful application is needed to avoid any unwanted marks or streaks.

Color Payoff and Pigmentation

The Milk Cooling Water Jelly Tint offers a decent color payoff, giving a subtle yet buildable flush of color to the cheeks. The pigmentation is not overpowering, making it suitable for everyday wear. However, it is important to note that the tint may appear more intense on dry or textured skin.

Initial Thoughts on Application

I have a bit of like sun damage on my cheeks here. I just don’t think it looks nice on me. That shade to my bare skin. Like it looks like I’ve had a reaction to something. Let’s try the deeper pink on the other side. See how it sets so quickly.

Working Quickly with the Product

This bit here has already set in that shape, so you really do need to bear in mind. I have skincare on too. You really do have to work super super quickly. I’m going to see if I can fix that. It just sets so so fast with a finger. If I had done that with a brush would have been a lot nicer. But the way it’s kind of like advertised to go on the skin, I just think it looks like a rash on me anyway.

Recommendations for Usage

So if you have quite a few blemishes or like me, I get like marks from shaving or I get like blemishes like this and you don’t want them to be extra extra obvious, I wouldn’t use this on bare skin. I’m not a fan of it on bare skin. In fact, I think it looks terrible on my bare skin. But I love it on top of foundation.

Final Thoughts and Removal Process

Not a fan of it like this at all to be honest. I actually hate it like this. I need to get it off. In terms of removal, this is an oil-based makeup remover.

Application Process

Before I did just use an oil cleanser, but it does come off quite easily. Youll see. You just kind of like hold and press a little bit if youre struggling. But other than that oil really does break it down, which you wont see now, because my cheeks are really red. But you can see it has come off quite easily. It hasnt come off my furniture, very easy.

Packaging

When I opened it, it did kind of splurt out a little bit and stained my furniture. Its a stain, I guess. Right. Okay, so who is this good for? Who is it not good for?

Recommendations

I would recommend it for… to be honest, anyone over foundation. On top of your foundation. If its a liquid foundation, I think it looks great. I think its a fun product if youre into makeup. Whats not fun about it? Everyone wants to bite into it. It looks great. As someone who loves makeup, this is fun for me. You know what I mean. If youre happy with your blush, if youre happy with a tint, perhaps you already have, I wouldnt rush out to buy it. Its not anything extra special. Its just exciting. Its just something new in terms of the way it looks.

Color Selection

Maybe this one. Yes. The other colors, not so much, but it wouldn’t be the first thing on my mind. It’s difficult because I sound like I don’t like it, but I do really like it. I think it’s a really, really nice product.

Texture and Application

For drier skins, if you have any kind of dry texture in the area you want to apply, the blush tint in general will cling to dry areas. It will show up patchy. So maybe consider what your skin is like on that day.

Longevity

For oilier skins, it’ll be quite nice. I think it will last a lot longer. Bear in mind, depending on where you’re oily, oil does break down makeup, but it should stain. It stains quite well.

Overall Impressions

My final thoughts on this are that it looks really exciting. It’s a really, really nice product in general. It looks good. It applies well in certain ways. Some people who consider themselves maybe not good at makeup might have a little bit of a learning curve with it, which is fine, which is absolutely fine. Some of you may not, which is also fine. However, I do think it’s important to share that I’m not going to apply it and think “Oh, no, that looks terrible,” take it off and then apply it and be like “Oh, my God, it looks great on first application.” I’m going to be real. My final thought is it’s a nice product. If you don’t need a new blush right now, if you don’t need a new stain or tint.

However, the color payoff may not be suitable for those who prefer highly pigmented products. If you enjoy a more subtle, natural look, then these tints may be worth trying out. While it may not be the best option for those with dry or textured skin, it is a great option for those looking for a lightweight and long-lasting tint. Gimmicky? You could say yes. I like gimmicky. Yeah, I quite like it because its gimmicky. I like the packaging. I like that it looks like jelly. I think its really, really cute. Do I see myself reaching for these when I want to blush a tiny little bit? No.

Overall, the Milk Cooling Water Jelly Tint is a must-have for anyone who loves a natural, long-lasting lip color.
