Review of D’you Good Grease Cleansing Balm

I tried the D’you Good Grease Cleansing Balm, which is one of Alia Bhatt’s favorite beauty products. This cleansing balm retails for rupees 2400 for 75 mL of product. I found the price point to be a bit high, but I understand that luxury beauty products often come with a hefty price tag. Personally, I didn’t find this cleansing balm to be exceptional. It did an adequate job of removing makeup and impurities, but I wasn’t blown away by the results.

Thoughts on Rhode Skincare Products

Rhode is another brand that Alia Bhatt swears by. Their skincare products are known for their high-quality ingredients and effective formulations. I tried a few products from Rhode, and I must say, I was impressed. The products felt luxurious on my skin, and I noticed a visible improvement in my complexion after using them for a few weeks. While Rhode products may be on the pricey side, I believe they are worth the investment for anyone looking to elevate their skincare routine.

Drunk Elephant: Worth the Hype?

Drunk Elephant is a brand that has gained a cult following in the beauty community. Their products are praised for their clean ingredients and innovative formulations. I decided to give some of their best-sellers a try and see if they lived up to the hype. After incorporating Drunk Elephant products into my skincare routine, I can confidently say that they are worth it. My skin felt smoother, more hydrated, and overall healthier. While the price point may deter some consumers, I believe the results speak for themselves.

Luxury beauty is the thing and lets just let it be and moving on to this product it has a good short promising list of ingredients. The texture is very smooth and it literally melts into your skin the moment it touches your skin, its going to melt. I also love the squeezy tube packaging, its convenient its mess free.

D’you

It feels bommy initially, when you put it on your face, then once you massage it on it turns into um an oily texture and the moment you add water, it emulsifies and it turns creamy thats. How cleansing balms work washing it off is very easy. It takes seconds to you, know, get off your face and skin feels squeaky clean after this also, the brand claims that you can ditch double cleansing with this product and honestly. That is what I felt too on no makeup days.

Drunk Elephant

My skin felt really clean after using this on makeup days, I had to use you know a bigger amount of the product and it worked on all sorts of makeup, but waterproof mascara it just could not move. I took so much of it and tried removing my waterproof mascara and my waterproof kajal. It could not remove that and by the way, Im talking about the LOreal lash paradise and also the plum gel kajal. I know they are products that are difficult to remove, but that is why we have this cleansing balm right, especially when Im spending so much money on a cleansing balm.

I tried Alia Bhatts recommended Rhode Skincare products, and I must admit, I was quite disappointed. The cleansing balm was difficult to remove waterproof makeup, causing me to rub my eyes excessively, which resulted in stinging and burning sensations. The brand claims that their products are gentle on the eyes, but my experience proved otherwise. Additionally, the strong fragrance in the cleansing balm caused a breakout on my sensitive skin, which only improved once I stopped using the product.

Thoughts on Dyou Beauty Products

Moving on to D’you beauty products, I found them to be rather underwhelming. The cleansing balm failed to effectively remove my waterproof makeup, leading to excessive rubbing and irritation, especially around the delicate eye area. Moreover, the overpowering fragrance triggered a breakout on my sensitive skin, which only subsided once I discontinued use. As someone with acne-prone and sensitive skin, I would caution others with similar skin types against using these products.

Experience with Drunk Elephant Skincare

Lastly, I ventures into using Drunk Elephant skincare products based on Alia Bhatt’s recommendations, and once again, I was left disappointed. The cleansing balm struggled to remove my waterproof makeup efficiently, prompting me to rub my skin vigorously, resulting in stinging and irritation. Despite the brand’s claims of being gentle on the eyes, my experience proved otherwise. Furthermore, the strong fragrance in the product caused a breakout on my sensitive skin, which only improved once I ceased usage. For those with sensitive, acne-prone skin, I would advise against incorporating these products into your skincare routine.

Drunk Elephant Beste No.9 Jelly Cleanser

Please skip this product and save your skin, and if you really want to buy an expensive cleansing balm then just buy the Clinique Take the Day Off Balm. At least that does not have fragrance. What am I going to do with this now? Should I clean my brushes with this?

Rhode One Step 35 Purity Made Simple Cleanser

The next product that I have with me is the Cetaphil gentle cleanser. This has been popular for a while for years now, and I know a lot of people love this a lot of people with sensitive skin love it and unfortunately, I do not love it and that’s only because of its texture, it’s very lotion like, and if you’ve been following me for a while, then you know that I do not not like lotion like textures in my cleansers, I like a little foam, and that is why what I like more than this one is the setap foaming gentle cleanser. This is the one and it was recommended to me by one of you in the comments.

Dyou Gentle Daily Cleanser

It is really nice, like it really cleans my skin, but also does not dry it off, and I definitely like this more than this one. The problem is, I feel like there is a layer of lotion on my face and no matter how many times I clean my face with this. It just does not feel clean. I feel like my pores are clogged and whatnot, maybe psychological, but I just do not like this one and it does not break me out or anything its fragrance-free, it’s safe, but this one is definitely like 10 times better than this one.

De Ceramide Moisturizer

We have another product from De – it is their Defense Barrier Building Skin Food, their ceramide moisturizer. Alia Bhatt has spoken about it in more than three to four videos. I’ve seen this in a lot of videos where she says that this is her favorite moisturizer and she cannot do without it.

When I got it initially last year, I really enjoyed using it and it did improve my skin texture. However, when I recently repurchased it in the month of December, I did not use it a lot and still have the box because I just don’t use it so much. In the colder months, it does not feel hydrating enough. It’s a great moisturizer for oily combination skin types throughout the year. But for dry skin types, I think we need something more hydrating and thicker for the colder months.

The texture of this moisturizer is gel-cream like, but it quickly absorbs into the skin, and I really like it. I see myself using it during summers. It has a mild fragrance, good ingredients, and it doesn’t break me out. So this one is a yes from me.

Isdin Photo Protector Fusion Water

The sunscreen that Alia Bhatt reaches out to the most is the Isdin Photo Protector Fusion Water. This sunscreen is lightweight and does not leave a greasy residue on the skin. It is perfect for everyday wear and does not clog pores.

I personally tried this sunscreen, and I must say I am impressed. It is easy to apply, feels weightless on the skin, and provides excellent sun protection. The matte finish it leaves is a bonus for those with oily skin. I can see why Alia loves this sunscreen.

Alia Bhatt’s favorite eye palette is the Rhode Schoolers palette. The shades in this palette are versatile and perfect for creating both natural and glam looks. The pigmentation and blendability of the eyeshadows are impressive.

I tried out this palette, and I have to agree with Alia it’s a winner. The shades are easy to work with, and the color payoff is fantastic. Whether you’re a beginner or a makeup enthusiast, this palette is a great addition to your collection.

Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Antioxidant Face Oil

Alia Bhatt swears by the Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Antioxidant Face Oil for keeping her skin hydrated and radiant. This oil is packed with antioxidants and nourishing ingredients that help improve the overall health of the skin.

I decided to give this face oil a try, and I must say, it lives up to the hype. It absorbs quickly into the skin, leaving it feeling soft and supple. I noticed a difference in my skin’s texture and brightness after using this oil regularly. It’s definitely a product worth investing in.

Rhode Fluid Sunscreen

Now this is also quite pricey, it’s for 2000 Rupees and you get 50 mL of product. I have already spoken about it in this video. You can check it out. It is a fluid sunscreen that is lightweight. Neither matte nor dewy, fragrance-free, does not sting the eyes, and has SPF 50. Overall, it is just the perfect sunscreen, but it is expensive. So if you have the budget, you can definitely get this. If you don’t, then you know that there are multiple options out there. It is one of my favorites, my favorite would be the beauty of just saw sunscreen. I like that more than this one.

Dyou Rosy Drops by Drunk Elephant

The next product that I have with me is the one that I was the most excited about, and it is by Drunk Elephant. It is their Dyou Rosy Drops. First of all, this is my first Drunk Elephant product ever, and that is why I was so excited about it. I asked my best friend to get it from the US for me and she did. The packaging is cute, it feels good quality and, of course, you’re paying so much for it. I think it’s for more than 40. Basically, a skincare makeup hybrid. I saw Alia using it in this video again, the same one, and her skin looks so glowy and nice. That is why I really wanted to get this. It’s supposed to give you a pretty flush of color, a nice glow with skincare benefits.

Rhode Blush Review

The Rhode blush has a peachy, pink color and claims to be formulated with Omega oils like virgin marula fatty acids, vitamin F, and peptides. However, I found that the skincare benefits are questionable in a blush product. While the vegan pigments provide a beautiful color, I don’t see the point of incorporating skincare ingredients in a blush that is only applied to specific areas of the face.

D’you Blush Application

After trying the D’you blush, I found that the color was barely visible once blended and faded within a short period of time. This raised the question of how to effectively use this product. Instead, I found that mixing a liquid peachy blush with a small amount of highlighter and regular ceramide moisturizer provided the desired result that I was hoping for.

Drunk Elephant Skincare

On the other hand, Drunk Elephant products have gained popularity for their effective skincare range. While the skincare benefits of a blush may not be necessary, investing in high-quality skincare products like those from Drunk Elephant can provide long-lasting benefits for overall skin health.

Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush

I used my Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush in the shade “Hope” and mixed it with the Swiss Beauty highlighter. Then I put a little bit of the Dot and Key moisturizer, and it looks exactly the same. Do you see how disappointed I was when this happened? Don’t buy this, just get a basic peachy blush.

Rhode Peptide Lip Treatment in Salted Caramel

This is my favorite one. It is the Rhode Peptide Lip Treatment in the variant Salted Caramel. This was the best decision. I asked my best friend to get it for me from the US, and that was the best decision ever. I love it so much, I’m sure I’m going to get more as soon as I get the chance. It’s thick, super hydrating, glossy, and just my go-to lip product. The main ingredients are peptides and shea butter. It smells divine. If you can get it, then please do so.

Indie Wild Dewey Lip Treatment

If you cannot get the Rhode Lip Treatment, don’t worry, because we have our very own Indie Wild Dewey Lip Treatment. Trust me, if you’re buying this for the texture and not for the fragrance, then the Dewey Lip Treatment by Indie will be slightly better than the Rhode one. The Rhode Lip Treatment has a grainy texture that doesn’t look nice, especially when applied on top of lipstick. That’s why I prefer the Indie Wild Dewey Lip Treatment.

Indie Dey Lip Treatment Review

So much more than this in terms of texture, that’s smooth and exactly, you know, they’re both equally glossy and equally hydrating. The ingredients are pretty similar. If you can get your hands on the Indie Dey lip treatment, then please get that because that’s also super good and also half the price.

CA, RX Pimple Patches

Alia Bhatt mentioned these in a popular skincare video, and I have tried pimple patches before from different brands, but these did not do anything for me. I really like the ones by the face shop and even the NAA ones are fine. They do something. These did not do anything for me, and I personally love CA, RX. Their products have been so nice to my skin, but these pimple patches just did not do anything. I don’t know – and I have used quite a bit of them like I’ve used like five to six of them and they don’t do anything for my pimples. Honestly, the removing them part is very, very difficult. It hurts – you can just skip these now.

Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick

Finally, coming to the last product, it is the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk lipstick and oh my God. This was everywhere when Alia Bhatt got married, and she also mentioned it in one of her videos that she wore it on her wedding day and she absolutely loves this lipstick. I gave it a try, and this is exactly the color of my lips.

It is totally my my lips but better shade, and I love it, it’s definitely something that I take out and put on my lips and go out. I don’t think it lasts too long, you eat food and it’s gone, and it’s just a matte lipstick that’s creamy. I think we have better formulations which are actually less expensive than this one.

Dyou Cosmetics

I really like the Huda Beauty bullet lipsticks, the matte ones, and they’re so soft and nice on the lips. I think you can definitely find your MLBB shade in that, and I mean there are so many affordable options as well. So this is nothing so out of the world, but I like it because it is my perfect shade. I also know that it will not be a lot of peoples’ MLBB shade, especially in India.

If you want to splurge and buy an expensive lipstick that is your everyday nude, then this will definitely feel luxurious and nice, especially if you have a light skin tone. But apart from that, I don’t think there’s anything great about it. It’s okay, it’s a fine lipstick.
