ColourPop’s New Eyeshadow Palette: Cloud: Nine
We have a new eye shadow palette from ColourPop called Cloud: Nine Eyeshadow Palette. This palette features silvery blue tones, including both matte and metallic shades. The combination of cool tones and shimmery finishes is exciting for makeup enthusiasts.
Enhancing Eye Makeup with Dominique Cosmetics and ColourPop
To make the most of these beautiful eyeshadows, I’m using Dominique Cosmetics eyeshadow base. This will ensure that the colors pop and last throughout the day. Additionally, ColourPop sent over some brushes and their creme gel liners in shades Exit and Swerve, which we will be using today.
Creating a Transition with Perfect Day
Using one of the flat packing eyeshadow brushes, I start by applying the Perfect Day shade, a matte tone, into the crease. This creates a transition shade that will help blend the other colors seamlessly. The E16 brush is perfect for this task.
Adding Depth with Outer V
To enhance the depth of the eye look, I take a little bit of the shade in the outer V and work it into the crease. This technique adds dimension and intensifies the overall makeup. The matte shades in this palette are particularly impressive.
The Beauty of Totally Cirrus
One of the standout shades in this palette is Totally Cirrus, a beautiful metallic shade. I apply this all over the lid using a brush, and it instantly adds a gorgeous sheen to the eyes. The pigmentation and shimmer in this shade are stunning.
Experimenting with Pearlescent Glitter
ColourPop describes some shades in this palette as pearlescent glitter. While it’s not explicitly stated which shade falls into this category, I assume it is one of the gorgeous shimmer options. These metallic shades, combined with the matte shimmer, offer endless possibilities for creative and unique eye looks.
Final Touches with ColourPop’s Creme Gel Liners
To complete the eye makeup, I use ColourPop’s creme gel liners in shades Exit and Swerve. These liners are smooth and easy to apply, adding definition and intensity to the lash line. The overall effect is sultry and captivating.
Using a brush, I gently apply my eyeshadow primer, focusing on the outer portion of my eyelids. The effect is really pretty and soft, almost like a soft metallic shade. I notice that using my fingertip to apply the eyeshadow gives a similar effect.
Enhancing Metallic Shades
To make the metallic shades in the eyeshadow palette really pop, especially the lighter shades, I suggest using a white or lighter base. This will make the metallic shades stand out even more and give a stunning result.
Completing the Eye Look
After finishing the rest of the base makeup, I move on to applying eyeliner. Today, I decide to go for a little winged eyeliner look. For the waterline, I opt for a white liner and for the upper lash line, I choose a nice black shade. I lightly line my lash line with the black liner and then use an angled brush to soften it slightly.
The Perfect Mascara
To complete the eye look, I grab my favorite mascara, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lash Sculpt Mascara. It adds volume and length to my lashes, giving them a beautiful, defined look.
As I look at my eyeshadow look, I feel like something is missing. I want a little more sparkle and glamour. So, I reach for a pearlescent glitter shade and apply it to my eyelids. The shade swatches beautifully and has a creamy texture. I press it onto my eyelids using my finger and instantly, it adds that extra touch of glitter and shine.
Remember, always be creative with your makeup looks and don’t be afraid to experiment with different techniques and products. Makeup is all about expressing yourself and having fun with different styles and looks. So go ahead and try out new makeup products and techniques, and see what works best for you. Happy experimenting!
Face Base: Date Night Skin Tint Serum Foundation
I’ve been playing around with the Date Night Skin Tint Serum Foundation, which was sent to me in a PR package. If you want instant coverage, this is the perfect foundation for you. Not only does it provide great coverage, but it also gives your skin a glass-like finish. The best part is that you can even sleep in this makeup because it’s that good.
Contouring: Milk Makeup Contour Stick
I’ve been using the Milk Makeup Contour Stick, which is not a PR product but is absolutely incredible. I use the shade Toasted for contouring. For my forehead, I wanted a warmer shade, so I opted for the Freck Beauty Face Hack Precision Sculpting Bronzer Stick in shade Fair. Both of these products were launched this year and have been a game-changer for my contouring routine.
Concealer: Natasha Denona Hy Glam
I can’t rave enough about the Natasha Denona Hy Glam concealer. Although it’s not a PR product, it is definitely worth mentioning. This concealer provides beautiful coverage and enhances the overall look of my makeup. It’s a must-have in my collection.
Setting Powder: MOB Beauty Weightless Formula
To set my face, especially in my T-zone area, I’ve been using the new setting powder from MOB Beauty. Credo Beauty sent this product over in a PR package. This talc-free and weightless formula not only blurs the skin but also provides a soft focus finish. It’s the perfect finishing touch to my makeup routine.
MOB Beauty Makeup: A Plastic-Free Packaging that’s Messy
I haven’t played with too much of MOB Beauty Makeup, but their recent release has caught my attention. They have introduced a plastic-free packaging, which is a great initiative for the environment. However, I must confess that I am unsure about this new packaging. It seems quite messy to me.
When I tried to get some of the product out, it ended up spilling all over the cap. It was a bit frustrating. After wasting some of the product, I decided to put it back in the jar. Then, I worked it into my puff and the back of my hand to ensure an even coating. Finally, I applied it to my T-zone area forehead, nose, and chin.
So far, the product looks good on my skin. It has a nice blurring effect, as they claim, giving a soft focus finish. Although it is not extremely mattifying, it does provide a decent level of coverage. I just wish that the packaging was more user-friendly to avoid wasting product.
ColourPop Gel Eyeliner in Shade Exit
Next, I want to talk about the ColourPop Gel Eyeliner in Shade Exit. Although this is not a new product, it goes well with their recent launch of the Cloud Nine Eyeshadow Palette. I decided to use the eyeshadow shade “Make Do” with an E21 brush and apply it along my lash line. To complete the look, I added a touch of mascara to my lower lashes.
Blush with Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in Shade Powder Pink
For blush, I opted for Bobbi Brown’s Pot Rouge in Shade Powder Pink. While this product was not sent as PR, I find it to be a reliable choice. The shade complements my skin tone nicely and adds a subtle flush of color to my cheeks. I appreciate the natural-looking finish it provides.
New Lip Liner from Jones Road Beauty
I am particularly excited about the brand new lip liner from Jones Road Beauty, which was recently sent to me in a PR package. The anticipation of trying out these lip liners had my curiosity piqued. I couldn’t wait to see how they performed in comparison to other brands.
Overall, it is always interesting to explore new makeup products and see what the beauty industry has to offer. While there were some packaging and application concerns with the MOB Beauty Makeup, I enjoyed experimenting with the ColourPop eyeliners and Bobbi Brown blush. Plus, the anticipation of trying out the new lip liners from Jones Road Beauty definitely adds a touch of excitement to my beauty routine.
Introducing the New Lip Liners
If you’re in need of a lip product that will enhance your natural lip color, look no further than the new lip liners from Milabu. These lip liners are not just your ordinary lip color, they are better. With an ultra creamy formula and a comfortable wear, you won’t be disappointed.
Wearing the Lip Liners
One of the ways I like to wear these lip liners is on their own, paired with a clear lip oil or a lip balm. The pigmentation of these lip liners is great, providing a beautiful payoff. Let me quickly swatch the shades they sent me.
The first shade is Nude Rose, a beautiful color that is sure to enhance your look. Next, we have Nudist, a shade that is perfect for those looking for a nude lip color. Mauve or Mauve is another shade that stands out, and personally, I really like this one. Lastly, we have Nude Pink, a shade that will give your lips a natural, yet enhanced appearance.
These shades are like your lip color, but better. It’s difficult to choose which one to wear today, but I think I’ll go with Mauve. To add a little extra, I’ll be using the Lawless lipstick in shade Daisy Girl.
Exploring the New ColourPop Cloud Nine Eyeshadow Palette
Among all the new makeup launches, one that really caught my attention is the new ColourPop Cloud Nine Eyeshadow Palette. It features a beautiful blue, silvery cool-toned selection of eyeshadows that are perfect for creating a variety of looks.
Mixture of Finishes
What I particularly like about this palette is the mixture of finishes. From matte to metallic, there’s a range of options to play with. While there is some fallout, which is expected with metallic shades, the matte shades are easy to work with. They blend effortlessly, offer buildable coverage, and provide great pigment. However, there were a couple of shades that required some warming up of the formula by breaking the top layer.
If you’re in search of a versatile eyeshadow palette with cool-toned shades, the ColourPop Cloud Nine Eyeshadow Palette is definitely worth a try. Despite the fallout, the ease of use and the quality of the shadows make it a great addition to your makeup collection.
Introducing New Makeup Products
Are you a makeup enthusiast always on the lookout for new and exciting products? Well, you’re in luck because Milabu has got you covered! In this article, we will delve into some of the latest makeup launches that are sure to pique your interest and add a touch of glam to your beauty routine.
Pearlescent Glitter Eyeshadow
One of the standout products is the pearlescent glitter eyeshadow. With its stunning shine and shimmer, it instantly adds a touch of glamour to any eye look. What’s even more exciting is that Milabu mentions not having many shades like this in her collection, making this launch even more tempting for makeup enthusiasts who love experimenting with different colors.
If you’re a fan of skin tints and foundations that offer skincare benefits, then the Youthforia foundation is a definite must-try. Packed with skincare ingredients, this foundation not only evens out your complexion but also nourishes and enhances the overall health of your skin. It’s the perfect combination of makeup and skincare in one product.
The Perfect Lip Liner
Lips can make or break a makeup look, and that’s where Jones Road Beauty comes in. Their lip liner is Milabu’s favorite new launch for lips. With its creamy texture and precise application, this lip liner helps define and shape the lips, giving you the perfect pout. Whether you’re going for a natural or bold look, this product is a must-have in your makeup collection.
An Intriguing Setting Powder
For those looking for a setting powder that not only blurs imperfections but also provides a soft finish, the MOB Beauty blurring setting powder is worth considering. Milabu is particularly excited about this product as it instantly blurs the skin without leaving it overly matte or dry. Its unique formula adds a subtle glow to the skin, keeping your complexion looking fresh and flawless.
The MOB Beauty Blurring Setting Powder’s Wear Test
Milabu decides to put the MOB Beauty blurring setting powder to the test after several hours of wear. She focuses on the T-zone area to see how the powder is holding up. To her delight, she finds that her skin looks incredibly smooth and fresh. There’s no dryness or an overly matte appearance. The blurring setting powder seems to have passed the wear test with flying colors, impressing Milabu with its ability to maintain a natural glow without breaking apart her foundation.
The Importance of Touch-ups
After about five hours of wear, Milabu notices some shine and enlarged pores on her face. However, instead of being disheartened, she decides to reapply the MOB Beauty blurring setting powder to combat these issues. This signifies the importance of touch-ups throughout the day to maintain a flawless complexion. By simply reapplying the powder, Milabu manages to regain her desired look, proving that makeup is all about experimentation and adaptation.
Reapplying the MOB Beauty Blurring Loose Setting Powder
This will be the first time I reapply the MOB Beauty Blurring Loose Setting Powder. I am only using a little bit to freshen up my makeup. There you go, just to freshen up a little bit. I will keep you guys updated on how it wears throughout the day.
Wear Test Update: Nine Hours In
I have worn the MOB Beauty Blurring Loose Setting Powder for a total of nine hours. Overall, I think I like it, but it’s not the most long-wearing setting powder. It does not control oil very well either. I do like the way it looks on my skin around the pores, though.
Two to Three Hours In
I think I like the MOB Beauty Blurring Loose Setting Powder the most when it’s been two to three hours since the initial application. However, I noticed something strange with the second application on my chin. It seemed to separate my makeup and make it feel heavy and tight. It’s not the most comfortable feeling.
Reapplication and Final Thoughts
I only reapplied the MOB Beauty Blurring Loose Setting Powder once after the initial application. I think I will apply it one more time because I want a little extra glow on my skin. Overall, I still like the way it looks, except for a little dryness in this area. I have to say it again – I’m not a fan of the packaging. When you close it, even with a light press, the powder puff comes up and makes a mess. It’s quite inconvenient.
And with that, I will end the video here. Thank you for watching and stay tuned for more makeup reviews and tutorials from Milabu.
