With its availability on Sephora India and Shopper’s Stop, makeup lovers in India can now get their hands on this coveted brand. I recently received a package from NARS containing some amazing products, and I couldn’t be more thankful for this opportunity.

Excitement to Try the Hyped NARS Makeup

Among the products I received, I was particularly excited to try NARS’ light reflecting foundation and radiant creamy concealer. These products have been hyped up in the beauty community, and I have always wanted to see if they live up to the expectations. Finally having them in my possession, I eagerly anticipated testing them out and sharing my experience with you all in today’s video. However, I won’t be talking too much in this video as it is going to be quite a long one. Let’s dive into the products and do a wear test together.

Prepping the Skin

Before applying the NARS products, I prepped my skin using the Clinique 100 Hour Moisture Surge moisturizer. To ensure a flawless base, I also used the e.l.f. Power Grip primer, which has been my go-to lately. This primer has impressed me by keeping my makeup intact for a whopping 6 hours yesterday. I applied it all over my face, focusing on areas like the forehead where I tend to get oily.

The Foundation Experience

Now, let’s discuss the highly anticipated foundation. Claiming to offer medium, buildable coverage, a natural finish, and breathable, all-day wear, this foundation has a vegan formula that is suitable for most skin types, including sensitive skin. Moreover, it assures us that it won’t clog pores. These claims had me intrigued, and I couldn’t wait to see if the foundation lives up to its promises.

I recently got my hands on the highly anticipated NARS makeup products and decided to give them a try. One of the products that caught my attention was the NARS Foundation, which claims to be a blend of makeup and skincare. Intriguing, right?

The Perfect Shade

After browsing through the available shades, I finally found the perfect match for my skin tone M4 Barcelona. I was impressed to see that the foundation is available in 18 shades, catering to a wide range of skin tones. The bottle also advises shaking the foundation well before use, hinting at its unique formula.

A Serum-like Consistency

Upon dispensing the foundation onto the back of my hand, I noticed its consistency resembled that of a serum foundation. Its texture was lightweight and liquidy, making it seem perfect for a dewy finish. Excitement surged through me as I prepared to put it to the test.

Brush vs. Sponge

To assess the application of the NARS Foundation, I decided to try it using two different tools a brush and a makeup sponge. Taking one pump of the foundation, I applied it on one side of my face using a brush, while on the other side, I used a makeup sponge.

A Dewy Finish and Sheer Coverage

As I applied the foundation, I noticed it gave a dewy finish to my skin, lending it a healthy glow. However, the coverage seemed to be on the sheer to medium side, leaving some imperfections slightly visible. I couldn’t quite determine if it was buildable, but I could definitely vouch for its lightweight formula.

Affordable Pricing

One aspect that particularly impressed me was the pricing of the NARS Foundation in India. Priced at 4300 rupees, it was a relief to see that it didn’t fall into the exorbitant price range of some other high-end makeup brands. Comparatively, it seemed more accessible and reasonable.

Miracle complexion

Sponge on this side, so I’m directly going to pick it up with the sponge. Okay, I’ll say that I probably use this with a brush because I like this finish more and it was also easy to apply with a brush. So, this is definitely a “my skin but better” kind of foundation. This has sheer coverage. This is how one pump looks on my skin, okay. So, up close, this looks so good. It doesn’t really feel like a foundation. It feels like a tinted moisturizer – very light on the skin.

Now I’m just going to try and build it up on my pigmentation and see whether it can cover it or not. I’m using my pack 218 brush and let’s just try to cover this, okay. I can see some coverage, so I have applied about two to three layers around my mouth. The thing is that it still looks very, very natural. It’s not covering a lot. I would say that you can get medium coverage – that’s the maximum coverage you will get from this foundation, but it looks very natural.

Liquid bronzer

Now let’s try and use the shade 2.3 three as a liquid bronzer, okay. So, this is like a very warm shade, as you can see. Also, a little deep for my skin tone. It can be the perfect bronzer – let’s find out. I am using my pack 234 brush and I’m just slightly applying this. I love using the darker shade of a foundation as my bronzer because the way it blends and the way it melts into your skin is just amazing.

Wear test

Now, I’m going to do a little wear test with this foundation. I’m going to wear it throughout the day and see how it holds up. It’s currently morning and I’m going to check back in a few hours to see if there’s any oiliness or if it’s still looking fresh. It’s been about four hours now and I can say that it still looks quite good. There’s a bit of shine on my forehead, but that’s expected. The coverage is still holding up and I’m impressed with how natural it still looks.

The Clean Girl Foundation

The NARS foundation is being touted as a “clean girl” foundation. It offers minimum coverage but manages to blur out imperfections on the skin, giving it a flawless finish. What really sets it apart is the amazing glow it imparts on the skin. It’s a glow that doesn’t look artificial or heavy, but rather clean and natural. If you’re looking for something with a little more coverage but the same beautiful finish, you might want to try the Smashbox Halo Tinted Moisturizer, which also delivers amazing results.

The Radiant Creamy Concealer

Moving on to the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, we have a few shade options to choose from. One shade is medium-deep, tube caramel, while another is medium-deep 2.5 chestnut. Swatching both shades, it becomes clear that the medium-deep shade matches the author’s skin tone better. This shade is not meant to be a highlighting shade but rather something to cover pigmentation and dark circles on top of a medium or full coverage foundation. The caramel shade is the exact match for the author, while the 2.5 chestnut shade can be used as a color corrector due to its pink undertone.

Application and Blend

To test the coverage and blendability of the concealer, the author applies a small amount to their under eyes. The concealer has no specific fragrance just like the foundation. Using their fingers, the author blends the concealer into their skin, assessing its coverage and how well it blends. With the transition shade and the crease shade in place, we can finally apply the black eyeshadow. It is worth mentioning that you can use either a coal eyeshadow or a gel eyeliner for this step. In our case, we opted for the Lancme Iconic Cadel eyeshadow.

To even out the black eyeshadow, we used the PR P1 brush. However, if you prefer, you can also use a gel eyeliner for a similar effect.

I decided to remove the lip balm before continuing with my other videos. Although it was necessary for practical reasons, I must say I was quite fond of its effects.
