The Perfect Wand for Bottom Lashes

An Upgrade from Clinique
I used to use Clinique bottom lash mascara, but the wand is about a half, maybe even a third of the length. It also costs more and it dries up a lot faster than this.
Working Wonders on Straight Lashes
Now I have stick straight upper lashes that I have to curl with a lash curler. Most of the time, I need to use a very, very light layer of waterproof mascara before I apply any regular lengthening volumizing mascara over them. Otherwise, that curl in my lashes will straighten right back out. This Maybelline mascara does that really nicely, but my primary purpose is for a bottom lash mascara or for just a no makeup makeup look. It’s great for that too.
Maybelline’s Full and Soft for Fluffy Lashes
Maybelline full and soft is a great lengthening, volumizing fluffy soft lash mascara. If you want one from the drugstore, it is really nice.
Everlasting Favorites
I feel like no matter what other mascaras come in and out of my life, no matter what other favorite staple mascaras I rotate or that are living in my vanity, currently, this is living in there with them. Maybelline full and soft also rotates in and out of my drawer. They’re just staple repurchases for me.
Facial Sunscreens
Facial sunscreen is a finicky thing. I have my preferred facial sunscreens that I wear under makeup and then the ones I really enjoy when I go in the water. But when Brooke took both of my Alta MD sunscreens with her to college, I realized it is a brand that I will always repurchase. I’ve been repurchasing it for some time now, and I have some favorites in the line that I just don’t want to be without.
The UV restore and UV clear are two products that come to mind. They work really well for me and I always keep them on hand. There are also some tinted versions that I really enjoy, as they provide a nice coverage. Summer Sunscreens
During the summer, I still use and reach for other sunscreens. One of them is the Summer Fridays Shade Drops. It’s a mineral milk sunscreen that I absolutely love. It provides great protection and leaves my skin feeling refreshed. Another favorite of mine is the Bare Minerals Skin Longevity Vitamin C Brightening Moisturizer. It not only has SPF, but also contains vitamin C, making it a perfect multitasking product for the summer. The glowy finish it gives works well under more matte foundations, giving my skin a radiant look.
Elastin Replenix
While I enjoy using the Elastin Replenix products, there’s something about the formulations from Alta MD that keeps me coming back. 1. Re-densifying Brow Serum
This is probably my third tube of this. They have a nice substance to them and they stick around theyre, nice and flattering now. As you see me, apply the re-densifying brow serum in this clip here, youre going to see that my brows are sparse and they are in even but Im hoping that youll be able to see that this has filled them out a little bit. I really went into this with zero hopes partially because there are no prostaglandins in this and thats, usually the active ingredient in lash serums and brow serums. That actually does something, but I was missing hair at the front of this brow. Specifically, I also was missing both tails of my brows. At one point, this one has almost completely grown back. This one is in the works, but I now have brow hairs at the front of my brows and all I was really expecting was conditioning. This has hydrolyzed keratin and a pentapeptide along with a Botanical extract blend, and it is doing something so Im happy with this.
2. Restoring Hand Treatment
This is a newer product that Ive been using, for I want to say six to eight weeks off and on I havent even been using. It every night – sometimes I use it twice a day, if I remember sometimes just one its definitely not a product thats going to work overnight, but Ive been pleasantly surprised with the changes that Ive seen. They also have a really good, restoring hand treatment that lives here.

The Only Blotting Powder I’ll Repurchase
On my vanity, it helps treat signs of aging on the hands, including dark spots, so it does more than just hydrate your hands. Out of all the blotting powders I’ve tried, the Fenty Invisimat Blotting Powder is the only one I am certain to repurchase. However, as the nature of my job involves testing new products, there is always the possibility that my preferences may change. I used to use Mac blotting powder for an extended period, but I have found myself using the Fenty blotting powder for even longer. Its performance has exceeded my expectations so far.
Laura Mercier Invisible Loose Setting Powder
The Laura Mercier Invisible Loose Setting Powder is one of those beauty products that I constantly find myself repurchasing. I have tried many other setting powders from brands like Shiseido and Maybelline, but none have impressed me as much as this one.
Repurchasing and Discovering the Repackaging
This is actually the second time that I have purchased this setting powder, and I have already hit pan on it. Despite this, I fully intend to repurchase it again. Recently, while doing some research on the product, I discovered that it has been repackaged.
Previously, the powder came with a small magnetic brush that attached to the end of the container. Personally, I didn’t like this feature as I preferred using a poof. I would always have to add my own poof to the container. However, the new packaging now includes a refillable container with a puff inside. This change in packaging has me quite excited to repurchase it next time.
The Appeal of Invisimat
One of the main reasons why I love this setting powder so much is because its name, “Invisimat,” perfectly embodies its qualities. When using this powder to blot or touch up during the day, it truly feels invisible on the skin.
Often, I like to use a blotting sheet to get rid of any excess shine or oil breakthrough. If I don’t have a blotting sheet on hand, I simply use this powder to do the job. Regardless of how I use it, it never looks powdery or leaves a white cast on my skin. Although it might appear white in the container, it transforms into a sheer veil when applied, seamlessly blending into my skin.
Blotting Powder for Shine Control
One of my go-to beauty products for keeping my T Zone shine-free in the humid climate I live in is a blotting powder. It does wonders in blurring my pores and giving me that nice invisible shine diffusion. I went through entire bottles and couldn’t stand being without them.
Perfect for Fine, Oily Hair
This haircare line is a game-changer for me. I have a lot of hair, but it’s very fine and tends to get oily at the scalp while also being dry in the lengths. When I apply it lightly, it gives a subtle and natural look. However, what I really like about it is that when I apply it with a heavier hand, it transforms into a beautiful rosy pinky brown nude. This shade pairs wonderfully with deeper lip colors, making it even more versatile than your typical “my lips but better” lip liners. Plus, it works exceptionally well as a fall lip liner. I can’t get enough of it!
Iconic Nude
What can I say about Iconic Nude? It’s simply the perfect neutral brown shade. Many brown neutral lip liners tend to have an orange undertone, which can make them look too spicy on the lips. Others may have a grey undertone, making them appear too cool. However, if you have warm undertones like me, Iconic Nude is a dream come true. It blends effortlessly with my natural lip color, creating a seamless and natural look. I’ve repurchased both Love Trap and Iconic Nude countless times because their formula is creamy and opaque. Once applied, they hold onto lip colors like nobody’s business. Even though they are long-lasting and practically budge-proof, they are surprisingly not drying on the lips, which is a quality I really value in lip liners. Honestly, I can’t imagine ever not having these two lip liners in my collection. They are my go-to staples!
Mac Mineralized Skinfinish Natural
I almost included a different product for this next one, but because I’ve repurchased this so many times and will continue to do so. It needs to be in this video and also because I included Fenty Invisimat Blotting Powder, and this is a powder, but they serve two completely different functions and aren’t interchangeable at all.
This is Mac Mineralized Skinfinish Natural. The shade that I have is medium plus, which I always get asked about. I don’t know why that is. I have light-medium skin that is neutral, leaning warm-toned and medium plus is my shade. I’m hoping you could see that that was, you know, pretty sheer.
What is a Finishing Powder?
So it’s a finishing powder, if you’re not familiar with what a finishing powder is used for or typically used for. I have an older video on that that I should probably update, but they’re perfect for giving your finished makeup after you’ve fully completed everything and airbrushed candle lit glow type of finish, without looking powdery or heavy, they just kind of diffuse everything. They’re also really great.
Tone Down Excess Makeup
If you apply too much of something too much Contour bronzer blush, they can help tone that down very easily. The reason why this one is the standout is because it’s the Goldilocks uh finishing powder. It just does everything the right way. It’s got the right level of sheer coverage, it’s not too heavy, it’s not too sheer, so that it does nothing, but it doesn’t cover up the makeup that I applied completely either.
